My cat ran out last week and came back with multiple injuries. During that time, I didn't know what to do but when I came to petsmart I was surprised. The staffs were very friendly and didn't mind helping me choose the best products for my cat. I bought a CatMX wound spray and sprayed it on my cat's wounds. This is the closest petsmart, so obviously I would go here first. The first time I took my Golden Retriever he got his nails clipped, smoothed. He smelled so nice after. But the second time I made an appointment to bathe him (o made it online). It turns out the only girl who was going to work had called out. No one contacted me before. So my husband went for nothing. I normally take my dog to pet smart in Pasadena for the grooming but since this one is closer to my home decided to try it out. Big mistake KELLY was my dog groomer that day dropped him off he had to be shaved very short due to he had knots in his hair so when I picked him up KELLY went over with me what she did with my dog and also showed me that he had these lumps on his ears she said she thought he had a hematoma due to nats on his hair which I found odd cause I never noticed them before so went home and decided to take a closer look and found out he had blood both of his ears she cut him both his ears where swollen from the cuts she made she lied to me and try to blame it on the nats. I love Petsmart and when I saw one near my parent's house, I was super excited. My mom wanted to adopt a cat and when we came, the manager said that he couldn't help me because they're short staff. So, I could have adopted a cat, pay the $120 fee, but we couldn't add a new addition to the family because they had no one to help us. I guess we'll just catch a stray for free. read more

I tried to exchange an opened food that was more than 95% full and they said I couldn't exchange the food for a different food because the food has been opened? It's smaller than the one closest to me but I was in the area and my friend was dogsitting and wanted to get treats for her dog. I on the other hand was really interested in buying a fish for some pet therapy (my place doesn't allow dogs or cats). Upon entering, we were greeted by the girl at the register who was very polite. When we went through the fish section, I was approached by the manager there and he was really knowledgeable. He helped me understand proper fishcare--feeding, lighting, pH balance, etc. My experience here was very fulfilling and I'll definitely be coming back. read more

Excellent customer service! Josh helped my mother and I find exactly what we were looking for. We needed a new filter for our turtles tank and Josh helped us with everything. He was knowledgeable and kind. He also helped us find the right dog food. Everything worked out great and we even saved money! We had gone to PetCo and bought a filter that was missing parts and we had to return it and decided to come by PetSmart. Good call on our part and great customer service from Josh. this review is strictly based on layout and cleanliness of the store because i have not taken my pet here for grooming due to all the grooming warnings (i do not want my doggy to get a cut and infection after). I do come here to purchase doggy food, leashes, toys and treats though. everytime i come, the store is always clean, doesn't smell bad, the floors don't have doggy mistakes on them, and it's fairly easy to find your way around to each section. if you need help, the service is usually pretty helpful and gives you advices on what you're looking for. the cashiers are always greeting me with a smile when checking out. so far nothing to complain about! read more

Worst customer service I have ever gotten from any Petsmart! I drove all the way to this location even though it wasn't my closest location because they usually have live comet fish while other closer places (Alhambra and Pasadena) were always sold out when I went there. The sale associate who helped me was very nice, I had to wait for her to serve another customer even though I was already at the fish tanks for awhile. Then she asked if I had any preferences for the color or if it didn't matter. She helped me getting the fish when a guy either the manager or assistant manager came up to me saying that the associate shouldn't be spending so much time helping me choose for fish that are feeders and that I should just tell the associate the number I wanted and she would catch them. He even asked me if I know what are feeders....so according to this guy comet fish sold at Petsmart are not for aquariums, but to feed other creatures! I have been buying fish for years and the associates ALWAYS helped me choose which fish I wanted! Maybe there were other customers who needed help, but I also waited for awhile for my turn! If you don't want to be treated badly because you are buying cheap comet fish and not the expensive $30 ones, go to another location! Will never go to this location again!! read more

My sons and I went about 2 weeks ago to buy fish for our tank we had our tank running for about 8 months we had 3 fish inside already that we had for 3 years we bought them from petco. Anyways so we bought 2 white tetras, 2 zebra tetras, a glow tetra and a sucker fish. So we get home put the bag in our tank so they get use to the temperature of the water we released them after 10 mins. The Next day glow fish died, then day after white tetras, day after zebra tetras the 4th day our 2 fish we had for 3 years which was an angel fish and red tail shark died. Finally 5th day our golden killifish died and the sucker fish my sons were so sad that our fish died that we had for so long.. now we have no fish. I been with fish tanks since I was small I always maintain the tanks very well I should of went with my gut feeling n not bought any fish from this store some of there tanks had dead fish just floating around I know one if those fish had a illness so beware from buying fish here u will just waste your money.. read more

I've visited so many pet shops but this place really topped them all! I felt so welcomed by the friendly and energetic cashier. I came on a busy Saturday and the Manager, Justin, was hustling back and forth and in between customers helping everyone out. I had pretty complicated questions as to what my highly sensitive dog should eat and Justin was just on point with his advises. He was so passionate about the health and care of my dog. It's been about 2 weeks and my dog has shown signs of massive improvement (including no more sudden vomiting), I couldn't be happier! Definitely my go-to place from now on! read more

Unfortunately, I had a pretty bad encounter with one of the people working at this Petsmart. They sold me a VERY expensive humane harness for my dog, touting that it was top of the line. I get home and my dog chews through it in literally 10 minutes, like tissue paper. I call to tell them I will be returning the product and they tell me they will not accept the return. They said the product was not defective. Not only was the product defective, but a potential endangerment to the dog. A dog should not be able to bit through a harness in minutes. The women started patronizing me and being incredibly rude over the phone. I will never return to this store, which is a shame for them. I have four pets and was a very valuable customer. If you can go to another store, I'd recommend it. read more

