I only started bringing my dogs to Poodle Doodle about 2 years ago and it used to be great. Ever since it was sold, it has gone downhill. At first I thought it would be ok. I didn't like the tall blonde woman at the front desk but I didn't want to let personality differences scare me away from somewhere that's always done a good job and I haven't seen her since then. This feeling kept simmering though until this last visit when they butchered my pup's ear. We had to have our vet treat it because it was so bad - the scabs are now huge (see pic). I tried but we're never going back there again. For anyone who sees the current rating, don't get taken in. It was 5 stars when I first brought my pups there. It's a declining rating. read more

I dunno what happened. I've been going here consistently for years then recently it's gone down hill on my last 3 occasions for various reasons (my dog gets groomed every 5 weeks). Last two times the front person said I didn't have an appointment but I had the business card with the appointment on it. Also, they didn't cut my dog's nails. The last straw was when they double charged me and kept arguing with me that they didn't and I had to show them my bank app. It took them 1.5 weeks to refund me. Also, some front lady desk was so rude. The last time went there and dropped my dog off, she shoo'd me away. All I did was bend over kiss my dog bye and she said "JUST GO... The service has gone way downhill. My last two visits have been lacking a professional groomer. She had an uneven cut. Her tail was cut too short. They didn't clean her eyes. she came home with eye boogers. Her ears were cut uneven. Needless to say, I will not be going back. read more

This place is absolutely fabulous. Its been a struggle trying to find a good groomer in the area. After many terrible haircuts, we finally found a place that has great service and is affordable. Its a bit of a hike from my house but it is so worth it! Elaine is such a sweetheart and is always smiling whenever I bring in my dog, Tofu. She listens to exactly how you want the dogs cut to be like and also gives you suggestions based on the dogs current condition. They use different shampoos depending on the type of fur/coat the dog has and I thought that was very thoughtful. To top it all, they put a little bow on my little fella when I picked him up. Its adorable. He smells so fresh and looks clean. I actually look forward to getting his hair cut now! I don't trust anyone else. Will never be coming back here again! I have been taking my poodle to Poodle Doodle for the last 6 months. We come once a month and I was happy with past appointments. However what they did today is beyond unacceptable. We went in for a trim and they shaved my dog! The owner mentioned that he had a few knots but that was it. Not once did anyone tell me they were going to shave him. If I would've known that we would have left immediately. They didn't even call me to tell me what they were planning to do. I have no idea who in shop did this, but they should not be doing this for a living. I left the place speechless. Forgot to post review. I found this little groomer on Google after being hesitant of the process after a horrendous experience with Pet Smart groomer. The shop was clean, well organized and staff was friendly and patient while I tried to wrangle my super active golden doodle puppy and talk to them about service. I was very particular about what I wanted. He needed a trim and I stressed that I wanted him to still have the classic doodle look. He has the wavy coat which is less curly and looks even more straight when you trim. The last groomer just buzzed him all over paying no attention to his facial furnishings that makes a doodle look like a doodle. She listens to all of my request and gave me exactly what I wanted. They received a 4 out of 5 because there was a minor thing with the bridge is his nose. I wasn't super fond of the cut design. Other than that he looked great.
