I swung by to inquire about using their self wash station for my dogs. I wanted to check out their setup first. I must say I was pretty unimpressed. From what I could see by peering through the door to their washing area they only had one station. I may be wrong though cause it was pretty dark and dungeony looking in there. Not much to inspire confidence in a safe area to wash the mutts. The lady at the front of the store was nice, but the prices to use the station harshed my mellow. Overall the store looked like it was either run down, being redone, or just neglected. Take your pick. Nothing some reorganization, new tile and paint wouldn't be able to easily rectify if somebody cared to make the investment. read more

To quote the great Gordon Ramsey, "SHUT IT DOWN". This is by far the *worst* pets way to exist, and considering there are several crap pets way in the area, that should let you know how shitty it is. I have had to shop here on occasion and always left unsatisfied and more times than not, left with nothing. This store sucks, do not waste your time or money. Go somewhere else. Before I talk about how terrible this pets way is, let me first speak that I had to visit 4 petsway in ONE DAY to find a product. And I couldn't even purchase when I found it Bc the "system went down" and the staff said "there are other pets stores open". That being said, I shop at many of the pets way due to convenience. But at this point I am only wasting my time. The stores are run by teenage idiots. They are not trained in pet care, pet nutrition or even BASIC CUSTOMER SERVICE. If you are 17 and have a ride you can probably work here. Some of the issues I have had eoth pets way employees include but are not limited to 1. Not having any clue about pet care products. Basic pet care and brands they should know, working in this feild. I HATE when I ask about a certain product and the staff has never heard of it and then I find it on the shelves. 2. Staff tries to push you out the door when they are close to closing. 3. Staff is way rude about petting. Especially at Glenstone location . I stopped using the bathing station Becasue the employees felt it was their job to come pet my dogs in the tub. I say dogs Becasue I will come and bathe 8 of my 24 dogs. I'm sure you can look me up and see how much I have spent at pets ways, which I certainly regret having bad to do the past year or so. The staff are uneducated and should not be giving advice to anyone Becasue they don't know anything. They are not trained properly. They often don't have a competent person on staff as active manager. The staff is a joke. They don't even have basic training for customer service. They have no clue how to talk and treat customers. Please just Stock the shelves - my god , even before the pandemic several of the stores just have nothing stocked. Maybe it's the staff. I don't know. I've had to ask when a certain food might be available. And staff can't tell me. They can't even give any info other than "when it shows up on the truck". I have worked in pet retail before and I know that you order foods that show on certain truck deliveries and a certain delivery time can be exspected. The staff could not give me even a rough time frame when food would be in. A week? A month? They didn't know, didn't look, didn't ask, and didn't have any intentions of giving a shit. Shelves are particularly empty at this location and Nixa. Not only in quantity but in variety. Having one flavor bag of food- in a giant store like the sunshine store is insane. So The reason for the review is I can't believe that this was sold. The primal frozen raw. I've been buying this for years. These bags were so feeezer burnt that they came out in one solid chunk. The product obviously has no quality control at the store. The nuggets were dried out, to the point where they were like rubber. I am assuming the product had thawed and been frozen multiple times. When I worked retail we would agitate the bags to prevent the nuggests from possibly freezing together after deleivery. This is something I would suggest. Or practically anything to ensure the products you are selling full price are up to quality. Spending $40 for 6lbs of food and getting it as this quality is a joke. This store is huge and has literally no selection. It's sloppy inside and looks unfinished. You guys did a remodel, how long ago?? It still looks like a construction site. My friend lives near this location and I have given it far too many tries. Just shut this shit hole down. It's embarrassing. The fact that this level of disregard has been allowed at this location is a slap in the face to all pet owners. I will never shop at this location again. read more

Friendliest, most caring emplpoyees of all of the Pet Warehouses in town. And the thing is, I like all of the Pet Warehouses, so this is not a complaint about the other stores. This store is special because it feels like it is locally owned. It has a great vibe. They should never mess with that. You forget it's a big corporation when you're in the Sunshine store. It feels quaint, even tho it isn't a small spot. read more

We got our dogs groomed here and bought them a few chews and other odds and ends. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Our dogs were finished faster at this groomer than any other place we've ever been to. They looked wonderful and she listened to what we wanted unlike a lot of other places. I use to be a groomer and considering how much our barely over a year old dogs squirm, I was totally impressed with their hair cuts. We will definitely be back again! Oh and we were only in for a couple of days and she worked us in which we were very thankful considering our dogs really were over due for bath time. read more

I went into the store. I was greeted with "how can I help you?" I said I wanted to a choke chain. I was given the direction to them. Immediately after I pick out the chain, I was again asked "Is there anything else we can help you with". I said I want to look at "dog toys". After looking for less than a minute I picked up a chew toy. Immediately after AGAIN I was asked "Can I help you?" The second time made me feel uneasy but by the third time, I'm like this is rude. I would like to look around without being asked and hunted while I shop. I was in and out of this store in less than 5 minutes. I bought my items but I was about to put them down and walk out. The manager there I believe, older lady with long blondish hair was totally rude. Very unhelpful. They were out of my cat food in my size and she wouldn't help me get to smaller to equal. She was arrogant and gave NO customer service or even an apology I won't be back. Have got my cat food there for years. Went to All Pets and they had it cheaper and actually carried it out to my car for me. I get 40 pound bags so that was really nice. read more

we were in the store for a good 30 minutes and nobody even asked us if we needed any help with anything, they were rude, never spoke to us. we were looking at a quaker parrot, took it out of the cage, playing with it and, stood there for 30 minutes with the quaker parrot, no one said a thing to us, and a female employee came and took the parrot away said we weren't allowed to take the bird out, touch it or anything, at least until monday, and they have to b quarintined, until then, there was no sign on the cage or anything. they suck. for one the assistant manager on the petsway battlefield location will not let me buy even a 25 cent feeder fish. I can buy them when she is not around but other than that she says she can't sell to people under the age of 15 years and that is bullshit! Plus their fish care is extremely poor and they have several dead alpino frogs in their tank. They handle the birds too rough and i have seen only two live fish in one of their tanks filled with dead fish! their map turtle was in poor health with closed eyes meaning he had an infection or illness. their fish are nasty little creatures and their fish only last a few days even though they look completely healthy. If you are going to buy a fish do not use petsway because their fish always die. they don't socialize their animals and i usually see their parakeets wings are cut far too short to even get up on the perch so they can eat. I have seen mice attack eachother and kill other mice. your best bet for saving these poor animals is putting these people out of business. their methods for handling are extremely rough and they handle them so rough that most of the rodents in the store are a little agressive. I used to buy fish over their a lot and now one of the employees keeps saying she can't let anyone buy a stupid feeder fish under the age of 15! i would have to give them a score of 2 on one to ten for care of the animals. don't use them. read more
