They have some great vases there and I bought one. It was fairly priced, less than a lot of stores. I love their plain white dinner plates and bowls. They have all different sizes. The service is very nice, but they do need some people on the floor to help, especially with cabinets (and yes you will be putting them together, have fun with that). The store is super clean and the items are kept smartly in sections because they do have a lot. I loved check out. It was easy and someone helped me to my car, but you do have to ask, which is fine. I believe they pioneered the flat-pack concept to minimize transportation costs, thus making their customers assemble the products themselves. They used to publish an annual catalog, primary marketing tool, that several hundred pages thick; the final print cease during the pandemic in 2020. The Carson location is a 3-level large warehouse with a labyrinth-like layout (feels like those mouse maze contraptions with a cheese prize at the end... LOL) that's starts with home living: living room, kitchen, dining, bedroom (3rd) to fixtures/accessories: home organization, bathroom, cookware & tableware, lighting, children's IKEA (2nd), & finally decor: home decor, rugs & flooring, faux & real plants, with Swedish bistro/food market (1st). The "As-Is" section is on the left before the check-outs with select items up to 80%; they're deeply discounted, often showroom displays, gently used, or discontinued, so inspection is crucial before purchase. As-Is are generally final sale & excluded from their standard return policy. Currently, the bistro is closed for remodel (pending inspection to open), & temporarily located in the 2nd floor. My oldest piece is a work desk that's 25 years old. Other furniture purchased: queen bed with storage, twin bunk bed, 5-piece dinner table with chairs, 2 2-drawer rolling storage carts, 3 drawer dresser (doubled as a baby changing table by adding a changing mat), children's table set with 2 chairs; accessories: 2 gaming chairs, child swivel chair, floor lamp, storage bins & containers, rugs, door mat, mugs, drawer/shelf liners, etc. I have yet to schedule delivery on our purchase because our purchases either fit in our car or we borrowed a friend's truck for the larger pieces like our L-shaped couch. Customer service is great when staff is around; they're friendly, helpful, & mostly knowledgeable (had some issues with a kitchen order & he didn't understand what we needed for our remodel). Sometimes after shopping, we would stop by the bistro for a treat or lunch. I love the Swedish meatballs plate with green beans, mashed potatoes, & lingonberries! It's good food & priced affordably... I liken their bistro to Costco Food Court. I missed those olden days with a free cone for your Yelp check-in. I was surprised that TooGoodToGo had an IKEA surprise bag. I had trouble finding the "main" pick-up counter, & was directed to the furniture pick-up by the cashier; the attendant was kind enough to escort me to counter (took a pic for TGTG patrons). I actually missed it because it was unmanned when I walked in. I wasn't able to find the Vintersaga snack prices in USD since these are seasonal goodies; found their €uro value: €24.97 (~$29). I paid $5.99 for a TGTG estimated value of $18.00, but received $29.00 worth of goodies. Yasss! I love these warm spiced cookies for the kids' snack & great for dipping in milk. The milk chocolate bar was tasty with cookie crumbs, but the gingerbread taste is mild. The pralines are a buttery & sweet chocolate with nutty, earthy hazelnut notes. If you're in need of furniture & handy with tools for DIY projects, IKEA is the place for you. And hungry after 3 floors of maze? Drop in the bistro for some eats & treats. read more

So for starters if you've never been here expect to be here a while. You'll start off on the top floor if you go about it the way I did and you'll walk your way down two floors walking through all the sections looking at things you weren't planning to buy when you got there But you'll probably end up getting one of the bags or one of the carts even if you didn't think you were going to. It's been over 10 years plus since I've been inside and I have to say I totally would get how somebody would constantly come back to look at what the new offerings are and see them a sample room in order to envision it for themselves. I like we're gonna leave you alone policy that the staff employees and let us know if you need help mentality which is my ideal way to buy stuff. Pencils and pieces of paper all over the place along with kiosks for you to look up items etcetera Great little idea A lot more stores should employ this concept. Once you make your way through sometimes you might get lost along the way but it is what it is when it comes to that. Went through self checkout but there are several staff members there in case you get stuck or you need help or to stop those from stealing. Plus you land in food court area Where you can try different types of carbonated beverages if you like plus they had some good deals on meals for the day that showed up in the kiosks and large signage throughout the store. There is food on the bottom floor as you're leaving similar to like a little grocery store in addition to tables where you can sit down and eat your meal that you might have bought like Swedish meatballs. Ran into somebody else and they told me the one in the valley is a little bigger and as it was you need a pit stop along the way in this one to take a break and catch a breath There should be food stations on different floors so you can take a snack like running a marathon. All in all decent pricing and of course the unique design and naming conventions for the products they sell is interesting. read more

