The meet and greet was wonderful and everyone loved on my dog. After that it was downhill from there. My dog wasn't understanding cues from other dogs that they were tired and not interested in playing. So rather than help her understand the cues and work with her they just stuck her in a crate. This created more anxiety because she didn't understand that this was not punishment. I would continually get calls saying she got in a scuffle and was the dog always blamed. Yet when watching the webcam I saw instances of favoritism, not enough training for the staff and too large of a dog to people ratio. Every time I went to pick my dog up she was anxious and the front desk staff had nothing nice to say about her. I was finally told after her last visit that she is dismissed from the center because she is poorly behaved. The manager never met with me face to face but only called me. My dog has earned her AKC canine good citizen award and is working on her community level award. If she is experiencing anxiety due to the sounds and smells that is not her fault. read more

We LOVE dogtopia!! I've been sending my pup there once a week for over a year now. They are AMAZING! I love the monthly calendar with daily activities that is created. I really did love this place and do think the staff is friendly! My only turn off and reason I won't be back is that it was my dogs first time and no one noticed wether or not she went potty and I wasn't made aware wether or not she did eat all her food or if she slept during the two hour period that they turn off the cameras. Also if they are sleeping and eating why are we not able to still watch them? They assumed she ate all her food because no other bag was left next to her treats that I left with them. And they had switched staff so I guess no communication? I do understand it's 1 person against 15 dogs but if one is brand new shouldn't those behaviors be noticed? As soon as I picked her up she wanted water ... then we ran outside and she went pee three times. I only needed them on Mondays and figured I will just figure it out with my family ... if they aren't attentive during day care I can't imagine boarding her. read more

We did a meet and greet with the staff there. Everyone there, even the pet owners seem very well educated on dog behaviors and quirks. We feel very comfortable with this business leaving our pups in good hands. We did the spa services for both our dogs. They came back so soft and smelling good. Hannah said Max our German Shepherd licked and loved on everyone and our difficult one, Zoey did great with her. We shocked and amazed We found our spot. read more

We love Dogtopia!! I'm not sure how the staff remembers every dog, but they do and they greet them with genuine happiness every time. Frank the dog absolutely loves going to Dogtopia. A big reason why I came here initially is because Frank had developed crate anxiety when we rescued him. They crate the dogs for "nap time", which is when the dogs rest and eat lunch. I loved this aspect because he could be crated with all his dog friends and hopefully understand the crate was a good thing. It definitely worked when combined with us working with him at home. They have a great system where they don't just throw the dog in with other dogs like other places we tried. They have a meet and greet where they have your dog come in for a few hours to be assessed; what their temperament is like, how they interact with other dogs, etc. At the end you get a report card about how they did and if they're ready for doggie daycare. The cameras in the play rooms are a nice touch, lets you see your dog throughout the day if you are so inclined. They also have a lot of activities each month, water day, bacon day, peanut butter Kong day, photo shoot day. Some are included in the price of day care and some are an add on, with the money going to a charity. We have also used their kenneling services and I love that the price included daycare so they're not in the crate all day. The price point is pretty on par, perhaps slightly on the high side but if you purchase a package, you save $$$. The kennel is actually more affordable than other places, which is a nice surprise. Franklin absolutely adores coming here and the staff seem to truly love him as well. I recommend Dogtopia to everyone. read more

Where can I even begin? We love, love, LOVE Dogtopia! We've been taking our little pup Noodle for a few months now to the doggie daycare and he has the absolute best time. As a puppy, he is so full of energy and our older dog at home doesn't play the amount he wants - plus he's learning great socialization skills. Dogtopia was very thorough and informative during our meet & greet session and Noodle was able to stay for the remainder of the day for a free afternoon of daycare! Since then he's been back usually once a week and just completed his first multi-night boarding there. I love that when I board him he is able to be outside the crate for the majority of the day playing with all of his new buddies. They are accommodating to his 3x daily feeds and we're able to bring his own bedding/toys. It's also comforting to know that he isn't alone for very long, as someone checks in on the dogs pretty late (I believe 10pm) and then arrive again early (I think 5am). Truly can't say enough good things about Dogtopia - both the daycare and boarding! So thankful we found this place and our little Noodle is the happiest pup! read more

Before arriving to this location I contacted and submitted me and my dogs information to set up a meet and greet. I was told we were all set up for our scheduled day and that they got all of our documentation and all that was needed now was to show up. I went here for my initial meet and greet today and 4 minutes before my scheduled meet and greet time I received a text from the location about a vaccination not seen on his documents I submitted. We were not allowed our meet and greet. I could've easily had this information figured out if I was notified more than 4 minutes before I was meant to be there. My pup is anxious and I was hoping to start socializing him a bit more. I put him through the stress of getting in a car and walking into an unfamiliar building just to be turned away. And to clarify, I am not upset about them requiring the vaccination. I'm upset and disappointed in the untimely review and notification of the lack of information needed. On top of that, I was just stared at once inside and told he wasn't able to meet today with no walk through of what the location is, does or what the meet and greet entails. I got absolutely no introduction to the facilities at all I was just kind of treated like we didn't belong there. I don't think I'll be bringing my pup back, it was just an overall disappointing experience. read more

