Have worked with Groom 'n Glory for a while with one of our dogs (mini Goldendoodle). Sent our Labrador in to see if a groom helped with the amount of dog hair in the house. Huge reduction in dog hair. And, he loved his time at Groom 'n Glory. Two weeks later his fur is still more fluffy than coarse. We also had our Maine Coon Cat groomed the same day as the dogs. First groom not at the vet for the cat. She looks amazing - much better than previous grooms at the vet. The vet does a lions cut which makes her look a bit like a rat. She was never happy with the vet hair cut. Groom 'n Glory just trimmed her fur with scissors. No razor. Mush happier cat as a result. I just requested appointments for the Labrador. Very professional staff clearly communicates. Appointments are confirmed the night before and if you ask, and there is an opening in the schedule, they will call you to get you into the schedule when they are able. Hence I was able to get three animals groomed on one day. read more

I was here today to get a last minute nail cut for my dog. My first impression is the place is older, has poor ventilation and is too cramped of a space for a full dog grooming staff. It definitely smells like wet dog in there and it's cold yet humid. The first thing I noticed was there was a husky that was pacing back and forth in the room next door. Obvious signs of anxiety. Then the screeching. I got up to look in the back and there was this large wet dog, tied with literal chains just screaming and crying. This poor pup was screaming for the 20 minutes I was in there. He was soaking wet, chained up and at least three people were nearby, none which even attempted to console him. This place is like a slaughterhouse. I would never bring my dog back here, even for a short nail trim. read more

I took my 60 lb Ridgeback/Coonhound mix here for a bath about a month ago when I was short on time, and they did a great job brushing & bathing him. I'm a little fuzzy on the exact times, but I opted for the morning drop off and the 12-2 PM pickup. He was finished an hour earlier than 1 PM estimate and he came out looking shiny & healthy (a little stressed, but that isn't uncommon for him after grooming). His nails and dewclaws were trimmed neatly and didn't have any rough edges. Here's where the 3 star part comes in, when we got home, instead of wanting to go sniff around out front like usual, he was super anxious to go upstairs to our apartment. I was barely able to throw away his potty bag before he was pulling me back towards the apartment. When we got inside, he ran straight for his water bowl. After a few laps, he started coughing and gagging, threw up some foam and fur, then he continued to drink nearly a bowl of water before I had to stop him. I don't think they offer water for the dogs in the kennels during the grooming process, or if they do, his bowl was empty. While I was definitely pleased with the grooming service, I'm not sure I'll be back after seeing how he acted after he got home. read more

Our dog looked a bit like Paul McCartney in his Beatles days at pick up. Which was not my desired style, but I did not think to tell Groom and Glory this. Dog had a great time. Was happy at pick up. Other than the funky cut around the head, service was as expected. However, pick up and drop off times were very specific - no flexibility. Which did not bother me, but is something to be aware of when booking. Also, no flexibility to book same day appointments. So make your reservation early! read more

We've been customers at Groom and Glory forever. They have always done a good job, and are very caring with our dogs. Even today, when we took in an extremely matted Shih Tzu, Jan had to shave a little. We got back an adorable, scalped little girl. Non-working members of our household usually deal with the staff, but the dealings I've had, have all been friendly and helpful. The very first time we took a Maltese to Groom and Glory, she came back beautiful. That night, we were walking this 5 lb. beauty with three greyhounds. Punkin was leading the way, and jumping in puddles. Jan (owner) was sitting on her stoop as we passed. She told Punkin she was hurt, so soon after being groomed, Punkin would be playing in puddles. Jan knew Punkin, and knew us. And that was when I figured out she cares. read more

The lady that took care of my shih-tzu chopped her hair/fur... totally clear she "just work there", no passion at all for what she does. If this lady is Groom n Glory service... that's it for me. I called Groom n Glory to find out how much it would cost to get my dog groomed and was quoted a specific price so I set up my appointment for the following week. There was no mention of any possible variation in the price when i booked the appointment on the phone OR when I dropped my dog off at the time of her appointment. I then got a call 2 hours later informing me that actually it was going to cost about 15% more than the quoted price. I told the woman on the phone I was a first time customer and asked if they would honor the price I was quoted and that I would pay the higher rate on additional appointments but I was told no. Not Happy! When I arrived to pick up my dog, I again asked the counter person to go speak to the owner/manager one more time to make the situation right by honoring the price I was quoted. it wasn't my fault they told me the incorrect price but again they declined and she didn't even come out of the back to speak to me herself. The counter girl apologized and told me she agreed with me but it wasn't her decision to make. Groom N Glory could have easily just honored the price they quoted me (their mistake not mine) and I would have been ok with paying more on additional visits but honestly I was shocked that they showed such poor customer service to a first time customer. After I got home I also noticed that the groomer shaved to close to my dogs skin near her neck and nicked her with the clippers because she now has a small scab and a clipper mark which they didn't even mention had happened when I picked her up. Needless to say I will never go back, just wanted others to know how Groom N Glory treated as a first time customer. read more

I'm not impressed. I walked in to make an appointment and stood there just waiting. I looked around the corner and the groomer saw me but didn't acknowledge me. That's bad customer service. I will go elsewhere. read more

