I am soo pleased to say, Jeff is the real deal. I received his bid/estimate 24 hrs after meeting him. No one else did that. I was instantly impressed by his customer service. He arrived on time every day, to the minute! Walked me through the steps on a daily basis so I would understand what he would be working on and how. He also didn't mind picking up an item that was needed for the project. That's all about Jeff. He's a stand up guy. A rare gem in the South Bay. He's warm, approachable and easy to talk to. And doesn't mind taking a little extra time to explain his thoughts and opinions on the projects. Now about his work. Wow!! He went the extra steps needed to make sure the floor tile was properly leveled and installed. My dishwasher height posed a big problem but with Jeff's analyzing it and experience, he tackled the problem. Whew! The final product is incredible. Visitors can see right away the high quality of work, ooohing and ahhing over it. His work ethic and quality of work is higher than any contractors I've met in a very long time. I'll definitely be referring Jeff to my friends who are in need of a tile project. read more

I knew of Jeff's workmanship because he installed new bathroom tile in our HOA many years ago. His work quality, responsiveness and professionalism remained the same. I hired him recently to replace grout and install new caulking in both bathrooms. He contacted me right away, gave a fair estimate and scheduled the work within a week. Used the correct tools and did not rush the job. He purchased the silicone caulk and left me with both cartridges when done. Highly recommend Murdock Tile. read more

This is our second time hiring Jeff. Calling him to re-tile / repair a leaking shower floor after he did our kitchen backsplash was an easy decision. Jeff is professional, trustworthy, and reliable. It's important to him that he does both his paperwork and his tile work by the book. His subcontractor for the hot mop was also reliable and neat, which was very important to me considering this project was in an otherwise finished bathroom. I highly recommend Murdock Tile. I just hope he doesn't retire before our next project! read more

I hired Jeff Murdock for the first time to do a new shower stall tile installation in my home. I had spoken with a couple of other tile installers, but Jeff stood out as someone with high integrity who has the advantage of many years perfecting his craft. His professionalism will immediately impress you: always respectful towards the client, has excellent communication skills (a rare quality), and a work ethic that amazes (the guy never takes a break!). Also totally focused when he is working on your project - never takes phone calls and never gets distracted by text messages or other extraneous things. The quality of his work is excellent (see photo). He consults with you at important points during the project and will provide great feedback for concerns that you have. I had a great experience working with Jeff, and I could not be happier with my new shower enclosure. I highly recommend Jeff for any tile projects that you may have. read more

Jeff did a fantastic job! My probably 30 year old grout on the tile in my shower was starting to crack, etc. so Jeff came out, reviewed the situation and repaired it in less than 4 hours. The new grout looks great and he used a very strong replacement so all should be good for a long time. I so appreciate his attention to detail! I will definitely use him again.... read more

Jeff Murdock is 5 Stars! The tile workmanship in our bathroom is excellent. We did not hire a contractor to save money. Jeff was willing to coordinate with the hot mop and plumber, while he did the "old school" tile craftsmanship and minor carpentry work. What we love about him is he is considerate with extensive experience and was able to offer good advice on design details. He clearly cared about making sure not to dirty our house. read more

The best tile installation contractor I have ever come across. Jeff just did two bathrooms for us. A complete remodeling of a shower in the master bathroom, and a combination bathtub/shower in the guest bathroom. I couldn't be happier with the results. Jeff did a splendid job from start to finish. I can't say enough about his attention to detail and his craftsmanship. He went to the tile center after I had picked out the materials to confirm the quantities and to make sure that everything will fit as planned before I placed the order. After which, he picked them up for the installation. The work areas are cleaned up each day. He made sure that I was involved and informed when decisions or choices are to be made to make sure that I will be happy with the results. Even the glass enclosure guy was impressed with Jeff's work!!! I highly recommend Murdock Tile, you will be happy with his work. read more

Murdock Tile - Exterior tile installation of travertine medallion and surrounding tile - Tiling Near Me - Redondo Beach, California

After years of living with cracked old tile and doggie-damaged carpet, I hired Murdock Tile to replace all of the flooring on the lower level of my house (about 1500 sq. ft.) with fabulous Italian porcelain tile that looks like wood. It's doggie-proof and even husband proof. My realtor friend recommended it, rather than hardwood. He said it will never get damaged or stained and I will never regret it. So I started researching companies to install it. That was tough, because these tiles are expensive. I didn't want to invest in buying them and then not be happy with the results. So I called everyone I knew who'd done home repairs, every contractor who'd ever been recommended, and the very best tile store I could find. Two of my sources gave me "Jeff Murdock" as "THE guy" to do it. I couldn't be happier. Jeff and his assistant, Antonio, weren't cheap. But they arrived on time each day, kept the mess to a minimum, and did a fabulous job. Besides that, they were just really great people to welcome into my house each day. I highly recommend "Murdock Tile." read more
