First time here...Walking into this place is the reason why I gave it four stars you're immediately hit with a strong chemical nail smell... The other nail salons in the local area do not smell as strong... they need to increase their air filtration. I had a headache the whole time. Purchased the 62.00 Deluxe lll pedicure. It was mediocre at best. My pedicure was at least 15 longer then the person's I went with as their technician was late even though I scheduled a week in advance. My male partners toe nails were completely cut off and had no nail to file straight across. They looked like they had been picked off completely. We won't be back as I've had better service near by with at least a twenty dollar less charge. read more

I loved this place! There are many nail places in Wheaton, but Cute Nails is definitely one of (if not THE) best! I had a fantastic experience with my pedicure today. This was by far the cleanest nail salon I have ever been to. The foot baths are lined with a disposable plastic liner, which I watched them take out of the package and install on the bath for me, so I know it is changed every time. I also watched them take the tools (cuticle clippers, file, etc.) from a sterilized bag, like what surgeons take a scalpel from. They don't have the largest selection of colors, but as an OPI lover, I was satisfied. Prices are very reasonable. $25 for a basic pedicure, $14 for a basic manicure. $36 for a basic mani/pedi. The staff is super super nice. TIP: they prefer tip in cash! read more

My hubby & I were very pleased with our first time visit to this salon quite close to our neighborhood. It looks brand new inside, but we were told they've been?open two years already! Very clean. Well maintained. It was a slow day, so actually nice to have a casual pace. My tech had zero people skills, but she did an excellent job. The first thing I asked upon entering was if it would be okay to use my own nail polishes. Unlike Nail Tek and most other salons that frown upon such a request, the response I got at Cute Nails was, "Oh yeah, sure!" with a smile. So I'm currently out here in Wheaton a few days before my birthday and in a time rush I followed the reviews on this exact Yelp. I made an appointment with sky for the same day (today) and I'm not disappointed! The whole time he was super understanding and open with you to make sure you liked what you were having done before you left the chair. He made sure my nails were fully dry, fixed the extra acrylic that would get under the nail, make sure the shape and length are EXACTLY what you like. I went here after seeing all of the positive reviews on Yelp and reasonable prices but unfortunately, was not impressed. The first thing the person doing my nails asked me was what ethnicity I was. Throughout my manicure, he repeatedly called me "sweetie" in every comment he made or question he asked, despite having established that I was 21 and had graduated college. I got a no-chip manicure and he made multiple comments about how my nails weren't drying because I wasn't putting my hand far enough in under the UV light which was burning hot and unusually painful. After leaving and examining my nails, there was spots of nail polish on several of my fingertips and unpainted edges of my nails. Would not go here again. read more

Everything here is so clean and nice. Very simple, modern decor-no tacky colors or beach scenes. The nail technicians are very friendly! Mine didn't speak much but I was so fine with that because I just wanted to relax. They had the front and back doors open for a gentle breeze and it was just what I needed! I came here specifically because of the good reviews, although it is near a half hour drive from me and not in the direction I go to for anything else. I wanted a treat for a mother-daughter day out and this was definitely fun for us. They kept us together so we could talk, a gentleman did mine while a lady did my daughter's. The staff were friendly and everything was very clean so we had a pleasant experience... but you'll have to read on- We both had mani-pedi with no chip. That's $56 each plus tip ($5 for each service) so $66 each, $132. The very next day, my daughter's left thumb polish came off half her nail. By that evening so 24hrs after service, the whole nail was bare. 2 days after that, the polish on every single nail had chipped off. When we were looking at each other's nails as we were leaving, we noticed that her polish was much thinner than mine. I am writing this 2 weeks after service, and my no chip is still in tact on every nail. I'm pretty sure that the lady who did my daughter's nails, did not do a thorough application of the no chip polish. I gave this place 4 stars because mine were done perfectly, but based on my daughter's, they would've gotten 1 star. I'm not sure that I'll go back, but if I do, I am sure it would only work if I get the same gentleman again. read more

I have gone 3 times for a pedicure and eyebrow wax. First, I cannot comment enough on how clean everything is. The pedicure utensils all come out of sealed packages and the foot soaking tubs are lined in disposable plastic liners. I avoid places where the utensils are reused after use and kept in blue liquid after each client. My eyebrows are naturally heavy. My technician does a vastly superior job of cleaning them up with a soft line and gets all the growth above where the brow should end. I stopped going to Ulta when they starting giving facial waxing since the middle of the retail space. The facial waxes here are in a separate room, fast and relatively painless. Again, the equipment and atmosphere is clean. The prices are a good value. A pedicure is $25 and takes slightly over a half hour. The quality of products is good and they don't dilute the polish. My feet look great for well over a month. They do a nice job removing callouses without hurting and with a scrub brush and the massage is delightful. They are very nice, don't try to up-sale and give the impression the technicians are doing well. read more

I've been here twice and LOVED my nails both times, but was especially pleased this last time I went. The man (I don't know names still IM SORRY) always does mine and he's GREAT. First of all, I called on a busy Saturday for an appointment and had to be there before 3pm, it was 12:50 already. They squeezed me in right away with no wait. Second, I'm a huge nail biter and I got acrylics. This always makes me anxious but he didn't mind AT ALL. I asked for a short coffin shape and mine are a little longer than expected but still LOVE them. And he asked if they were too long and I said no- so that was my choice. Then I couldn't decide between two pinkish nude colors so he said I should try using both! I was so for it. He put the darker one on bottom and then 2 layers of the lighter one over it and it's PERFECT. I'll attach the photo of what I wanted and what I got. They're so similar just mine are slightly longer (which I said was ok!). $30 all together for the full set of acrylics and getting them painted. Will continue to go here :) read more
