Four stars but definitely a five star location. To anyone reading this review, I hope it serves you well. I recently became the owner of a new 6 week old puppy. Although it is amazing, it also is super scary. I know absolutely nothing about raising a dog. I happened to go this location because of commercials and I was so embarrassed to ask all the questions that I had, but the staff was very helpful and informative. They have services for people like me that are offered. I also purchased a coupon book to help with the costs of pet items. I was a tad bit overwhelmed with all of the choices for foods and didnt know the do's and donts. Thankfully the staff knew basically enough to help. I recommend you do research on your animal before going there unlike me but be prepared to spend money and try to get everything you need in one shot. I would've loved it if they provided a sort of recommended item listing for new pet owners like me. read more

We are new to the area and I've seen quite a few bad reviews on this Petsmart's Banfield and grooming. I went into the grooming salon today to get a nail grind for my lab. No appointment. They were busy but they squeezed me in and did a great job in less than 10 min. The store in general is a really nice one. So far so good Orlando! read more

I have taken my pom, Penny, all over Orlando for her haircuts - boutique places and chains. Petsmart grooming on Colonial is consistently the best and does exactly what I ask for. They communicate well, are reasonably priced, and make good recommendations and usually have same-day availability. Tameka and Courtney are AWESOME. Ask for one of them :) read more

Do not take your pet to the 3232 E Colonial BANFIELD location, shame on PET SMART for allowing these butchers to work. Their butcher, aka Dr.STIELV, is incompetent and doesn't deserve a medical license. What was to be a 1 inch incision turned into a 6 inch thriller gash that ended up needing another emergency surgery to repair their mess. I FINALLY get to talk to their area Director, Dr Vandicor (I'm not too sure on the spelling) she calls me with such excitement and glee in her tone to inform me that all Barfield can offer is an apology. I've spent 7 days at home nursing my baby back to health. I've spent over $100 on medical bandages and tapes because they dont provide the proper bandages for your pet! !!!!! I thought the wellness program would make things easy.... I've only put my babies life in danger. Find a local Dr and DO NOT take your pet here. My attorney advised, and I looked it up, they have NUMEROUS under the table dealings for malpractice. Look for our story on the news, I have recorded conversations of admittance to neglect and lack of responsibility. I'm not looking to get rich I'm looking to stop these monsters from employing uneducated, and inexperienced doctors. PetSmart - Botched spay surgery! - Pet Training Near Me - Orlando, Florida

Gotta admit I used go here a lot. However a few not so great experiences have sent me running to the local "mom & pop" type pet stores. The staff on the floor (not the vet or groomer side mind you) are purely sales clerks. By which I mean they are young adults (teens, kids, whippersnappers) with little to no experience on what to recommend to aid you in your quest for specific pet needs...So don't waste your time asking them. They are drones who stock shelves & run cash registers. Next, I bought frozen mice for my reptile which had expired! And they would not replace it or refund it. Also makes me think they might not be rotating stock in that little freezer. Last and worst, the Rescue by Judy adoption they do in house its a fraud of the worst sort. Adopted two cats, they pulled a bait and switch! The cats my family fell in love with WERE NOT the cats we recieved after the fees & paperwork. They were the same COLOR but one was not even the original GENDER. Did they really think we wouldn't notice?!? read more

I go to this petsmart since i like it better than the nearby Petco. The building is nicer and cleaner, and the prices seem a bit cheaper. When we first got our puppie we went to two levels of training at another petsmart and it was very good, and a very good value for the money. We don't use the grooming or vet services here and can't comment or rate them. read more

BUYER BEWARE Petsmart has a company policy (that they're suddenly enforcing) where mobile competitor coupons are not accepted and you are required to provide a printed copy. I've previously had several mobile competitor coupons accepted so I was surprised today to have mine turned down by the manager. Customer service note: provide loyal customer with discount since caught off guard by your inconsistent "policy" and tell them they need to print them in the future, rather than just turning them down! read more

Just had my dog groomed for the first time. READ the fine print!! What I thought was $22 ended up being $93!!!! Staff and manager were extremely rude! Don't mind the cost...care about the way they conduct their business! Bait and switch!!! Be careful!!!! read more

We had been looking for about an hour in the store at the cats, hamsters and other animals. Then we proceeded to look at the fish. It was close to closing and it seems like the young lady did not want to help. No smile, very dry answers to me. I wanted to get my nine year old a 17 cent goldfish. The lady asked what we would put it in. I said a bowl, and she said I needed a 30 gallon tank.......FOR A 17 CENTS GOLDFISH! She then proceeded to tell me we were better off with a Betta fish for a bowl. BUT DID SHE WALK OVER WITH US? DID SHE EXPLAIN ANYTHING AS TO WHY YOU NEED 30 GALLONS FOR A LITTLE REGULAR GOLDFISH???!!!!! I also work in customer service and deal with people all day. I've had my rough days, so I will excuse her, but this particular store will NOT see my money. I will go to Petland or Pet Supermarket before I buy a fish here. We have only purchased dog food and other dog supplies at this store, something that really a store such as this would only be good for. Everything is reasonably priced, and an initial price compare on a few items have proven them to be cheaper than at their closest competitor, Petco. It's a relatively large store and they have a complete stock of anything you might need for your pet. It was also amusing to us that one of the staffers knew what "puppy crack" was. If you don't, it's quite magical for training purposes. We will most likely never take advantage of their grooming, vet, or training services as we already have our preferred places for those, but they do have them available at this store. They also do adoption events for cats and dogs at a frequency, so if you're looking to adopt (good for you!), the folks from A New Beginning are usually here (unless they've changed since). read more

