This review goes specially for John the trainer. I sign up my puppy for training. As we waited for trainer to come, John looks at my dog and my dog starts barking. My husband and I came into the store to buy a dog bed and the one we took off the shelf had a bed bug on it. We Googled it to make sure that we were not mistaken, and it was definitely a bed bug. We let one of the staff on the floor know and they said they'd take the bed outside and apologized, but we left immediately and bought the bed elsewhere. Other than that the store is pretty well stocked. But that definitely turned us off from buying anything there again. read more

This review specifically focuses on the training classes provided by Petsmart with John. So I went into Petsmart and saw they have private classes and I wanted to sign my 4 year old German Shepherd for private lessons to deal with his dog aggression and separation anxiety. I paid for the one hour private lesson for $89. We took Odin(my dog) in and my roommate came with me to record (he gave the okay for us to do that). During the lesson he tried to teach my dog sit, stay, lay down...I kept telling him that these are not things my dog needs to learn. I told him Odin learned all his tricks and not to jump or chew or pee in the house within his first few weeks with me as a puppy. I felt he kind of ignored me and kept going on about it. He also kept bringing up his dog from home that never listens and jumps all over him....not really a good thing to hear from a guy I am trying to get help from with my dog. At the end of the lesson I asked again about dog aggression and he told me to come back the next week and he would have a STUFFED DOG to test out his aggression with. I thought that was rather silly. My dog can tell between a stuffed animal and the real thing. So a week later my roommate and I show up and record again. Only there wasn't a stuffed dog, there was a rather young and hyper husky in there that was jumping all over the place and yapping like crazy. Odin freaked out and started barking and pulling and shaking really bad. I was NOT expecting that and I actually hurt myself trying to pull my dog away. John then proceeded to teach "sit for greeting" and making sure we teach our dogs to let vet and other people touch their paws and mouths for check ups. Again I told him Odin did not need that, he already knows all that. That did not stop him, he still went on with the training with the other lady in there (private lesson I think not). He let the husky jump up and lick him in the face and be hyper without correcting her, but if Odin let out a bark he would say "Odin you know better!"...it was getting frustrating but I listened. He then asked us to walk around the store to try "loose leash walking" I thought he would be walking WITH US to see how we do and correct us when needed. Nope. He was no where to be seen but when I found him again he said we did a good job and ignored Odin while he was barking and trying to lunge while talking to another customer. Again I was getting agitated. At the end of the lesson he told us that the husky would be in training with us and to come back again the next week where we will be working on "down, drop it, leave it". I told him before we left that Odin, again, knows all this and I just wanted to work with his aggression. He told me to come in anyway even if Odin knew it just to sit and watch...that is a waste of my time completely. You are helping another woman and not OUR needs. So we left and Odin was actually WORSE when we took him out, lunging at everything that moved. I called Petsmart to talk to the trainer and see why but he wasn't there so I left a message with Lyn. Well a week later and he never called me back. It got so bad that we hired someone else for much cheaper to do an in home private lesson and Odin is immediately better. I marched right into Petsmart and demanded a refund. Their training was a joke and I am seriously disappointed and upset that I was ignored every time I tried to tell him that Odin already knew what he was teaching. I would never recommend their training class to anyone. read more

this review is for our last grooming experience. My dog is a norfolk terrier mix we cut him short and the first time they did a good job. THis time i picked him up and his hair was a HOT MESS. It just looks like the person didn't know what they were doing. On top of that when we got home he was just acting off. He has been very nippy and jumpy. When my kids try to pet him he growls and looks like he wants to bite. Normally the kids play with him alot and he is fine. Since this grooming he seems to be anxious and very nervous of sudden movements. I'm afraid they were not kind to him. THis is not his normal personality he barely slept that night. Even my husband who is usually oblivious noticed that he was not being himself and told me to spend a little extra next time to get him to a quality groomer. read more

