The dog had a knot in its hair and when removing it, the groomer injured the dog.

Injured my daughter 's dog while grooming it. Injured my daughter 's dog while grooming it. This response from the owner of Yappie is inaccurate. The dog was injured during the grooming. The groomer acknowledged it. The owner was not at Yappie and the groomer said they didn't have access to files and that was confirmed. The photo included was taken immediately when the dog was home from the groomer and this was the photo sent to the owner of Yappie to show the injury. Those are facts.

Oh.my.goodness! Dog moms and dads- WHAT ARE U WAITING FOR? Trust me, I only want the best for my pup. He is my pride and joy! I 100% was completely and totally impressed with everything about this salon, cleanliness, service, knowledge base, customer service, treatment of the clients (doggo and human), etc. they even have assorted treats while you wait! When Finley needed a groom, I explored many MANY options and places. I really struggle with shelling out over $80 at a base price for my dogs breed. I noticed a grooming salon driving around Manassas the other day and figured I would try one last time! Boy am I glad I did! They have a drop off time frame of 8-10am, they typically are able to accommodate next day drop offs. Walking in someone greets you and they will also call to see if you are on the way or planning to make it in as scheduled. The lady up front was very kind and asked all the right questions. She helped me look up styles for the face (short round, long round) turns out there is a white a bit to grooming! We opted for the short round and a close shave. They included teeth brushing, anal gland cleaning, ear clean and pluck, and claw cut. I opted out of the plucking- seemed unnecessary. I dropped of my pup at 9:30 and went home for a few hours. I received a call at 2pm that he was ready! I was so impressed at how they absolutely took their time on my pup. He is a year and 2 months and it was his first real groom- so he was a tad nervous. I picked him up and he was looking sharp, cute, and happy! They gave me a report card on his status of skin, teeth etc and how he behaved. Cute touch! If you bring him 8 times with the punch card they provide, the 9x is FREE! if you bring your dog every 6 weeks you can get 25% off as a part of their VIP plan. THEY ARE RUNNING A CHRISTMAS SPECIAL NOW!!!! Never have I seen such a great comprehensive grooming salon offer this quality at such a low price. 110% recommend this salon and their awesome people.

We first discovered this place almost 2yrs ago we used to bring our beloved Topaz until he crossed over the rainbow bridge in April 2022. So naturally When we got our new puppy Maeson in August 2022 we knew we would take Maeson to be groomed there.

Lucky Dog practices cageless grooming which I thought was interesting and quite kind to pets. Setting appointments is easy - I either call or text for appointments and they respond almost right away. The prices are reasonable too and they do a really good job grooming our dogs. Our dogs always look happy and relaxed after their appointments which says a lot about this business. Highly recommended!

I usually groom my dogs myself, but I've been sick and unable to do it lately. I was hoping to find someone reliable to start handling their baths on a regular basis. I have back issues, which is why I stopped professionally grooming to begin with. The first thing they asked was if I'd been there before. I said no, I would be a new customer. Then they immediately asked what breed my dogs were. I told them the truth: they're purebred English Staffordshire Bull Terriers. The response? "Oh, you could've just said pit bulls -- it's okay." First of all, no -- they are not pit bulls. They are English Staffordshire Bull Terriers. Pitbulls and Staffordshire Bull Terriers are not the same breed. Right after that, I was told, "Well, we're not taking new clients anyway." Interesting. Because if that were true, wouldn't you have said that the moment I said I was a new customer? It's obvious what really happened -- you heard the breed and assumed they were pitbulls. This is classic breed discrimination. You judged my dogs without knowing anything about them. The truth is, they're two of the sweetest, most well-behaved, trained dogs you could ever meet. They've been getting groomed since they were tiny puppies and love being pampered. But because of your prejudice, you turned away two perfect clients. Call it what it is: dog racism and ignorance. If you're going to work in this field, at least educate yourself on breeds.

Danielle is friendly and reliable and most of all - she does a great job. We always go with a short cut on our Maltese for ease of maintenance and Danielle's cuts are very consistent. Our dog always looks the same, which is a big positive in my book. Other groomers have delivered inconsistent looks when we simply wanted the same haircut. The convenience of the mobile service is hard to beat too. It's a little more expensive than service at a brick and mortar building, but it's worth it in my opinion. You won't regret going with this business for your furry friend's grooming needs. Highly recommended. ***In the post-grooming photo of my pup, he'd had a recent vet procedure that resulted in a stitch in his forehead and a partially shaved right leg. Most groomers do multiple dogs at once--and your dog sits in a cage in the meantime. Not great. Maria is working with just one dog --yours--from start to finish--so it's way less stress for your baby. I should also mention that Maria is the best, kindest, most competent dog groomer in the DMV. Full stop. If you have a small dog, don't even *think* about going anywhere else! Not only will your furbaby be gorgeously groomed, you will have the peace of mind of knowing he is being cared for by 1) someone who genuinely loves dogs, and 2) is also incredibly talented and experienced. Of course, I clearly asked for a schnauzer cut. When I came back to pick her up, they had once again cut her fur the same length all over. This isn't the first time this has happened, which is why it's especially frustrating. The only part they seemed to get right was leaving her beard, but the rest of the grooming completely ignored what I requested. I tried to be patient and gave them several opportunities to get it right, but at this point, I've lost confidence in their ability to follow simple instructions. Unfortunately, this was their last chance. That said, the staff is very friendly and they treated my pup well. But what's the point if they don't do what you have paid for? Maybe they just don't know how to do a Schnauzer cut.
