Brought my new dog in for a grooming. it was about to pour so I ran in and asked if there was any chance she was almost done so I could get her in the car before the rain started. The groomer understood and got working on her final brush out. Just as she was walking her to me it started pouring. The grooming staff was so amazing, they had me pull my car on the curb and and walked her to the front. My dog was not loving the rain so the amazing lady picked up my 50 pound dog and ran her out to the car with me so she wouldn't ruin her fresh grooming. Me and the groomer got soaked but the pup was dry!! With the grooming u chose it came with a free toy. Mykaela is phenomenal!!! I have shopped here a few times and had good experiences, but we went in recently and had the best experience I've ever had in a PetSmart. I want to sing her praises because she was just so fantastic with my kids. They have a lot of energy and are very interested in all the animals and while she was working they asked her a million questions and she had the best attitude and answered their questions and was so patient and friendly with them. She was super knowledgeable about the animals and would respond with "that's a great question" enthusiastically every single time. It really made my kids' day. It was a great experience for them! She had beautiful, straight ears, and when I picked her up, it looked like a two-year-old took scissors and cut off her ears! I'm so upset and beside myself. Got there at 6:30 to get my dogs nails trimmed and the lady said oh we close in 5 minutes you'll have to come back tomorrow. 1) closing in 5 minutes doesn't mean your closed. I get I came in late but Google says you're open till 9. 2) my dog is small and easy to work with and I only needed his front nails trimmed so it would've taken less than 5 minutes 3) on what earth does a store close at 6:35?? Do not come to this Pet Smart the Assistant Manger and Manager are so rude!!! They sold me a product for fleas. And it did not work. And I talked to another associate and they are getting rid of the brand entirely bc it does not work and has bad reviews. They would not return my products and didn't even want to return the unopened one. Drive down the street to the PetSmart In Frisco they were so nice and returned it no hassle after the one in Prosper told me I could not return it! If it's "pet smart" policy to not return a product that doesn't work why would they allow it at a different location. Staff was nice, not the most knowledgeable about what we needed, but they helped the best that they could. 0/5 if I could. DO NOT COME HERE. This place never wants to help me and my husband we've had so many issues with products from their petsmart and tried to return it and they refuse to help. They also, didn't want to accept an unopened tank that we had. & it's clear as day they are RACIST to us every single one of their workers Travis, the old lady with grey hair and the middle aged woman with glasses and short hair. They greet all the caucasians that walk in and walk out but never greet us or have a smile on their face they just shove us away every single time. We are never going back to this location despite it being very close to our house. We've bought so many things from petsmart numerous of times and never had an issue until we came to this location. Don't waste your time go elsewhere! They don't care about people or their pets. Every time we come in here their bearded dragons have feces all over their tank and we have to continuously tell them to clean it. Now we're just going to report them for negligence. I shop at this PetSmart because it is the closest and most convenient. The workers are always friendly, but there is often expired product on the shelves. Most of the time I've been able to catch it, but I bought this product a month ago and just saw that it was months past the sell by date when purchased. I have left without dog food before because all of the bags of the brand I wanted were expired. Someone needs to be checking these expiration dates on a regular basis as dog food of any kind is not cheap and this could be harmful to our pets! If this just happened once or twice I would let it slide, but this seems to be an ongoing problem that needs to be addressed. Very poor experience at Gates if Prosper Petsmart in Grooming. Arrived late and girl at front counter said she left me a Voicemail that she couldn't take us past 2:15. Phew, thank goodness and I apologize again for my delay and not being able to answer my phone. Then she says "we'll I can't take you bc it's 2:18". I thought she was joking but she wasn't. Three minutes? I told her "feel free to cut my xtra services I chose so I could still get her bathed and cut at minimum". She said "no we can't she bites at the air on the blow dryer". What? So you accepted my appointment apparently knowing that was an issue for you, and have time to do just a bath and brush but you won't take me because three minutes? "We'll no it's because she bites at the air in the blow dryer so it takes longer." I remind her that the extra half hour to 45 m of services I scheduled can be dropped to make enough time so I don't impact their other appointments. So she goes to ask Manager, who was also a treat, and she too says the part about 3 minutes and her biting at the air of the blow dryer. I reiterated again I can cancel all other services and so there is plenty of time. She closes with " well yeah but you were 3 m past what she told you she could do". I feel like O was in a SNL skit, I sware! Manager of Grooming on Friday at 2:15 pm was Tiffany and other girl- majorly rude and not someone who should be at a customer service front counter was with. I saw a bunch of negative reviews online but my dog was way overdue for a nail trim and it just needed to get done. I thought walk-ins were a thing but they required an appointment when I arrived. They were able to sneak us in between appointments to get my dogs nails trimmed and they even cleaned up the hair on the bottom of his feet. I waited all of 15min. Everyone working at the time was extremely friendly and professional. If I ever need a trim between grooming, I would certainly come back here. read more