I always bring my Shiba Inu into the grooming salon for nail trims and occasional baths. They always do a good job- his nails and hair look good and they are very nice to him (considering he can be a little finicky with his nail trims). The store is nice and spacious, and I can usually find whatever I am looking for. Overall, a great pet store! read more

I brought in our lab to have her nails trimmed recently; she's a bit squirmy, but she's always been treated well by the young lady that typically takes her. Most recently I had the pleasure of working with Dani, who not only did a great job on our dog's nails, but she actually sat on the floor with our girl and give her extra love (and a cute bandanna!) before we picked her up. I will say that there is one occasion that continues to leave a bad taste in my mouth. There was a small terrier getting a hair cut as we were dropping off our pup a few months ago. Poor thing was whimpering and obviously stressed, but it was not necessarily a red flag at the time, as I'm sure most dogs are a little nervous. Things quickly escalated, though, as the dog's frantic whimpering became terrified yelping; the groomer forced a towel over the dog's head, grabbed its legs, slammed it onto the groomer's table, and held it down as it continued to cry. At this point another woman (I believe either a co-worker or manager) screamed across the room, "Jesus, Wendy!" to try and get her to stop. "Wendy" didn't say anything, snatched up the dog and brought it to the back, out of sight. Since this incident, we make sure only one of few of the girls we recognize there work with our dog, and we stay where we can see her. It's a shame, because some of the groomers are absolutely wonderful and have always been so gentle with our dog. read more

Groomers kept the dog for 4 hours. I can tell the hair over the eyes was trimmed but I'm not sure anything else was done. Won't be back.

We got a new puppy almost 2 months ago so I have been visiting 1-2 times per week...so many times that I'm getting to know the associates. Jen is especially helpful ! Horrible. Took my dog in for grooming and they gave him a cut requiring stitches. I was not notified when dog was picked up. Mistakes, accidents happen, possible over sight and so I was trying to be understanding. Not only did I NOT get an apology but was questioned about a preexisting scar from a hernia repair my dog had that could have attributed to the cut. I was asked by the manager to show him the cut and made me practically defend the wound that they caused on my dog. I not only felt wronged but was completely flabbergasted by the unprofessionalism shown by the store manager, Scott. I will not only never step a foot in this store I will tell all my friends never to go here. I now have a dog that needs to be medicated for the next five days and has to wear an Elizabethan collar for the next ten days. All we wanted was a simple grooming service. read more

Coco my dog is a Westie, have been taking him there for a few years, no complaints but something happened today and they basically destroyed him, they cut his hair completely, even the skirt, and the face, and on top they carved a hole on the tale completely nonsense. Looks like an overgrown rat. They told my wife the regular groomer did it, but if that is true something must be really wrong with her. Worst part is they do this right at the beginning of the winter. read more

Just heard my favorite dog groomer is back after taking time off to have her baby. Amber really cares about my dog Jake, he is not the easiest to handle while getting his nails done but she seems to have a way with dogs. My friends have been taking their dogs to her as well and have been extremely happy with their dogs cuts. read more

Very old, smelly (in places) store in need of some major updating! I no longer come here after going several times and finding basic items (cat litter for instance) out of stock! And now there is a much brighter, cleaner Pet Smart in Reston that I'd rate first class compared to this one. The Sterling location does continue to do a nice outreach to rescue groups but I think they ought to put a much higher priority into sprucing up the whole place! read more

