I called in to make an appointment yesterday and was told to bring my dog in today at 10:45 am, I brought my dog in to this place at 10:55. After about 5 minutes scrambling try to find my appointment, they reallized that my appointment is on one computer rather than the other. Then they told me my appointment is 10:30 instead of 10:45, and since it is already 11:00 so your appointment is cancelled. But even it is for 10:30 I am not 30 minutes late. I think this store is a mess. Bad administration system, and staff working there are pretty rude and treat people like nothing. I had a couple similar experience piror to this one. I think their service does not have good quality either, last time I found they didn't even brush my dog's teeth even though they charged money for it. They will try to charge you everything even the tinyest amount of extra work they do. I have been using this PetSmart grooming service for a little less than 3 years in the past mainly for convenience. I am pretty sure they know me, but nevertheless they treated me like a stranger. This makes me to think that if they can treat their loyal customers in such a way, it will not be hard to imagine how would they treat your pets. Overall the grooming service in this PetSmart is an unpleasant place and I decided to look for a new one and will never come back agian. I would recommend you to avoid this place as well. read more

This review is for the retail services only. I've never tried the vet, grooming, or night services. The employees are generally friendly and very helpful. My dog is allergic to chicken products, so having the extra help finding products is awesome. The store is also new and clean inside. One star off for being relatively crowded with long check out wait times. read more

My Lucia loves being pampered. Mariah and the other gals in the grooming salon are so good to my fur-baby. All the groomers are so welcoming, they greet you with a smile and hello. Best of all you know you're leaving your precious baby in great hands. Lucia bolts through the swinging door without hesitation or apprehension. I've never felt more comfortable with a groomer before, Lucia feels the love and that makes her Momma and Papa very happy. When we pick her up, her haircut is perfect, her nails are smooth and she is so soft. And she knows it! Thanks Mariah and crew. Keep up the awesome work. We will be back soon. read more

PetSmart - Pet Stores Near Me - Mountain View, California

I never knew that PetSmart would become one of my favorite stores of all times. Ever since Boomer (my 3 mo. jackapoo puppy) entered my life, I've been going to PetSmart about once a week or two. The staff is super friendly, attends your needs and really helps you find what you're looking for! The facilities is super clean and organized! I like coming here and Boomer loves the attention from the people at PetSmart! read more

Pet Smart.. Where do I start. It's a great place to get good deals for ANY pet items! They have a card that's free that can give you plenty discounts on selected items. They also have a "$1 Box" full of random pet items [Mostly dog and cat supplies] Their staff is very friendly to the pets, and are always saying nice things about your pets. They give good advice to new pet owners, and [from my point of view] tell their real, and own opinions. Many vets advised for my to take my kitten to Pet Smart. They are great, if you need any thing and don't want to take many trips to different stores, Pet Smart's got it all! They have a hotel, a grooming area, a pet hospital, and of course all the possible pet supplies you could ever think of. I love going to Pet Smart, and I hope they keep on hiring good-attitude staff, like they are. read more

I'm really happy to have the doggy day care option at PetsHotel for my dog. The new offer--6 hours for $17--is a bargain and lets me drop off the pooch when I have errands or doctor appointments that will take up half the day. This lets her have a great time playing rather than being bored (or destructive) at home. The PetsHotel staff seems to genuinely like my dog, and are always warm and welcoming to me too! The PetSmart store is very nice too--well stocked and has friendly staff. It's a great resource. read more

I'll add to the praise of the people that work at Doggie Day Camp / Pet Hotel. Really nice experience and you can tell they love animals too. read more

I love this place for doggie day camp. I often take my dogs to play other dogs during the day. You can drop off your dog or cat at 7 am and pick up at 9pm. This is really great for me when I have long workdays or events at my home. My dogs come home ready to rest. The boarding is a little on the expensive side for me so I am not willing to try it. read more

