Beware. I have been struggling to have the 200 amp panel I hired Pharaoh Construction to be completed-to-code, as they initially did not complete the panel installation to code and two inspectors submitted changes that Pharaoh Construction were to complete, including the panel was not grounded (2nd ground) and should be placed 6 feet away, tied into water source, panel was not labeled, incorrect wire usage inside the panel, and missing multi-wire brand circuits. After multiple emails to owner over a period of time (10/27-12/9) asking for him to complete the job I emailed the owner, John, and let him know that I would invoice him if I had to hire another electrician. He came out and let me know he'd completed the job. Upon the city's second inspection he did not (again) complete the job to code. The item John did not correct was an original issue that was never fixed in the many times his team came to my home, forcing me to hire and pay another electrician.
Finally I hired another electrician and he shared that the brand new panel already had overloaded one wire and the wire was BURNT inside the panel along with other mistakes / not being constructed well and to code. I have posted pictures of the burnt wire in my brand new panel, this is due to load issues when John and team first installed the panel and new wiring incorrectly and could have led to major issues and fire if not found by new electrician.
Please be aware that if you pay 100% for a job, before finalizing inspection by the city, sadly it is unlikely this owner will honor completing the job to code (in this case). It was extremely hard to get ahold of John via email or phone. Each time I called Pharaoh Construction no one answered. Only when I expressed concern and that he would be invoiced did John come onsite to finish the job...still not to code.
Lastly, the owner of Pharaoh Construction suggested I pull my own permit, which I was told by a certified electrician likely signifies John is not certified or does not have a certified electrician working on the Pharaoh Construction's team. This company has caused me stress and extra money for a job that is quite straightforward. read more
