I wanted to write this review before I went to bed to acknowledge a an associate that went above and beyond the average call. I went there 3.31.23 and bought two parakeets sadly one died today 4.5.23. I went back and the same associate named Cody that had spent so much time helping me the day before was working today. Thankful I was able to get another bird. Cody again was extremely knowledgeable and helpful again. He took the time to go into the back and hand pick another girl parakeet for me. The staff there is A+ noone pet shamed me for bringing back a deceased bird and everyone was smiling. I waited until I got home to be surprised and the bird he picked for me and OMG is she beautiful. My parents brought the family dog Watson here to get her nails trimmed on 10 February 2020. Unfortunately, the grooming technician cut them wrong and her toes have become swollen and infected (see pictures). So far, it's cost us $230.32 in veterinarian bills just to treat the damage done by PetSmart when they failed to correctly trim her nails. This, of course, is in addition to the $21.60 we paid for a service they performed so poorly that we had to see the veterinarian twice so far. My father called PetSmart on 18 February and spoke to the manager about the injury they caused. The manager said they would get back to us the following day and, on the 19th, they called back to claim that they "looked at the tape and the dog didn't move" so therefore they assumed that a dog nervously sitting still was fine and they don't care enough to do anything about the injuries they caused, which the vet says may include loss of the nails. Also, as part of the grooming package, they were also supposed to clean Watson's ears and we found out from the vet on the 20th that they hadn't been cleaned. If everything had gone fine, they why didn't they also clean her ears? PetSmart is PetCruel. If I could give less than one star, I would. read more

My girlfriend Regina and I have taken our dog Herbert to get groomed at this location on multiple occasions and the groomer has always been nice. Today we took him in and the woman said she could not give our dog a wash because he would not let her touch his paws. He doesn't like his nails trimmed but will let you touch his paws if you are nice to him. The way this woman grabbed at his paws was the reason why he wouldn't let her touch his paws. She then slammed both doors going into the back of the grooming area. My girlfriend and I calmly left the store. After talking with my girlfriend in the car I decided to go inside to talk to a manager. After having the associate at the front counter call the manager on duty to the front multiple times, no member of the management team came to the front. I waited 5 minutes and no one came so I just left. I have purchased all of our dog and cat food from this location over the past four years and spend $300+ each time. We will be taking our business elsewhere. read more

I took my bog afternoon around 2:30pm and the grooming said needs about 3 hrs. My husband wants to take the dog in the store when he way home about 5:30pm .but they said still needs about an hour. After he got a call at 6:30pm and said it needs to be taken the dog before 7pm while we are having dinner. I call them back right away and ask if I could come about 7:30pm, a staff who answered the phone said it's ok. So I arrive 7:10pm and the staff told me in face I'm late. They closed at 7pm. and I can't book the appointment through the app. Anymore. WTF??? read more

My 77 year old mother took her little dog to get groomed. When the appointment was made, she was told that all paper work was up to date, just bring her dog in. My mother arrives and is immediately asked for her dog's vaccine papers because they are not on file. The groomers would not give her to option to come home and get them nor would they take the dog after her appointment time because "we are so busy". My 77 year old mother gets flustered and upset, comes home to my 77 year old father who is angry at my mother's treatment. He calls the store, talks to the manager and is told that yes, the dog's paperwork is on file and up to date. The groomers are rude, unfeeling and inconsiderate of older customers. My parents and myself will not be going back there every again. read more

This store has been out of stock, week after week, for many sale items. An example is the Authority, large bag, chicken jerky strips. They seem to be able to restock the smaller bag with a higher $/oz price. But leaves the other shelf empty. This is only one example. They are also slow to restock non-sale items. It's too bad because we have 3 Havanese dogs that are spoiled. I guess we will need to start shopping elsewhere. They could also add a PetSmart Hotel. Nearest one is in Henrietta. I won't even go into their saloon capabilities. Needless to say we have already found an alternative. This store is just an all round disappointment. Oh, and I almost forgot; don't ever try to find the third box of nutridents during a "buy 2, get 1 free," nonexistence! read more

The staff at PetSmart are always friendly and if you shop you can find good deals. The grooming department is nice and what's great is they offer walk in service nail clipping and grinding which is super convenient. read more