I bought a bar table and chairs from Ikea and ordered assembly by Taskrabbit. The Taskrabbit assembler used the screws intended for the chairs to assemble the table, then couldn't assemble the chairs because he didn't have the right screws. He blamed the problem on Ikea and told me to ask Ikea to send me new chair seats with pre-drilled holes since the remaining screws were not self- drilling. It took four phone calls to Ikea to realize that the problem was that he incorrectly used to self-drilling screws on the table. All Ikea agreed to do was send me a new set of self-drilling screws for which I'm still waiting one month after the furniture was delivered. I will never buy anything again from Ikea because I'm getting too old to assemble things myself and Taskrabbit can't be trusted. read more

What a weird location. Nothing seemed to be in stock. The café was closed and the place was pretty much empty as far as customers. It was the most dismal IKEA I've ever been to. Didn't have anything I was looking for and not a staff member in site except for at checkout. Even their escalators were out of commission. Great second experience here! We found birds of paradise plant we liked off the bat in the very beginning of our walk through ikea. We flagged that we liked it and planned to look for it later on in the plant section. Turns out it was sold out and this super nice worker helped us. He walked all the way across the store to find it with us and then offered us an excellent price for it. We also got floor mat. They've got a whole section for "as is" items apparently where you buy items as is, so they're either damaged or display models. There they ended up giving us an additional 35% off unbeknownst to us and when we checked out the plant went from $40 to $13! Yaaay! read more

Oh boy... I hadn't been to an IKEA in quite some time, and I probably won't be returning again any time soon. While I admire their use of technology, I found it confusing, cumbersome, and slow. It took forever for my wife to return a few simple items, and even longer for us to find, scan, pay for, and pick up a small $29 end table, all thanks to the technology that is supposed to make things easier. There is also a fair amount of construction happening around the entry and exit, which didn't help the overall experience. On the positive side, they still have tons of stuff, so if you are willing to navigate the maze, you will probably find what you need from their seemingly endless selection of products. The cafe bistro was closed for remodeling so there was no hot prepared foods that could be purchased and the escalator to get up to the third floor was out of order so you had to wait to take the elevator or take the stairwell. Not sure when the remodel will be finished but if you want swedish meatballs, go to another location. The rest of IKEA was standard with the directed path hiding you through every show room and all the inventory available. read more

As of May 1, 2025, this IKEA location in has finally stepped up its bistro game. Bringing in 3 types of chocolate cake slices and the rainbow cake slice that you'd find at other IKEAs as well as the pasta with meatballs. No real entrees other than the meatballs but that's alright. And everything is a served in paper boxes, some plastic clamshells, and bamboo cutlery. They've been making efforts for sure towards sustainability. Hope these extra treat items stay for the long term and that Smaland reopens soon. read more

The good: I love their kitchen section with cups and bowls. You could get a mug for 79 cents and a set of 3 pots for $10. It's so affordable and great for dorms or apartment folks who have limited space and budget. They had Christmas items on sale when I came today. Their frames and photo section is great and super adorable compared to similar items you could get elsewhere. My toddlers have fun playing in the kitchens in the display areas. I'd consider this a great date night location. The bad: This IKEA doesn't have a food court. They sell food downstairs by the check-out area but they don't have a dine-in cafeteria like others do. Their daycare area has been closed on all 3 of my visits. The interesting: The market hall is divided into 2 rather than 1 floor. We came to IKEA to kill some time and get some home and office ideas- we did just that. We bought a few small items. All in all it was fine for a store, relatively clean and well kept. The few employees we interacted with were friendly. Family restroom was clean although the (fresh) toilet seat covers were stuffed inside a feminine hygiene receptacle- not the best choice in my opinion. The selection of items is robust with lots of options and styles, IKEA has gotten pricey for what it is, I wouldn't say the value adds up to the cost. read more

