Michelle is amazing she really helped get us the best deal and aided us when we had questions. This is location has a vast majority of cat food. Definitely enjoyed this location more than the others nearby read more

This place is honestly the Trader Joe's of pet food. They have such a great, curated selection of high-quality items that you just don't see at the big-box chains. The staff is super knowledgeable, and I found exactly what my dog needed without feeling overwhelmed by a dozen different brands. Prices are fair, and the vibe is just so much more approachable. Definitely my new go-to spot for supplies. read more

Love coming here. Great selection of quality foods and the staff is just the absolute best. Knowledgeable, super kind... just all around awesome. Store is always super clean and organized too. Can't express how great they are and hope they new change. read more

Came here after having lunch with a good friend to pick up snacks for a pup. This place is so cute and the staff is so helpful and friendly. Not to mention they had great prices! Was looking for a specific brand, Kiwi and they had it. The staff mentioned that there are package deal and that I would get more treats for the price. And sure did. Will def come here again if I'm in the area! read more

my favorite pet store! I have a young dog who is terrified of men, and we're really working on him getting over his fear. The gentlemen who work at this pet store know exactly how to handle Teddy's fears. They are very gentle and kind when interacting with him and they know just how to get him out of his shell. I couldn't love this store more. read more

This is a great store with high quality pet food and products. The employees are well trained. They have a lot of product that's "buy 3, get 1 free". This location doesn't have a pet washing station like the other locations. Easy parking, great hours. read more

The kindest people work here. From giving you advice to helping you locate items at a different store. This is mine and my dogs favorite pet store! Def with the trip. read more

Their staff at this location is super helpful and professional. I was trying to find out if the store carries a specific brand for my Rottie. I gave them a call just to double check their inventory before I made my way to the store. Not only did the staff check but also had great customer service and patience with all of my questions over the phone. Thank you for making it easier for my family and I. We are first time pet owners so answering my little questions gave us clarity and comfort. Thank you read more

I visited the store at Miramonte and Cuesta Dr. in MV. The clerk's name was Jamaica and she couldn't have been more helpful. I would definitely shop there again and recommend them to others. read more

Kind staff! The wash your own dog area is a gem! There is a low cost vaccination clinic on the weekends. We really enjoy this location.

Great selection of pet food, toys and treats. It's the perfect sized pet food store where you can navigate it by scanning the space when you walk in and because it has a small footprint you can find a friendly employee right away to help you. The selection looks perfect for dogs and cats, not sure about reptiles, birds or amphibians. read more

Good selection of dog food products including fresh and frozen options. I've used Top Dog fresh & frozen food, Stella & Chewy and The Kitchen. read more

I had a great experience at this location. I have switched Tian from Ziwi Peaks' Beef Recipe a fantastic air dried food from New Zealand filled with superfoods, to Vital Essentials a more simple, but freeze dried food with organs, and bones for dense nutrition. VE has more protein than Ziwi Peak, and bit less fat, and about the same amount of crude fiber. I made a video about it on his channel. So far it's going really well. I also found some ear cleaning wipes that I like a lot. I tried using a solution before, and the wipes are much easier for me. I can have trouble with my vision and grip power/Hand strnegth sometimes, so I really appreciate these wipes. I ended up returning the solution to the store I bought it from, and since his ears are mostly open, and not to deep the wipes work really well for him. The employees were really knowledgeable about the products and really helpful, so I wasn't walking more than I needed to~ Would definitely return! This store carries both Ziwi Peak and Vital Essentials. Would recommend both~ read more

Very convenient to shop. Go to spot for me. Friendly, love to take my dog with me here

Today I had an amazing experience shopping at the Mountain View Pet food express. I called and ask Mathew to help me with my exchange. He was so professional and provide me with outstanding service. I was able to find the place and being helped by Marissa and Mathew. They both are great helping me find the perfect size of harness and made my first time experience so wonderful! I will always come back to this location bc of Mathew and Marissa. Thank you so much for doing the exchange so seamless even though I lost my receipt when I bought the crate thinking my pug would use it. read more

These PFEs are popping up everywhere. This one cropped up not too long ago. Was looking for some specific dog toys for a friend and they delivered. Brand new and lots of employees. Dont think many people know about it yet as it was pretty empty. Service is very friendly and theyve got some special going where you can get an additional item when a certain number are purchased. Solid new locale read more

