First time customer and definitely will be back! Found this doggie spa on yelp and was so pleased! Parking was fairly easy and they treated my pup so kind and look at how cute he is lol

I cannot say enough good things about this small business. I wouldn't ever go elsewhere. They are absolutely wonderful, so personable and genuinely pet oriented. They really take the time to get to know your fur babies and groom them within their individual comfort levels. My one girl Camry had extreme anxiety with getting her nails done and each time they were patient, never rushing her and never getting frustrated. Then when she passed away and I brought my golden back, they were so kind not only to me, but made sure Addy was comfortable by herself. I always had anxiety leaving my girls anywhere unattended, but never here and that piece of mind is priceless. You can tell that when you bring your fur babies here that they care about you and that you are not just a transaction. Speaking of, the prices are extremely fair for the high quality grooming that they provide and the space is always welcoming and clean.

    He's so handsome. Haha.

Vienna Pet Spaw is EXCELLENT. Friendly team, and super efficient! My boy is a German Shepherd - Doberman; and he can have sensitive, dry skin when it comes to grooming shampoos and conditioners. This is the first and only place that he comes home super soft, de-furred, and non-itchy! I appreciate their email and mobile appointment confirmations as well as social-distanced, outside pup delivery and check-out process!

I have a senior (11yr) wooly husky with two torn CCLs so I am always super nervous about bringing her to the groomers. Vienna Pet Spaw was able to accommodate my last minute request to take her in and she came home perfect. It's hard to fully dry a wooly husky, but she came home fully dried and her furcoat was blown and brushed. The only issue, or maybe I was unclear about, was that the fur on her her paw pads, legs, and butt area were not trimmed short enough. She still looked like a big poofy dust bunny but overall it was great. I can't wait to bring her back for routine baths! Thank you!

Love Vienna Pet Spaw and especially Sara. She groomed our beloved yorkie, Sasha, for more years than I can remember. Sasha would also be nervious going in, but Sara showered her with love and kindness, and always made Sasha adorable, even in her later years when she'd lost her puppy sparkle. When Sasha was ill, and I had to cancel our appointment with Sara, she called me just to check on her. We lost our baby, but highly recommend Vienna Pet Spaw. Great group of people!

Vienna Pet Spaw is hands (or paws) down the best in the DMV! Beginning with their amazing staff, you are immediately greeted with friendly smiles and an instant sense that they truly have a passion for what they do and care for your pet. The work that they do matches this as I've seen scruffy disheveled pups walk in, but come out strutting like they are a show dog! Conveniently located off historic church street you can drop your dog off and easily spend all your time at the local shops. Highly recommend making this your go to! Your pet will thank you!

I've been coming here for 5 months now. I have a 43 lbs goldendoodle and it costs $105 for his grooming (before tip). Keep in mind, I brush him daily and don't let him get mated. He also has been getting groomed every 4 weeks since he was 4 months old. I highly recommend this place for grooming services! We have been going to Ariel who has been very nice. You can tell she knows what she is doing. This picture is a few hours after getting groomed. Best groomers for this price point in the area.

Finally, I walked out of a pet salon genuinely happy. Vienna Pet Spaw stands out to me for 2 reasons: 1) As long as the dog is well-behaved, they are kept crate-free. I love this. 2) They allow owners to come into the back grooming area (as long as the dogs don't get too crazy seeing their owners). Of course that happened with us so we went across the street to a cute coffee house. When we returned, Onyx seemed more settled and it was fun watching him get groomed. Everyone here seems super friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about their work so I will definitely be coming back.

I simply asked a question to check in on my dog to see if they were done and the lady at the front desk was so rude in responding. Even when I dropped off my pet, she wasn't welcoming nor was she kind in the way she spoke. She was even telling me what to do with my own dog. Such a mean and unpleasant person to deal with. I should've took this as a sign to just leave. Basic human interaction includes being polite and this place can't even offer that. Front desk receptionist needs to learn manners. Also as other reviews mention, their dog has come back with scratches and cuts on their skin. Manners aside, at least take care of the dog. Would never recommend this place to anyone. Save your money and go elsewhere to a grooming establishment with better customer service and genuine care for your pet.

