I cannot say enough good things about this groomer and dog wash. I have two Samoyeds and we usually get them mini grooms. They are A LOT of work and my dogs go in looking like hot messes and leave looking like celebrities. Today though we did the self wash (I lost my job and are tight on money) and it was so nice! Everyone was so helpful and sweet. My dogs love going here and I love taking them!

I love this place! Piper loves this place! I have used them for grooming and boarding for years. They know my Piper and what she likes or doesn't like. Boarding her has been a positive experience and they have sent me pictures and videos while I've been away.

They've lost a long time customer! New crew decided to shave my dogs beautiful coat off, from head to toe! They did it before in February, I explained how upset I was then, but that mistakes happen. So I foolishly trusted them again. Two more visits went fine. His coat grew back. Today I said, he has a mat near his tail, if they need to use clippers for the mat they can. Then I specifically said, last time they used clippers though, they shaved him completely and it looked terrible! Then reiterated, I DO NOT WANT THAT AGAIN, then added even his head was shaved for some reason!!! Girl at the front assures me she understands. I go pick him up, he's shaved from head to toe, AGAIN!!

THE FACTS We took our dog in for a bath and nail trim. Upon picking him up, we realized he was licking his paw incessantly. Upon closer inspection you could see that one of his nails was cut into the quick. At this point, he wasn't bleeding. But we realized we didn't want him licking or going outside and developing an infection, so we went to Petco to get analgesic and wound care supplies. When we got back, he started bleeding. We did our best to calm the dog, stop him from licking, stem the bleeding, disinfect, and dress his wound. More than two hours later, we had things relatively under control. This is when I decided to call Soapy's to find out what exactly happened and why. I spoke to the manager on duty. I didn't even have to give her a name or any identifying information--she knew exactly which dog I was referring to. She then explained that yea, he was bleeding but she applied something to stop the bleeding so she didn't feel it was necessary to communicate that to us. I didn't raise my voice or curse, but explained that beyond the actual injury to our pet, it's the deliberate lack of transparency (dishonesty really) that had me upset and she didn't seem to be acknowledging any of that. She said cutting into the quick of a dog's nail doesn't constitute an injury, "it happens." I asked how do you define an injury if not with pain and bleeding? Also what happens if he gets an infection? She responded "just put some cornstarch and Neosporin on it and he should be fine." I said thank you and hung up. MY OPINION 1. This is not a trustworthy business and anyone should think carefully before entrusting their pets to their care. If cutting into a dog's quick is no big deal, there shouldn't be any reason to hide it from the owners. The fact that they did tells me they knew they did something wrong and instead of taking responsibility, communicating and taking corrective steps, they chose the easy route of just lying about it. It's the type of behavior I'd expect from a five year old who broke something valuable while playing ball in the house when they weren't supposed to; not the type of behavior I'd expect from a business that asks you to entrust pets into their care. Any business, but particularly ones that provide a service for loved ones (daycares, medical services, pet cares etc), need to not only provide quality service, but open communication that facilitates trust. Without trust, I'm not giving you my business. In fact, a bad experience with one bad service provider makes me way more hesitant about going to any other pet service/care provider because now there's anxiety when your pet is out of sight; you don't know what's happening behind closed doors and if anyone will tell you about it. My point is, the expectations of such a business are higher because the repercussions of harmful service and dishonesty multiply from the pet, to the pet owner, to the business, and similar businesses in the community. 2. Their service is not valuable. The general message I received from talking to the manager was that I needed to get over it; cutting into a pet's quick happens so often it doesn't even deserve to be categorized as an injury. The reason I would pay a professional for a dog trim is that I wouldn't want to hurt my dog. WHY then would I PAY someone to be cavalier about hurting my dog? There isn't even time savings or convenience because that's exactly what we had to give up to deal with the problem ourselves. I know it's usually angry customers who leave reviews, and if you take your pet to Soapy's and you love it; great! Happy for you. I for one expect better care and character from the businesses I interact with, and I'm writing this for like-minded people. Thank you.

I absolutely would highly recommend them to anyone! I have a German shepherd that's 90lbs and a shiba Inu that's 15lbs that come here often for baths and nail trimming. They do a stellar job and the staff is so amazing and kind. You can see the love and care that they put into their work and most importantly into the pets that come there. Wish I could give you 10 stars! Thanks for being different from the rest of the companies out there. Proud to support local businesses.

I have two very different, full of personality huskies and I always trust WoofTang 110%. I make the drive from St Pete to Orlando because this is the only place I completely trust with my dogs. In July of 2024 I decided to make the training investement with both. I knew the mad skills and talents that Lexi & Tai have with dogs and both of mine needed the professional assistance. I enrolled them both together. Archie, is an incredibly stubborn 6 year old husky and Pongo is my overly excited, talking 10 month old Husky. They blend well together but they are not everyone's cup of tea! I trusted these two and their team and they did wonders with compassion, patience and professionalism! My dogs are the core of my world, so as most dog owners I worry how others treat my dogs when away. Lexi would touch in almost everyday, she communicated reports with honesty on progress & she let me know when a post of their training was hitting the social so I could feel better being apart. Recently, when I had to evacuate from St Pete during both of these recent hurricanes to Orlando, the team took them right in and explained to me the precautions and procedures they would be taking with them. This team even stayed overnight during the storms! Talk about going the extra mile. Lexi is amazing at communication and I still ask her questions about training because it's an everyday practice here with my two! Tai radiates love when he talks to the dogs. The staff is very professional, clean, organized and educates you on the different packages/pricing & knows your dog! Also they take great photography of the dogs! (photo of the work added!) Bottom line, if you found this facility and you If you love your dog(s) you struck gold!! I have been bringing them since they opened their doors and I will be loyal to this team forever. Note: my dogs could attend our wedding BECAUSE of Lexi and Tai's training with them.

Kiko loves it here and I can rest easy knowing that he is safe and being looked after.read more

I recently moved to the area and needed doggy day care while I was looking for a house. This place was recommended by an employee at a nearby pet store. But, she really didn't know anything about it other than it was close by. There's a large play area at the front, observable through large windows at reception, and there's a back area that you cannot see. From what I experienced, there's no air conditioning other than at reception. That leaves your dog exposed to Florida heat and humidity for the duration of the stay. Both times I picked up my dog, he was heat stressed and physically hot. There's plenty of water and it looks like the dogs can be hosed down, but that's not enough. Smaller dogs really suffer in heat, and dogs with skin problems shouldn't be watered down. There's no place for your dog to escape when they've had enough. The other issue is they're closed for four hours in the middle of the day. I didn't notice this the first time. I showed up and there was no one around and no cars in the parking lot. I'm sure there's a way to get your dog in an emergency, but I've never seen a business model like this. Last issue, is they will shamelessly flip around the pay pad and solicit a tip...for doing their job...that they're already paid for. Of course, they're all standing around looking at you. No pressure. I tipped because I don't want them to screw with my dog, But, they're not waiters or baristas. Their job IS the service; the service isn't extra. So, if you're actively fighting against out-or-control tipping culture, this alone is enough to avoid this business. Add the lack of air-conditioning, and there's just no reason.