Worst experience ever for grooming! STAY AWAY. Told several different things by 3 different reps about pricing and services. Things were never clear about what we were getting for services. Kept changing the price...trying to charge for adult dog. Our 5 month old puppy was scared and she has been to a private pet groomer before and had no problems. Told me 1 hour on phone, then 2 hours when we got there. After an hour, she had only been bathed and dried and put back in a kennel to wait her turn to be groomed. Ridiculous! We did not go through with all the services and immediately asked for our puppy back. Bad vibe, horrible communication and lack of time management skills. WILL NEVER RETURN. read more

While we had an absolutely wonderful experience for training, we took our 10 month old puppy to get groomed for the first time and he was very nervous. When I came in to pick him up they had me pay for it before they showed me my pup. When they came out he looked exactly the same. He was too nervous for the clippers and they could only use scissors. So I paid 60 dollars for them to use scissors. You think they would at least give me a break? Not make me pay full price? Let me know before I pay? Will never be returning for grooming. I brought my dog in 10 minutes prior to her grooming slot. I ended up standing there with my dog and 2 children for a total of 25 minutes (4 pm) while a gentleman "walked in" with his older lab to have the grooming staff REMOVE TICKS! Not only, to be groomed or even enter the salon, does your dog have to be up to date with vaccines, not have been vaccinated within 48 hours of grooming, and have been treated within the last 30 days for fleas and ticks, but they allowed this man to come in for a service not even allowed on the website! It also says on the website, in NY, NJ, and Canada, you cannot even buy Frontline (or a similar product) and have them apply it in the salon (which some states do). No problem with them, they didn't even encourage him to buy the stuff. They casually asked at pick up, "what do you use" (as they removed several and this wasn't his first visit for this) and he shrugged it off saying he didn't know, his wife did it. Are you kidding me!? I waited 25 minutes, late for my appointment now, so the grooming salon could remove ticks as the only service provided. I stood and listed to the whole thing as the did it out in the open on one of the tables, while other dogs were being groomed. My dog takes Bravecto, once every 3 month chewable flea/tick treatment we get at our vet, which she is up to date on, but to know they allowed this and they were ready to put the dog in the back, possibly giving ticks to other dogs in the kennels, awaiting pick up, until luckily the owner showed back up, as yes, I'm still awaiting my "appointment". I had everything in me not to leave. I drove 30 minutes and had both kids with me so I stuck it out, but I was appalled. I usually use the Henrietta location for grooming, but the Victor location had more availability last minute. Now I can see why. I would avoid this store at all cost. God knows what else they do if they allow this. I complained to the lady at the register who couldn't believe they did that and said that's not allowed. What amazed me even more is the lady who removed the ticks, same lady who groomed my dog, was talking about the dog as if it was a friends dog and someone mentioned, "didn't he have ticks removed not too long ago"? Yep! So it's been allowed more than once and I have no clue what they wrote it up as. Maybe "nail clipping"? He was given a receipt and I'd love to know what it said. Certainly didn't indicate "tick removal". She had me talk to the manager who said she would talk with the salon as that again, isn't allowed. Keep in mind, I asked the lady right there while she was doing it, how that is allowed (with 4 other co-workers listening and grooming dogs). She said, "oh yeah, we can do that, that's not a problem". I also said how I was told it would take 1.5-2 hours and I was called within less than an hour to pick up my dog. I would have been better at putting my dog in the bathtub than paying $62.00 for terrible service. Let me tell you, if I notice anything on my dog, you'll hear from me. I want to thank the lady at the register who didn't cash me out right away, so that I could talk with the manager, as she felt terrible and felt I needed a discount or some immediate action. Nothing was done and I paid full price. I am emailing corporate to make them aware of the extra "fraudulent" services you provide, thereby potentially putting other dogs at risk. I went here to talk to someone about my puppies separation anxiety because it wasn't getting any better and I had tried just about everything. The woman that helped us would not let me finish a sentence. She would constantly interrupt me. So finally when I got all of my information to her she gave me her suggestions on what do to. Told me to try a pheromone defuser thing. Only to find out after listening to her repeat her self about the product for 10 minutes they didn't have any in stock. So I asked her about another product they had and she just picked up the box and read it to me. I could have done that. She asked us if he was in a crate and I told her yes that's the only time he ha issues. She said good because if you let your puppy sleep in bed with you it will create dominance issues when he's older but at the very end of the conversation she told me if this stuff fails let him sleep with you in bed! Probably won't be shopping here again it's worth the extra gas to drive to pet supplies plus in fairport. read more
