    Getting this Dood groomed!
    Jemily H.

Great prices for complete grooms honestly- I've been quoted much more at smaller lesser known places. This spot is pretty luxurious, doggy day care, boarding, Grooming, swim training, everything your furry pet needs. I brought my puppy here while they were running their holiday 15% off deal. They are very strict with vaccinations so make sure they are up to date before they cancel your apt! My lil boy Figaro got a great groom, pretty close to the skin because he had some matting. I was a little disappointed because the second they brought him out he peed himself in the lobby as if he wasn't let out all day. I made a comment and at the moment wasn't adjusted it given reason. I noticed some scratches and what looked like razor burn on his lil private parts. I wasn't too happy with this female groomer. Finley went last week. He got a "crushed velvet" cut no skin showing but short and fluffed. He smelled and looked great! He was happy! He prefers male groomers and Ronaldo did a FANTASTIC Job. I was very happy with his groom and he was not stressed out. I mentioned my prior apt and they took off 10%. Bottom line, just don't leave your dog here longer than necessary. I don't think they pay too much attention to the groomed dogs when they are done. Overall, the dogs got a great haircut and I will be able to maintain the style and brush them to keep their coats healthy. Unsure if I would come back.

Not great for boarding dogs. I paid 120 a night for boarding. It came with a camera. I asked for four walks a day and some playtime. The first day seemed fine on camera. She slept, had an accident (accidents happen) and I saw employees in and out. The second day? All I saw was droppings and urine in her cage. No one came to take her out--they just cleaned it up at the end of the day and let it be. She's NEVER gone in her crate at home, and for the year I've had her has gone regularly outside like clockwork. I don't know what seems to be going on, but I paid an awful lot of money for my dog to sit in her cage in feces. I'm never taking her back. The dog groomers are great: they do an amazing job keeping her clean and trim. But boarding? Hard pass

They've done a great job grooming (bathing) our three dogs, including two huskies. They come home smelling amazing and beautifully brushed out. We haven't used any other services besides the spa bath at this time.

I cannot give this place enough stars! the staff is incredibly kind and helpful. they listen to all your wants and needs and take great care of your pet! I dropped my baby off for grooming & they returned her looking like a shiny new pup! they take great care in pride with the services they provide, I would highly recommend this place to any & every one!

I had my almost 2 year old lab/foxhound mix (M) do a board and train for 2 weeks with Alexander. Wow....what an improvement!! Prior the training Sullivan was getting more and more reactive to other dogs on leash. He would take off from the house if he had a chance. He was also getting more dominant with other dogs in group settings After 2 weeks with Alexander (and only 2 days home with me) look at these pictures!! There are woods behind him and he stayed perfectly! We have had several walks already and have had MUCH better interactions when we encountered other dogs. Alexander was great with sharing videos of the training so that I can refer back to them as needed. He took Sullivan to Home Depot and One Loudon to work on skills with distractions. We spent about 45-60 min going over the training techniques when I picked up my dog as well and also offered access via phone/text if needed. The key to all this (which I knew going into) is really retraining myself more so than my dog! I will continue to work on tire technique and training. Was also pleased with the boarding (you do receive a discount on boarding if you do a board and train).

We have been taking our dog Ranger to this location. We LOVE the staff and the service. Ranger adores the pool! and loves getting groomed there too. I highly recommend it.

    Puppy cut

One of the best haircuts our pup has received. Quick, convenient and great prices compared to other places around. Exactly the haircut we asked for 5/5.

We took a week-long trip, but could not take our cat with us. Old Towne Pet Resort was not the closest boarding location to our home, but they came highly recommended and their pricing and policies were reasonable. I'm glad we chose them. The cattery was in high demand, so we didn't get the exact type of unit (with a window and camera) we wanted, but their staff were helpful in suggesting an alternative which actually saved us a little money. They took great care of our cat, sent photos, made sure he played with others, and even organized a nail trimming spa day. The location is easy to access and the space is amazingly large and inviting.

Dudley and Tony seem to tolerate each other out side and on walks but can't be left alone inside as they will go at it which is initiated by Dudley most times but not always. As mentioned Tony is almost 14 and has some hearing and sight loss but certainly can get around. Presently we keep them separated by either room or put Dudley in his create ( he is totally crate trained and sleeps in it). Yesterday we had Mark from Bark Buster. For the first hour he went over with us how a dog thinks and reacts. He then proceeded to teach us some tools to help the dogs better understand who in charge. For Dudley the responds was basically instant he immediately started to responds and listen and IMO he is already 75 percent near where he needs to be. Tony still needs work but he is definitely obeying more. What Mark has achieved in one day is unbelievable and this is all done without scolding or treats. I was very concern before Mark came this wasn't resolvable. I see it will take time but certainly will be resolved . I can't say enough how awesome Mark is.

While basically a good dog in many respects, Riggins displays anxiety and shuts down during walks, which manifested in his past as fear aggression. This is not something we had dealt with with our previous pets, and knew that we needed to ensure against any kind of dangerous situation. We understood when we adopted Riggins we'd need to work with him on these ingrained bad habits. Shortly after we adopted him, we tried out group training sessions. It was clear the group training was for working on basic stuff, a lot of which our dog already knew. We felt the best option was to go with 1-1 training. And so glad we did. It was worth every penny. Scott gave us the tools to work with Riggins, as well as manage our expectations and learn how to deal with a variety of situations. We signed up for five training sessions with Scott, and as others mentioned in their reviews, the training started as soon as Scott entered the house. He made an immediate connection with Riggins and so amazing to see how the dog just snapped to attention for him. Such a great talent to have. Basically Scott told us we need to completely reprogram our dog. We're continuing to work on that, and probably will for the foreseeable future. But there's been a definite improvement in the way we deal with Riggins, and I see daily 'baby step' progress on walks. We've also been bike riding with Riggins, which he seems to enjoy and is great at draining his energy. The bike rides also ensure that the dog is following me, I'm in the lead and have control over the situation. So thanks to Scott for his help. We may well call him again for a tune-up, but for right now, we're putting his recommendations in place and are seeing a difference.

Our puppy's nipping has really lessened and she definitely is paying more attention than before. Scott taught us various ways to walk a dog and the importance of keeping them safe in different environments. He also gave us great insight on the dogs' point of view which really helped us understand our puppy's behavior more. Scott made sure my fiance and I were highly involved with the training and it helped boost our confidence for when we'd continue training our puppy on our own. Although the training already made a big difference, Scott also reminded us that our puppy is still so young and that we need to remain realistic and patient. The reassurance, constructive criticism, and encouragement created a very positive environment for the session. I am overall very impressed! Thank you so much, Scott!

In addition to that, he did provide sound guidance on how to work with these, as well as a frank opinion. The techniques that he used with our dogs were effective, but the logic that he used to explain behaviors made me raise my eyebrows a few times. Mike subscribes to pack theory. Pack theory is outdated and was debunked by the same group of scientists that performed the study. (If you don't believe me, go to google scholar and look up some recent studies from academic papers.) Those notes aside, I do find Mike's professionalism to be highly questionable. Multiple times, Mike had directed condescending comments towards me flat out saying that women (unlike men) were more prone to making emotional (and i guess the implication was that they consequently make irrational and irresponsible) decisions. From how he talked, I was under the impression that he was coming into the consultation with this attitude, because I am female, even before meeting me. This is due in part because his phrasing indicated that he felt that my husband was the "rational" decision maker. I felt very disrespected in my own home. This behavior is very concerning, especially since he said that his daughter had made him aware that these types of comments could be perceived as sexist. I would assess other trainers first.
