If I could give it a zero I would. Took my dog here for a 10 day board and train session as Paws in…read moreParadise was highly recommended to me. It was not only a beyond frustrating experience and I do not believe my dog was treated very well. The lack of communication from before my dog was even dropped off should have been enough to tip the scales, but with such high reviews for Monika Stuehler (the owner), I simply brushed it off. When I dropped my dog off, I wasn't able to meet Monika to discuss the issues about my dog, and I wasn't able to show the commands / hand signals that my dog did know. Half way through my dogs stay we were supposed to go in for a training session and then another session upon pickup. Monika called that morning to cancel on us and said she would be in contact to set up an appointment. Well 9 days into a 10 stay, we still hadn't heard anything. Finally at about 8pm she tells us it's a go for tomorrow. We show up the next day and Monika is not there, just someone else to give us her excuse and give our dog back. Once home with my dog I notice she has sores on her face from where a muzzle or halti would be so either they had something too tight or they were pulling on her aggressively. These wounds were wet with pus so they were fresh and easy to see. No one mentioned any of this to me, I was always told she was doing well. I have no idea what my dog was taught, if anything. I have no idea why my dog has sores on her face. I have no idea why my dog wouldn't let me pet her for two days. I have no idea why I didn't get to meet the person my dog was staying with. And when I try to reach out for someone to contact me on Facebook, my post gets deleted and who is the only admin? You guessed it, Monika. I wouldn't doubt if this post gets deleted. Do not go here. They are very unprofessional and I do not believe they treat all the dogs with respect. If I could attach pictures of how sad my dog looked on her stay, and the small area she was in with 10+ dogs next to a janitor pail and mop, I would, but I can't.

She cannot wait to go to daycare on "daycare days" and I swear she actually knows which days it is without me telling her and she sits at the back door crying to go and then races to the car. She just loves it there and everyone that works there has been so amazing to both her and me! I recommend them 100%

We've been fans of Sadie's since we took our puppy for training last summer. Since then we've used…read morethe daycare and grooming services. All of the staff are very helpful and friendly. The facility is also well taken care of. Puppy Training - we really enjoyed our introductory puppy training class. It was a great way to introduce our pup to new dogs, people and experiences. The instructors were very knowledgable and willing to answer all questions. They seemed genuinely interested in every family. Daycare - our puppy started out loving daycare but as time went on he was more and more hesitant to go in. I doubt this had anything to do with Sadie's but more a result of his personality and experiences changing. He was going just once a week and maybe it wasn't the right routine. The staff always assured us that he had a great time once he was in and playing. It was also nice to see him on the webcam (when it was working). Grooming - after a bad experience elsewhere, we were pleased to discover Sadie's also offers grooming. Our pup always looks good after a wash and cut. He seems to enjoy the experience (or at least not dread it ;) I still think it's crazy that I pay more at his salon than I do at my own but I'm also not prepared to start doing it myself.

This is a small business run since 2009 independently by Adam Jones, a certified dog trainer, who…read morebelieves that training is more effective when it's done out in the real world, facing the challenges you actually face while living with a dog inside the city. This is not a trick learning class. This is a class to enforce confidence, quick recall, strong sit/stay responsiveness, and good leash skills. It's designed to help you be the leader your dog needs, regardless of the age of your pet. We just started one of the 6 week group classes, which occur twice a week. He runs two group classes, a Monday/Thursday and a Wednesday/Saturday. I find Adam to be very responsive when i have questions regarding the training we're embarking upon. He's very fair when making sure we have enough training time vs. the weather, since it is an outdoor class. He makes each action the dogs make into a learning experience and is mutable based on the needs of the class. Come armed with plenty of patience and don't expect your work to be done when you leave. Establishing a lifetime, trusting relationship with your pup takes a lot of time, and we're putting in 2-3 hours a day with our dog outside of class. He offers private training as well as group classes. The prices feel a little high, but they're comparable to any other trainer in the city worth their salt, if not slightly cheaper. The good news is that if you feel you need a refresher course after you finish the 6 week group course, you can drop in on a class for just 10$. You can find him on facebook: https://www.facebook.com/906.DOGS/info and at his website: http://www.alldogsgreatandsmall.com/ and can email him with questions before committing. All you need is the sign up fee, time, a 6 foot leash, and a martingale collar and you'll be well on your way to improving life both on and off the leash with your dog.
