This time I was just a walked in I was so lucky the man gave me a pedicure and my no chip manicure. It was very relaxing and pain free pedicure how sweet. I took the Metra and left me right by it. I had a hard time finding this nail spa because I not a normal salon is a House turned into a nail place. When I walked in they told me to go sit in the back to get a pedicure I almost walked out because this place looked dirty and all the spa chairs were warned out. My first instinct I don't want to get an infection. I figured Google you sent me to a ghetto looking place but I figured all this trip and go empty handed no sir I stayed! The manicurist gave me the best pedicure ever. I had a good massage it included warm stones to caress my legs, a sugar rub, and also a warm towel wrapped my feet. What I loved was the fact that I was NOT hurt in anyway. My manicure was the same. No pain, no pulling, no poking. I made the right decision. I have been here for pedicures a few times and I haven't had an issue. I was here Friday for a pedi and decided to add a mani to my visit. I had no appointment so I waited about 10 minutes. I saw the owner I think, she answered the phone and the payment receipts were left at her station. I had an old no chip on my hands so she wrapped my nails and took me to the pedi area. My pedicure was rushed, she stepped away from me many times and left nail polish on my skin around my big toes,since she was rushing she never went back to clean it up. After my very mediocre pedicure I was walked back to her mani station. She removed my polish and began my mani. Again she walked away from me and stopped my service many times. I walked out with the worst manicure ever. The polish is all bubbled and not even. I was planning on going in on Monday to ask for a redo polish but I'm not going to bother. This is what I get for going to a shop like this. My manicure was 20.00 for 6 more I could have gone to my usual place and gotten an excellent manicure. I did like my previous pedicures, the salon is clean and the price for the regular pedi is good. I recommend pedicures but my manicure was awful. read more

I go to get my nails to relax not to walk out frustrated with experience and Kim was standing by me when I was signing the receipt to make sure I tip. I stumbled upon this gem of a nail salon via the internet sometime last year (2013). Although there are a lot of nail salons literally 2 minutes away from me (both home and work), I make it a point to drive to Wheaton just to get my nails done once a month-ish. First thing's first - their prices are affordable, but their service/work they do is 99.9% of the time impeccable. My go-to person is the owner of the salon, Kim. She is one heck of a power woman! Not only does she take calls while she is with a client without skipping a beat; she is always open to my nail design requests! At times they get so busy to the point where I feel bad for their nonstop workload. I would highly recommend making an appointment ahead of time especially Fridays and Saturdays. Talk about walk-ins nonstop! Bottom line - I am a huge fan of Phabulux Nails and all their employees! I've had my nails done by most of their employees, and they all do a good job. I love this salon! I would highly recommend this place for people with anxiety. There usually isn't more than three other customers in the store, and it's quiet and relaxing. Prices here are much better than other salons ($50 for a gel acrylic nail fill and replacement of two nails). They really take care of you here! I decided to take my mom here to get our nails done, we both got full acrylic sets with plain polish over top. No designs or special requests and they charged us $45 each. The service was quick and efficient. Both of our nails look good, but considering they up charged us a total of $20 for no reason this place is definitely not worth returning to. The pricing board clearly stated acrylic full sets are $35 and up, which is already significantly pricier than most other salons. Anyone who's been to a nail salon before knows that basic polish on top of an acrylic set is included in the cost. It's pretty clear the workers just wanted to pocket some extra money. read more

A gift card for a mani and a pedi was what drove me here. I really don't have a favorite nail place, to me they are all the same, so I'm big on convenience. This is located in an older house and it's really pretty on the inside. There are hardwood floors and lots of natural light. It has a very relaxing experience. I walked in around noon and there were plenty of people to help me. One thing I didn't like was the "upgrades" to the pedis. I just wanted polish on the nails, but I was handed this elaborate menu for upgrades. You know the feeling you get when you go to a restaurant and there are too many items on the menu? Yeah, that's what I felt. I guess my lack of upgrade led to a quick job because I was out of there in less than an hour. I don't have long fingernails, but I'm used to the pedi taking almost an hour. There was no friendliess or forced conversation, it was eerily quiet. They did the job they were supposed to do, but there was nothing specatular there to make me want to return. This is located near downtown Wheaton and while there is a little parking in back, you are probably going to have to park on the street. There is a nearby Catholic grade school that has dismissal around 2:15, so if you go then there won't be any parking spots. read more

