Stylish sassy Maya

I finally found a good stylist in North Virginia for my baby. She followed my requests on the spot and even offered me helpful suggestions for her hair style. I'll post more pictures later on.

After spa day

My three pomeranians (two are in heaven) have been a customer at Featherle for years. They come back freshly done on their spa days, and each of them had their own special cut just due to their size and the texture of their coat, which the groomers here professionally take care of because what do I know about how to cut pomeranian's hair? My current baby is a barking king and a bit dramatic, but he comes back with his nails trimmed, ears cleaned and looking and smelling so fresh. I can just see him being a drama king while they pamper him, but they take so good care of him. I know this because he is excited to see them when we go in!

Grooming fail. Just picked up my dog from Featherle Pet Care. Right side of neck and back oddly shaved.

Just picked up my dog from Featherle. Weird shaving on the right side of his neck and back. Lopsided mess. Won't be going back.

Before

I took my miniature poodle to get his first haircut and I wish I had come sooner! I did a lot of research on groomers because I wanted to ensure I took Baxter to the best. Based on the previous reviews my experience was superb. They were very nice to us and my dog and they were very nice to the other dogs. We waited the entire time just to ensure our puppy wouldn't be scared. I had a picture of what I wanted my dog to look like and he came out perfect thanks to Mary. She is really great and a perfectionist. I am now a regular customer.

Mary is amazing!!! She is patient and knowledgeable and willing to help teach my german shepherd puppy about getting her nails clipped!!! I would recommend them to all my friends!!!

I have been taking my pup to Featherle for 3 years and he's always coming back with a great cut. The staff is very friendly and very accommodating.

My shih tzu/ Lhasa apso mix right after his trim :)

I have a shih tzu/Lhasa apso mix named Benji, and his hair gets tangled/matted pretty easily. I used to go to another pet salon and they always yell at me for bringing him in matted! In featherle, they're more understanding about it haha. They always did a wonderful job. Very sweet to my dog. I'm know a regular!

They are always so kind and loving to our dogs. I know I am leaving them in good hands for their grooming.

We initially loved taking our doodles to get groomed here when Jina was the owner but they've…read morechanged ownership since then and we've decided to part ways with Pretty Paws. There have been several changes implemented due to new ownership: 1) They no longer have cage free grooming and they put our dogs into kennels while they wait for us to pick them back up 2) Prices have gone up about 2-3 times due to the rise of inflation which is understandable but wanted to share to other dog owners for awareness 3) They use an assembly line process for grooming which is faster so our large dogs are typically in and out within ~2 hours Although our doodles typically came out well groomed for the most part, they both began to dread coming in and felt more anxious than usual, which wasn't a good sign to us. Additionally, the new front desk staff (male) could work on his customer service etiquette as he has came off as condescending multiple times to both myself and my husband regarding the care of our dogs. Our other friends who also brought their dogs here have shared similar sentiments. This is not their fault, but the location can be challenging to get to during traffic hours (they close at 4PM Monday through Saturday) since it's right on 50 and a lot of cars are going out west.

I have been going here for over 6 years - I found the post I originally made about this place…read more WELL. 5 stars no longer applies. I moved away to NY for 6 months and when I came back I went straight to the same groomers my Pup had been to since he was a puppy. I called to make my usual appointment and was asked To resubmit veterinary information again in a rude manner. Then when I arrived I was greeted by a new face at the desk. A man who said he was hired to do everything the right way unlike "before". Yet when I Asked if they were under new Ownership the man said, "NO" Here are my following reasons for their 1 Star- 1. New ownership Yet the man at front desk outright told Me ownership did not change. WHY LIE About the switch? 2. Price- increased and they even charged me. Handling fee bc they said my Dog was unmanageable, yet, the previous owners LOVED HIM. 3.customer service- new guy upfront-He was unprofessional and unpleasant. I shouldn't have left my dog especially because I felt Something was off with this man's energy. But I summed it up to maybe he was having an Off" Day. He was just rude and unkind, unlike previous owners. He would go on and on about how he was there from out of state bc his mom was unwell so I also felt bad for him, but I was also on a tight schedule. I just found this to be extremely unprofessional. Get this- I tried something new with my pup for the first time and had his tail Colored ( safely of course bc this is practically my Son). The man comments- he's not a fan of Color but to each their own. That owners who dye their dogs should do their research on how bad it is for their pets... uh really? I just ignored his unwarranted opinion but was quite upset by it. 4. going to trust myself and my pups initial reaction when picking him up. He use to love Going to the groomers and now he's terrified. 5. I paid extra for teeth cleaning which I could tell was not done and they did not trim his dewclaws which was previously always cut. At pick up, even though I was trying to get out of there as much as my dog was, the man proceeded to lecture me about taking care of my dog at home, so that he is not so matted, and that is why they had to shave him all the way at this point, I was so traumatized I just wanted to get the heck out of there, so I just paid and left as unhappy as my pup was. Oh and before I could finish paying the man asked if I was going to tip bc it is customary... really!?! I'm in the service industry I'm well aware... Never going Back - sad about the changes!

Highly recommend this place they really know how to groom dogs…read more i have been struggling to find a place and have had really bad experiences I live in Centreville Virginia and I have tried all the grooming services including vans that go to houses And really bad service This place " how cute your dog Grooming " is top of the line and super reasonable prices

I stumbled upon this place after visiting family. Normally we take our dog to Pet Supplies Plus…read morebecause we enjoy washing our dog ourselves. But since our dog had a butt mishap (aka we tried to trim his butt at home) we thought he needed some professional help. We called this place and got an appointment the next day. If you are new they require rabies documentation for your first visit. During the phone call, they just ask general questions on your dog's name, weight, your info, and times you can come in. In addition, they are very upfront with their fees. We told them our dog weight/breed so the receptionist gave us a range so we knew what to expect. I believe they give a range because until they see the dog, they won't know what extra things might need to be done. The day of the visit, we felt very welcomed and seeing all the dogs in the back and in the front waiting area gave our mind ease. Our dog is quite shy and a scaredy cat (except at the dog park, go figure lol). Upon checking in, one of the groomers came out saw his butt and knew he needed to be saved from a haircut got wrong. Although shy, as soon as we let him behind the gate with the groomer, he was quite willing to follow them...but very slow. They gave him a little butt trim and a very good wash that including nail trimming which took roughly 3-4 hours. When picked up he smelled so good, looked extremely happy and calm, and had the cutest bandana on him. The price we paid was less than what we were quoted on which was awesome. But this is probably because he didn't need much of a cut. We definitely plan to use this place in the future as all staff was very kind, all the dogs we saw in the establishment (including ours) were quite calm/happy/excited. The price is reasonable and I like that you can get quoted where they give you a range from the cheapest it could be to the most expensive.
