I'm writing to share my absolutely STELLAR experience with Pet Sitting to the MAX!! Amy and her team are truly Amazing, and I wholeheartedly recommend their services. I have entrusted my furry family members to their care for many years, and they have CONSISTENTLY demonstrated their TRUSTWORTHINESS and genuine love for animals (and their humans) :-). What I appreciate most is their excellent COMMUNICATION. I always receive frequent updates, complete with adorable pictures and videos of my dogs. It is clear how happy our dogs are when they go to Pet Sitting to the MAX! They practically leap out of the car and pull us to the door because they are going to see their friends! It's so heartwarming and makes me feel so at-ease knowing they are so happy there. And it's heartwarming to see other dogs reacting with the same enthusiasm! Their team is also incredibly accommodating, handling meal time and even giving the necessary medications with care. Our dog Zephyr loves going there. The first time she was a little hesitant and had never been to a dog daycare but after being there one day she gets excited when we pull into the parking lot and has a great time. After a day there she comes home tired and sleeps through the night even though she's still an active puppy. So it's great for her to get some exercise and socialization too. Pet Sitting to the MAX is an amazing doggy daycare! We've been bringing our mini Goldendoodle Kobe here since he was a puppy and we come just about every other day to have a fun day of play, care, and love. He's able to get all his energy out and come back to us tired, happy, and socialized. The staff is outstanding: friendly, warm, and welcoming whenever I see them. I REALLY appreciate the staff's excellent communication by sending us photos and videos of him throughout the day. We found the #1 doggie daycare in California! We recently moved across country from Philadelphia and looked at every doggy daycare/day/pack adventures in the Bay Area and nothing compares to PTSM. Our Shiba Inu loves her "home" away from home and always runs into daycare without a second look back. From the moment we reached out to Tommy, he was very communicative and accommodating. He even got our dog to eat on a normal schedule (all you Shibe owners will understand), which no daycare has done before. The entire staff is amazing and truly loves looking after our dogs. We've interacted with just about everyone and we get daily photos/videos of our dog playing from Christina, Amy, and Manolo. We also use their dog transportation services and yes, our girl loves hanging out with Troy in the "bark bus." One thing we noticed right away is the facilities are so clean and there are comfy beds, blankets, toys for the dogs. A big bonus is they have a door that leads to an outdoor space and our Shibe loves to sunbathe outside. There is nowhere else we will send our dog unless they replicate PSTM - thank you to the best crew! FYI, they did have a waitlist but we were accepted soon after so if you're interested in having your dog join their pack, definitely contact Tommy/PSTM early! read more

