This place had shockingly bad customer service. Whatever you do, don't go to Jenny. She has a really bad attitude and rushes through the service in the worst way. I ho to get my nails done to relax and dealing with her is stressful. She's very very rude and obnoxiously loud. I tried two others who did an ok job but were still very unpleasant to deal with. I have gone here many times in the past but during the last two visits for mani/pedi's, the tech would clip and pull when cleaning up the cuticle resulting in tears that were sore and bright red for days. Not the look I was hoping for when going to an event. I will not be back. read more

When I asked them if I could see other colors the tech told me that was the only colors and the best polish for what I was having done. ( mind you both side of the facility was lined with every color imaginable) I then asked to have coffin cut nails . I ended up with a color didn't want and a nail shape that wasn't coffin cut $100 later!! Totally ridiculous! If I could give a 0 star I would. This place just wants you in and out and takes your money. I couldn't go to my nail salon because it was more than an hour wait. I think I would've rather waited than to get the experience I got at Nail Tek. My husband and I went in for pedicures and my husband picked the more expensive pedicure because it always takes me longer and he thought it would kill time for us to be done at the same time. On the menu it says 35-40 for his and 25-30 mins for mine. We were sitting in the chair for our pedicure for 15 mins total. They didn't even rub the dry skin off my feet and they massaged for 1 min. Rushed on the whole pedicure and did a Terrible job. Would NOT recommend, they also asked to zelle a tip or go to the atm because we didn't have cash. read more

I've gone there a few times for a gel manicure. I'm very pleased with how long it lasts. I've had gel manicures for years and typically they would last 10 days-2 1/2 weeks before they would start peeling at the cuticle. Manicures at Nail Tek have lasted as long as 4 weeks! I don't know if they use better quality base coat and top coat but whatever the reason I'm very happy with the results. I highly recommend this place. read more

My manicure at that place was not a good experience! It was rushed and sloppy!!! The nail polish was not put evenly, the cuticles were not cut properly and I was out in 25min!!!!! Don't waste your money and time here. The 1st two times I came here I as actually satisfied. Then last 2 times no so much. They did sloppy job with my nails. My nails were cracking with in days of getting them done, to the point that they would brake. I went and ask if they could fix it and she did, but with attitude. Then I went home and noticed in better lighting that my thumb nail was not even. I went just on Friday to re full my nails and I did not noticed but then when I got home I noticed that my nails are not even. I've come here a few times for a no-polish pedicure. It's soooo relaxing and the service is great. From the moment you walk into the door to the time you leave, they really take care of you. I always get the "premium" pedicure package - minus the nail polish. When you first get there, they let you soak your feet in a hot tub of water with a water jet. It feels sooo good and relaxing. Then they go to work on your nails. Pretty straightforward. Every nail tech I've had there has always been very gentle with my nails. I'm also pretty ticklish, which they find funny but can easily work around. After your nails are trimmed and looking good, they rub some lotion on your lower legs, which feels like a little massage. The chairs you sit in are very large, and have a massage feature built in. You can adjust the seat to your comfort. I often sit back and enjoy the pampering. Sometimes I surf the web on my phone and sometimes I talk to the tech. It really depends. The entire experience is very relaxing, to say the least. Even as a guy, I have no problem going here to get the occasional pedicure. They have always made me feel comfortable. If you're a guy, don't feel weird about getting your toenails done. So I didn't go for a while thinking it was just a band color. But then I went on Friday july 14 to get my nails done for my birthday and it was rushed, with where the polish was placed on my nails it looked like it was already growing out almost a week and today I see that half my polish color is YELLOW. Staff are very friendly. Efficient. Great selection of polish. I got the organic pedicure which was nice. Make sure to bring cash for tip. There is an ATM but charges a fee. Pros: It's staffed well and you usually don't have to wait or the wait is short. The nail techs all usually do a good job. Like anywhere, a few are better than others. Cons: The upselling, not just a friendly suggestion which would be ok. But asking more than once and being disappointed when you say no. My experience is majority of the time everything goes fine. My friend is a regular here and when I told her I needed a mani/pedi, she made us appointments and got us in. This place is crazy busy and apparently quite popular with the Real Housewives of DuPage County and the teens that will one day follow in their Manolos. Cattiness aside, they were nice, fast and did a great job. I apparently left my phone there and didn't realize it until they had closed. By the time I figured it out, they'd attempted to call someone in my contact list and then before I got there the next day, they also called my friend to try to locate me. I was so grateful they made the attempts they did. My pedicure lasted for well over 3 weeks, my manicure didnt fare as well, but that's mostly due to me being clumsy. I have since been back and enjoyed my experience again. It was the middle of the week, middle of the day and they were still busy. We were then escorted back to our pedicure baths where we were able to sit by each other... Man, this is one place of refuge for me whenever I want to unwind and get pampered. The staff are great, hospitable and thorough. I really like how this place is managed. The manager is great at making sure all those who walk in are taken care of. Although there are times they are super busy and you end up waiting a while for someone to start your pedicure. They prioritize having a very sanitary business. I love it. The pedicure tubs are lined with disposable plastic. I'm impressed. So impressed because most places I've been to, I've only seen women come in for a pedicure. The times I've come in there are men, MEN, who are getting pedicures.
