We just recently hired Scott to work with us and the pooch we rescued in January. Our dog is a Husky mix, and is a little over 4 years old. While basically a good dog in many respects, Riggins displays anxiety and shuts down during walks, which manifested in his past as fear aggression. This is not something we had dealt with with our previous pets, and knew that we needed to ensure against any kind of dangerous situation. We understood when we adopted Riggins we'd need to work with him on these ingrained bad habits. Shortly after we adopted him, we tried out group training sessions. It was clear the group training was for working on basic stuff, a lot of which our dog already knew. We felt the best option was to go with 1-1 training. And so glad we did. It was worth every penny. Scott gave us the tools to work with Riggins, as well as manage our expectations and learn how to deal with a variety of situations. We signed up for five training sessions with Scott, and as others mentioned in their reviews, the training started as soon as Scott entered the house. He made an immediate connection with Riggins and so amazing to see how the dog just snapped to attention for him. Such a great talent to have. Basically Scott told us we need to completely reprogram our dog. We're continuing to work on that, and probably will for the foreseeable future. But there's been a definite improvement in the way we deal with Riggins, and I see daily 'baby step' progress on walks. We've also been bike riding with Riggins, which he seems to enjoy and is great at draining his energy. The bike rides also ensure that the dog is following me, I'm in the lead and have control over the situation. So thanks to Scott for his help. We may well call him again for a tune-up, but for right now, we're putting his recommendations in place and are seeing a difference. read more

Scott is an amazing trainer. I got lucky and got 4training Sessions with him when I got my dog and it went great. Later I tried a petco training class and it was terrible. They just told my dog to sit and stay and some other tricks but he already knew how to do most of those things. I ended up buying more training with Scott. Scott has helped tremendously in rehabilitating our five-year-old​ Husky with fear aggression. Our family dog has been able to go from having no manners and constantly on defense mode (which was very stressful for him) to a happier and healthier​ husky. ​ Not a lot of trainers would have taken our case, and we even had some claim that our dog had hormonal issues when their training methods weren't working out. However, Scott took the time to observe the best way to work with our husky (as well as us), and in just a few sessions our dog's behavior was like day and night. We are still currently having sessions with him, but we are already very happy with our results so far, and every aspect of the training has been easy to understand and implement. We owe Scott the fact that we own one of the most easy-going yet high-energy and social miniature Dachshunds on the planet. Fritz was soooo little at his 10 weeks when we started training that we couldn't even find a collar for his tiny neck. While we wanted to be a cheerful audience to all of Fritz's (then) cute jumping and biting and misbehaving, Scott taught us that it's never too early to teach a dog to behave well from the start -- because even tiny puppies will eventually grow and those funny behaviors will no longer be fun and likely risky, especially if directed towards little children. We learned how to project the right energy to get the best possible behavior out of our little guy. Fritz is highly active when it's time to be energetic, but he's capable of pulling out a very calm behavior when the circumstance calls for it. We learned how to activate all of that thanks to the excellent training we received from Scott. P.S. Fritz joined his first Halloween party this year. He spent two hours in a dinosaur costume taking turns in little girls' laps during a street party here in our neighborhood. When we got home, as soon as I took his costume off he started racing around the house and played hard for about two hours with all of his toys. read more

My experience with Scott Wolffe was first class. He was always available for a session when need be and a call if I found myself needing so quick direction or feedback.
