Here are some of the reasons they are amazing: 1) Ted S., the owner and head designer, had the ability to combine artistic, logistic, and technical requirements for the project. He was upfront and realist while being able to take us out of our comfort zones to show us what might be possible. 2) Kris, the project manager, was the person who made everything run smoothly. It didn't matter when I called, if she didn't know the answer, she'd find out! 3) Peter, the site manager, runs a tight ship. His crew was always professional, polite, and most important, CLEAN. Each day began and ended with the day's work completed and the worksite left tidy. 4) All the crew and subcontractors were amazing! It was obvious that Verity makes an effort to choose only the best. These guys were hardworking and always showed up with a smile. I'll always appreciate how much effort they put into doing a great job. In the end, any project as large as ours runs into hiccups but no matter what, Verity always took care of us. We can't wait until the next project when we can hire them again. Ted would give us a few different layouts or options and then each time we met we would work together in defining the final product much more. It was really an organic process which could be stressful at times but Ted managed to help us through it all. He really did his best in taking the time to understand what we have in mind and provided us drawings for it. Tony was the man in charge of the implementation and on site supervision. He ensured everything was built properly and his team has amazing skillful hands. I wanted some specific tiles to be laid out as part of the design and his colleague was able to work with me and laid it out exactly the way I had in my mind. My husband and I recently had our bathroom remodeled by Ted and Tony at Verity Baths and the experience was absolutely wonderful. We'd gotten a rough design plan from an Architect friend of ours, so that stage was partially done before we came to Verity for a bid. However, Ted was super helpful in working with us to finalize the design plan, both technically and aesthetically. He has a huge wealth of knowledge about how to bring a design to life, both from the technical standpoint of what will and won't work construction-wise, and what materials will work best for the space, and also how to work with colors and fixtures to make the space beautiful. We met with Ted a couple of times to hash out the budget, which was very reasonable, and he never tried to push expensive items. He really just wants you to have what you want, and be happy. He also met us on a couple Saturday mornings at Ferguson Bath and Cal Tile to help us choose our materials and fixtures, which was enormously helpful and accommodating. He has a lot of great suggestions for places to shop for what you need, and a lot of contacts in the area. Once construction started, we met Tony, who oversaw the construction at the house. Tony is super friendly, and the group of workers were really good about making as small a footprint in the house as possible. Tony always made sure that we knew exactly what was going on every day, and made sure we had a chance to work out every detail with him as things progressed. He always had suggestions to help us get exactly what we wanted. Near the end of the project, I felt that the medicine cabinet and vanity light were too high (not Verity's fault - they placed them where we told them to) and Tony came back with a worker to move them down, which I was very impressed with. The team stayed on schedule, and the bathroom looks absolutely amazing. We also worked with Jennifer, in the Verity office, who is a color expert and was a huge help in choosing our cabinet and paint colors. She was always spot on with exactly what I wanted. The budget for this project was extremely reasonable, and won out over 3 other bids we had done for the space. I couldn't recommend a place more highly than Verity Baths, they've earned every star. read more

We have to give another shout out to Verity Build. Our Kohler mirrored lighted bathroom mirrors were showing wear after two years. Ted suggested we work with Jennifer and Ferguson's where it was purchased. After sending a letter and photos to Kohler we were able to have both cabinets replaced. Warning to new customers: These folks REALLY DON'T WANT YOUR BUSINESS. And they make it very clear. First time I called the very nice receptionist said they were booked for the next five months but I could speak with someone if I desired. I said I would like to move forward and she said one of the owners would call back that day. Never heard from him. Called back a few days later and asked if one of the owners would call me back and was told he was out of office but would call back asap. That never happened either. They should really just be up front and say they are not accepting new customers until they can catch up on their work load. Ted & Tony, the owners, personally oversee every project. They were wonderful to work with: professional, extremely competent, and very detail-oriented, ensuring that everything would be perfect. Ted handles the design and he gave me very useful ideas I never would have thought of. Tony is responsible for implementation and execution with their crew, who are all full-time employees versus contracted subs, which makes a big difference. Verity has full control of their schedules allowing them to stay on track with the schedule. My new kitchen is GORGEOUS. I'm not surprised at all because when they remodeled my master bathroom a few years ago, I was every bit as pleased with the results. Verity went above and beyond in taking care of my needs, including resolving issues that weren't of their doing (My power blew out completely right after the kitchen remodel was completed. Verity Baths recently remodeled our bathroom to make it handicap accessible & we had a very limited space to work with. The existing bathroom was small & we were only able to add another foot or two to allow us to eventually move around in a wheel chair so planning was very important. My husband was unable to help me work with the contractor so it would have been easy for Verity to take advantage of my lack of knowledge. Ted (one of the owners) spent many hours with me in the planning stage & actually shopped with me prior to the build starting. Scheduling and communications was incredible & Jennifer (office manager) was always on top of the details, one of which was getting the city permits, & she kept me informed as we went along. During the build Tony (the other owner) made sure the placement of everything worked & came up with ideas that would enhance the area. He and the fantastic crew answered my many questions and explained the process as we went along which I really appreciated. Their staff prepped the area each day paying close attention to my new wood floors & cleaned up at the end of each day. Someone was there EVERY DAY & if they were going to arrive later than expected I was notified in advance. Tony made sure we were happy with everything as the work progressed & both he & Ted worked alongside their staff when needed. I met with 6 contractors & Verity was not the least expensive but there was just something there that made me feel like I could trust them (I'm from the generation that did things with a hand shake) which can't be done anymore. Ted, Tony & Jennifer were very professional, and their staff definitely reflected their attitudes. I can tell you personally that Verity is a competent and trust worthy contractor that went out of their way to be sure what they promised actually happened. Full disclosure: I did not hire Ted and his team at Verity and I wish I had. I hired another remodeler and regret it very much. Shortly after completion, our new 30K kitchen was flooded as the remodeler chose not to replace a 70 year old rusted iron drain pipe in our wall and would not own this huge mistake. I came to Verity in duress: Jennifer and Ted were buried busy but returned my calls quickly and prepared a quote to fix our mess even faster and for less money than our contractor who caused the whole problem. The company sent a design guy to my home and he had several design ideas for me which was good, I needed the help. I wound up going with new granite counter tops (pearl blue) and refacing the existing cabinets and adding new hardware which costs less then brand new cabinets. A couple of years ago we bought a house in Lomita that needed some TLC. The kitchen was a priority and Verity Build was the contractor we finally chose and are very glad we did. Ted did the design and is fantastic to work with. He listened to our wants, needs and desires and then came up with a layout we could afford that was almost perfect. After a lot of thought and several tweaks we had a great plan on paper for a price we thought was fair. After signing the paperwork we met Tony who was the on site supervisor and demolition began. I can't say enough good things about the various work crews. They showed up each day on time, were always polite and happy, told us what was going to happen that day and always cleaned up after themselves. Part of the remodel was moving one of the kitchen walls 3 feet, which could have caused major dust issues. The dust was well contained and kept to a minimum. Jennifer, a great designer in her own right, runs the office and kept orders, payments, product deliveries and schedules on track. The project was supposed to take 6 weeks but was finished a week ahead of schedule and on budget. This is our 6th house and we know quite a bit about problems with home remodeling and I can say without hesitation that Verity Build is fantastic to work with. They may not be the cheapest but they are truly excellent to work with and you get more than you pay for in the long run. We look forward to using Verity Build next year to remodel our two bathrooms. read more