I'm a first time dog owner and I took my five month old toy poodle here for her first groom and it went great! I called Groom 'n Glory multiple times asking questions and the woman on the phone was very patient and understanding. When I brought her in the staff was very nice, I believe it might have been the same woman on the phone before *I'm horrible with names.* The groomer called me a little after dropping her off and asked specifically what I wanted and I explained and she had additional information * I had no idea what teddy bear feet were* I arrived a few minutes earlier then their pick up time and was greeted and told it would be a few minutes. After a very short wait I was greeted by a unrecognizable toy poodle, and I hate to admit it, but she was the most adorable puppy. I believe Becky was the groomer, and she did a great job! My puppy looked amazing, even though I loved her long hair she did a perfect job grooming her for the teddy bear look. The teddy bear feet that I was unsure about also looked perfect! Her nails were cut and trimmed very well which was a very big importance to me. Overall I think the staff is very nice and caring and I would highly recommend Becky and look forward to my next grooming session. I really enjoyed hearing by multiple staff members that my puppy acted very well because it shows that they care and are willing to share how things went. I gave this place two chances. Both times, I was quoted a price, a groomer looked over my dog before I left, then was charged an additional fee because he was 'matted'. Really? You looked him over and could not have given me that info upfront? I agree with the man who said they really didn't seem to care whether the customer was upset. Never going back! If they have an attitude like that, I wonder how they are with the dogs when nobody is watching. read more

At last, a place that grooms cats! I took ours in for his first ever grooming treatment and feel like he was treated very well as he didn't appear to be stressed at all when I picked him up just a few hours after dropoff. Also, he looked great in his St. patrick's day bandana. :) read more

Overall good job! They give you this cute little report card on your doggy and it makes you feel special. They are pretty fast... almost too fast. If you drop your dog off in the morning... you are required to pick up around 12:00 which can be VERY hard if you work. The only thing I HATE is that you have to tip with cash. Nothing annoys me more when I am inconvenienced and I have to go to the ATM and pay a $5 fee because they don't want to spend the extra money for their merchant services. This place is not cheap... so it should be an option. The owner needs to realize its hurting their employees tips... But as far as grooming is concerned... GREAT! read more

Yes, Groom 'n Glory is a little more expensive, but you get what you pay for. I have been taking my three dogs here for years. My poodle is impeccably groomed by Allison. And Jan makes my Maltese and Yorkie look beautiful. My dogs are my babies and I don't trust them to just anybody. I feel when I take them to Groom 'n Glory, they are being well cared for. read more

Do your dog a favor & take it else where . don't WASTE your money and time going to Groom' n Glory. They are way too expensive and you don't get what you paid for. My little puppy was bleeding from her paws when I picked her up. She looked terrified and kept licking her paws. She was limping for weeks. After I complained about her bleeding paws, they simply told me this is normal and it happens all the time. Then they had the nerves to tell me your puppy moves too much therefore we need to charge you an EXTRA $20. It felt like they just wanted to turn the tables on me. NEVER AGAIN... Jan and Elaina are professional, personable, and passionate about their services to their clients. When I drop my Bernese Mountain Dog off for grooming he is given a room, not a crate to be in. Of course a 120 lb dog is not easily put into a crate but the point is he is treated like he is at home. When I pick him up he is happy and looks stunning. My show cocker spaniels get buffed and polished as well and I was thrilled to discover they knew how to groom show dogs. This is very helpful in keeping the cocker coat looking great for the ring. I highly recommend this business for your buff and polish needs for all your furry family. read more

My two puppies are my babies and therefore I take great care of them and I am very picky about who grooms them. I found groom and glory through my vet. They do a great job but it's pricier than most places (hence the 4 stars) They should include the basics in the pricing such as nail filing but they don't. Overall they do a great job and my boys love going there! read more

I have never written a bad review about a business - I always make an attempt to try to work through my issue with them but Groom n' Glory refuses to apologize for making my dog look like a naked mole rat. I first took my schnoodle here this summer and the groomer asked me what I wanted and discussed details with me about the length of her overall coat, her face, her legs, and then her tail. I couldn't have been happier with the outcome. We brought both of our dogs here this month and received a different groomer. When making the appointment, I said as long as she gets the same cut as last time, I don't care who the groomer is (since the last groomer wasn't available this time). My husband took our dogs in and repeatedly told the groomer (Becky) to groom our schnoodle the same way she was last time. Looking at her notes, she asked him if he wanted a "schnauzer face" to which he responded, "if that's what was done last time"... Mind you our dog does not look like a schnauzer so I have no idea why she suggested that or assumed he knew what the heck she was talking about. My dog came out full shaved with very little fur on her eyebrows and her snout AND had a significant, open gash on her snout which scabbed over the next day and they claimed it was 'a sore' that was already there (BS, the fur around the gash was shaved down to her skin and it was clear the groomer nicked her face). When my husband brought her home, I was disgusted. I called Groom n Glory and they put me on the phone with the groomer who first blamed it on the file, saying there was no information about how to cut her face and tail from the last groomer, and then she retracted her statement and said it was my husband's fault. He then got on the phone and talked to the owner, who said that they could do nothing for us because "a service was performed even if it wasn't to our liking".... They certainly did NOT provide a service! - nor do they understand the importance of their clients or feel the need to make them feel respected. We NEVER received an apology, got BLAMED for my dog being shaved (IT'S October, why would we want that!) She doesn't even look like a schnauzer and no "schnauzer face" fur cut was achieved. SO they get the loss of the business of both of my dogs and anyone else I can prevent from spending $80 for them to butcher your pooch's fur-do. I would have taken an apology and been over it and gone back to the original groomer but am just completely disgusted with this business' inability to own up to its mistake. read more

I brought my cat in for a nail trim. He's a big boy so many groomers get frustrated with him, but he clearly felt very comfortable with Elaina and she did a great job. We were in and out in no time. I'll definitely be back! read more

I have two Airedale Terriers who need hand stripping. Elaina does an excellent job and the dogs are very happy to go there.
