I have two toy poodles, and so we've been coming here monthly to get them groomed. The service has been great every time we go, and our dogs always look and smell amazing! My favorite part is the finishing touches, with the little bows on our girl dog, and a bow tie for our boy dog. They offer multiple services and are able to cut the dogs however you'd like! They update you through messages to let you know when they've finished, usually 2-3 hours for us since we bring two dogs. I believe they cut big dogs too (you can call and check). "Clark, you're the real superhero!", so said our special-needs/independently-living son, who brought his young Welsh terrier in to be groomed for the first time. And indeed, Clark was! I spoke with him prior to the appointment regarding the situation. Although it was his day off, he was gracious and supportive and wonderful about our son and the dog coming in. The dog had mats and had never been groomed, but Clark took extra time and worked wonderfully with her and she looks AMAZING. AND adorable with a bowtie!!! My maltese, Lewy Nacho Justin Timberlake V. (or just Lewy) loves Yeppi Pet Grooming and so do I! Lewy is a white, fluffy circus dog so he is prone to major hair snarls. Most grooming places do not have the patience to comb through his jungle of a body and end up shaving him so he looks like a drowned rat for two months. But not Yeppi -- they never shave and they GENTLY remove any hair snafus that your dog may have which I really appreciate. The front desk is very kind and you can tell that they really love animals. Since going to Yeppi, Lewy always looks as handsome as his *N SYNC namesake. Whenever I pick him up and they always accessorize him with a nice bow or paisley handkerchief. We bring our Maisie here and we love this place. The people who work here really understand dogs and are compassionate and gentle with dogs who may have some anxiety when getting groomed. I started bringing my dog here right after we rescued her and she was in the middle of heartworm treatment. Her lower half was usually sore from the injections, so she would come here afterwards for a bath and a massage. I have to say--whenever we would come, before her grooming, she would be too sore to jump up on the backseat so I'd help her up but after her grooming she was energetic and jumped up by herself. There was a noticeable difference in her energy level for sure after her grooming here. They also give really good treats. Last time I was here they gave Maisie 2 treats (!!) just while I was settling up and they were the big greenies that dogs seem to really like. You can't go really go wrong here. In fact, I'm actually moving to Reston and I'm not even considering changing groomers because I trust Yeppi. read more

Front desk guy is extremely rude and disrespectful. They completely ignored us when we said we wanted a teddy bear cut for our mini poodle. We offered to show a reference picture but they didn't want to see it and kept saying "we know how to do it". We picked him up and he looks nothing like what we wanted. They just shaved him short with no shape. Not only that, when we picked him up, the guy throws him on the ground instead of handing him to us which is completely unnecessary. Our dog comes home scared each time and he's never like that at any other place. I don't know what they do to him in there. Definitely not coming back. I used to take my dog to PetSmart, but didn't like their customer service. I was in search of a grooming place and came across this one. I took my dog for the first time today and I am not disappointed. She looks so adorable and they even added 2 bows on her ! They have amazing customer service and make sure they answer all questions you have. They ask you to show them a picture of how you want your dog to look like and they do just that. Shameful people! First as some complaints from other reviewers, the quality and service got out of hand because of the the ownership change in recent years; Also, the male host is NOT a groomer and he has been known for his rude and offensive behaviors and confrontational words and that was why he was asked to leave by the original owner but the new owner brought him back, and his assertiveness and confrontation continue. Second, Yes the quality of cuts and care for your pets has fallen dramatically, such as uneven cuts, incomplete jobs, or often not listening to specific requests, and so many scratches and cuts, etc. But most importantly, I want to share my last experience on grooming injury. During my last visit, when I was picking up my dog, they did NOT mention anything about the injury. I have noticed it on my way home and had to return to store. Yes the rude man'd acknowledged the incident and assured us it was nothing more than a very small slight scratch. But there was no apology or due-caring sympathy. So we came home and my dog was refusing to eat or go for walk, so we let her rest for a day and a half; and when the bandage fell off, we noticed a HUGE gout around the so-called scratched area which happened to be very near the joint, and the injury was a severely deep cut wound and the area was rotting with fuss due to infections. We immediately took her to our vet and were able to save her from the joint infection. We've reached back out to Yeppi about the seriousness and the rude man was rather admitting it wasn't a light scratch, but he said there is nothing he can do and the owner is out of town. He start getting agitated and told us to call back in few weeks. We have asked them to call us back when the owner returns. Of course no call. So we finally got hold of the owner on the phone after few weeks, and gave her rundowns and asked if she was aware of the incident or rather injury. She said she was the one who groomed my dog and she said she may have "scratch a little" because she was in hurry. Not only she was minimizing, but she talked as if it was someone else's story and of course there was no apology. When we demand for apology, she confronted us by saying "so what is it that you want? you want compensation!?" Then she raised her voice and told us to send pictures and bills. Again, the bill was reimbursed, but this isn't about the money. To this date, there was no apology, and we are just flabbergasted for their unapologetic reactions and rather offensive and assertive attitudes and tones. read more

When I was searching for a groomers I read a lot of reviews, I looked at a lot of pictures and called them to talk to them about their services. Anna was extremely nice over the phone and gave me an appointment right away, when we dropped off our dog for the first time here she made him feel extremely welcomed and played a lot with him to make him feel comfortable. Which made ME extremely comfortable with leaving him there at a new place. I am extremely picky when it comes to my dog's haircut and grooming and who handles him, but long story short I knew he's in good hands and we had a photo shoot with him when he got home, hahaha !!!! that's how happy I was. :) Highly recommend this place for any age dog. read more

I've been taking my yorkie Oliver to Yeppi for almost 3 years now and we absolutely love them! Everyone is always so friendly, they always remember him whenever we come back and I love that they have a room that allows your pet to play and run around rather than be in a cage while they wait to be groomed. Clark is a dog whisperer! I took my 55 lb dog to get his nails and fur between his pads trimmed. I was very honest with him about my dog's temperament when it comes to getting his nails trimmed. He's pretty anxious and jumpy when I do it at home. I have never seen my dog so calm and receptive to getting his paw-dicure! I took my pomeranian here and he left looking like a new dog. The head was cut very cute and round but I was worried if they had shaved him too close to the skin. To be fair, they did ask if we would like a summer coat (which we didn't know the meaning of the time), and the dog seemed to have become much more willing to go out in the summer. I believe the groomers should have cautioned us on cutting the hair too short since pomeranians are not supposed to get shaved but his hair is growing back fine and he looks very cute :) I will definitely take him back here and ask for a longer cut. read more