Our puppy joined the family in late-May of this year (2010), and in the six months since then we have spent quite a bit of time at this PetSmart. The stock of regular supplies is more than adequate here - I especially think the toy aisle is amazing. But for us, the really excellent part of this store is the dog training. Our girl started Puppy Kindergarten with John in June and Graduated in August. John clearly loves the dogs and really gave us, new dog parents, a forum to ask a million questions and made us feel really comfortable that we were going to get through the puppy crazies. It's funny, but a lot of the stuff we did in that class we weren't sure that our dog actually "got" until we recently started the Intermediate level at the store. Now, we are in Intermediate level training with Doug. Not only has our dog really solidified the stuff we learned in Kindergarten, but Doug has been fantastic in giving us strategies to improve the dogs' attention span in the face of increasing distance, duration, and distraction. And he will adapt class sessions depending on the needs of the dogs and the concerns of the owners. I can honestly say that, not only has this been great for my dog, I genuinely enjoy myself in the classes. And the group classes are VERY affordable for people who are willing to put in the time and effort outside of class to reinforce learning with their dogs. I also had my dog groomed here once. She's a short coated dog, so it entailed a bath, nails clipped and filed, ear cleaning, and tooth cleaning. All of the young ladies who were in the salon at the time were pleasant and professional. My baby was returned to me smelling great all over and, most important, really happy. She clearly had fun when she was there. read more

They don't have a contract with the food company, I actually wasn't expecting them to carry it, but the customer service was excellent. I was asked if I needed help right away and then given suggestions on other stores to look in. read more

I don't usually come here to purchase dog food, because they don't carry the brand my dog eats. However, we had a superb experience in purchasing a bearded dragon for my son from this location. The staff spent a lot of time answering questions during three separate visits and allowed us to handle the reptiles freely. Two staff who actually own these as pets helped ease my fear of these creatures. We've owned our beardie for less than a week and as much as I rebelled against buying him, I do love him too. read more

I picked up my little 6 pound Shih Tzu after her grooming appt. In the car, she curled up on the seat vs. being happy to see me. I could tell something was wrong. When we got home, she couldn't walk. From her waist down, she seem paralyzed. Her head was hard cocked to the left. Her body seem bent in half sideways to the left. Her left ear was bent weird upward compared to her right. Her tail, instead of curling up on her back was curling horizontally to the left side. Very unnatural looking. I immediately took her to the emergency hospital. $1000 later, they explained she was clearly damaged. It would cost $2500 to do an MRI to confirm she may have been dropped. I couldn't afford it. They said she could have been dropped, they could have also gone in her ears and caused damage to her balance. WIthout the tests they couldn't be sure. They gave me meds and said to give her some time to see how she does. Even with the MRI there would be little they could do. Now a week later, she can walk, but her entire body tilts to the left. Her ear is still cocked and her personality has changed. SHe has no patience and she tries to attack you if you touch her hips. She doesn't want to be touched at all. So, I keep hoping she will continue to improve. I spoke with a regional manager at PetSmart who said to send the vet report. I never heard back from them. Now I will have to sue them. Gees. I then went online and research PetSmart problems and there are many people with similar stories. Just Google it and you'll see. THis sweet little girl has never had a sick day in her life. I bred her and was there when she was born. Her mother was a Champion Shih Tzu. read more

This PetSmart does a great job! The store is huge, and we always end up shopping while our dogs are there for grooming. We drive in all the way from Leesburg because our favorite groomer, Diana M., switched to this store and we followed her. She always does a great job, and that is difficult to do with our somewhat high-strung Yorkies. They never complain about them, even though we know what a task it is to groom them. And we like our Yorkies cut short including paws, ears, tail, etc. Quite a task! We were just there, and the grooming was excellent, and they even had their dog food on sale so we stocked up there, too. All in all, a great experience for grooming and shopping. read more

I will never take my dog here again. The first time we took her she was just a puppy and when we came to pick her up she was crying and after they opened the gate to let her out she peed on the floor. We took her there 2 more times each time she cried and jumped on us because she didn't want to go. She would shake and we thought it was just because she doesn't like strangers. We took her to the pet smart in Reston and she was perfectly happy when she got out. The sterling location definitely mistreats animals and I've heard a couple of other dog owners in out neighborhood say they feel the same way! read more

