Staff is amazing and personable. Lots of laughs with them and conversation was the perfect amount! The pedicures are top tier as well.

This place is so affordable and ABSOLUTELY worth every penny. It is literally the best pedicure I've ever had. I stumbled across this place 9 years ago and never really lived close enough to come back, but I have always remembered the fabulous pedicure I got there and have been searching for a place closer to me that compared, to no avail. I happened to be near here for other reasons and stopped in and they did NOT disappoint! Even after all these years. The Good: Get the spa pedicure! For less than what a tank of gas costs, I got 2 hours of heavenly pedicure bliss. Scented foot soak, sugar scrub, moisturizer, hot stone massage, paraffin dip, paint and design and 2 hours relaxing in a comfy massage chair. They were kind enough to offer me a cold bottle of water as well. Charlie was my nail tech. She did a wonderful job. She didn't speak much English so it was a very quiet affair, but she was very sweet and accommodated all of my requests as I asked. The bad: Honestly nothing. It was all great. I should have asked for super hot water when they first started filling, but when I asked for hotter water, they quickly accommodated me by mostly emptying the tub and refilling with lobster boiling temp water as I asked. I went to this salon because it's closer to my house than the one I normally go to. I wanted a no chip manicure. As you walk in, you notice the place is actually very dirty. I tried not to pay attention and hoped that my nails would turn out great. I sat down next to this lady that was already getting her nails done. Well, the tech was going back and forth between me and her USING THE SAME TOOLS, WITHOUT SANITIZING THEM OR USING NEW ONES. I should've walked out right there but, again, I hoped for the best. She did an excellent job on my cuticles, the only reason I tipped her fairly. But it's only been 2 days and my nails look terrible!! They're already chipped!!! Never coming here ever again! I really like going to the salon because the owner and her crew are super nice, friendly and they are very relatable because they genuinely care about their customers, they know everybody and they ask about everybody's family and how they are doing and sometimes I don't go there for a few months because I don't live in the area but when I go they remember me and they greet me in a super nice way of we missed you kind a greeting. I went here for the first time about 3 weeks ago. The salon was clean and there was no wait. They had a ton of no chip polishes for choose from. I was seated right away. The owner was doing someone's nails next to me, but she spent the whole time talking to someone else on FaceTime. It was often confusing if she was speaking to me, her client, or the man she was on Facetime with. I found that a little off putting, but the owner was nice and told me repeatedly that if my nails chip she will fix them free. The girl who did my nails (Sung Sung, I believe her name was), was very rough with the cuticle cutter and made me bleed twice. My nails turned out really nice, and the polish lasted weeks. It was also a good price - only $35 for no chip. They also offer a free manicure after 9 visits. The price and long lasting polish made up for the downfalls. I went to return yesterday morning to get my nails done and I brought my 2 daughters to get their nails painted. I showed up at 11 when they opened. Sung Sung refused to take us because she was the only person there, despite me repeatedly saying that we understood only 1 of us can go at a time and we did not mind taking turns. She kept insisting we come back later. It was clear she did not want our business (despite me tipping her very well last time), so we went to Star Nails down the street where there was only 1 employee working and she was happy to take us. read more

C & D Nail is AMAZING! If you're getting a full set of any kind, ask for Yvonne! This set was $60 and that's for almond shape, acrylic, 2 types of glitter, and also 2-3 butterflies on EACH nail! Most places I've been to charge per gem or per nail. Their prices are extremely reasonable and they do a great job. Aside from the excellent work the technicians do, the salon is SO clean and well-decorated. It looks like they have had a renovation recently. make sure you go to the correct address! It's 1718 E Roosevelt rd in Wheaton. It was correct on Apple Maps, but when I was inside it seemed like they had issues with people going to the previous address. I was happy with their pedicure service, nails still looks beautiful after 2 days. Manicure was an unpleasant experience. The procedure itself felt nasty. I had remenants of nail on my lap even when applying the polish. I would say their cleanliness of the procedure is zero plus scratchy towels. The most annoying thing was, they throw trash from all directions in to the basin under your feet since your pedicure is done and now it is manicure which is being done. Omg wtf!? I was surprised to see that. I felt like they were throwing trash at me. It was around the closing time and they were cleaning the place. I happened to be one of the last two customers. I love going to C & D nails. They've had a few hiccups but always fix it. The only problem I have as I can see others have too is that they cut you when doing your nails & toes. My skin was cut and it was bleeding pretty bad, she did give me a band aid but I think that's something all of the employees need to work on based on the reviews I'm seeing. Other than that it's a nice place & they make you feel comfortable. I love my nails & toes. I will also make sure that when I go back I will remind them not to go back to far. Their prices are fairly good ($50 for mani/pedi with design) and my "artist" was very nice, but she could barely speak English and she kind of messed up my design! I was heading to a party and I was wearing a black dress with a band around the waist that was red with black polka-dots. So I wanted her to do my nails red with black polka-dots. She made the dots too small on my toes, but it didn't look too bad so I didn't ask her to re-do it... I just asked her to make the dots bigger on my fingernails. She nodded her head and said "yeah, yeah, polka dots"... then grabbed the thing and went to town. Needless to say, she made them the same size. I figured getting mad would be pointless... she didn't understand me the first time around, why would the second be any different? I wasn't really happy with the design, naturally, but it looked so-so. I figured it wasn't worth the hassle. Then she brought me to sit down and let my nails dry. She put my shoes back on for me, but because she hadn't checked to see if my toenails were actually DRY, it completely messed up the polish on my toes. She saw this through the opening in the front of my shoes and tried to fix it. I figured she could see better than I could from my angle and so could make sure that the rest of the toenails weren't messed up (after all, just because she couldn't speak much English, it doesn't mean she's an idiot) so I thought she fixed it all, but when I got to the party and took my shoes off, on all but the very tips of my big toenails the polish had been scraped off. So I basically paid $50 to walk around the party all night looking like a drunk person had done my toenails and a swarm of ladybugs had attacked my fingers! read more