Pet Food Express - Pet Stores Near Me - Mountain View, California

Pet Food Express stores hire the nicest people. They're always friendly and offer you lots of advice. You can tell they're fellow pet owners and lovers. This store is no exception! I come to PFE to buy cat food since their buy 3 get 1 free for same brand canned food is pretty good. This location is also okay too with a very spacious parking lot. read more

We come here about once a month to pick up Kiwi Kitchens air dried lamb for our dog. I have to thank the staff for helping me find Kiwi Kitchens, as I was having issues with Ziwipeak (which I had been feeding him for the past 7 or so years). Since we made the switch, my lil man's output has been A+! Coming here is always such a pleasant experience - the staff are knowledgeable and friendly, and really care about animals. Anytime we've had an issue with a product, they've been happy to resolve it for us. Actually every Pet Food Express I've been to has been consistently awesome - not sure how they do it, but keep up the good work and great culture! read more

I can not recommend this place highly enough. Good merchandise, kind staff, and reasonable prices. Their dog toys are high quality and last. My dog loves coming here just to visit with all the employees. They're pet lovers and it shows. read more

I never thought I'd be writing a glowing review of a big chain but this store has been my sole source of cat food and supplies since I moved to this neighborhood at the start of the pandemic. The people who work here, Phyllis, Adrian and Destiny, are the nicest people! They go out of their way to help, they always have a smile (with their eyes since we're all masked) and they're in here tirelessly every day wearing those masks so my cats have food and litter. Also, the store always has what I need in stock. Keep up the good work, you good people! read more

This place is a gem. They've got the best variety of high-quality dog treats and the staff--and even other customers--have been nothing but friendly and wonderful. I can't say many of the plush toys I've purchased for my teething Shiba puppy have held up, but that's not really their fault. The important thing is this location has a nice neighborhood vibe and we always feel welcome. read more

Pet food express consistently impresses me. Everytime I go in, their staff is so friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful! When my arms were full with a baby and a dog leash, they even helped carry my purchases to my car! On my most recent set of purchases, I came into the store a bit frazzled because my dog had just come out of an emergency surgery. On the first occasion, Matthew helped me pick the best crate for my situation. When I came back in a day later, Sarah saw me agonizing over which food my very stressed and partially paralyzed dog might eat - she was very kind, provided me with some very helpful education, and even gave me a free sample of the "just food for dogs" feed, which turned out to be my dogs new favorite food. I have been a customer of pet food express for over 5 years and go out of my way to shop here. read more

Today I was blown away by the excellent customer service with the two awesome ladies at this Miramonte location. First I was greeted properly and not just going through the motion by Tricia. I asked her for her opinion on what dog food I should buy to replace her outgrown food. She recommended me a brand but checked with her Manager Katie vice just shooting from the hip and just blow smoke up my you know what... They we're both very genuine in their approach and gave me plenty of options and even insured about their store policy about trying out their food. By the one of the best policies around. This store will have my business because my wife and I are loyal to any hood business. Please come by and visit this store. read more

Pet Food Express - Inside - Pet Stores Near Me - Mountain View, California

I'm so excited that this Pet Food Express opened near us! We walked our corgi down to the new store today for a new toy and treat, and were pleasantly surprised at how friendly everyone was as well as the quality of all the toys, treats and food. It's really well stocked for the size of the store and it carries a ton of grain free options. Because it's the grand opening, everything was 20% off and there were lots of sample treats on hand which our dog really enjoyed (obviously). This will definitely be our new pet supply store! read more

It's a store with overpriced pet food and toys. I knew that walking in got what I needed and left. Is what it is nothing else to say

I am so excited that this is now near my work! The new workers were very friendly and they have a 20% off sale going on for the first month. I bought A LOT of dog treats. My dog has a very sensitive tummy and can't eat very many processed dog treats. Their selection of antlers, bully sticks, and these different meat logs were great! Definitely going there twice a month for my puppies treats. One downside: I know that this is not their core competency, but they have a low selection of dog houses. meh I can live with it. read more

I absolutely love pet Food express. Everyone is always super friendly and helpful in their stores. They are also knowledgeable. I'm typically pretty thrifty and will always look for the best prices. When you go into their Retail stores, they have this by three get one free standing special that always beats online pricing. I'm also a big fan of the just for dogs topper that I put on my dogs kibble. He was getting bored of the kibble and now the topper he eats everything. read more

