Toni and her crew I trust and after talking to one of the ladies before my appointment, any fears I had on this being her first time was out at ease. The place has been renovated since I was last there 2 years ago and looks nicer. Prices are still very reasonable. As mentioned in my first review, the best way to get a hold of them to book an appointment is via chat on FB, but you can still phone. And just a note, when I went to pick her up she didn't even want to leave so that's always a good sign. Looking forward to many more visits with my fur baby!

I was asked upon checking in to provide vaccination records, great, I brought them - I now know that all the dogs there are up to date and my puppy is safe. The receptionist then asked if it was okay for my dog to play with the other dogs while they weren't grooming him in the play area - of course it's okay, puppy socialization, awesome! I then left and waited for my puppy's first ever groom to finish. Four hours later I got the call to come back and walked into the salon looking for little Timmie to be playing with the dozen or so other dogs that were on the floor, but no Timmie to be seen. I could hear him though, hear him barking from somewhere in the back area. The receptionist saw me and explained that YOUR dog is being kept in the back room because he was barking. (And they thought that putting him in a back room would stop the barking?) I was a little upset with this, my dog is only 5 months old and is being held in a back room because he is being a scared dog, going through his first grooming experience and is barking??? I would have rather gotten a phone call and taken home an ungroomed dog if they couldn't handle the barking rather than have a dog that is now terrified of going to a groomer. I went to pay and the total was nearly double what I was quoted on the phone. I am reasonable, I understand that it can be a bit more than the quote due to the type of hair, temperament of the dog, etc. but double the price??? Needless to say I paid it, not happily and will not be going back to Dazzling Dogs.

My 12 lb dog has been charged from 31.50-56.00 for a regular bath (price varies depending on who's ringing it up). More recently was made to pay 70 dollars for regular full grooming PLUS extra. Because of no conditioner my dog matted horribly and had to have his lovely coat shaven off two weeks ago. Which they did poorly and left his ears dirty and nails long. A buzz cut for nearly eighty dollars! The worst part is that ever since his last grooming two weeks ago my dog got FLEAS. He had over six adult fleas on him. He also had deep matting inside both his ears. Deep, waxy built up balls of hair on a dog that gets groomed every two weeks? I had to brave a blizzard to take him to the vet, cancel my work, bathe him and clean my entire house, spray all mattresses and cushions, and wash everything at home. I called them to FOREVER cancel and my vet asked me to call them again to tell them they were possibly GIVING FLEAS to dogs!! No one manager was on site. Owner is never in. They did not appear surprised. 'They will pass on the message'. No reply as of yet... I'm not holding my breath. Update: it has been over a week and no one from Dazzling Dogs has called.

I can hear the meowing in my dreams and want to stop by everyday to enjoy kitten time. This is an unassuming little place in St. Albert, but I like it! It's one of those pet stores that feels as though it's from the past because they still feel alive with pets. We don't get to St. A very often at all, but they have bomb prices in comparison to other places, so it's worth a stop in when we are in town. Case in point: the cat hammock in Petland was $54 and the cat hammock here was $23 (?!?!?!). That's an insane savings. We also got tongs for $11, and they're usually like $25 at Petland. Same brand of Exoterra Tongs too. Crazy. I also got four frozen rats for like $5 each or something? I was impressed by that price for petite rats. We're not feeding our new rescue snake live anymore and she is taking to frozen quite well, so I'm down for the savings and not having to feed live (my heart couldn't handle it). Staff is just OK. It tends to be young kids that don't really know what is going on, prices of things or information on products. They're not too interested in answering your questions so it's kind of like a fend for yourself situation. I know what I'm looking for though so it's all good. I'll be back for the prices and variety of items.

They come in a clear plastic container filled with fresh dirt and a bunch of pinkish meal worms that are happily squirming around, doing the things that meal worms do. The prices of their worms are very reasonable, and there's many different sizes as well. I still find them disgusting though, and I often feel like they are going to someone get out of the container and start crawling all over me. I haven't been to Paradise Pet Centre for much else other than the worms, but this is a really nice store that is kept very clean and organized. The staff is really helpful and nice too. I used to have a fish, so sometimes I'd browse the fish merchandise, but it's pretty expensive. I found PJ's Pets and Petcetera to be cheaper.

I took my Toy Fox Terrier dog into "Fabulous" Furballs today and had a NOT so fabulous experiance. They took her into back room where I could not see what was happening and at one point I heard her squeal like she was being abused. When they brought her out to me, the groomer acted as if nothing was wrong, that my dog had just been acting "over dramatic". It was only after paying and leaving that I saw that her paws were BLEEDING and nails BUTCHERED. Not only had they cut past the quick of her nail on SIX of her nails (which if you are a pet owner you will know is VERY painful), but my dog also had a gash on the pad of her paw that was gushing blood. I am livid! She currently CAN NOT walk on her paw where they gashed the pad and is hobbling around the house. Who knows how long this will take to heal?? To not even acknowledge from the beginning the mistake that they made and pretend as though nothing was wrong DISGUSTS me. I consider that not only torchure but cruelty to animals. Please please for the sake of your pet DO NOT bring them in there. I only hope this review prevents this from happening to someone elses pet in the future. The only reason there is one star on this review is because I can not have zero or negative stars.

The facility is also well taken care of. Puppy Training - we really enjoyed our introductory puppy training class. It was a great way to introduce our pup to new dogs, people and experiences. The instructors were very knowledgable and willing to answer all questions. They seemed genuinely interested in every family. Daycare - our puppy started out loving daycare but as time went on he was more and more hesitant to go in. I doubt this had anything to do with Sadie's but more a result of his personality and experiences changing. He was going just once a week and maybe it wasn't the right routine. The staff always assured us that he had a great time once he was in and playing. It was also nice to see him on the webcam (when it was working). Grooming - after a bad experience elsewhere, we were pleased to discover Sadie's also offers grooming. Our pup always looks good after a wash and cut. He seems to enjoy the experience (or at least not dread it ;) I still think it's crazy that I pay more at his salon than I do at my own but I'm also not prepared to start doing it myself.
