My pup after a groom! Love them!
    Nach P.

Winter Park Pet Villa always does an AMAZING job with my Cavapoo! It's the only place I will take my dog to get groomed. My dog is always excited to come into the shop so I know they take good care of him there. He always smells amazing after a cut and their prices are fair. And they are open on Saturdays too!!!

    Perfectly groomed!

All of the groomers work on tables completely visable to the customers and they treat the pets with so much love. They're about to move into a bigger spot and I'm so excited for their success. Highly recommend this local business!

Our Irish Setter has been groomed here multiple times, yet the services have consistently felt lazy and inconsistent. Most recently, the grooming job was extremely poor, as shown in the photos. Despite our dog having an established "file" and us communicating our instructions directly to the groomer, we were later told it was still our responsibility to ensure everything was explained again. After we called to express our concerns, they asked us to send photos as evidence of the grooming. Following an investigation and conversations with both the owner and store manager, they admitted the groom was not up to their standards and apologized, which we did appreciate. What was disappointing, however, was the resolution they offered. Instead of refunding the service, they offered a discount on a future appointment. That felt presumptuous, considering this experience left us with little confidence in trusting them to groom our dog again. They also mentioned that, if we returned, they would make sure a groomer who "specializes in setters" handled him next time. This was frustrating to hear because our dog has been groomed there multiple times already, and that option was never previously mentioned.

Our Frenchie is extremely energetic, and daycare was a great outlet for her energy. We rarely boarded our dogs, but after booking a Christmas-week trip nearly a year in advance, we boarded them for a full week. They had previously boarded once for a weekend without issue. When we picked them up, our Frenchie had visibly lost a significant amount of weight--her ribs and hip bones were clearly visible. She is normally a 20-lb dog and eats two cups of kibble daily per her vet due to her high activity level. After unpacking, we discovered that out of 7 days of packed meals (plus an extra day), 9 meal baggies remained, meaning she missed roughly half her meals. Our Pug, by contrast, returned home having eaten all but the extra day's food. We contacted Hounds Town WP immediately to ask why we were not notified that our Frenchie wasn't eating. They said they would investigate. We also took her to the vet, who ruled out illness and confirmed rapid weight loss of approximately 4-6 lbs--nearly 30% of her body weight in one week, which is extremely concerning. After a week with no follow-up, my husband called again and was told they had "meant to call but forgot," and that our Frenchie simply wasn't eating. When asked about their protocol for dogs that don't eat, they mentioned meal stimulants (like pumpkin puree or other safe toppers) but were unsure if these were used. That was the extent of the investigation, with no further communication. What's most upsetting is that we were never notified during the stay. Had we known, we had friends and family nearby who could have intervened or provided alternative food. Our Frenchie is thankfully okay now and has regained her weight, but we've lost trust in their boarding and communication processes. We didn't post this lightly, but feel it's important feedback for other pet owners as well as the company. We wanted to like Hounds Town WP, but for now, we remain skeptical of their boarding care and communication.

Today, I went to have my puppy's nails trimmed after calling to confirm there was someone there to trim them. Once I arrived, I was told a mask is manditory, which I have abandoned and have none with me, but no one told me this when I called. And, there were no customers in the store. Then I was instructed to wait outside until her nails were done but there were no chairs to sit in to wait. While I was walking to the door to wait outside, my puppy escaped from her collar and ran to me, probably thinking I was leaving her. The staff restraining her became frantic and hollered at me to catch her. This only aggitated my puppy more and they had to drag her off with two leashes. I drive out of my way to support this business but they are too busy with other distractions to care professionally for their customers and dogs. If they require masks that no one else in the area requires, then they should alert customers in advance, manage situations, and provide a comfortable waiting area or masks for those without.