We have been bringing our dog here since he was a puppy..:not only do they have a terrible culture with high turnover that causes you to schedule weeks in advance but today I went in after calling yesterday to schedule a nail trim and teeth brushing and they said we do not have anyone that can assist you right now...come back in an hour. I'm like well I spoke to Olivia and she said bring him in ANYTIME and she will handle it, do you understand that people in prosper run businesses and it takes their time to schedule it the right way only to be told just bring him in and then to drive during my only gap in scheduling only to be asked to come back? Maybe if you operate in any area let alone a lucrative one you should elevate your employees experience so they stop quitting. I made an appt for my dog to be groomed (bath and sanitary trim) at 2pm. They said it was a 2-3 hour turn around time. I said ok. After 2.5 hours I went in to check the status, they said it will be another 1-1.5 hours then emphasized it's a 2-3 hour TAT. I said ok but you realize I brought her in at 2, so right now we are 2.5 hours and you're saying another 1-1.5 which will be over the 3 hour max. At 3 hours almost to the for they called to let me know my dog was ready. I realized later that night she was not trimmed at ALL, her paws and booty. I called the next am and spoke to salon manager, she said bring her in anytime and we will trim her. I brought my dog back that day, I explained nothing was trimmed and I said the face, paws, booty. She said face is extra $10. To me this should've been comped because nothing was done the day before. I paid the $10. I also looked it up and for $3 more I could've had a full trim but no one even mentioned that when I checked her in. I'm not even sure my dogs teeth got brushed since they never trimmed her. read more

I am absolutely appalled to say the least. I have had positive experiences at the other PetSmart in frisco. However - this was NOT good and I will not be going back. Im this is regarding the grooming center. My 6 month puppy had just a basic wash appointment scheduled for 12:30. We arrived on time and I was quoted about 2 hours. It seemed a little lengthy but the groomer who took him to either was having a bad day or just is in the wrong industry. Her attitude was lacked to be desired for sure. I hadn't heard from the salon so I decided to come in at 3:45, giving that extra hour just incase maybe they were overloaded. I was greeted with annoyance again, was told she would call me. I left, gave it another hour and called this time. She told me atleast another 45 minutes. I picked my puppy up at 6:00pm. 5 1/2 hours is too long for a young puppy to be locked in a kennel waiting for a simple bath and blow dry. And on top of that his mouth still was very dirty upon pick up! (Note the picture). If they didn't have time I would rather have been given the courtesy to reschedule for another day. In the end I paid over $50 for this terrible experience (im sure it was for my dog, too). She did mention a "complimentary nail trim for taking so long" but what I paid for comes in the package. I wanted to get a specific type of dog food and I noticed him in the dog food aisle and I asked him if he had that specific dog food and he gave me a stank look and said "what?" and then I asked again and I told him it was a Veterinary type of dog food and his response was "no we don't have anything Veterinary" and that was it. he didn't ask if he could help me find anything else he was just rude. to the man that was rude to me in the store I hope you're seeing this and I hope you have a better day so that you're not rude people that you don't even know or have done anything to you to make you behave that way. I took my dog for a hair cut and bath and they didn't give her a bath. They alleged that I had not asked for a shampoo with fragrance and that if I wanted to they could spray some perfume on her. Really?! Like I don't my dog. The only thing they did was cut her hair because they didn't even brush her hair after the cut, when I picked her up, she still had traces of hair. Incredible how they lie to you without realizing that most of us who have dogs know our pets very well. This is the most inconsistent groomer. Natalie quit in the middle of grooming our dog. only two feet were clipped and she has a rat tail behind her butt. She was instructed to only shave under our dog's chin where the matting was but instead shaved her whole body and called to say she couldn't get the matting. Therefore, we got a half shaven dog, with two feet full of hair, and told we need to take her elsewhere to finish. When confronted went to get the manager, told him she wouldn't finish and wouldn't come out to explain. We asked for the same groomer as last time and found out she wasn't there along with another groomer so we get what we get. read more

