I have been in to Lydia's shop mainly for manicure and pedicure. She approached me about getting lashes done. I'm thinking I'm 64 yr old, WHY?? Well let me tell you, I have gray brows, I try an add a little color in the morning. By 11am in the hot months my brow color is now gone from sweating. So I decided to go for it. Lydia adds a topical numbing agent. And it works. Very painless procedure. I now have gorgeous brows that will need some touch up in 2 years and I can sweat all I want an brows don't disappear. I have been going to Lydia for years for my beauty needs and she is amazing! I've worn lash extensions on and off for 10 years but nonstop with her for the last 4 and I can say Lydia is absolutely the best! They always look fabulous and last very long. I usually go to her every 4-5 weeks which I've never been able to do with anyone else. They never feel heavy, always look full, and my own lashes are way healthier than when I've gone to others. I always get compliments, even on week 5! Lydia does a great job with all her beauty services. She's microbladed my mom and auntie and they love their results. I had the pleasure of meeting Lydia the other day. Our visit consisted of a brief consult and some ideas on what I wanted to have done that afternoon. I decided to have my eyebrows and eyeliner done so she went ahead and took proper measurements to ensure placement was just right. Lydia is the only one I trust for this stuff! She is more of a perfectionist than I am and that's a big deal! I first met lydia 7-8 years ago when I was still hopping around from salon to salon trying to find someone for my gel manicures. I told her "I'm picky" (but inside I'm begging and pleading- desperate to find someone who takes their time, cares, and does a great job without treating me like a number) not sure if she spoke English or not (she does, very well, no language barrier whatsoever), and I was ready for it to just be another chop shop. But I was blown away, she read my mind! She was very gentle and careful and I didn't have to say a word! She did it PERFECT the very first time. And for a couple of years I only went to her. She finally convinced me that everyone in the shop she owned did a great job, she trained them. So I slowly started venturing out and she was right. Lydia knew every customers name, I never could figure out how she'd call everyone by their first name when they walked in! I went every 2 weeks so I was very aware of how she ran the place and how much time she took to care. Well she eventually started to do less and less nails and more and more lash extensions- which are the best of the best!!! So now she still does my lashes and I won't go anywhere else. I've tried other spots when I'm out of town and I'm so mad at myself when I do. She listens and does whatever I want. Not what she wants. (If you don't know what you want, we'll of course she will guide you). I don't like heavy lashes where all you can see is lash and no eye. I have heavy lidded and small eyes, but the lashes I get (j curl, classic (not volume)) really brighten my entire face and make me feel so pretty. I seriously can't be without them. There was one time we tried a C curl, I hated them at first and I text her and she told me to meet her tomorrow she will take off and re-do! She's very serious about waning us to be in love with her work and wants us to be honest. She doesn't get upset or take it personally, she uses the info to grow and learn and loves when we give feedback. I didn't have her redo my lashes, I actually ended up liking them and just waited the 5 WEEKS to get my fill and we went back to the J curl. Yes I said 5 weeks!!!! Not even kidding- and I am not careful at all with my lashes- I also wear mascara everyday! Some people will say "well if you have the right lashes you won't need mascara" that has never been true for me, I've tried high end lash salons, popular lash salons, plenty of others have done them and I always wear mascara. I just like it. So yes, lydia's lashes last the longest and she has a far better price than anyone I've found! So the other day I got brave and had her tattoo my lips. I'm not a gloss wearer or lipstick wearer by habit- I never remember to reapply it's just not something I'm good at remembering- until I see pictures and wish I had lipstick on! So I had her do my lips and even though I KNOW how particular, picky, careful, gentle, and meticulous Lydia is, I was still nervous. I am in love with my new lips! She of course did it perfect the first time. It didn't hurt! Everyone told me I'm brave because they hear it's excruciating pain- and it wasn't! She numbed the area with an antiseptic numbing cream that worked wonders! So I didn't feel a thing!!! Towards the end I felt it a little and she reapplied numbing cream and then I was fine! I'd do it again a thousand times, I'd recommend everyone who know and don't know to trust her! Even the lady in the waiting room at Lydia's shop saw my lips and stopped to ask me about them, she took a picture and got Lydia's business card and wants hers done ASAP! Don't hesitate, she's the nicest and most genuine person, she's an extremely hard worker! Lydia is an all around amazing human. I can't share personal stuff, but she has a great big heart and takes care of the less fortunate through charities and direct giving. This is a WELL DESERVED and EARNED review. read more