If you are looking for a cheap and fast pedicure, this is the place. The price is right--$22 for a basic pedicure, but be prepared to be rushed through. I could barely get out of the chair after the pedicure before the nail tech picked up my purse and book (without asking me) to take me to the 'drying station'. What really bothered me was that I made an appointment with the owner and was then told I would have another young woman as the tech. She was ok, but she trimmed one of my nails in a way that caused pain throughout the next month, something I had never had. The last appointment with the owner was disappointing. She was very rough--where I yelled out in pain. This shouldn't happen. I thought I'd give her another chance and made an appointment for today. When I came in, I was told I would not see her, but the other young woman. I put down the nail polish and left. I will never return to Phabulux and would not recommend it. read more

Nope.... you can tell she had someone waiting because the second this client walked in the girl began hurrying. If you have another person let me know or get someone else. I am in love with this salon! It's very comfortable and cozy, the pedicure chairs are top notch. The staff is quick and efficient, with great polish skills. They have a huge assortment of no chip and regular colors. I have not found a place as great as this since working in the city. My co-workers get their nails done here and suggested this place to me. The prices here were the most appealing. They've both been going for a while now and my co worker indicated her last appointment was on a Friday, and the staff here took walk-ins ahead of her. That concerned me just a bit because I wanted to run over there during my lunch hour for a pedicure. I made an appointment for 2:00 on a Wednesday for my pedicure figuring it's not the noon lunchtime rush hour so I'll be ok. There is parking in the back, but I suggest the street/metered parking - .25 for an hour. There was plenty of it out front. I walked in and pretty much all the manicure stations were going. I was told to pick out my color, and I did and I proceeded to sit and wait and wait ... and wait till 2:15. Another woman was also waiting for a pedicure, she walked past me twice and could have at least started the water for my feet to soak but didn't happen. Finally someone who was done with a manicure made her way over to work on my feet. She actually multi-tasked and turned on the water for the woman next to me waiting for a pedicure as well. It was a decent pedicure for $22....so I'll throw this place a few stars. I wouldn't recommend this place if you're in a hurry, as they don't seem to honor reservations well either way. A year ago I would haven given this place 4 stars, but this past Saturday really put me over the edge. I now live in the city and only come here when I visit my mom and we make an appointment to get our nails done. It used to be my absolute favorite, clean, cozy, and they always did a thorough job. I've noticed over time they've really become a busy, popular place. I would be happy for them, but they don't understand how to prioritize people who have made appointments prior and balancing the walk-ins with those you have planned ahead. It's unfortunate to say, but just 48 hours ago I was getting my nails done and I know have not one, but two chips in my no-chip manicure.... It's really quite unbelievable. ESPECIALLY because I did not hit my hands, or do anything rough that could cause chipping. The young girl that worked on me was rushed, and at the time I did not really mind because I know how stressful it must be for them to be jam packed right at 10 am opening on a Saturday morning. $35 dollars later for my no chip manicure plus my tip for my mother and I, it's both sad and safe to say I will not be returning. read more

And the location is great: Right off Main Street in downtown Wheaton, 111 W Willow is a lovely old house which has been changed into an elegant nail salon. My daughter and walked in without an appointment, hoping we were not too late for services. Ms. Kim and the rest of the staff welcomed us graciously and we both felt we were treated to outstanding services. And this salon is CLEAN. VERY Clean. Making an appointment is probably a good idea, especially because the more clients this salon gains, the more crowded they will become. Prices, by the way, are more than reasonable. Color/polish selection is outstanding. Go for the mani/pedi combination and select the No Chip polish. Pretty good overall. Been here five times now, today first pedi. Nice and clean in a cute house close to home. Staff not too chatty which I actually like because I just like quiet when in any salon. I don't care for no chip manis so I still do acrylic short and they do a nice job, prices very fair. My only disappointment is that with all the competitors nearby that give a great foot/leg massage included for the same price they could improve this! I have gone to a few nail places and I never really liked how any of them did my nails, they were either too rough, the nails were too thick or they lifted off in a couple days. I told the woman there that I'm not used to long nails due to me not having acrylics and that my nails don't grow past a certain length.