My favorite Petsmart in town. I went in here to get Authority brand food for my cats. I have a diabetic cat that can only way grain free so when I couldn't find my usual food in a 25lb bag, I was bummed. I was just gonna try elsewhere but they were very willing to help by going in the back and looking for a bag. They couldn't find the size I needed so instead they let me get three small 15lb Grain Free's for the price of the 15 pound regular Authority, basically saving me about $10. The girls were super kind and understanding and they really went out of their way to help. Me and my cats give our sincerest thanks. :) read more

PetSmart is clean and the staff are very helpful, caring and attentive. I've walked in without an appointment to get my pugs nails done and twice they made her bleed. I've never experienced such problems at other groomers, one time when i went in the staff handled her so abruptly that she got nervous and a few minutes later was returned to me with her nails not done and i was told that next time i needed to drug her before i brought her in again as she is too anxious about her nails being done. To say the least i won't be returning to PetSmart grooming with my pug. But I will continue to come in to purchase my pet products there. read more

Cannot make enough positive comments about the staff at this store! Every employee has greeted me with a smile and offered assistance every time I have stepped foot into this location! It is remarkable to see employees of a large corporate company have pride for their jobs and customer service. I have recently moved and still drive out of my way to go to this particular store! I also am so impressed with the veterinary staff and the veterinarian Dr. Chung Yu at the banfield pet hospital at this location. Dr. Yu was extremely helpful and his calm demeanor really helped my fiancée and I understand our elderly dogs condition when she was ill. Dr. Yu and his staff are absolutely wonderful, and the work that they all do deserves recognition. They're always out of the Science diet sensitive skin and stomach wet food for dogs. When I asked why they're constantly out of it they told me because they sell a lot of it. If you sell A lot of something, shouldn't you up your inventory counts. read more

I do not like this petsmart. I mean I come here to buy dog food or staples like that, but we had a terrible experience with their grooming service. We were in the store on a Friday night and made an appointment for our dog to be groomed the following day at 10am. I watched the lady write it down and get all the info. She was very nice and helpful, however the next day at 10 when we brought him in for grooming, she was not there. Another guy was there and said that our appointment had been moved from 10 to 12 for whatever reason, but they took him anyway and said that they would work it out. His groomer wasn't available for us to talk to so we left him, even though we felt a little uneasy. When I got home, I called to talk to the groomer because I wanted to double check on how she planned to groom him. She basically seemed to have no clue what she was talking about. In the end I told them that I changed my mind and went and picked him up. I would never go to this store for grooming, they are incompetent and unorganized. This is really sad because the store in Altamonte always did an awesome job with him. I guess its off to find another groomer. read more

So they had the prescription dog food that I needed, which I called earlier to check on. I had a prescription from my vet, and when I got there...they wouldn't sell it to me. Even though my prescription was legit, it wasn't from THEIR vet (Banfield), which was closed (after 7pm). So my puppy was you-know-what out of luck. Unbelievable. Poor customer service! I went into this store for a few last minute purchases. I made it to check out on what I considered to be a slow evening. The service was terrible. To add insult to injury, it was the store manager that conducted the transaction. The entire experience entailed numerous interruptions in which she answered the phone, had a conversation with 2 other employees, answered questions from the customer behind me, and spoke with a customer just entering the building. At no point did she acknowledge me nor did she apologize for all the many, many interruptions. Excuse me for attempting to shop at your store! read more

My experience with the grooming department was to say the least unacceptable. I have made appointments for my four dogs this morning and two had their shots last Saturday Feb 5. We tried to make the appointment on the 6th but were told we would have to wait a week. So we made the appointment for the 13th. We we arrived we discovered we had left the papers at home. I offered to go a get the papers but they said we had to take the dogs with us. Why would I offer to go get the papers if the dogs had not had their shots. I don't deal with anyone who does not trust me. Needless to say I will not be back. If this is how you run your business then I suggest you shut it down. I understand the need too protect your other clients but not trusting customers is certainly not the type of customer service I expect. The three groomers on staff this morning had no compassion for our situation. The job they did on our last visit was fine which is why we decided to pay the extra and bring them back. the vets office is pretty good, a little slow in response sometimes but thats banfield not petsmart. the grooming salon is pretty good, there is one groomer in particular (her name escapes me) that is great. they always go over every little detail so make sure he looks how i think he should from his ear hair length to his beard. i love it! i went by one time randomly so check on him and she was sitting in the table with him in his lap craddling him like a baby while she cut his nails! this may sound silly to some but to me i was highly pleased because he's very spoiled and he gets very scared and worked up if he feels he's being pinned down so for her to take the extra step to keep him calm and relaxed was a great sight. the staff are always friendly and helpful. the trainer there has talk to me many times answering questions and offering great advice which always seems to help me a great deal. even though petco is a little closer to home then petsmart i still choose petsmart because my little guy and i are always well taken care of. read more