PetsHotel review. Short and sweet. Any issues we've ever had were always delt with immediately and responsibly. My dog has stayed here a few times. Once for 11 days. No issues whatsoever. We don't use the doggie daycare since my dog isn't the social type (shiba inu) so I can't honestly review that part of the PetsHotel. read more

So I have had a great experience with the Doggie Hotel, they have great customer service and my dog really seems to like going there...the price of a suite is cheap around $45!!! She got her own TV in her private room. You can add all kinds of extras like play time 15-18$, treats, bathing, etc. I had her groomed the last time I brought her here and it was THE WORST!!!!! They nipped her quite a few times with the clippers, she had scabs everywhere. The she was super choppy and they didn't blend the hair at all, so she had a deep line that separates her head from her neck, body from her tail, and body from each leg....sooooo disappointing, especially because she enjoys getting shaved and is easily manipulated into any needed position during the process (her nails are a different story lol). So I give the: doggie hotel 5 stars Petsmart store 5 stars (for lots of stock and great customer service) And the grooming 1 star (and that for simply returning my dog alive) read more

This is concerning the hotel. KENNEL COUGH!!! After much trouble finding one sitter through one of those websites that can only have my two bulldogs and not other dogs at the same time, we decided to try Petshotel. We didn't even dared to put our bullies in one of those regulars kennels but for both to be inside in one of those rooms they call suites. Plus, they are not friendly towards other dogs. After I picked them up, I was so happy to see them in great shape. To my surprise they were clean, smelling good, in great shape and their stuff (bed, blankets, toys),I don't know if they washed it because everything was in perfect condition. Except for their bowl that they let us know if it breaks, they can't replace it. Kind of a warning, which they did break the slow feeder bowl from one of the bulldogs. No big deal. Staff service were courteous, and caring. My big concern now is reading other reviewers recently is that the same thing happened to my dogs. They developed a terrible kennel cough which is clear to me they haven't done the proper sterilization yet. Don't take your dog here if it's a senior or a puppy. My female had a terrible time recovering for something that it's preventable and didn't have to happen. read more

For dogs, this is the place to go They are honest about saving money on expensive flea fighting items. Whether to buy from a vet or not. They know good training tips for new pups and how to break old habits for resuce dogs. Management seems to be really care about their store--customers and staff. read more

Grooming department is unreliable for appointments. Your call goes to a call center that gives you misleading information. When you get to the appointment the workers have no info about your request for your appointment. They only see the type of appointment booked. If you have a bath scheduled they won't take you if there are matts and won't groom your dog they just cancel you on the spot. Although this was prearranged ahead of time on phone and xtra charge for xpress. When you try to rebook there is a 2 week wait. Unreliable and too busy and over impacted at Mountain View location. Workers are polite but they need to do away with offsite call center for bookings and be more accommodating to customers. Management should give workers more freedom to deal with customers on an individual basis instead of reading a rule book. read more

If I could give Zero stars I would. Also, I would avoid PetSMart dog training classes as well. My son and I went yesterday for the first day of class and we were told there was no class because no one else called to confirm. WHAT?? We did call to confirm and no one ever called us back to let us know there was NO CLASS. So it was all a waste of time and now I will never for sure walk into that store again. This should not happen but this store seems to have alot of issues. read more

PETSMART FISH/AQUARIUM REVIEW: - 60 day return policy on all non-living items (equipment, decorations, food, etc) with receipt. - 14 day return policy on all living items (fish, rodents, birds, reptiles, amphibians, plants) with receipt, even if dead (at least in the case of fish). Interior is clean and employees are cheerful. They greet you upon entering, and unobtrusively ask if you need help. If you don't, then great, they'll let you go on your way. If you do, then also great, they'll do their best to answer your questions or grab an item that you're looking for, etc. I wandered around Pet Club (next to Costco) for a bit when perusing the fish items (fish, tanks, food, decorations, etc), and was just SO depressed by everything (more on that in a separate review) that walking into Petsmart was like walking into heaven. The entire space is brightly, but not harshly, lit, and filled with bright, happy colors-- insta-mood boost. PetSmart carries a variety of live animals, and all the animals look fairly happy and healthy. I found the selection of fish to be pretty impressive-- the tanks are very clean and modern, all the fish look pretty healthy, and prices are competitive. OVERALL: I'd happily return to stock up on aquarium essentials, or just to browse. read more

