My pup loves happy paws!! I have used them for boarding my pup for the past two years. Boarding includes daytime play as long as your pup passes the temperament test. The staff is so kind and informative. They let you know if there were any concerns with your pets behavior or eating habits. They are super accommodating and allow you to bring your pets favorite toy or treats and even their bed for boarding. They keep detailed notes and ensure they understand what your pets needs are and how to care for them . They even administer meds for your pet. They have surveillance and you can watch you pet play during the day using the odoggy app. You only have access to the cameras at night if your pet is staying in a VIP room. They have treat options like hot dogs and ice cream and grooming options for your pet during their stay. My favorite time is when I pick my pup up and she is so happy to see me and the staff provides a picture and/ or report card of how her stay went. Nice size parking lot and right off the highway for pet parents.., little shop inside for last minute needs, they also have indoor and outdoor areas for the pups and a puppy pool. Prices are going up a few dollars in September but currently a small room is $53 per night.. I believe VIP is $75 per night but is a larger room with a TV and camera access for pet parents. They do have a fees for late pickups and different things so just keep in mind because that can add up quickly. All in all my pups loves this place and sleeps for two days after all the playing she does while here. This will continue to be my go to. This is the ONLY doggie daycare I trust. My Golden Retriever loves place and so does my family! They truly care and the attention to detail is exceptional! There are cameras in all play areas and also in the VIP rooms, which we feel is worth the cost. We can see our dog anytime we want while we are away. She has received exceptional care; and, I love being able to view her on the Daycare Cams. The staff always provides a written report of how she did at each visit. Our dog has been coming here for over 6 years. The staff is so friendly, caring and very helpful! Our dog loves when we mention Happy Paws- he comes home exhausted from a week or weekend of play. As soon as we arrive to the place he gets so excited and won't even say goodbye to us, lol that makes me feel better because it shows he truly loves his time there. They have cameras that allow you to watch the dogs, which we always do and they rotate them with play either outside Or indoors and huge cool plus- they have a dog bone shaped pool that the dogs get to play in. I love the little report cards they provide us at the end of the visit with a picture of the dog. Only cons is there hours- on the weekends they close at 4 so you have to pick up by then, would be great if it was 6pm and scheduling overnight care during the holidays can be competitive and challenging since many want to book here. But these are two very small cons for the fact that my dog is happy, treated well, and gets great grooming. This place is truly great! read more

I have to give a shout out to Happy Paws. Last week my 100 lb rescue dog was staying there because I had to help out family in NY. While there for a number of days Sal my dog started not feeling well & the staff contacted me immediately. Thank goodness for the wonderful staff & brought my boy to Oviedo Vet Care, the manager took my dog there to be checked out & a couple of days later the owner brought him back. I visited numerous Pet Boarding and Daycare places around Orlando to find a place I could feel comfortable leaving my adorable 15 month old Scottish Terrier. The staff at Happy Paws were welcoming , friendly and facilities looked great. We provided all the required vaccination records and she did fine in her tryout day. The time came for her 5 day stay as my daughter's family came down for a Disney vacation. When I picked her up at the end of her stay, she was lethargic, her bedding had been soiled and they had washed it. They did not retrun the proper food container. We provided her regular diet. Her butt indicated she'd had diarrhea. I called and was told she might have been excited and figured ok, maybe she drank pool water ect. The next early morning I awake to massive dog diarrhea and stepped into it as a slipped and sailed into a wall. I picked her up, cleaned her up, and headed to the emergency vet clinic. They put her on prebiotic, special food and there was some gradual improvement. Still frequent diarrhea and wash downs. Went for a follow up at her regular vet. She seemed to be stabilizing. The medicine ran out and by 4th day of departure from Happy Paws the diarrhea returned to the point it was just oozing out. Being a weekend we returned to our regular vets ER and after a long evening we had a treatment plan. An indication she may have acquired a parasite at Happy Paws. After treatment and beginning a much more aggressive treatment plan she appears to be on the mend. I'll know in 5 days. I called Happy Paws to cancel an upcoming daycare and grooming. I can't live through another week like this. I explained what happened and was told they had no record of her having a problem. That all dogs require a 6 month fecal. Maybe they should require one immediately prior to entry. I just got excuses. It may have been a one off. But they do have a potential sanitary issue where dogs can get sick. My dog had no history of any illness and she's been in similar facilities in Upstate NY without incident. After over $1000 in vet bills and a very miserable week for my fur kid and I, I will never be back. read more