I had a grooming appointment on Thursday, December 22 at 3:00pm, which I had booked in advance. I arrived early (2:40pm) with Kane, my cat who had been a previous customer, and was told it may take a few hours to complete the FURminator package I'd requested. Although not ideal, I appreciated being told it would take a little longer because of the holiday rush. However, I was not expecting a call nearly 3 hours later to tell me that my normally friendly cat, who has never had a problem with a groomer, veterinarian or any human being, had just bitten the groomer and that I needed to pick her up. I was told that while she did fine with nail trimming and ear cleaning, she became very upset when the groomer began to wash her (I was given the excuse later that the room is full of echoes and was probably just too loud for my cat). Since my cat was covered in soap suds when the bite occurred, I was told that the groomer put protective gloves on and then rinsed her off, but that she was left wet and wrapped in a towel. I was told that a claim was filed with Animal Control, as is protocol, but I have not received any follow up communication as of the writing of this complaint. I immediately drove to pick up my wet cat and was told that I could keep the towel. My bill was adjusted to $16 (and I gave a $5 tip because it was the holidays) for the nail trim and ear cleaning. However, I grew furious as I started to put the timeline together in my head. I received the groomer's call nearly THREE HOURS after I'd dropped Kane off for her appointment, meaning that my cat had been crated and left in a strange place, with multiple strange animals, for at least a couple of hours before they got to her. In addition, Kane must have been aggressively mishandled to bite the groomer, as this is very out of character for her. Furthermore, had the full FURminator package been done as requested, it likely would have been nearly 7pm before my cat was ready - this is FOUR HOURS after my appointment time began. When I dropped Kane off for grooming, the female groomer berated an employee about how tightly he was wrapping up the grooming tool cords. While I understand the problem with the technique, her unprofessional behavior in front of a customer should have alerted me to the fact that she was clearly too busy, and already in a bad/stressed mood, to properly treat and groom my cat. I remain furious and upset at the treatment my cat received at PetSmart. I will definitely not return to any PetSmart's grooming facility in the future. While I can certainly understand and appreciate a holiday rush, the delay and bad treatment my cat likely received brought on uncharacteristic behavior (from which my cat has just now calmed down and returned to normal - 4 days later) was not warranted and is certainly not humane. When it comes to the treatment of animals, there is no excuse for aggression, poor customer service or bad attitude. read more

I brought my puppy here for the training classes. It was a 6 week course. The first three weeks were fine. The fourth week, however, wasn't so fine. Cheryl, the instructor, stepped between me and my dog, grabbed him by his harness and threw him on the floor three times. He was scared, this was the first time I've ever seen him cower with his tail between his legs. He got behind me to stay away from the instructor. Abuse is no way to train a puppy. I noticed on the first day that the instructor's dog constantly has his tail between his legs and seems to be cowering. If this is how she treats dogs it's no wonder her dog seems terrified of her. I intend to call the store manager and register a complaint. I, also, plan to see if I can get a refund for the remaining two weeks of the class since I have no intention of taking my dog back to be abused or terrorized. read more