If I need pet supplies, and am too impatient to order it from Amazon, I end up at PetSmart. PetSmart doesn't have the best prices in town, but they carry just about everything. From dog food to fish to snakes, if you're looking for pet supplies, they probably have it. Inside, PetSmart also has a pet hotel, hospital, and groomers. I have yet to take my dogs to the pet hotel nor the vet, but the groomers aren't too bad. For a mere $25, you can get your pet groomed. Just make sure that you have your rabies certificate or else you can't make an appointment. This location is right next door to REI and Best Buy. There is tons of parking, so you don't have to worry about not finding a spot, but it does get a little crowded on the weekdays during lunch hours. Not much more to say except that if you're looking for pet supplies, this is your spot. If you're price sensitive, then go to Pet Club, Costco, or Amazon. read more

PetSmart needs to sponsor the A's stadium so that Baxter can see a game. Its almost reason enough to move to S.D., buy a seven BR and be a Padre fan cuz PetCo Park lets dogs in! I'll gladly pay a buck or two more for treats (baxter eats about $30 a month. He's a shih tzu...) if they'd just sponsor the Fremont A's read more

I like this Petsmart overall. Parking is easy in a large lot; it's easy to find. Which for me is great because I am always lost. Inside is clean, large and has everything you need. I like their selection of stuff. We bought for our shiny new kitten: A ton of toys shampoo litter cat box clippers scratching post bowls grass flea medicine . . . . . and a whole bunch of stuff in general. The staff was pretty friendly, quick and we were on our way. A small setback was that I didn't love any of the pet carriers and so I had to go somewhere else. OH well. read more

How can I give less than one star? I had it scheduled a month early to leave my cat with them for my vacation but they screwed it up and cost me and my sister each two days of vacation time we couldn't reschedule around. They can't coordinate information with their own veterinarians on site that i started going to thinking it would make future pet hotel visits easier, but no. Not using their pet hotel, their vet services or pet supplies anymore. these guys couldn't dump the water from a boot if the instructions were written on the heel; not having these guys be responsible for caring for my cat when they can't coordinate a simple holiday reservation. read more

Friendly staff and always very helpful, the PetsHotel department has an amazing staff who take care of the pets. The dogs I see leaving are always happy and well taken care of. read more

I was actually very pleased with this Petsmart. It was very clean, several folks asked us if we needed help finding stuff, and they allowed us to use two coupons for food. I haven't used the PetHotel, but it's not awfully priced ($31 for two cats) so maybe I will at some point. Much nicer than a lot of places closer to San Francisco! read more

This PetsMART is brand new, just opened a month ago on Charleston, and I go there at least once a week to get crickets for my gecko. The place is bigger than the one on McCarthy which I used to go, very clean, and friendly staff. Only problem is they are not very knowledgable. There is a Doggy Daycare within the store as well, looks pretty cool, but haven't got my dogs to try it. read more

You can't go wrong at Petsmart, right? You been to one, you been to 'em all, with the exception of their staff. Like any other PM, this one is clean, good selection, nice staff. I can only imagine how hard it must be to keep a staff of people who actually like what they do and wont give customers that "What the hell do you want, there's only 15 min left in my shift" look. :Thumbs up: read more

Employee helped a lot with purchase of hamsters. Seemed like she knew a lot about caretaking of the animals. read more

This specific store and Pethotel in Mountain View, CA is the best! Literally the best in the area. We know this because we have tried almost all of their stores in the SF Peninsula and San Jose area. These wonderful young people are kind and caring with pets and also polite, informative and flexible with owners. They let me help with handling our dog and cat during check-in to help the two relax. Both animals know the difference in the character of the people who work at the Mt. View store. This morning, to top it off, the young woman at check in was able to attend to a hearing- impaired client using sign language. I know this is really specific, but the naturalness and respect with which she offered this was fantastic. BTW, my advise is to avoid the Coleman Ave. store like the plague. The check in staff that I interacted with were the opposite of the Mt. View store. read more