Jeff was very apologetic and helpful with trying to figure out the Cesars special promo today. Josh on the other hand, was not. He was rude and very disrespectful. I was at the Petsmart location at the Rosemead Plaza on Rosemead Blvd for the $7 off T-Mobile Tuesday. The Cesars promo labled on the shelf was Buy 15, Get 15. However, it turns out the promo was meant to be read as Buy 15, Get 15 for $10. Josh immediately got defensive and straight said he wasn't going to waste his time and call corporate about this promo. The only thing I said was that the promo was misleading and he went off to say he's not going to call corporate when we didn't even mention anything about corporate. He didn't even try to apologize for the inconvenience or the fact that we were waiting in an hour line hoping we were getting a great deal on the Cesars. As frustrated as Josh already was due to the long line and customers he had to help today, he had no right to disrespect me, a customer. I also wasted my time in line and you weren't the only one who had a long day at work. It doesn't give Josh the right to disrespect anyone. He helped my wife and I ring up our Puppy Cesars and Pedigree Dental Chewy bites. We were here for the $7 off T-Mobile Tuesday. We were excited to purchase 30 Cesars and get 30 free per the special promotion sticker on the shelf - Buy 15, Get 15. However, we waited an hour in line just to be disrespected by Josh - not sure if he's a manager. Jeff knows exactly who we're talking about because we expressed how rude and disrespectful Josh was. It turns out the special was not buy 15, get 15. The special was definitely misleading as I heard from Princess who also works here that there were also customers this morning who had issues with the Cesar special promo. Instead of apologizing for the inconvenience or the fact that this promo was misleading, Josh spoke as if it is what it is and he literally said he's not going to WASTE his time and call corporate about it. Those were his exact words. We weren't asking for Josh to call corporate! We were clearly upset about the misleading promo. How rude of Josh to disrespect Petsmart's customers in the face. By the way Josh, us as customers also wasted our time in line for an hour thinking we're going to get a great deal on the Cesar items only to be disrespected and disappointed! Jeff himself even brought the promo sticker up to the front and couldn't figure out why the buy 15 get 15 wouldn't come up on the register. In the end, we gave up 50 Cesars and purchased only 10 Cesars and the Pedigree Dental Chewy Bites so that we can get $7 off. Thank you again JEFF and PRINCESS from the Rosemead Plaza location on Rosemead Blvd. No thank you to the disrespectful JOSH! Just because you're frustrated the fact that you have to deal with so many customers today due to the T-Mobile Tuesday promo, why don't you CALL CORPORATE ABOUT THAT so that you don't have to get so frustrated at doing your JOB. Love this Petsmart! The ladies at the grooming salon are great and the manager, Justin is very kind. I always take my dog here for grooming and they do a good job at cleaning him up and making him look extra pretty. I've brought my dog here many times and Jessica has always done a great job grooming her. She always takes great care of the dogs and is always super helpful. In response to the review saying she gave a dog razor burn, there is no way that could be from razor burn. The groomers are always careful not to burn the dogs and I haven't had any issues with that with Jessica before. read more

Customer service was GREAT!! After adopting my new furry kitten I made a stop to this location before going home. Since I lost my 18 yr old cat 2 years ago I was really Nervous and anxious about bringing home a new kitten.... I came inside this location holding my new adopted baby not knowing anything about all new food and gadgets that have come out in the past 2 years. I was welcomed and greeted right away. I explained to the employee that I just adopted the kitten. She thanked me for adopting and told me all about the Adoption kit petsmart offers. She held my baby kitten for me as I pushed the cart and walked me through all the kitten Isles and recommended everything I needed for my new baby. Recommend the best kitten food, toys, collar, bath soap, hair brush etc... during my transaction they used all my coupons that came inside my adoption kit. All the employees helped me out so much and I'm so Thankful you made such a nervous time for me so much more easier!! I didn't get the employees names but I went in June 11th 2019 if that helps. After reading reviews I thought I give this place a chance. I been to other petsmart location like Pasadena and Alhambra. I had decent experience not the best but ok. Came to this location since my dog needed a bath. I have two shih tze which their hair was already short but I wanted their hair to be really short. I told the groomer what I wanted and she said do you want it that short because it wouldn't look good. I told the groomer it just easier for my dogs in the long run to have short hair because of allergies. She told me she would give them a trim .5 inch short all around. My dogs came out afterwards looking the same. They look cleaner but the hair length looks the same. I told her I was not satisfied with the cut. She said sorry but I told you what I was going to do. The face was fine but if Im not satisfied with the cut shouldn't you listen to what the customer is telling you. Anyways, I ended up paying $90 for two of my dogs. They look the same. Looks like I have to pay someone else extra money to cut it the way I want it now. The groomer wasn't horrible but hey if it takes you three hours to take care of two dogs then I expect them to look different. The fact that they look the same I wonder if she even gave my dog a trim. The other thing was when i got my dog back their hair was still wet as in the groomer did not completely blow dry them. I had to take them back home and hair dry them myself. Never coming back again because the prices are pretty expensive for what they do and they don't know what their doing. read more

Never wrote a review, but the customer service here is out of this world. The workers are really friendly and always there to help you. I have two bearded dragons and it was great to see one of the managers, Justin, have one of his own. It was great seeing him quiz me on how to care for them and whip out his phone to show me pictures of his beardie, because it showed me how much he truely cared for these animals.