Wow. I can't say enough good things about this place. I'll try to do it justice. I was impressed with the web presence... so I gave them a call. They were professional, kind, understanding, and very helpful on the phone. They were clear about what they required - proof of vaccinations was absolutely needed (they even called the vet to get details). This is a HUGE plus for me - need to make sure it's as safe as possible. Then they reviewed the check in process (they call it a meet and greet). So, I made an appointment. I showed up and was even more impressed in person. They have a comfortable reception, and an amazing staff. It isn't a quick process the first time - they need to make sure my dogs will thrive in the environment. They discuss the dogs history with me, what my expectations are, and anything they need to know about them. Then, one at a time, they take them back for a multi-stage introduction to the facility. They then observe them for about 15 minutes. Then they come back with a report card, indicating what they were able to observe. Oh - and I watched the whole process on closed circuit video from the lobby. After both pups passed, they were admitted and stayed the day. I was able to monitor them for my own comfort via a free app and login showing them in their room. The dogs are separated by size and activity level and there is a person in the room with them at all times. The facility is exceptionally clean and well maintained. And, most importantly in my eyes, it seems to me that their number one priority is the comfort and well-being of the dogs in their care. Exceptional experience, I'll be back - and I'll recommend it to anyone in the market for exceptional day care for their four-legged family members. read more

The facility was nice, the staff seemed friendly. I was a little bothered by the fact that the dogs weren't taken outside to go potty, and were encouraged to relieve themselves in the middle of the play area. Watching their video feed, I saw that at times when staff members weren't paying attention, it was left on the floor for quite a while, at times being picked up by other pups. Kinda gross. The dogs all slept in crates and cameras were turned off during this time. That was a little concerning, not sure why I couldn't watch to make sure my pup was eating and sleeping ok. Our experience wasn't terrible and we would have returned, but they then raised their prices somewhat significantly, and I didn't feel the experience was worth the increased cost. read more

When I first took my dog Rosie (3 year old golden doodle) here I really liked it, but I don't know that I will be back. It is very clean and the staff is great, but I have a few concerns. 1. As soon as I pick Rosie up she potty's as soon as we get outside, which is not normal behavior for her. She usually walks a good while before peeing especially going number 2, but as soon as we walk out the door at daycare she does both. This could be specific to my dog, maybe she doesn't feel comfortable going on the turf and is confused about being indoors? So this could be just specific to Rosie but it is still a concern that maybe she isn't using the bathroom at all while she is there? 2. My BIGGEST complaint and the reason I don't think I will be back is because the last time I picked her up she was soaking wet around her mouth and her paws were soaking wet. They close at 7 and I had a work event run late and I called to let them know I would be there by 6:45-6:50ish. The staff was great about me getting there so close to closing time which I appreciated, but again why was Rosie so wet? I asked the receptionist and she said it was probably from being in the crate. Uhm... excuse me? You mean to tell me I spend almost $40 for a day of day care and my dog has been in a crate??!!! And I have no idea for how long she was in the crate. Yes, they put the dogs in a crate at lunch time which I was made aware of when I first joined and I am fine with that. However... my dog was the last dog to be picked up and so you just put her in a crate? My dog has not been in a crate in 3 years. For her to be salivating enough to make her face and paws soaking wet she was obviously freaking out about being in the crate and she was just left in there? Why was nobody attending to her? I get being the last dog there but my gosh, if there is only one dog there I don't think it's that much of a hassle to keep her company as it is with 15+ dogs. And she could've been in there for 2+ hours I have no idea so I keep thinking about her freaking out in a crate in a new environment and the fact that I am paying good money for that did not sit well with me. I have never written a yelp review before and I am not someone to talk negatively publicly of a company or business but this was so disappointing. read more

This place is SO AWESOME. We spent a month in Florida and took our pup here often when we needed to be out of the house. It was great for getting his energy out and for socialization. But the best part of this place is the staff. They were so attentive to our dog, so kind and patient with us, and generally made everything about doggy daycare as easy as it could be. We had to do a couple of nights of boarding and they made sure our dog was prepared ahead of time. One day he got covered in slobber from a full day of play and they bathed him for us free of charge. Now that we are back home, we are trying to find a new doggy daycare but nothing comes close to this Dogtopia! read more

I brought my lab/g. shepherd mix to Dogtopia and for being a shy dog, he had a blast! I love that they have webcams to keep an eye on your pup, and that there is always someone in the rooms with them to keep them company! I will continue to bring Homer here! read more

Although I felt my puppy was safe and I really liked the webcams, my healthy dog came back with a harsh cough and rasp, he did not sleep. Took him to the doctor and he has kennel cough should've realized when the puppies sleep in the same area as the rest of the dogs, plus where they go to the bathroom. :( had very high hopes will not be returning read more

Awesome place to take your pups for daycare or for boarding. We have been using the daycare since they opened and have used the boarding several times as well. I love the staff! They are friendly and helpful and their love for the pups shows. They also have cameras so you can look in on your fur babies throughout the day. You can have piece of mind when your pups are in their care. I highly recommend giving Dogtopia Winter Park a try. Our dog loves going to play with all of her best fury friends.