My dogs groomer was Ashley she was awesome, my dog has anxiety and hates cages they took breaks in between the service I was told, they showered my dog and when they placed her in the cage my dog wouldn't come out so they called us to help them bring her out. Due to the event Ashely wasn't able to finish, it was fine bc we could see our dog groomed. The service was 45$ and hair cut styling 7$ with another $7 for the nail trimming. read more

PetSmart - Maltese mix poodle with Ashley the groomer. 45$ service, $7shampoo, $7nail trimming - Pet Stores Near Me - Mountain View, California

Bear, my miniature goldendoodle, had a disastrous session with the groomer at PetSmart this week. Bear started the day with curls everywhere and the cutest teddy bear cut imagineable. When I went to pick him up, they brought out a dog that couldn't possibly be mine. His body was nearly hairless and the teddy bear cut was replaced with a nearly hairless skull. Only with my eyes closed, could I imagine it might be Bear. I was in shock!! The dog jumped up and down like Bear does when he greets me, so eventually I decided to take him home. But, I'm going to spend the holidays explaining that he isn't suffering from a disease, just a really bad haircut. How could this happen? I thought I was dealing with experts; I paid a lot of money to ensure that. The point of grooming is to get a great looking dog, not some pathetic, hideous creature. Why would the groomer propose a plan to radically change the appearance for the worse, much less implement it? The groomer did not show "before and after" pictures so that I could see what she was planning to do to my dog. Why? Apparently, she realized that I would have taken Bear elsewhere. The groomer said a couple of things which might cause an experienced customer to suddenly hear the sounds of sirens and bells and to see a powerful red light flashing in their eyes. "The hair on his body is matted, so it must be cut shorter." "The hair on his head is tangled ..." I objected, "No, the teddy bear cut is very important." She acknowledged my request, but ignored it when she was cutting. I am not an experienced customer. This was the fourth time in my life that I had taken a dog to the groomer. The first three times were good; Ashley did a great job (she has now transferred to the Fremont location). This time, however, was some serious education in the school of hard knocks. I learned that the drop-off counter is actually the edge of a high cliff. Is it too much to expect that the store would provide a railing and trained staff? Certainly there was a failure to communicate. Was it intentional on the part of the groomer or due to a lack of training? Should I conclude that when a groomer suggests that something might be done, it is easier for the groomer than what the customer wants, and probably will be done regardless of what the customer wants? The store manager gave a full refund with no hassle. read more

Should have known better. The customer service of this petsmart has gone down the hill. Ordered curbside pickup and waited FOREVER yet no one came out with my order. Have to end up going into the store personally....which defeats the purpose of curbside pick up. There is no designated parking for curbside and not enough sales associates. Will try to avoid in the future. read more

Really like their doggie day camp in Mountain View. Prices are reasonable and associates are nice.

I left my Labrador Retriever at the Pet Hotel for four days and he lost so much weight that I could see his rib cage when I came to pick him up... He's not neutered, meaning he doesn't get to participate in group playtime, so I know he wasn't moving around a lot, which means they were DRASTICALLY under feeding him. I have left him with other PetSmart locations in the Bay and have never seen anything like this. DO NOT go to the Mountain View location - you will endanger your dog! read more

this is for the pet hotel I was vacationing in the atlantic and had asked my friend to bring my dog for boarding. When she did, she was told that they could not accept my dog because i had not signed agreement for boarding my dog, document that I had brought to the store the evening before my flight and they had lost. The employees handled the situation very badly and without compassion. Fortunately, a friend of a friend was able to take my dog for the few hours we were able to have my daughter to send another form. My dog stayed one week, but came home with a bad form of "upset stomach" I will not bring back my dog to them: employees have no compassion and my dog got very sick read more