My how this place has gone downhill. The furniture hasn't changed much, but the automated cashier's are disheartening. Then there's the "Cafe". You order from giant screens like you see in some fast food restaurants. The meatballs were bland, and came in a cardboard container. To round out the depressing experience, the soda machines didn't work, not that I would have used them. I prefer water. Just in case you are the "skim the review" type, I will lead with this: The level of customer service is OUTSTANDING at this location. THANK YOU TO JAY, for first of all knowing how to handle a crazy system failure during check out and leading her team to do so gracefully. There was also the fact that I was really having issues and in order to help them help me, I had to get a pick ticket generated, the sales person forgot to add delivery, it was a LOT of having to back to the showroom, plus I didn't ring something up correctly. Honey, it was a tedious situation and I wasn't helping matters by trying to figure out delivery, get the right item numbers, etc. WHEW. Jay took the time to walk me back to where I needed to be, and then also helped me save in delivery fees by making the smart suggestion of at least TRYING to first to get the purchase in my car. She saw my face and then said, don't worry. I'll help. She did. DUH. It fit!!! This could have been a stressful situation but she literally handled things for me with such friggin' expert direction that it was a pleasure to be there for an extended amount of time. I really appreciated so much of the HUMAN side of the connection that was there. Real warmth. Real humor. Real caring. I had a great "moment". This was our first time at this location. The layout was a little different from other locations I've been to. We were on the first floor then somehow we ended up on the third floor. Completely missed the second floor. Anyhow, we came on a mission to find a few things for my niece's new place. She even scored a few plants and a terracotta planter to place the plant in. It was on clearance. Not sure why, there were no damages to the planter. It was someone's lost for not purchasing a large planter for a great price. There was only 1 line for check out. An IKEA employee directed the flow of people traffic to various checkout lanes. I had trouble signing up to IKEA family. It worked once I got home. IKEA has always been one of my favorite stores. It's always a love hate when you have to build certain items but once finished they are amazing. They have so many fun ideas and the way they display a room or kitchen are great cause you get ideas that you can bring to your home. So even if you aren't the best at decorating an area IKEA will help you. I came in wanting a little hanging basket to add to the bathroom and even scored a plant to put inside and it looks great! There were some other ones that I had seen at a store but saw this one and it was perfect. Anything you can think of for you home if it's kitchen, living room, bathrooms, patio they have it here very budget friendly and some great items. Their food court is pretty rad as well they have a computer screen thing that you can order ahead and pay and then pick up makes it easier for sure instead of making a big line. Strap in Sailors, I've got half the day off so my fingers are Gucci to go for some keyboard clacking. This review is more about the service of the workers more than anything else (also you guys kinda pricey, but whatevs, in this economy that's like every store out there + their mama's store). Look, I prefer to drift about a store aimlessly not making eye contact or exchanging breath with a single soul- Leave my introverted behind alone, or I will shrivel into a ball of pure nothingness. But I really don't mind if at least one person approaches me and asks if I need help, I do have a shred of humanity somewhere under my epidermis. But today at IKEA- NO ONE asked me if needed help, not one single person. I walked by like 8-9 employees in the hour I was at there, sometimes multiple times (not on purpose), and no one acknowledged me, I may as well have been a piece of furniture imagining myself as a human walking around the store, wondering what it's like to be a real boy. Like who's the anxious introverted shopper here?! Certainly not the people with the blue/yellow polo shirts that say IKEA on them, unless there's some IKEA cosplay convention going on today that I'm oblivious to. It's not the biggest problem in the world, but in hindsight, I'm a little gobsmacked that no one peeped a word at me. A few times I got glances from employees, but no initiation of conversation. Like am I bothering people? Am I not supposed to be there?! Do these workers think this is their home and I've barged in and