We've been working with Nate for the past several weeks in private sessions. Other trainers I've worked with in the past would focus on compliance and correcting behaviors. Nate is more focused on the dog's stress level. Once she is relaxed, she chooses the more desirable behaviors. When she's chill, she does not jump or mouth as much. She even leaves slack on the leash. We're still in training, but I see her comfort and confidence increasing every session. Nate is so in tune with her and how she feels, it's amazing to watch. I appreciate all of his YouTube videos, especially if I'm trying to teach someone else how to work with her, or if I forget what he says during a session. They are great tools for practice. I also really like that we meet up at different places to build the dog's comfort. We started at my house, then went to the dog daycare she just started attending, then we met at the dog park, then a park near the pet store (and walked the busy, strip mall parking lot). I've watched him with other families and their dogs, and he has a lot of patience with dogs and a soft demeanor, but knows how to make them listen to his commands. He has kept me updated with pictures and videos and response very promptly to whenever I reach out. It has put me at ease, knowing and watching the dogs progress in their training. He has them playing with other dogs and I relieved me, knowing that they were in good hands and having good playful training with him and the other dogs. I am part of a rescue company and he's the only one that they go to as well because of his extensive training. The facility is large with many different rooms for the dogs. I highly recommend him for anyone that wants to have obedience training for their dog and for any other concerning issues. He's very knowledgeable when it comes to handling and just knowing what they need. Of course part of training is not just for the dog, but for the owner and how the techniques must be used. With anything it takes two.

Google sent them a plaque with my review on it about 18 months ago that's how much I loved it..... Since leaving Tails of Success (April 2, 2019) Fletcher has gained 8 pounds, no drooling or "snarky" behavior....Seriously he's a husky, being snarky is what they do, but moving on... My vet mentioned that she has seen multiple dogs that have developed "behavioral problems" or "anxiety" at Tails of Success. They have more than doubled the dogs there daily and the building did not change in size. It's too many dogs in a small space, dogs do not like their space invaded. I have it IN WRITING from my Vet she did not recommend Tails for this reason. Additionally due to some digging, I also know for a FACT they hired the significant other and daughter of a current employee-neither of which have any experience with dogs! Subsequently those two were let go for stealing!! (Who steals and what exactly do you steal from a dog daycare?) I wish it had ended better but Tails of Success was so horrible to my dogs at the end. They got too big for their Britches so to speak. The owner was walking around with $1500 Italian boots on (I'm from NYC, I know these things) THEN they had the nerve to tell me that I had "too many complaints" about their facility and told me my dogs weren't welcome there anymore. All bc they put fletcher in a pen by himself ALL DAY and he was drooling excessively (would come home soaked like he had been bathed). A worker told me he spilled his water bowl at first, then they called a few days later bc he was drooling a lot and they wanted to make sure his vet knew. The day before we terminated our customer contact I saw a girl SCREAM at him at the door on the way out and Missy ("communication agent") tried to convince me I didn't see what I thought I did and that Fletcher "has had good interactions" with that staff member Anyone that brings their dogs to Tails be cautious- there is a reason they are the ONLY dog daycare that doesn't have webcams to watch your dogs off site. Also after you leave make sure they don't automatically deduct monthly dues from your account bc they did that to me, by mistake I'm sure (insert eye roll).

He was so reactive that I was constantly scanning ahead for other dogs and trying to avoid situations before he noticed them. I never felt like I could relax or actually enjoy taking him anywhere. On top of that he would be over the top with my nieces and nephews. There were a few times where I heavily considered rehoming him because he would jump on them, grab their hair like a chew toy, and just be too much which could have accidentally turned ugly. He had been to other trainers before, but the positive only training was not working and clearly wasn't a good fit for my boy. Now he not only listens better, but I finally understand how to handle him. We can pass things that would have completely set him off before, and I know what to do when he starts getting worked up. He's able to completely relax around the kids and any company that comes over. And he absolutely loves his muzzle and ecollar! Seeing him become calmer and more confident has been incredible. I also really appreciated that we were given time about using a muzzle and ecollar. At first I was a little apprehensive about them, but Olivia took the time to really explain how they work and made sure I was comfortable with it before using them. They were treated like exactly what they are: tools that allow us to safely give him more experiences while we continue working on his behavior. He now gets to live like every other dog and enjoy normal dog things like walks, parks, pup cups, and more while keeping everyone safe and happy. We still have things to work on, but it genuinely feels like I have a different dog and, more importantly, I feel confident handling him now. I'm so grateful for how much progress we've made and all of the work Olivia has put into us! I cannot recommend her enough!!

After the original owners of Puppy Love chose to retire and sell their business, everything…read morechanged, and none of it for the better. A horrific experience with the new ownership that required a visit to my veterinarian after a week-long stay traumatized my little lady, and I chose to never use them again. That is until the (2nd) owner chose to sell the business to Graham and Kathleen - the newest owners of Puppy Love Playcare. Similar to the original owners, Kathleen and Graham also live on site. After learning of the new change in ownership, I chose to give them a call and spoke with Kathleen for quite some time. Kathleen was forthcoming and answered all of my questions. I then decided to give Puppy Love another try and am so thankful that I took the chance! My little old lady was terrified when we first pulled up and she realized where she would be staying. I'm sure she was remembering the trauma she had experienced with the previous owner. But after picking her up from that week-long stay, I couldn't have been happier. It took Kathleen and Graham a few days to get her to let down her guard and relax, but she finally did so. And she showed no signs of stress when it was time for her to come home. After such a positive experience, I chose to use Puppy Love again for a two night stay, with the same results. This time my little lady acclimated even faster and enjoyed herself even more. If you had previously used Puppy Love prior to Kathleen and Graham's becoming the new owners and are afraid to give it another try, either because of a bad experience or reading some of the horrible reviews posted during that period of time, I would suggest putting those fears aside and giving the new owners a try. Going forward this will be the only daycare or long-term boarding facility I will use for my little old lady.