I hate leaving bad reviews but my experience here was the worst I've ever had. The place is small, looked pretty clean and right off of Roosevelt in a tiny strip mall. Every one was really nice and it was really cheap. I think my tech was new because she cut me multiple times, was super rough and took over an hour to do a fill. She nicked me with the dremmel and I started to bleed pretty bad and to stop the bleeding she dabbed it with an oil brush and then put the oil brush back in the oil...with my blood on it. The acrylic looked nice once she was done but then she put 5 coats of polish on it and that ruined it. It looks horrible and after only a week of having them done I'm going to get a fill already. And for some reason one of the girls thought it was ok to pop her pimples in the mirror at the front desk in front of everyone and then run people's credit cards. Disgusting. read more

Greatest experience at a nail salon. Very picky girl here and have tried others in the area, but these gals know how. Went to "fancier" nail salon across the street, have paid twice as much for less care and quality. Walk in, took me immediately, on a Saturday morning, promised me a Mani/pedi in 35 min and it took that long exactly, without feeling rushed or skimped out on the quality. I love C & D! I stumbled upon it about a 2 years ago while out shopping and was thrilled. The ladies who work there are very friendly and accomodating. For example, they will rush to get you a little side table to set next to your chair if you walk in with a drink. And don't expect to get rushed through here like you might at similar walk-in nail salons. For $25 (the rate as of Dec 2011) you can expect to get at least a 45 minute pedi, if not longer. My old nail salon had me out the door in 30 minutes every time. They also do an amazing job on kids. I have taken my 8 year old daughter there many times and she always gets treated like a princess. They will paint they most beautiful, dainty designs on their nails at no extra charge. (Actually, if you don't want a design on your child, say so, because they usually assume.) Although my daughter has only been there about 4 times they always act like they're so happy to see her, and I think they really are. My old salon was 2 minutes from my house, but now I drive about 15 to C & D, and will continue doing so. Like I said, I love it! read more

If they're busy, obviously you'll wait a little bit and your service will be more rushed. They are very friendly and most of them are perfectionists. I've been coming here for years but no more. I was immediately seated at the pedicure station, feet in the water. There was no mention that there was a wait. I thought the tech who seated me or another standing around would do my nails. After 25 min my old polish was removed. I waited another 30 before Ben who is an experienced pedicurist was free to start my nails. He was distracted while trying to instruct a new tech working with another client. Sweet girl, but I would have refused that subpar service. My quality pedicure was followed by a 15 min wait at the manicure station with no tech in sight so I said, I'm leaving. Color was quickly started by one tech who turned the job over to another young lady who the first said does nails much better than me. All three young ladies there were new. All the regulars including Nana, Kim and Kathy. All told I was there for 2 hours 15 min for a pedicure and a manicure that never happened! The owner was present. I have been coming here on and off for a few years. I have spent thousands of dollars here on acrylic nails and pedicures. I recently had my acrylic's removed and decided to grow out my real nails. I went in last Friday to get a no chip manicure. The girl I had (didn't get her name and she didn't speak great English) was on a personal phone call the entire time and was not listening to basically anything I said, or maybe she didn't understand me when I said " I do not want my nails cut short, it took a long time for them to get this length"... needless to say, she cut them all down to next to nothing and then asked, "is this ok?".... are you kidding me? The manicure was half a**ed and when I asked for another coat of polish because the gel polish was so light you could barely see it, she kind of gave me a hard time. I paid $30 for this and even still tipped her against my better judgement and I keep looking at my nails thinking why did I do this? I am very disappointed with this last visit and I will not come here again. read more
