We hired David initially to repair a major leak into our garage stemming from an above dividing balcony wall between our front neighbor's house and ours. David provided a comprehensive answer regarding the leak, something the other contractors we interviewed were not able to do. He was also able to give us a ballpark number in terms of cost whereas the other contractors gave us a very large possible window. More so, David is a true craftsman and knowledgeable about all things construction wise. Not only did he repair our dividing wall, but he also helped with our front door that wasn't properly installed initially and other odds and ends around our home. Our neighbor was so impressed with his work that she also hired him. And he has since done work for family members nearby. Lastly, we also had a major plumbing issue, and David was quick to refer an amazing plumbing company. We trust David completely, and I can't recommend him enough. He is also a kind, thoughtful person which is an added bonus. read more

I called a ton of people and custom closet places about making shelves to match the odd triangular shape of one useless closet I have. I knew it could be done, but no one seemed to be able to do it. David understood my vision completely, and custom built 4 triangular shelves to make my closet actually useful! He comes when he says he will. Works hard to get it done right, and the shelves are exactly as I wanted. They still need to be painted, but the shelves are up! Now he's moving onto all of the other unsolved projects I have around my house. read more

David completely replaced our whole back balcony on the 2nd floor of our house. Not only was he the most affordable quote we got to do the job but he is very passionate and thorough about his work. He was on time, reliable and trustworthy. On top of all of that he coordinated and expedited all the inspections that the city had to do as part of the permit for the job. We will not hesitate to use David in the future for otherwork on our house! read more

Our privacy fence fell over one night due to wind and a heavy vine, and we were left staring straight into our neighbors bedroom. Dave came to our rescue and built us a brand new and improved wall to give us all back our privacy. We decided to take this opportunity to create our very own vertical garden, and we couldn't have asked for a better result. Not only did he execute our vision, but he also coordinated having the anchoring neighbor wall refurbished so it would be a sturdy and safe base for the privacy wall. His concrete guys did a great job, and then Dave came back with the beautifully stained walnut wood and built it in 2 days. We can't wait to start building out the vertical garden to complete the vision. Dave delivers what he promises and has some great stories and conversations along the way. Highly recommend him as a trustworthy, talented and kind contractor for any of your home projects. read more

I cannot say enough good things about David Wolfring of Wolfring Woodwork in Redondo Beach. He is incredibly talented and came to our rescue over the last few weeks on a relatively small job (in his world but huge to us) that arose due to a leak from our roof into our exterior wall during the last round of heavy rains. I texted him on a Sunday and he got back to me within an hour and visited our house to assess the situation a few days later. It was eminently clear to me from my first conversation with him (and backed up by further conversations) that he is an expert in his craft (and takes great pride in it as well). Once he had a plan for our issue he worked us into his incredibly busy schedule and then completely remediated our issue in short order. He was thorough, professional, communicative, on time, and on budget. He also was patient with us and explained every step of the process from the beginning to the end. I look forward to hiring him in the future for far more fun projects like built-in's or perhaps a bar. I can't say enough good things about David and he has our unreserved endorsement based on our recent experience with him. read more

David is a true gem and we would certainly hire him again for work on our home. He has replaced a cracked and splitting wood support on our front porch, as well as a rotted and oddly sized door on the back of our house. David spent weeks corresponding with us to help find a replacement door; at no point during this time did he express frustration or refuse to help without promise of payment or work. He offered to pick up the door for us, brought all of his own equipment, and knocked the work out in one day. The results speak for themselves, as a testament to David's skill and level of quality craftsmanship. I will treat that new door like gold because it came out so beautifully, and is perfectly installed in its frame. David is personable, honest, and does fantastic work. Thank you. read more

David is a craftsman and the quality of his work is outstanding whether it is a tiny job (changing out a light fixture) or a major job (remodel to mitigate and prevent future water damage in a below grade garage). He thinks about the job very carefully, generally proposes alternate solutions and discusses their pros/cons with you to come up with the best approach. When an unexpected glitch comes up (that's life!), he restrategizes instead of forcing a less than great approach. David respects the design of the home he's working on. He is scrupulously honest and straightforward. He is without question my go to person for any work on my properties. read more

Wolfring Woodworks is excellent - professional, meticulous and fair! David's attention to detail is second to none. He has done big and small jobs for me as complex as complete balcony replacements on all floors of my home, to projects as simple as mirror and light fixture replacement. Dave, however, stands out most for coming to my rescue when my home flooded. He was at my home within minutes of my call and guided me through the process from start to finish. His skill set is huge - I recommend him without any hesitation. read more

David is a professional and joy to work with. He did an excellent job replacing wood support posts under an exterior stairway on an apartment building. The old post were cracked and rotten. David did exactly what he proposed in his written estimate including installing a temporary support, demolishing the existing support, grinding old concrete flat to install post anchors, building new supports and bolting supports into the stair stringer. He knew exactly what to do from the beginning and completed the job to perfection. It is a huge relief to find a trustworthy craftsman who does quality work. I highly recommend him. read more

3 days away from home buying contingency and found out the the friggin 2nd floor deck was rotting away and needed to repair or replace the whole decking. Must of spent 6 hours calling every single deck repair company. Out of min 25 companies I called, 22 of them were absolutely no help, 2 were somewhat informative but very vague and David was absolutely a miracle sent. He took his time explaining every possible issue, options and even inspected all the photos I sent and we thought through every detail of issues, possible options and even a rough estimate so I can go back to the home owner and reduce the buying price to cover this repair. If someone is willing to take the time over the phone and educate the customer in details & guide them step by step, what else can you ask for in a contractor? I can't say this about the other 24 companies I called. He got my $20k job for being so informative and helpful. Looking forward to seeing his craftsmanship. read more

David is a amazing and detailed individual. And it shows in how he conducted himself during the projects I worked on with him. The Quality of workmanship and materials used are always above industry standards. David is a bright light and a consummate professional in a sea of very average contractors. One of the biggest stand outs is he is trustworthy and honest to a fault. One of the biggest concerns for most people considering a project is who would you trust around your valuables and in your home and around your family. David checks all of these boxes I have always felt 100% completely comfortable having him around he's an amazing individual. ***** read more

I'll start off by saying that I would highly recommend David Wolfring for any needed carpentry and handyman work (if the 5 stars didn't make it obvious). A few months ago I noticed a couple of breaks in a ceiling beam in my garage. After reaching out asking for quotes from different companies, I found David to be the most responsive and offered the most affordable estimate. I also had each company come to my house to inspect the issue and David offered the easiest explanation on how to fix the problem and showed how his estimate ties in with his suggested plan. He seemed genuine, humble and very patient with answering my questions. You could tell he was passionate about what he does and not just trying to lock in new business. I appreciate people like that and it definitely showed in his work as well. On the day of the job, he arrived on time, he completed the job on schedule, and he was very good about cleaning up the job area after he was done. read more