My puppy is MY baby. He's everything to us, so when we first were looking for a place to board him, we were super nervous. Dexter had never been around other dogs and he was only 6 months old. We found Happy Paws through recommendations from friends. They requested his vet records and a behavior test before we could board, but he passed with flying colors. They have cameras in the outdoor areas and the indoor play area and in the dog pool(yes, a bone shaped pool!!!) so that you can log on and check on your floof during opening hours!! It was a HUGE relief for me to be able to check on my little guy his first time (andddddd even after the first time). They always welcome your call if you have questions or concerns, and make sure your pet is super happy. Dexter is super light and they always make sure to put sunscreen on him if we forget. Dexter LOVES going. We use a special leash when we take him to Happy Paws and when he sees the leash he cries by the door trying to get out to the car. He literally DRAGS us in. He loves everyone there. When he gets home from Happy Paws, he just sleeps for a whole day-- so exhausted from playing so much! Everyone knows Dexter by name and he loves them! You can trust your pet with Happy Paws!!! They send him home with a cute, custom photo every time(which I save because I'm so proud of the little guy!!!) Definitely give Happy Paws a chance! This review is for grooming. I'm definitely super satisfied with the grooming Curly (idk if that's how to spell it) did on my 9 month old shih tzu! I decided to get her hair cut because her long hair would get matted constantly even after brushing daily! The receptionist called me during her grooming to let me know Piper's hair looked choppy since she still has her puppy coat and if I wanted to make it shorter so it'll look even. Curly even sent me photos of piper to make sure her haircut was to my liking and I was able to tell her exactly what I wanted done. I even received a photo of Piper when she was ready before I picked her up. I've never had this happen to me and it showed that everyone at Happy Paws really cares about customer satisfaction. Price wise I was pleased. I even thought it was a steal considering how perfect piper looked. I would definitely be coming back!! read more

I really liked this place over the phone and my first impression in person was great too. They greeted my dog well and sweetly and helped my preggo self get all 65 lbs of him back in my truck Afterwards too! I noticed they used some negative reinforcement training which I'm not opposed to but I prefer positive. However they don't use treats as some dogs can be food possessive so I understand. Overall my dog seemed happy and like he had a good time. I feel they're safe there and love dogs. I also felt like they really liked my dog and will be happy to see him each time. Plus they have live web cams where you can watch your dog which really put me at ease and was fun to see. I'll be back again and again for my dog. read more

We have been bringing our 2 dogs to this place for years. We try to do road trips so they can always vacation with us, but when we can't, This is the one place we trust to take really good care of them. The staff is really nice and friendly. They will accommodate your pets food and other needs. They have indoor and outdoor play areas, and a bone shaped pool. They do a temperament test before boarding so they can assess and understand your dogs individual needs n personality. If you have more than one dog, you can request that they share a room and you get a discount for the second dog. I dropped my dog off for several days of boarding. This was our second time boarding there. Went to retrieve him and found that he was limping. No one knew what happened. Took him to the vet immediately. Several hundred dollars later, found out he had moderate/severe soft tissue swelling to his paw. I called Happy Paws to tell them the results. They still had no idea what happened and basically gave their well wishes. We definitely will not be back. read more

I have a crazy Vizsla who is beyond energetic. I like to drop her off here while I'm out on vacation because they bring her back to me tired. Ive left her here for 7 days while I was out on a cruise, and she did come back thinner, which is find because I knew she was playing all day. She did have an incident where she was scraped on her belly and on her side. I was told she tried to jump over a "time out crate" and scraped herself. I couldnt blame anyone but my dog only because it sounded like something she would have done. They took care of the scrape for me and she played on. In communication with the owner, she let me know the time out crates are off to the side and they are looking into ways to prevent future incidents. Just a few notes for you newbies out there if you decide to take your pet here. * You'll need to be up on shots including bordetella and fecal. * Your dog has to pass a behavior test. * You must bring your own food portioned out if you plan to stay overnight. * You can bring beds and toys, but no rawhides. * You can tour the back area upon request. Just dont go wandering back there on your own. * Make sure your dog has a quick release collar (non buckle type) or else they will charge you to "rent" a quick release collar. * They charge for everything. If they ask to give your dog something, you will see it on your bill. read more

