This is the second time I have been here and their quality is consistent. I did not post a review after the first time because I need to see if there is consistency between visits. I get my Tibetan Terrier trimmed/shaved twice a year. The resulting dog is well trimmed and nails done perfectly. The groomers have been there a long time and are always happy and friendly. This means it is a good place to work. Happy groomers happy dogs. This is not a cheap place to go but for $10 higher price than the chain salons I feel it is money well spent. read more

Mogli has been to Dog A Do twice now and I don't think I'll take him anywhere else. They are the only grooming place that were able to trim his nails and dewclaws, saving us money from sedation and nail trim at the vet. The front desk person, Jim, is super helpful and really personable. We had to reschedule due to a family medical emergency and it was a simple fix. So unfortunate that I am writing this heartbreaking review. I have been having my dog groomed at this salon for over a year, no issues. Unfortunately that all changed this past weekend. My dog developed a severe infection less than 24 hrs after leaving their facility. The urgent care vet explained that it was due to them not fully rinsing off the soap during his bathing, which caused severe irritation. When I contacted the salon to inquire about their company's insurance information I was yelled at by the manager, William, and hung up on twice. Was told that he was there and nothing happened and that they absolutely would not be paying for anything. He first told me the owner would be contacting me. When I called back a few hours later from the initial hang up I was told no one would be contacting me, and was hung up on again. I understand mistakes happen, but I am truly shocked by the way this "business" has decided to conduct themselves in this situation. read more

I have a very anxious (large) hound, who we bring to have her nails Cut. There is a groomer there (I'm sorry I wish I had his name) who is absolutely the best. He sits on the floor with her by front door until she's comfortable going to the table with him, talks quietly and lovingly to her The whole time, and then gives her a cookie and kisses at the end. This year she even got Christmas stuffy, which she loves! Couldn't recommend more. It's a simple service, that probably makes the business very little money, but they treat her like a VIO. the staff makes such a difference. read more

I wish I could rate -5 based on the way me and my dog were treated in combination. The crux of the problem is you don't know which groomer you are getting. The manager, William is "ok" at grooming, but co-groomers, not at all. The issue is they don't know how to groom different breeds the way they should. Every breed is different. I also think the person that works the cash register did not convey proper instructions making the situation even more frustrating. But the bottom line is they don't know their breeds.... You shouldn't have to ask them not do this or that because they messed up the prior cut too (of which I had no special instructions). They offered to "fix", but the damage was already done (chopped off) against our instructions. The icing on the cake was they had the gall to argue with me. I found a groomer that specializes in my breed, so this debacle forced me to look for better. It's sad to have to write this review as I've been a customer for years. Very good and transparent service; however, the only knock would be the inconsistency in haircuts, which may be due to the fact that your pet could go to a different individual on each of their visits. The dogs, in many cases, come from horrible hoarding situations, or had been homeless for years and are in bad shape. I wanted to find a great place for our puppy, now that she's a little bigger and doesn't love bath time with us. The recommendations from Nextdoor were super positive for Dog a Do. Such great ratings overall also. I was so pleased with the friendly and welcoming staff. Zoe, our pup can be a little too energetic to handle, but she was so happy when we picked her up and they did such a wonderful job! Looks and smells great, and her nail trim is perfect! What a great place! My dog was happy and comfortable and wasn't terribly nervous. They were really good with her and kept her calm and once I was gone, she was fine. She was finished super quickly, even shorter than they told me when I dropped her off. I was told a couple of hours and she was finished in just over an hour. Though my dog never needs a hair cut as her hair is pretty short, she had a nice bath, clipping her nails, cleaning her ears and expressing her anals. They did a really good job and she came home smiling and happy. This is a really good place to bring your dog(s) for grooming. Its reasonable, the technicians are experienced and you get a sense they have been doing this for a long time. They know how to handle the problem dogs or the uncomfortable ones with ease. Just a note, they only take cash and checks and they will remind you both when you drop off and when they call you to tell you your dog is ready to be picked up. They are open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Closed on Wednesday and Sunday. The fee was very reasonable in comparison to other grooming places and they did a really nice job. I will most definitely be back and will also be recommending this salon, since I highly recommend this place for your dog and special family member. read more

Mogli received an excellent hair cut a few weeks ago. Cash or check only, but they do tell you ahead of time. It's pretty busy, but the business does a great job at organizing their services between the client and groomer. Mogli is a Border Collie/Aussie mix at 72 pounds. The cut cost $108, but they do a great job and actually clean and sterilize their products unlike some of the unfortunate experiences that I have heard about from PetsMart. We will be returning to Do A Do for sure. read more

This place did a really great job! I was a little wary after reading some of the reviews but in the end I had nothing to really worry about. It did seem like they changed a lot after receiving some negative reviews such as putting a sign on the door that masks are required. They did a really great job with my pups haircut and the family has agreed this is the best haircut that our pup has had in his whole life. The reason why I am taking out 1 star is that there was one gentleman in the store without a mask and a lot of their employees were not wearing the masks correctly(under their nose or below the chin). But overall I would come to this place again and hopefully they step up their precaution rules. read more