My review is in regards to their pet training. I have brought my other two dogs to Petsmart in the past for training and liked the results and trainers. However, the woman who does the training at this Petsmart is terrible. Before the class even started she yelled at a customer and her kids for repeating a command. This was the first class and it hadnt even started yet. They were trying to get their rambunctious 5 month old boxer puppy to sit (it had no idea what they were trying to tell it) and out of no where she started going off on them about how you NEVER, EVER, REPEAT A COMMAND!!! Then she told them its like when your mom nags you to clean your room over and over, what do you do? You blow her off, thats what your puppy is doing to you. Ummm EXCUSE ME?! No my kids better not blow me off when I tell them to clean their room! She also made it very clear there would be no play or socializing time between the puppies. This is absurd, there are four excited puppies who want to sniff and play with the other puppies and are more distracted because they cant. Let them sniff, get some energy out and they would probably pay more attention to what you are trying to teach them. Two girls showed up late (they were young teens/tweenager age) their mother didnt want to participate and just dropped them off. It wasnt their fault, its not like they could drive, but she made a big deal about being 15 minutes early to class and thoroughly embarrassed them. She harped on them being late for about 5 minutes of the class which was totally unnecessary, especially since they have little to no control over when their mom gets them there. The trainer had no control over the class and tried to just shout over the ruckus of the puppies trying to get to each other. She demanded that I put my dog in a "time out" to distract him so he would pay attention which was completely pointless as he could hear the other dogs behind him and see everyone walking around the store. She got frustrated with the two young girls because their puppy wouldnt sit still and excited and made them put him into a "timeout" which caused the dog to jump, squirm and get even more excited trying to get out of the corner. Her definition of a "timeout" is to put the dog facing into a corner so that it cant see anything but the wall. Perhaps this might work in a different environment however it is completely counterproductive when they can still see the other dogs out of their peripherals and hear them. From what I experienced putting my dog in timeout and seeing those girls put their dogs in time out all it did was make them more anxious and excitable. As I previously stated I have brought my other two dogs a pitbull/boxer X and an English mastiff and have never encountered a trainer who used a "timeout" with puppies. I brought my mastiff there where he was about 3-4 months and my pitt/boxer mix around a year and I never saw either of the previous trainers use her tactics and training methods. She was abrasive, condescending and unprofessional and I will never take another class with her again. I had a friend with me visiting from out of town whose wife was a Petsmart trainer in Virginia Beach and he was livid during her session. He also concurred that her class and methods of instruction were unprofessional and she came across as inept and had no idea how to teach this course. She spent the first part of the class yelling at the lady with the boxer puppy and then the girls who came in late which caused us to start late and run 20 min over the allotted time. I called Petsmart to switch to a different instructor but they stated she was the only one at the store. I asked if I could just transfer to a different store by my house and they said I could come in and get a refund or store credit. I was informed I was unable to get a refund over the phone (even though thats how I paid for it in the first place) so now I have to go back to the store to fill out a refund form to get my money back (I wish I could get the hour of my life I spent last Saturday back). Although I have had good experiences at the Petsmart in Yuma, AZ with my other two dogs I think I will just cut my losses and train my puppy at home, at least I wont have to worry about getting yelled at or my dog getting put in timeout. read more

Worse grooming experience ever. The staff was unprofessional and treated our 95lb GSD like a monster. They yelled at him for whimpering. Any professional would know that is a trait of GS breed. He then yelped and cried louder than I ever have heard him. I stopped the nail trimming instantly and they told me they were stopping because he was aggressive and showing teeth. The staff was deplorable. Unprofessional. Not just one but both of the women there were despicable. read more