I know everyone seem to be loving this place. I have to say out of all the ones I have seen, this is probably the best by far; however, it still doesn't meet my expectations. As a proud, and loving parent I look for the best for my dog. Now, I left my dog for a weekend, i asked them to give him a shower the day of pick up and was expecting to see him through the videos on line. Well, the weekend went by, I never was able to get a good picture of the videos, picked up my dog who was of course ecstatic to see me. He was given a shower with probably the worse shampoo available because his coat was kind of rough and his butt area was all scratch up like if other dog had got all over him. Then you wonder how well they are looking after your pets. Overall, it's an ok. place. Pretty decent with a friendly staff, I just wish I can leave my dog somewhere with total peace of mind and still haven't found it. read more

I am still loving this place. The daycare is just awesome, and for the first time ever, my dog actually wants to go. No crying or trickery to get her in the door and away from me. She's got some separation anxiety, and this place has really helped both of us deal with that! The grooming is really done well too. I take her in for daycare, about midway through the day she goes in for grooming, and by the time I'm there to pick her up, she's both tired and pretty. Perfecto! Pricing is comparable to Petsmart, but I think you get more out of the grooming here for the price. read more

Those who have dogs understand they are a part of your family and not just a pet. I don't prefer to board my dog, but if none of my typical dog sitters can watch my dog, my first choice would definitely be Happy Paws. Price wise, it is more expensive, but worth it knowing how much attention and care the employees give all the dogs. Before I decided to board my dog here, they openly gave us a tour of the facility. My little yorkie has been here 3 times. The first time he got kennel cough, but I don't blame that on Happy Paws. It was his first time being boarded, just like sending your kid to day care, and getting sick, which can happen. The next time he was fine. I love how Happy Paws keeps your dog playing the entire day versus other boarding places who keep them in a kennel except to let them out to use the bathroom (and usually only 2-3 times). Other boarding places require you to pay extra for more time to go out (and usually only an extra 20 minutes), which is ridiculous. I love that they have the cameras in all the play areas so you can check on your dog during business hours. You can also call to check on your dog and they give you a thorough, honest update. I was told how well my dog ate and if he had made a friend or was being shy. Before I pick my dog up, I pay the extra $20.00 to get him bathed and they also do a great job with this. Only thing I would recommend is if you are planning to board your dog and you know the dates, you can book as early as 60 days. Definitely do this because during holidays they book up quickly and the only rooms you may be left with are the suites, which are a lot more expensive than the standard kennels. read more

Like many pet owners my dog is like my child and I am very protective about anything that has to do with my 110 pound, 11 month old puppy, especially when it comes to dog daycare and boarding places. Well my prayers have been answered with Happy Paws Pet Resort which is located in the UCF/Waterford/Avalon area. This place is Spectacular in every aspect you can think of! For starters, they can board and pet-sit both dogs and cats and to ensure safety on both ends, they are kept separate and the rooms are ventilated in a way that the dogs won't be able to smell the cats and vice versa. How cool is that? The cats are kept in a glass case of sorts that sounds wrong, but looks very posh and comfortable with a plush bed and plenty of space to move around. The dogs, on the other hand definitely have it made. You can choose between two options when it comes to boarding your dog. The first option is a kennel or "suite" as they refer to it that looks like a little room with slanted floors so that if your dog has the urge to go it flows down into an irrigation system of sorts, keeping your pet nice, dry and smelling good. Depending on the size of your dog, you can choose between a 3X6 or 4x6 suite. The second option is the VIP suite which is good enough for a human to stay in let alone a dog. These 6x6 rooms are furnished with what appeared to be microfiber dog beds, a TV with a DVD player and surround sound...and no I'm not kidding or exaggerating. Do you think they allow humans to stay the night? To be honest, unless you're boarding your pet overnight the type of suite you choose won't really matter because Happy Paws makes it a point to keep them active and moving throughout the day with small breaks in between. They have indoor play rooms complete with rubber floors that prevent sore muscles and tender joints, an outdoor play area that is covered with synthetic grass free from pesticides, fleas and ticks making it safe for your pet to run around freely, and each area is divided so that big dogs can play with big dogs and small dogs can interact with other small dogs. However, the best part by far is most definitely the bone shaped swimming pool that goes from six inches deep to four feet and is filled with salt water which is better for your dogs skin and fur coat. If I bring my dog here he for sure won't want to leave! Aside from the many fantastic amenities, the staff here is very nice and seem to know their stuff. They're also very strict about receiving all of your pets history and vet records before allowing s/he to stay in their facility. The only downfall that I see with Happy Paws is the price. It's clearly a luxury and not something that many can do only a daily or regular basis. On the bright side, if you simply want to use the day care option it's cheaper if you buy one of the package deals. Overall, this is a place that I have been waiting to arrive for a long time and will definitely be using as needed. Go check it out! read more