Danielle is friendly and reliable and most of all - she does a great job. We always go with a short cut on our Maltese for ease of maintenance and Danielle's cuts are very consistent. Our dog always looks the same, which is a big positive in my book. Other groomers have delivered inconsistent looks when we simply wanted the same haircut. The convenience of the mobile service is hard to beat too. It's a little more expensive than service at a brick and mortar building, but it's worth it in my opinion. You won't regret going with this business for your furry friend's grooming needs. Highly recommended. ***In the post-grooming photo of my pup, he'd had a recent vet procedure that resulted in a stitch in his forehead and a partially shaved right leg. Most groomers do multiple dogs at once--and your dog sits in a cage in the meantime. Not great. Full stop. If you have a small dog, don't even *think* about going anywhere else! And is very sweet, but obsessive over making himself have mats. It's quite annoying. Because of this, I had been taking him every month to a groomer, until he got too old to get in and out of a car. I managed to find Thea and Sassy Tailz, and I am so grateful. Thea is SUPER sweet, and was able to fit in Deacon within a few days of my appointment request. She got back to me immediately, gave me an estimate of price and a time frame of arrival. I was pleasantly surprised at her price, knowing that typically saying a 100 pound plus long haired dog is normally...very expensive... and she was super reasonable. She arrived, was really sweet, and I left her to do her thing. I came out maybe 45 minutes later to see how she was doing and my dog already looked AMAZING. She had gotten allllllllllllll his extra fur out, he looked glossy, not particularly thrilled to be in a tub, but SO handsome. She was so kind to him, giving him snuggles as she groomed him, and let me stay in the van while she finished him, because she noticed he was more calm with me there. Normally after a grooming, Deacon sheds...a lot... for a few days. He didn't shed AT ALL, probably because she has this giant blower that got out all that sheddy stuff in her van. I've never seen so much fur in my life. It was amazing. I typically would get Deacon groomed every month or so, but due to his age, she suggested every three months. I loved that she recommended this because she said he was stressed and she didn't want to put him in that position at his age. That to me was so huge - she cared more about my dog's health than she did money. Having someone who met my dog for an hour care more about not stressing him out than making a more regular paycheck was everything. Deacon looks so handsome - Thea is amazing - I cannot say enough good things about Sassy Tailz.

There have been several changes implemented due to new ownership: 1) They no longer have cage free grooming and they put our dogs into kennels while they wait for us to pick them back up 2) Prices have gone up about 2-3 times due to the rise of inflation which is understandable but wanted to share to other dog owners for awareness 3) They use an assembly line process for grooming which is faster so our large dogs are typically in and out within ~2 hours Although our doodles typically came out well groomed for the most part, they both began to dread coming in and felt more anxious than usual, which wasn't a good sign to us. Additionally, the new front desk staff (male) could work on his customer service etiquette as he has came off as condescending multiple times to both myself and my husband regarding the care of our dogs. Our other friends who also brought their dogs here have shared similar sentiments. This is not their fault, but the location can be challenging to get to during traffic hours (they close at 4PM Monday through Saturday) since it's right on 50 and a lot of cars are going out west.

I have been going here for over 6 years - I found the post I originally made about this place…read more WELL. 5 stars no longer applies. I moved away to NY for 6 months and when I came back I went straight to the same groomers my Pup had been to since he was a puppy. I called to make my usual appointment and was asked To resubmit veterinary information again in a rude manner. Then when I arrived I was greeted by a new face at the desk. A man who said he was hired to do everything the right way unlike "before". Yet when I Asked if they were under new Ownership the man said, "NO" Here are my following reasons for their 1 Star- 1. New ownership Yet the man at front desk outright told Me ownership did not change. WHY LIE About the switch? 2. Price- increased and they even charged me. Handling fee bc they said my Dog was unmanageable, yet, the previous owners LOVED HIM. 3.customer service- new guy upfront-He was unprofessional and unpleasant. I shouldn't have left my dog especially because I felt Something was off with this man's energy. But I summed it up to maybe he was having an Off" Day. He was just rude and unkind, unlike previous owners. He would go on and on about how he was there from out of state bc his mom was unwell so I also felt bad for him, but I was also on a tight schedule. I just found this to be extremely unprofessional. Get this- I tried something new with my pup for the first time and had his tail Colored ( safely of course bc this is practically my Son). The man comments- he's not a fan of Color but to each their own. That owners who dye their dogs should do their research on how bad it is for their pets... uh really? I just ignored his unwarranted opinion but was quite upset by it. 4. going to trust myself and my pups initial reaction when picking him up. He use to love Going to the groomers and now he's terrified. 5. I paid extra for teeth cleaning which I could tell was not done and they did not trim his dewclaws which was previously always cut. At pick up, even though I was trying to get out of there as much as my dog was, the man proceeded to lecture me about taking care of my dog at home, so that he is not so matted, and that is why they had to shave him all the way at this point, I was so traumatized I just wanted to get the heck out of there, so I just paid and left as unhappy as my pup was. Oh and before I could finish paying the man asked if I was going to tip bc it is customary... really!?! I'm in the service industry I'm well aware... Never going Back - sad about the changes!
