I come here all the time, but after this experience I will never come to this establishment again. I rarely write reviews, but I don't want anyone else to have to go through this. I was a walk in appointment, and they told me to come back in 40 minutes. Totally understandable, so I did. When I returned, I checked in and then I sat there waiting for another 10 minutes before another woman walked in and said she also had a 6:00 appointment. The staff then told a client whose nails they were already working on that they couldn't continue her design because the woman who had just arrived had an appointment. After hearing that conversation...and knowing I had already been waiting over 20 minutes myself...I spoke up and said that I also had a 6:00 appointment. The other woman left because she was understandably frustrated, and then the staff proceeded to ignore me. I get it if they are busy, but the fact that there was no communication between any one of their employees or me was ridiculous. I finally asked how much longer they think it would be. They said they were finishing a design. (Even though they were about to stop the design to work on the nails of the woman that came in 10 minutes after me) I asked again, and they told me about 20 more minutes. So I was told to wait 40 minutes before coming back, then waited another 20 minutes after I arrived, only to be told to wait an additional 20 minutes. That's completely unacceptable and incredibly disrespectful of customers' time. Absolutely ridiculous. I will never be coming here again. read more

I'm fairly new to Glen Ellyn and I wanted a set of gel nails put on like I have in the past pre pandemic but done short, I showed her a picture for length and shape. I made an appointment with a senior nail tech assuming she was more experienced and not just older. It was expensive because it's now a spa too. When I got home and really looked at them my nails were so thick. I broke my arm a couple days after so I couldn't go back to get fixed and took them off myself. They gave me a coupon for next time but I'm not going back. read more

Got a gel manicure for the first time at this location today at 11am, by 7:15pm it was already peeling off! $44 for a gel manicure that completely peels off in a matter of hours is not okay! I paid cash, no receipt and did not get the woman's name or else would mention here. I'm leaving for vacation tomorrow or I'd march in there demanding a refund and fix. Went during prom so I get that it was very busy. Got dip and french tips and you could see the dip lines very obviously in the finished nail and the french tip was messy. My experience at OrigiNail Salon & Spa has been nothing short of amazing! The first time I visited was after I had moved to the Glen Ellyn area and wanted to find a nail salon closer to home. I booked an appointment online (very convenient, by the way) and was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed the service. The salon itself is clean, nicely decorated, and very welcoming. They play music in the background (not loud though) and have TVs muted. Overall a truly enjoyable environment to be in, especially for the time that it takes to get your nails done. Since that initial appointment, I have requested to have Tracy do my nails every time. She is so kind, patient, and accommodating, always checking-in to make sure I am happy with the results and asking if I'd like something to drink. If I am unhappy for whatever reason, she will fix my nails immediately without an additional cost. My go-to is a Dip on my fingernails and a No-Chip on my toenails. I would highly recommend anyone to try OrigiNail Salon and Spa, and if you can, have Tracy provide the service! read more

My only comment is the space is a bit cramped. They could probably make the space less cramped but would have to take out some chairs or tables. Here's the cuticle damage my daughter endured from Originail on Roosevelt in Glen Ellyn. Both thumbs were cut and bled. Another finger was also cut. Horrible job and service. My other daughter also shared how her and her friend were being talked about by some workers. Workers were pointing at them and talking about them. So disappointed. Shameful job and service. Loved the shoulder massage during manicure. Wasn't a fan of the no talking to client but talked to other employees.

Called to see if they are free for an appointment, they said yes. When I got there I waited 30 minutes. Not professional.

I went in for a removal + new set of dip. I sat there with acetone on my nails for an hour before the removal began. I was in the salon for over an hour before my nails were removed. I ended up leaving before even getting a new set of dip nails because it took so long and my fingers/ cuticles felt raw from sitting in acetone that long. The staff was very nice & gave me a $5 coupon, but I don't have 2 hours to get my nails done. read more

Walk-in service was fast - I waited about 10 minutes on a busy Friday evening. Was able to sit beside my friend who was getting a no chip while I got a dip.