The peeps who work here are seriously the friendliest customer service you can get at a pet store. They really know their stuff and love their animals, and it shows. I always take advantage of the buy 3 get 4th free sale here for cat food. There's also a nice selection of cat toys and of course a ton of dog stuff and whatnot. Decent location so it's not that out of the way for me, and there's never a wait. read more

If you are looking for knowledgeable staff and high quality food for your fur baby, this is the place to be. I went in looking for a better quality dog food than my current one and the staff knew everything about all products. My dog has more energy and I know she is eating the best food for her breed. I guess my only issue was the lazy employee who just stood around, leaning on the counter. I think his name was Peter. He even talked about other customers loudly with no sense of professionalism that all the other employees show. read more

Quite simply the best pet food store, great people, great brands, one useful ongoing sale: 4 cans of wet food (from the same brand) for the price of 3. read more

Having left California, I have to say, the thing I miss most is Pet Food Express in Mountain View. There really is no other pet store as good. The staff will always greet you with a warm welcome, and they are the most knowledgeable employees I have ever known. Not only are they well trained on all the products, but they can provide life saving information on what can help your pet. The store is always clean and organized and they only carry the best products. As we don't have Pet Food Express on the East Coast, I have had to search for a pet store. The big box stores are, well, big box stores... Messy, mostly unhealthy products, and non-existent staff. The holistic mom-and-pop stores are hard to find, but those that I have found, are not staffed with knowledgeable people. I didn't realize what a treasure Pet Food Express was until I didn't have access to it anymore. If you are on the fence about where to shop for your fur-baby, and you live in California, look no further. And of all their stores that I have been to, Mountain View definitely takes the cake. I love that the owners want to keep it a local company, but the rest of the country needs you! read more

We had our cats on supermarket cat food, they would lose their lunch at least once a week, after doing a bit of research on the bad ingredients in the mainstream brands decided to step it up. Some of the high end foods are ridiculously expensive and it seems the more expensive the less appealing to our finicky cats! After trying various brands we had success with Nulo, it's affordable with the buy 3 get 1 free deal at PFE. I just purchased 24 cans and the total was still a few dollars less than any of the online resellers. The staff is very knowledgeable, and as it is a small store compared to the big box stores, getting in and out is quick and easy. And if the cats change their minds (which they have been known to do) exchanging for another brand is really easy. read more

Love this place. Nice and friendly staff, and cool promotions or sales from time to time.

My dog and I love this place. In fact, he gets excited in the parking lot and runs to get inside. Once there, the staff greets him by name and fuss over him. Each employee is very knowledgeable about dogs and food and they take their time with you and make sure your specific needs are met. They don't buy anything from China and they truly care about you and your pet. I can't say enough good things about this PFE. Two paws up!! read more

Nice clean store with very helpful staff. I have a very picky maltipoo who won't eat until she's starving so I thought I'd get a variety of foods so she's not bored. I walked in and was promptly greeted and asked if I needed help. I did, and a nice friendly worker walked me to the section with food for fussy dogs, explained the different brands as well as pros and cons of grain additives, and then suggested some other things I'd never consider, like adding fish oil to her food. I ended up buying more than I planned but my dog does finally eat a bit more. In case my dog did not like the food, I could bring the leftover in for a refund, and they donate the food to animal shelters. I am a very satisfied customer and will definitely be back. read more

Fantastic, friendly employees and super close! It's like the Whole Foods of dog supply stores. A ton of healthy options, which we love.

Excellent people and products! Note that there isn't a pet wash station at this location. Lots of parking and close to Safeway so that could be a plus. read more

All of the staff is friendly and about 90% of them are very knowledgeable in pet goods. I'm a frequent flyer here and they've done their best to help me keep my cats and dog happy and healthy. I've only run into one or two people who couldn't answer my questions about a product, I kind of wish they searched for someone more knowledgeable to answer my question instead of leaving me to politely leave empty handed. Other than that they've earned their 5 stars in my book. There's a brunette with shoulder length hair who often remembers me and make my and my pups visit very pleasant! read more

Today was my first-ever visit to Pet Food Express on Miramonte Avenue in Mountain View. What I needed was quite simple, and Kelly helped me to find it. The place is clean, well-organized, and pet-friendly. The courtesy, professionalism, and friendliness of the staff exceeded my expectations. Though this store is not near my home, I will definitely make it my pet food store of choice. read more