My two dogs give this place eight enthusiastic paws up. I left them there for a couple days over thanksgiving. The web cams are great. I could watch them frolicking with other dogs. Ever present were happy paws staff watching the dogs play. They have a pool, huge field and other areas the dogs can play. When I called for an update on them I got a very detailed summary of what and when they ate, how the slept, that my Finnegan had found a girlfriend to play with, that my Tupelo was doing well mixing with the other dogs, and other info I just loved hearing. The price is reasonable, especially since they give a discount for multiple dogs when boarding if they share a room. My dogs loved it, and I am happy to have a trusted place they can stay when I travel. This is one of my few five stars... read more

Happy Paws is such an amazing place to bring your dog. I was very scared, after adopting my dog, what I would do with her when I was gone on vacation. I'm very protective and scared about where my dog goes, and Happy Paws is top notch. I was anxious about how she was, so I called in to ask while I was gone and they gave me great updates, explaining things and even offering solutions when she was scared while I was gone. I then took her back for a bath, she got very anxious while in the cage and rubbed her nose raw, so they took her out and let her just roam around, and even put in her file just to put her in the yard since the cage made her anxious. They're amazing. They really truly care about your dog. You don't need to worry while they're here. Plus they have cameras to watch your dog while you're gone. 10/10. read more

Oh, Happy Paws. How I love thee. Seriously - this place is absolutely wonderful. We have two dogs - a border collie mix and a lab/pit mix - both whom are complete opposites personality wise. My concern was with our lab/pit mix, who is friendly, but can be really high energy. Happy Paws was great with her, and we recently left her for a two-night stay while we went away. Being the overly-paranoid "dog mom" that I am, I checked in on her frequently, and was so happy to see her running around and having fun each time. The "pack leaders" keep the dogs in check, and I know that she's safe there and I don't have to worry. I can't thank them enough for their kindness, but also for not discriminating against certain breeds. We will forever be clients of Happy Paws, and can't wait to bring our dogs back! read more

My family and I highly recommend Happy Paws! Our Australian Shepherd puppy, Mia, stayed at the resort in January while we were away on vacation and again for doggie daycare this past Saturday. We were very apprehensive about leaving her at any sort of facility but your staff was wonderful and really made us feel comfortable that she was well cared for through daily status updates and the ability to watch her play on the webcams. Decided to check this place out after hearing raving reviews from our neighbor. I'm so glad we did, because everything was fantastic; not only for our dog, but for us too. We toured the place prior to making our reservation and were blown away by the friendly staff, spacious play areas, and humungo pool. I heard this place had a pool, but I never would have imagined it was as large as it is. We went ahead and made a reservation on the spot. Our dog stayed for 6 nights, 7 days. She seemed to love it. I was able to go online and watch her play on the video stream. It's live as long as the dogs are up and playing. (Pretty sure the cameras go off at bedtime). We chose to have our dog bathed before pick-up and she looked gorgeous. We did arrive late, and they were nice enough not to charge us for late pick-up since we called all morning to keep them updated while we were held up. They also gave us a picture they snapped while she was playing - a delightful souvenir. This is definitely our new doggie daycare/boarding spot without a doubt. read more