Pinnacle of misinformed, breed prejudice and hypocrites- made an appointment for my rescued ( do you not say you are supporters of rescue/ adoption) Rottweiler to get her nails trimmed. Called ahead and said "She has been with us 4 months and we will have her on muzzle" okay they said. Then they refused service - Educate yourself - a muzzle is used for her protection as much as yours , smart owners take precautions with their dogs , it's a basket muzzle and she can be on it according to vets and the AKC for up to 8 hours. She is not Muzzled at home and was only on it for 2 minute before she arrived for a ten minute nail clip. And you say you love adopted pets- Responsible owners take precautions, and those steps show how much we love our pets. read more

Grooming appointment not good. Customers are not told they will need to drop their dog off for 4 hours for a nail trim and bath. According to the rude manager/groomer at the check-in counter, this is something the customer should know or assume. We, however, did not know this as we had not taken our dog to Pet Smart before and we had made an appointment. After my husband waited an hour for our dog to be taken care of, and not being told of a 4 hour wait, he asked what had been done so far - nothing had been done for our dog. They just put him in a kennel and could not say when they were going to work on him. Since it had already been an hour, my husband just asked them to trim his nails, no bath. Also, all of the information we provided over the phone to set the appointment had to be provided a second time when my husband arrived because they didn't write it down or enter it into their system. Good location but they're always short-staffed......that's an especially dumb move on a Saturday, given the growth and consequent demand in the immediate area. They also don't keep a good selection of their own Authority line, specifically the flaked wet food for cats. The majority of their options are pate and pate only. Hey Petsmart - did it ever cross your mind that not all cat owners feed their cats pate form?? Or that some cats simply won't eat it because it gives some cats upset stomach and diarrhea? Pay attention to your stock and what sells out quickly, it's called supply and demand. Feeding flaked fish only is unhealthy, so why is it that's the only flaked option you ever have?? Order more flaked turkey and chicken, that's the only thing my cats eat yet you NEVER have it in stock! Common sense, people. We were told to arrive about 15 minutes early for our puppy's first grooming appointment to check shot records, etc. My husband took our dog during his lunch hour from work, and arrived 20 minutes before our scheduled appointment time (5 minutes early). The grooming department was extremely rude and passive aggressive, and refused to see our dog until the exact scheduled time (even though we were told to arrive early), "due to Covid". I have been taking my pups to PetSmart grooming since I've had them (2years) and have had a fantastic experience. Now we moved and started going to the prosper location and are incredibly disappointed. My 9lb dog has multiple cuts a burns from the razor. My 80lb dog they changed the breed of to try to charge me $30 more than I ever have and did not shave the paw pads like I confirmed they would when dropping off. I never get to meet the actual groomer because someone else always brings out so I can't form any relationship or hear an update. I'm incredibly disappointed and will be looking for somewhere else to go from now on. read more

However, they refused to return the deposit because of a single piece of hair stuck to the bottom. Claimed the $30 deposit was being kept now for a cleaning fee.