Wow. I have been bringing my dog here for 6 years and was always happy with the service and the way that the staff treated him. He is super sweet but trembles in situations/environments that he isn't super familiar with and so thought this time I would see if an over the counter herbal remedy for dogs would help calm him (it didnt). So when asked if he was on any calming treatments and I told him he was, they said they couldn't groom him. While I understand the rationale (even if it seems a little extreme in this case) the woman managing the salon couldn't have been more arrogant or condescending; when I asked why this was a problem and why wasn't this mentioned when I made the appt (which I had to wait over a week for) she was completely unsympathetic. While it is frustrating to wait for an appt for a week and then drive over 30 mins to find he couldn't be seen, my bigger issue was with how the info was communicated and the complete lack of empathy or helpfullness on the part of this mngr. Would it have been so hard to say sorry about the situation and they understood it must be frustrating but let's find the next available slot and rebook? That is all it would have taken to keep me as a customer of BOTH the salon and store. While I was there this same manager was also telling a gentleman why they wouldn't take his dog again (seems like the dog got nervous when having toenails clipped. Don't think that is all that unusual and maybe this was just a coincidence but find it odd that she basically refused service to 2 dogs within minutes). Anyway I then spoke to the general-store manager who was very nice and understood I just didn't like how I was treated more so then the policy. unfortunately though they still lost a customer who easily spent 150 a month there and I lost a place that I somewhat trusted to groom my dog. I boycotted Petsmart and all affiliations after a horrible Banfield experience years ago. However, recently I have been searching for a leopard gecko that my nine-year-old has wanted for many years. On a whim and against my better judgment I called the store. I spoke with Ryan and he was so sweet and helpful. He took the time to answer my many questions and made my experience wonderful. At the end of the day, we adopted a tailless gecko. That night, my daughter said "Mom, I just know that I made the right choice. He needed me and I need him" We are very thankful that Ryan loves animals and helped us adopt one that needed a home before buying one. Petsmart should be proud to have an employee like him and should strive to hire others the same. After the unspeakable experience with Banfield hospital and their lack of care sympathy empathy or kindness, it was nice to see somebody like Ryan who actually cared about the animals and not just about money. He may have actually changed my mind to walk in that store again for purchases. Because after all, ..... it's all about the animals, right?!?!? Thank you Ryan for the newest member of our family. Petsmart is discriminating against my dog because of his disability. My poodle has a heart condition but he is on medicine, which he takes everyday and he is functioning as a normal dog. They refused to groom him because of his disability. They have groomed him for many years now and recently about 5 months ago even when he had to same condition now that its the following time, they won't groom him? This is outrageous! read more

Average PetSmart but the grooming here is a joke. I've always taken my dog to PetSmart (different location) for a nail grind. Easy task, right? Unfortunately they only do nails as a walk-in. They said they'd call over the PA system, which is totally fine, so i walked around the store. Waited 30 minutes without being called and went to check on an update. Couldn't even get through because an employee was rolling around on the floor with a dog and others were waiting in line. Watched as another employee sat down in the grooming area eating (first of all, it's all glass windows, take your break in the back; second, that's just disgusting...) while another chatted with her. I understand busy. I don't understand lack of professionalism. Waited 45 min and left, it's an hour now and they never called (check in with your phone number). 100% easier grooming your pet on your own. Note to management: allow appointments for everything if you can't handle walk-ins, or just discontinue these services. read more

Shopped here a few times because its right down the street. Normal pet supplies are what you would expect but the staff are ignorant (though they act like they know everything) and treat you pretty rude. We purchased a feather duster (marine animal) there and had to take it back due to their water quality being so poor. We tested their water upon arriving home (we have a professional test kit that is very accurate as opposed to petcos method of quick dip strips) and the quality was scary. They dont guarantee salt water animals but they did take the feather duster back after we told them the test results which was a plus. Good place to buy supplies but stay away if you are looking for a live animal or any kind of fish. read more

My toy poodle, sweet and friendly, is terrified of this place. Granted, he doesn't like grooming and baths in general, but every time we go to Pet Smart, he is scared and is unusually aggressive. Last time we went, in March 2016, I had to get him back, not even half way through the grooming, because he was acting out. Later that day, when I was finishing his grooming myself, I found 3 fresh cuts. I personally never noticed harsh treatment with other dogs, but something is going on in that place that makes my dog extremely upset. Oh, and 2 years ago, he got something there that made him itch like crazy, loose his fur and be subject to a two-month trial and error medicine treatments. read more

John the groomer did a fantastic job with our two dogs. It was their first visit to a groomer, but not their first visit to this Petsmart. The pups were cheerful and happy when I picked them up (of course it could've been because I had their favorite bones with me). And the dogs love to go into this Petsmart any day, any time. Very nice people working here, and the environment is clean and organized. Kudos to the store management, staff, and the volunteers who hold adoption events at this store. The only thing that would make it better is if they added doggie day care to this location (hint, hint :-). read more