I reserved a medium suite for him. They insured me, that would be more than enough. I brought him his food and off we went. Upon returning, he was fine. A little hung over from all the fun he had. We have our Corgi Meet-ups here once in a while. The dogs always have so much fun! And the place is VERY clean! The only issue I have is the paper work. They want certain vaccinations to be done every six months, when the "norm" is to have them yearly. So to pay to get the vaccination done sometimes isn't worth the visit if you are going just to take the dogs swimming. I TOTALLY understand if you board your pets a lot...but for a day at the pool.... I also find it very inconsistent. Many people are turned away for not being as up to date as the resort would like on the vaccine. But some people get let in regardless...it's not fair to everyone. read more

When we moved back to Orlando, Allis had to stay at Happy Paws for a week while we found a place to live, and she was ecstatic! My dog and I both love Happy Paws! I must admit, I am one of those crazy dog moms who will do whatever it takes to make my dog happy. I take him to daycare just about once a week so he can burn some energy while I'm at work, instead of just laying around the house all day. When I ask if he wants to go to "daycare" (in my overly excited voice, of course) he races to the door and knows exactly what I'm talking about. Upon our arrival it's almost as though the staff are his other moms and he's just as thrilled to see them as he is to see me. This is so comforting! I love knowing that my dog is in good hands and with people that love him as much as I do. When I pick Boone up after his day of play the staff is more than happy to answer my silly, overbearing mom questions like "Did he behave?", "Did he make any new friends?", "Did he give anyone a hard time?", which I know are very annoying but they smile and answer politely every time! Besides answering my questions I also get an adorable daycare card about the highlights of Boone's day and occasionally a picture of him :). This is my favorite. Not only can I log on to the internet and watch him during the day, but I get a fun picture to take home with me as well (and hang on the fridge like any other proud mom would do)! If you haven't given Happy Paws a try yet I highly recommend it. I know people who have older dogs and less than friendly dogs and the staff is happy to make the accommodations necessary for each pet's specific needs. I don't think I can say enough good things about my experiences with this facility. read more

This place is fantastic! I discovered this when one of my friends held a doggy birthday party there. The staff was wonderful and very accommodating. The inside playroom has rubber floors to prevent sore joints. Outside is artificial grass, which makes it great for cleaning up any accidents. My corgi LOVED the salt water bone shaped swimming pool. She is a bit skeptical of the water still, but the shallow end is only 6 inches deep, so she was able to splash around without fear. They also offer doggy life vests upon request, so even those new swimmers can doggy paddle to their hearts content. After such a great experience at the birthday party, I would absolutely trust them to watch my pooch while I am out of town, or even just during the day for their doggy day care. read more

Amazing doggy day care facility off East Colonial and State Road 408. Now my dog didn't actually stay there, but we went over there this weekend to check out the Spring Splash and Shout (doggy dock jumping competition) and I got a tour of the facility. It looked very clean, and the people were very friendly. All the dogs who were there seemed very happy -- they were outside in the dog runs playing when I saw them. What interested me most is the fact that they have a huge salt water, bone-shaped pool, and I can book time for my dog to check it out. I don't know if Lulu has ever been in water, but I would like her to be acclimated and know what to do in the event she ends up in a pool or a lake or whatever. read more

I have been here several times over the past couple years for numerous doggie pool "pawtys" ! :). All were through through local dog meetup groups and were also held as fundraisers for animal rescue. Even though my pups don't like to swim, it's still an enjoyable outing for them and for their owners !! There is a large bone shaped pool surrounded by fake green flooring. The pool area is kept clean and there is always accessibility to dog bags to pick up poop! Usually an employee is hanging out as well taking photos of all the fun as well as picking up wherever it is needed. I love that they recently put up shade on both ends of the pool. It can get pretty hot under that Florida sun! This facility is very adamant about making sure dogs attending are updated on all required vaccinations which I like. It gives me peace of mind that my pups will be safe and not exposed to anything that is harmful. We've never used this place for daycare or boarding as it is too far but if it is anything based on the experience we have had, I am sure your pets would be in good hands. read more
