The incident occurred in the parking lot, and there was no other possible cause for the damage. I spoke to the site manager, who seemed to understand what happened and wanted to check the debris and talk to his supervisor. I thought they were taking responsibility. I sent a formal request for resolution. The site manager said his supervisor--who wasn't even on site--rejected it and said they would contact me. They never did. Later, I found out Ewell told building management they weren't working outside that day and denied responsibility. If that were true, the site manager would have mentioned it when I first spoke with him. Either way, the company never responded. It seems they value saving a few hundred dollars more than their reputation or respect. Their refusal to take responsibility is baffling and makes me seriously question their integrity as a company. I cannot recommend a company that will not own up to its mistakes. If something worse happens and there's no security camera or other proof, they will likely deny it. I am done wasting time with them and would avoid any involvement.

I have had a poor experience with this company. Firstly, they were a referral from a roofer as the…read moreBEST in waterproofing. They took months to come water test my house. They cut holes inside in the drywall, which they never repaired, and charged $1800 instead of the $450 in the contract. I paid it, because I need the specific repair work done and did not want to ruffle feathers. HOWEVER, it was like pulling teeth to get an estimate to do the work, and took months just to get that estimate. I was told Darrell was on vacation for a month in the middle of all that. Then, an estimate came that was more like an outline, and definitely not specific enough for anyone to pick up the baton and do the work except them. I did see some of the iPad results of the water test, and believe that much to have been competent. It's the follow through that is TERRIBLE. I still don't get call backs. I should say that my home is a beautiful home with a panoramic roofdeck, tiled fully, with multiple large solarium windows, and a built in tiled jacuzzi spa and outdoor kitchen. It is stunning, but is still only under $1200 square feet. I finally received a more itemized estimate for $480,000.00. Yes, you read that right. They want to rip off the entire top of my house and re-do. But, even for that, it does seem excessive. I called to discuss, and nobody every called me back. That was months ago. I am disappointed and do no see how they are in business, but I think an estimate like this says they are intimidated by this job. Had I known how this would go, I'd have at least held them to the original bid on the water test. Because if all they want to do is start over, why even to the water test? AND, if you pay for a specific service, it should be in a format that can be shared with other contractors. I have ZIP from them for $1800. I would not be leaving this review if they had been conversant and did follow up as one would respect for the amount of time and money spent.

David provided a comprehensive answer regarding the leak, something the other contractors we interviewed were not able to do. He was also able to give us a ballpark number in terms of cost whereas the other contractors gave us a very large possible window. More so, David is a true craftsman and knowledgeable about all things construction wise. Not only did he repair our dividing wall, but he also helped with our front door that wasn't properly installed initially and other odds and ends around our home. Our neighbor was so impressed with his work that she also hired him. And he has since done work for family members nearby. Lastly, we also had a major plumbing issue, and David was quick to refer an amazing plumbing company. We trust David completely, and I can't recommend him enough. He is also a kind, thoughtful person which is an added bonus.

He gave us a ton of information, didn't try to sell us anything, and did this all for free. I know whom I'm going to call next time I have a solar glitch, or want to upgrade my system. You can't buy generosity, or good heartful service. It has to be given. Nick Bar is my solar guy. He should be yours.

Their quote was very reasonable, their team was professional and considerate, and the project stayed on our agreed upon timeline even though we added scope to the project. They helped transform our dated 70's style home into a modern open concept living space! Eric's team demoed a small dividing wall in our living room to open up the area, they installed recessed lighting throughout the house, new laminate floors, new kitchen cabinets, new appliances installed, 6 x 4' island installed, with tile backslash, and quartz countertops. We reconfigured the layout of our guest bath and doubled the size of our master bath installing two spacious showers with hand installed tile in both bathrooms. We had the entire interior repainted and also had new windows installed throughout including adding an additional window in our living room. Castillo Engineering & Construction will be our first call for any future renovation projects.