Horrible experience. We will not be back. We dropped our munchkin off in the AM and did not get a call to pick up our dog till late in the afternoon. They claimed that they left us a voicemail (we did not) then admitted they had a mix up and called someone else with information about our pup. We finally got a call right as they were closing. They also failed to mention they were cash only causing more trouble during pick up. Finally and most importantly, they kennels dogs with no easy access to water. We have been taking our dog here for YEARS but as of today, not anymore. They are inconsistent, constantly raising their prices, and rude. Recently, when I went to pick up my dog, the owner told me my dog is fat and needs to go on a diet if she wants to breathe better to live. (My dog has bad anxiety and gets herself worked up. She is also healthy and happy, according to our VETERINARIAN) Excuse me, but who are you to be giving medical advice to my dog? My dog usually only takes about 1-2 hours to complete the service (she is just 8 pounds), but today she took 4 hours - adding to her anxiety. Also, they are inconsistent with their styling. When I go to pick up my dog, sometimes I never know what haircut I'm going to get, even after I specify every single time I drop her off. Again, we have been coming here for years wanting the same exact haircut. We will NOT be going back to these groomers. Between my dogs bad haircut, their uncalled for insults to my dog from the owner, and extremely high prices (raised their prices TWICE this year alone), they have lost a customer. they do not follow CDC guidelines. My husband and I have been taking our dog here for a few years. We prefer to have the same person groom him as groomers become familiar with their regulars and it makes the experience less stressful for the dogs. Recently, our dog's regular groomer left. He has been groomed twice since. No issues the first time with a less familiar groomer. Huge issue the second time. I stressed to the owner that my dog needs someone gentle, patient, and careful to groom him. She reassured me that he was in good hands. Not the case. It took longer than usual to groom him--which I found odd because it never took more than three hours even over holiday weekends. I called twice to check on him. The first call was over two hours after dropping him off when I was told they just finished his bath. Why did it take almost 2.5 hours to take him back to bathe him when he was dropped off first thing in the morning? Since I had to be somewhere before he was done, my parents were kind enough to pick him up. When I got home, my dog was initially happy to see me, but the happiness faded to fear and trepidation with the tail ever between his legs and his body trembling. It was incessant; he wouldn't stop shaking. Upon checking his ears, I noticed a crusty yellow Quick Stop on his left ear. I also noticed some areas that were dipped and much closer to his skin. I can see they clipped his left ear, but as it heals and to my horror, it looks like they clipped a part of his ear flap off. The first couple of nights home, he would shake and he literally went to hide in a bedroom closet multiple times--the same closet he ran to after he was attacked by a family member's larger dog and pinned to the ground by his neck. He also still will not play like his normal self. I understand that accidents happen and all, but nothing was reported to me or to my parents. Nobody called when it happened, it was shoved under the rug. I was also lied to about multiple things by the manager over the phone when I called to ask what happened to my dog and his ear. I only know this because my mom told me exactly what happened when she picked him up and the manager's story does not corroborate. I am furious. I would expect the decency to report any accident for awareness so the pet owner can keep an eye on the spots as well as for further care to ensure infection does not set in and proper healing of wounds occurs with as little pain as possible. Unfortunately, I had to discover the wound on my own and clearly, our dog is traumatized. I can't trust people who hurt my dog (even if it is an accident) and then lie to me about it like I don't know what my dog's ears look like and I can't tell when a part of his ear was clipped off. For the sake of his health and well-being (and my peace of mind), he won't be going back. read more

We have been coming here for years and they do a great job at a good price. However, we have only been here once during the pandemic and don't think they will be returning. They did not seem to be taking even the basic precautions. When we picked up our dog they had a contactless sign in, but an employee came out to great us without a mask. Contactless drop off and pick up was similarly handled without masks. They have no policies for COVID on their website either. Even more of a concern is they don't seem to have policies in place to keep their employees safe. No masks, cramped quarters, windows closed, no distancing.. We don't feel it's ethical to come here again sadly. I also think it's strange they only take cash. Always seems suspicious from a tax perspective for a business with this much volume... read more

I highly recommend this grooming salon. Everyone is very nice and professional. After several grooming fails, we finally found a great salon. They get my pup in and out fast and that means the world to me because she gets really bad anxiety when it's time for her haircut. We've had a few bad experiences and taking her to the groomer is a nightmare for both of us. She gets so stressed that she gets diarrhea when she comes home (TMI SORRY), but today when I went to pick her up she didn't want to leave and no stress diarrhea when we got home and she looks great! They said it was miscommunication but there's a huge difference between Shaved and Trimmed. It was a Saturday n i took my 1.5 yr old pomapoo there to get her nails grinded. They were packed n fully staffed. Everyone greeted us with smiles n they didn't make me feel bad for not having an appt. which I'm so thankful for! An older woman, super sweet was who did Sashas nails n she did a wonderful job! There were no jagged nails, all were smooth n low. Sasha hates the salon n sometimes it's a challenge to work on her so I'm glad she was able to do what she did. It was $11 (so cheap!) n they only take cash or checks. If u forget there's a Wells Fargo conveniently right across the street. My new go to!! I have taken my Shih-Tzu Marley to Dog A Do Salon for his last 3 grooming's and each time I have been super impressed with the haircut, quick turn around time and customer service. I used to take my dog to PetCo and paid much higher prices for a very choppy cut. I also worked for a veterinary clinic that offered grooming and while they did a fantastic job it was way more expensive and my dog was there from 7:30- 2pm.