disturbed their privacy? It's a week day, there was barely anyone there, you can't tell me that you can't utter at least one "HEJ!" at me. Bruh if I was getting paid to work in an air conditioned room, I'd be striking up convos and zapping a "HI HOW CAN I HELP YOU" at every poor soul that strolled past my being. AND NOW- the reason why I'm writing this review (and no, it wasn't about all the employees playing "hide and seek and don't talk to the customers" with me, I just decided to add that). What's hilarious, is that the one employee who did help me was at check out, and she said ONE word to me, and it's that one work that made me Keyboard Warrior straight to this Yelp page. So I'm checking out, and I don't shop here too often anymore so I don't know how checkout works, but its a little different at IKEA than elsewhere. You have to apparently wait in line and wait for an attendant to point you at a self checkout machine (which makes no sense, cuz there's like no one there, but whatever, I guess Swedish stores are different). SO I get pointed to a self checkout machine, and I look at the machine when I get there, and the light is RED- The guy at the machine next to me, his light is GREEN. I look around, & all the other unused machines have a red light too. In a normal store, this means said checkout area is CLOSED. SO I'm sitting there going, wait, what's going on? I look at the screen & it's got this weird yellow background and it says something like "An attendant will be to help you shortly." AND AGAIN, in a normal store, when you see a message like this, this means SOMETHING IS UP WITH THE MACHINE. SO I try scanning my items to see if that does anything. NOPE. I get some error message or something. AGAIN, IN A NORMAL STORE, if you scan your item at a self check-out, the self-checkout process starts. SO I'm sitting there going, okay, somethings wrong, she sent me to a busted machine. I call a different employee over and I point at the screen, & she comes over and clicks a button on the screen, looks at me and goes "DUH". DUH?!?!? DUUUUH!?!?!?!? EXCUSE ME?!?!?!? I'm at IKEA and the one word that gets spoken to me is DUH. as far as I'm aware, that's not some wholesome Swedish greeting that'll cater to America's positively perceived image of Sweden. At the time I was just so flabbergasted that I didn't say much, I was like "Well, I thought it would start when I scanned it", BUT GOT DANG WAS I HEATED LIKE A SUMMER COOK OUT. Like who the Köksbord works as an employee and thinks "I'm gunna say DUH to a customer". LIKE COME ON. I'm not gunna sit there and explain my whole dang thought process to her (As you can see, it took me two paragraphs to write it here). I really thought that I had been hoodwinked into going to a closed machine. I use duh from time to time, but I USE IT WITH FRIENDS, not with random customers at work. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Ernesto one of the managers handled situation on June 3rd 2025 @ 2-3pm VERY HORRIBLY. No communication with your team at all. Ernesto cuts his customers off and is very disrespectful. We spent over an hour being sent back fourth. A cashier had asked what was wrong and did NOT hear my whole side. Ernesto asked what was wrong and the lady started talking over me and he stopped me from talking and wanted to hear her instead. Telling me when he was ready for me he would listen with his hand in front of me. This cashier had no idea what had happened she was not present during situation at all. My fiance had asked why Ernesto never asked to hear my side and he said "oh I'm sorry I didn't know YOU HAD A WHOLE STORY." This was very rude on his end. He did not let us talk about the troubles we had experienced with upstairs team, cashier box team, and registers team. He did not care to hear out anything or to hear that their upstairs QR codes are sending everyone to bins downstairs not for as is items. He did not want to hear anything at all. As someone with severe anxiety... I am shaken up and very anxious. This was handled very poorly. bought the malm bed here earlier this month to mine and my fiancé surprise when we open the hard ware it full of termites LIVE termites. Immediately called customer service and after more than an hour of talking to them, them calling the store then calling me back to talk to me since we can't call directly to the store they said they would pick it up and bring me another bed? They didn't even seem to believe me when I kept repeating there was live termites in the new bed. They also stated they never heard of that happening. I can't be the only one. I had live termites in my house we made sure to vacuum and kill any we saw and clean really good but please check your furniture twice before putting together. read more
