It was their first time being at a resort but they didn't have any tear stains and probably had a great time running around. Hitchhiker seeds were a pain to pull out between their paws. For the boarding, I let them know about the outdoor allergies (again) and about the hitchhikers...picked them up and there were no seeds on them! I was even sent pictures during their time there. My dogs were pooped when they got home. Happy they got to run around and get cuddles while I was away! Took off one star because they can be hard to get ahold of over the phone and the mailbox is full and the hitchhiker seeds.

I make the drive from St Pete to Orlando because this is the only place I completely trust with my dogs. In July of 2024 I decided to make the training investement with both. I knew the mad skills and talents that Lexi & Tai have with dogs and both of mine needed the professional assistance. I enrolled them both together. Archie, is an incredibly stubborn 6 year old husky and Pongo is my overly excited, talking 10 month old Husky. They blend well together but they are not everyone's cup of tea! I trusted these two and their team and they did wonders with compassion, patience and professionalism! My dogs are the core of my world, so as most dog owners I worry how others treat my dogs when away. Lexi would touch in almost everyday, she communicated reports with honesty on progress & she let me know when a post of their training was hitting the social so I could feel better being apart. Recently, when I had to evacuate from St Pete during both of these recent hurricanes to Orlando, the team took them right in and explained to me the precautions and procedures they would be taking with them. This team even stayed overnight during the storms! Talk about going the extra mile. Lexi is amazing at communication and I still ask her questions about training because it's an everyday practice here with my two! Tai radiates love when he talks to the dogs. The staff is very professional, clean, organized and educates you on the different packages/pricing & knows your dog! Also they take great photography of the dogs! (photo of the work added!) Bottom line, if you found this facility and you If you love your dog(s) you struck gold!! I have been bringing them since they opened their doors and I will be loyal to this team forever. The inside has playful decorations and front desk person was very nice and patient with us. They have the option to monitor your pup on video for an upcharge. I didn't do it but loved the option. This place was nice and clean and didn't smell bad at all which was a great sign for me. They even sent us a cute photo of him during his stay so it was nice to know he was being taken care of. For some reason, the exact entrance was hard to find using my GPS but after driving around the plaza we figured it out. Definitely give them a shot!!

It is now February 14th, and my dog still has Kennel Cough. I would recommend avoiding this place, as it's clear that they don't adequately clean their facility. Update (2/20) after taking my dog Brody to the vet for a second time, It's been confirmed that he still has kennel cough and more intensive treatments are needed for his recovery. Although Land of Dogz would like to deny that Brody caught Kennel cough from their facility, The truth of the matter remains that Brody had no symptoms when I dropped him off, and did have symptoms when I picked him up. Although Brody was in independent play the entire time, Kennel cough can remain on surfaces that haven't been adequately cleaned. I've spent over $500 getting this addressed, and Land of Dogz is unwilling to take any responsibility. I would like to warn potential customers that they're taking a risk If they decide to drop off their dog at Land of Dogz. Update (10/24) My dog is STILL sick from the illness caught at Land of Dogz. I'm considering legal action. For the love of god, do NOT take your dog here if you love them. They put on a convincing image of being a good business, but my experience has been horrendous with them.

My dog wasn't understanding cues from other dogs that they were tired and not interested in playing. So rather than help her understand the cues and work with her they just stuck her in a crate. This created more anxiety because she didn't understand that this was not punishment. I would continually get calls saying she got in a scuffle and was the dog always blamed. Yet when watching the webcam I saw instances of favoritism, not enough training for the staff and too large of a dog to people ratio. Every time I went to pick my dog up she was anxious and the front desk staff had nothing nice to say about her. I was finally told after her last visit that she is dismissed from the center because she is poorly behaved. The manager never met with me face to face but only called me. My dog has earned her AKC canine good citizen award and is working on her community level award. If she is experiencing anxiety due to the sounds and smells that is not her fault.

She was nervous around the other dogs during her temperament evaluation but they were so patient with her and kept me updated throughout the day. It's clear that they love the dogs and the dogs come first. I've taken her a few times now for daycare (they recommended starting her off slowly which was appreciated) and she loves it. She has blossomed socially and gained confidence around other dogs. The facility is clean and smells amazing, and they have an easy online booking system with all of her information saved. She stayed for a long weekend and I was kept updated and didn't need to worry about her safety at all. They had plenty of videos of her playing on Instagram and I knew she was safe and having fun. She was anxious in her room at night so they made adjustments to her sleeping arrangements to accommodate her anxiety which I couldn't possibly have appreciated more. They were so patient with her and didn't act annoyed by her anxiety at all even though I can imagine she was a lot of work. I received helpful feedback when picking her up and now I know what to work on with her. I would recommend Winter Park Paws to anyone!