I was in Pet Smart today buying food my dog. The staff in the store is very friendly and helpful. However,while in line to pay I watched a groomer grab a little white dog by his ear, pull him forward and mistreat him right in front of my 8 year old daughter, myself and every other customer in the store. I said something to the cashier and she replied oh yes is very rough. I then asked to speak to a manager, I informed her of what I witnessed and let her know if I was the owner of that dog I would have been very upset with what occured. I also informed her that I would never bring my dog there again to be groomed. Think long and hard if you want to bring your dog to be groomed at Pet Smart in Sterling. read more

Grooming services are top notch. Brought in my Sheltie and Diana (who used to work at the Leesburg store) did an amazing job. The top dog plus bundle made him look and feel terrific. Can't wait until St. Patricks day to have a big 4-leaf clover design from the pet expressions package airbrushed into his fur....which he will hate me for but it will look incredible! read more

I will start with the positive that the groomer who did my dog did a really good job with my pups nails however that is the only positive thing I have to say. I made my appt for 10am and when I dropped her off they told me 3 to 4 hours. It was rounding on 5 hours when I finally called to see if my dog was ready to which they stated she was just finishing up, mind you the time was 2:40pm when I called. I went to pick up my dog and they give you this "pawgress" card to which they had nothing positive to say about my dog and all they said was how restless my dog was and how the groomer struggled greatly. I then asked if that is why it took so long to groom her to which they then stated her appt was 11:30. So I dropped my dog off at 10 to not be groomed until 11:30 and I had no idea that was her real appt time. At that point I just wanted my dog back and leave but then they said I had to go out and pay first before they could give me my dog. I lost it at that point and walked out and waited in a long line to pay before I could then get my dog. I finally received my dog back and we ran out quickly not wanting to see any of them again. None of the employees seemed to care and all they kept talking about was how bad my dog did and that I needed to go out and pay and arguing that her appt was at 11:30 and that it had always been that way and I must have wrote the time down wrong even though the day prior they called to confirm her appt which they confirmed for the wrong dog which might be why it was all screwed up to start. When I brought my dog home I looked at her better to realize her legs were cut so unever and they did not touch her ears. I have a cocker spaniel/bischon mix so her ears are super long now with semi shaved legs. She looks like an ameteur cut her hair and for the price they charged it is far from worth it. I went in for a nail clipping for my puppy. They had 5 employees in there and the lady that cut my dogs nails was just tossing him around while the man STOOD there, with his hands in his pockets, with a smirk on his face, staring at my pup. He came to me and asked me what I was waiting for and I told him that was my dog and that he should help her to calm him down. He said in a smart aleck way, "No.. she has it under control." and he walked away without helping with his hands still in his pockets (doing absolutely nothing else), and smirking. Then the lady proceeds to bring me my puppy with a rude attitude as if she is so busy and there was only 1 other customer there. My pup had 3 nails that were cut too short and as I examined them the lady said, "Well they aren't bleeding now, are they?". Wow, I am shocked, I couldn't believe how bad the work ethic, skills and customer service of these people were. Please do not take your animal to the groomers here. If you do, make sure you stay there and pay attention to how they treat you and your animal like crap. These people clearly don't care about the customers, the animals or the business. read more

run, don't walk from this place! tried to get some info from the "banfield hosp" area at the sterling location.. a petsmart in Chantilly said they would forward the info, and I could get a duplicate rabies tag. at this location. I have proof of the paperwork. the woman who waited on me started off from the get go with a tremendous attitude, downright nasty, and she didn't even know what I wanted. I wish I had her name. I actually see her point, why it is not transferrable, but to treat a customer like that is beyond all understanding, especially since the clerk in Chantilly said it could be done. come on, people get your acts together. the woman in Chantilly, by the way was extremely helpful, and very pleasant.funny, in reading reviews for this place, there are some pretty negative ones for this store in sterling. don't know why I gave it one star.......but I don't think the computer will accept zero stars. read more