Wanted to make a reservation for my two cats for three nights. One person at the front desk was helping a customer, one other customer waiting, and then me. I waited 30 minutes before being helped. Was asked the pets' names, birthdays, and weight before being asked the dates of the reservation. The dates were not available. Before going to the store, I called but was put on hold for 7 minutes. Then I tried to complete the on-line reservation form, but the site had technical difficulties. read more

This is a review for Alicia in the grooming department. She did a great job cutting my goldendoodle. Overall she is a very nice and caring person. I got some major attitude when I asked an employee about dog harnesses. He begrudgingly "helped" me, but by that I me he pointed me in the direction of the leashes and left me. I had my first puppy who was 3 months old at the time and I could have really used some help figuring out what it is that I needed to get him to make sure he's safe and comfortable. This is not the first petsmart to disappoint me, I don't know why I keep giving them extra chances. read more

Came in to buy fish for the first time. Went a few times, customer service here is not good and ended with a bad experience overall each time. No one looks happy to be working there. Everyone has an attitude and is not friendly and always seem too busy and bothered to answer my questions. Alea (sp?) is the only good manager and took time to answer all my questions and was extremely helpful. There are two other managers I've dealt with (wish I knew their names) who turned me off and made me decide to go to PETCO instead. Going to Petco has been such a BETTER EXPERIENCE overall and I am a very happy customer. If you want fish, go there. MUCH BETTER SERVICE. Sorry Petsmart, you lost a customer for life. Please work on your customer service and RUDE managers and maybe things will improve. read more

Z E R O S T A R S W A R N I N G ! DO NOT COME HERE. This place doesn't have TWO STARS FOR NO REASON. This review is solely for the grooming department and store management. I personally have had two experiences that have made me take my business elsewhere. First visit: I called to schedule my two year old GSD for a basic bath. Appointment was scheduled and we were told to provide proof of vaccines, understandably. Upon arriving ten minutes early and providing proof of vaccines we were turned away by CYNTHIA at grooming. My GSD had rabies vaccine administered 2/2018 and time of appointment was 2/2019 (rabies vaccine was good for THREE YRS). Apparently CYNTHIA did not want our business because, although very clear from paper work, we were repeatedly turned away to the point we involved the manager. Upon managers assistance vaccine was miraculously within date, mind you 4 0 M I N U T E S later. After this first visit I mistakenly assumed this was a one time thing as it was the first visit and figured future visits would be a breeze, that's until my most recent visit. Second visit: I had rescheduled appointments twice due to transportation for my dog, however had the decency to give Petsmart notice. Each time I called I was told the grooming department opens at 12P on Sundays, although the hours signage posted in the door states 8A- which I didn't see until this visit. A week prior to my appointment I called to CONFIRM MY APPOINTMENT A WEEK IN ADVANCE and was told my appointment was for the following Sunday at 9A. How if they open at 12P? Idk. Fast forward one week 8:50A check-in we were told by.. (you guessed it) CYNTHIA that the appointment was at 8A!!?? Why was I given the wrong information? Her excuse: They are short staffed. Don't confuse being short staffed with doing a thorough job and communicating. I have only been here twice and see the factor in all of this.. C Y N T H I A. This person doesn't want to work. Point period blank. Guess what someone else will have your job. From the vibe we got we decided not to leave our dog because we don't want her to take it out on the dog. We ask to speak to a manger, we were told his name is Matt or Mathias or Max, and are told that at 9A on a Sunday morning he is on his lunch break. We instead voiced our concerns to Matt (who has only been there three weeks) we were understandably upset but he became defensive and I quote "don't shoot the messanger". Customer service: don't argue with clients, we were not in any way cursing or blaming Matt BUT no accountability was taken even on behalf of his fellow staff. The audacity and lack of accountability these people have. If you come here be prepared to waist your time and be given the run around. TAKE YOUR TIME, BUSINESS AND MONEY ELSEWHERE for your sake and that of your pet. read more
