Every booking, every pet, every time: more signatures and "agreements" than a mortgage closing. Somewhere there's a lawyer who's never met a dog and decided the real threat to this business is the guy who's paid them loyally for three years. You carefully fill out the entire grooming form online, pick every option -- then show up and they shove a paper copy across the counter to sign the exact same thing again. And after all that paperwork, they still claim they don't have the phone number they've had on file for three years and called me on before. Let's put this in perspective. I can order dinner to my door in two taps -- Reorder, Apple Pay, done. A stranger drives hot food across town on the strength of my thumbprint. But dropping off dogs these people have known for three years apparently requires a signing ceremony and a fresh liability waiver every single visit. In 2026, that's not caution. That's a business that's forgotten how to trust its own customers. And then there's the membership -- the crown jewel of contempt. They took a system that worked and actively torched it. Gone are the daycare credit packs: fair, flexible, buy-what-you-need, the way a business treats people it respects. In their place, a pricier monthly "membership" that auto-drafts your card whether your dog walks through the door or not, with no rollover for the days you paid for and never used. Read that again: you pay, they keep it, your dog gets nothing, and they call it a perk. It's not a membership -- it's a standing withdrawal from your bank account with a bow on it. It punishes the exact people who kept this place in business: the regulars whose lives don't run on a fixed weekly schedule. Some months my dogs come once, some months five times, because that's how actual life works -- and this program is built to make sure I lose either way. It doesn't serve pets. It doesn't serve owners. It serves a spreadsheet, and it treats every loyal customer as a recurring charge to be maximized rather than a person to be valued. It is, top to bottom, the most openly hostile "loyalty" scheme I've ever been asked to fund. When customers spend more time signing forms and fighting your billing than petting their dogs, you're not a pet resort -- you're a law firm with a kennel attached. Take your pets somewhere that still remembers what the word "customer" means.

The employees are professional (on the phone and in person), they send a text reminder before your scheduled appointment, and they've always done a wonderful job cutting my dog's hair (haircuts complete with a colorful bandana). I especially love and appreciate how they have a gated area for dogs to wait in until their owners come pick them up (instead of crating them). I'm so glad that Pretty Paws is close to my home, and I'll continue to be a repeat customer!

Our frightened little girl did very well with Katie, who is now grooming our new Maltese. Katie is completely professional and courteous, extremely accommodating to our schedule, and understanding when emergencies happen. When I realized that our new dog's coat is thicker and coarser than our previous dog's, I asked her to change the cut; Katie responded in a positive manner and understood completely what I was asking for. The veterinarian at this place is unbelievable. I went to him with an emergency, they had found a…read moremass in my little girls stomach. It was blocking her from eating. I called around trying to get an appointment somewhere anywhere for endoscopy and biopsy. And no exaggeration, I called from Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia to Ohio to try to find someone who could do a endoscopy and biopsy right away. My dog had already gone a few days without eating. I am talking about all the emergency centers as well the life center and all other emergency, veterinarian hospitals. The problem was, it was a Friday and no one was going to be back until Monday. This was Friday.I need a doctor for internal medicine to do the scope and biopsy . I found a place in Cascades that could do endoscopy but not a biopsy. They could take something out of the dog stomach, for example sock a toy a chewy anything that was lodging in somebody's belly, but they could not do a biopsy or remove a tumor. I promise you I called maybe 25 places. Everyone every office I talked to could only give me advise that I can put her in the emergency and keep her there until Monday so the Vets keep her alive till they could look at her . That is a internal Medicine doctor can look at her and then if they could possibly fit her in for endoscopy, but as they were looking at their books and with seven different dates the closest date I can get it for the endoscopy was August 11. Now this is a dog who has not eaten in a few days is going downhill rapidly, I asked the one tech that was a tech in the urgent care. If there was absolutely anything they can do on an emergency basis. She said that she cannot promise me that . They will look at her on Monday and if they can fit her into the schedule, then they'll do it as soon as they can. I might be wrong about this, but I was not willing to take that chance and then not have anything done all weekend on top of it to be charged anywhere from $1500 a day to $3000 a day to keep her own fluids and alive until the vet had time to operate. I cannot believe that I am living in United States of America and we can't get a veterinarian to take care of our dogs after we pay insurance pay their astronomical bills and do everything we possibly can do for the betterment and health of our dogs. They're always encouraging. Do a rescue dog get a rescue dog so you get a rescue dog and what happens you pay the insurance you make your appointment but as soon as you need a veterinarian, it's either $10,000 $5000 or you're just out of luck. I get my Tibetan Terrier trimmed/shaved twice a year. The resulting dog is well trimmed and nails done perfectly. The groomers have been there a long time and are always happy and friendly. When i first started coming here, the owner was great at cutting my poodles' hair. Ever since she left, the new groomers have been not so great. HOWEVER, despite the inconsistency, they are willing to accommodate and learn to cut my poodles' hair the way I like it. I have tried going to other places in NOVA, 6 different groomers to be exact. Everywhere else is worse and they don't know how to cut a standard poodle's hair. I even went to the other Ashburn Belmont Chase Woof Gang location and they gave my dog an ear infection (very untrained groomers there)! I started coming here when my poodles were puppies and because of the owner back then, my dogs dont fear going to the groomers. I have started coming back here now with my nine year old poodles and I think I will not look for other groomers anymore.