I started bringing my mini goldendoodle, Sunny, here when he was just 5 months old. He loves it here so much! They get quite a few puppies so this was almost like a puppy preschool for him. It's hard to come up with a review that offers anything different than all the other rave reviews here. PSTTM really is the best. All of the staff are warm and caring. They genuinely seem to enjoy taking care of the dogs. Our 13 month old pup has severe separation anxiety when my son or I aren't with him unless he is at PSTTM. He is so eager to get inside PTSSM when we get there. The staff sends pics and videos throughout the day. They offer 1/2 day packages and are flexible about the hours you choose for the 1/2 day - a huge perk. Very grateful to have this amazing doggy daycare just a few miles away. When my husband and I took our then 1-year old puppy to Pet Sitting four years ago, we did not know how much she would fall in love with the place and people, who have consistently treated her (and the spirited brother we acquired for her a year ago) like family despite her antics. We LOVE this service! Very affordable and professional. We have one cat, and she is our baby. We always have Ruth come and check on Boo. She does an outstanding job. She sends pictures after every visit, as well as notes regarding how our cat is doing, eating, etc. Ruth also cleans the litter box every visit, and takes into consideration our notes regarding our cat (we recently switched her to being and indoor/outdoor cat). We've had such a great experience with Pet Sitting to the Max! We started bringing our Auggie girl, Vegas, to them last November. As others have described, the wonderful team (Amy, Tommy, Tammy, and several more) have mastered the art of helping pets feel loved and owners reassured. Vegas would simply drag me from the car, across the parking lot, and into the building each day, imperiously pounding on their door if it wasn't opened instantly. Then, without a backwards glance, she would rush in to play with her buddies for long, joyous hours, coming home happily exhausted at the end of each day. Everything we'd hoped for! The team is wonderful about sending photos and videos each day, so that you know exactly what your fur baby is up to and who their friends are. The facility is spotlessly fresh and clean. The people that I've interacted with at Pet Sitting to the Max have all been friendly, and I've been so thankful that Amy was able to help me during the busy summer months. I had a bad experience with a Rover sitter who only came for 8 minutes per visit and brought a friend to my house, so I was looking forward to working with a company of professionals. Unfortunately, Jasmin's visits were quite disappointing. I had asked Amy how long the cat visits are supposed to be, and she said 30 minutes. However, I have cameras, and I could see that Jasmin also came for 5-8 minutes most of the time! There were a few times that she came longer, but only because she brought her 3 year old son. She didn't ask for permission to bring him. She just brought him and told me that he liked my cat. I felt uneasy but assumed that she was watching him carefully around my cat. Only when I got home and reviewed videos did I see that he was mostly unsupervised, left alone to play with my cat and my kids' toys. He took my kids' bubble wand and spilled the soap all over my front porch. Jasmin found the empty bubble wand pieces on my porch the next day and put it back in my house. No apology. Her son also tried to put something on my cat's neck while she was off doing something else. She also left scattered litter on the floor instead of sweeping it. I really feel ripped off. My cat didn't get the proper socialization and companionship that I paid for. I thought Jasmin's behavior was unprofessional for a cat sitter, and I wrote this feedback in the client survey. But I didn't receive a response. I am so disappointed that this company was no better than a Rover sitter, and now I need to find another cat sitting company for next time. read more

PSTTM is the BEST! We've had our little dude go here for the past 3 years, and we can't imagine life without PSTTM. The whole crew there are lovely, compassionate, friendly, responsible, and of course, excellent with the dogs. We have used them multiple times for a year now and I have been very happy with the service. We always get Jamie for our cats. She texts me photos and sometimes video of my cats every day. She cleans up after my cats (I have a cat who sprays) and collects mail. I also like that there is a brick & mortar storefront near El Camino and El Monte (used for dog day care) that I can drop by anytime to give them and collect the key. The owner Amy is friendly and donates some of the proceeds to the local Humane Society. I've used many different sitters, mostly independent, and compared to them, this place is so much more professional including the service contract, pet info intake forms, and online payment with a credit card. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a professional pet sitting service. read more

I had a great experience with Pet Sitting to the Max! I needed someone to watch my cats while I was away on a two week vacation, and my vet recommended Pet Sitting to the Max. When I called they were friendly and responsive and asked that I fill out their pet sitting form, which I did. It was detailed and asked a lot of questions about my cats' routines, food, treats, toys, medications, etc. We then scheduled a time for Amy to come by and do a meet and greet with the kitties, which was a breeze since Amy was flexible and responsive. I got regular updates about how the kitties were doing, along with photos, the entire time I was away which helped quell some of my hover-parent anxieties. When I got back the kitties seemed as cheerful as they could be under the circumstances, and their litter box was cleaner than we usually keep it. It was a great deal for us and the kitties: us, because the rates are so reasonable, and the kitties because they hate being boarded. They also brought in the mail and took out the trash so that was a nice plus. Win win! Pet Sitting to the Max made our trip stress free and I'd definitely call them again. read more

I don't normally write any yelp reviews, but wanted to mention what a great job Jasmin did for us while we were out over Christmas break. We have two bonded sister cats at our house, one of whom does not do very well with strangers and never trusted the previous sitter. She spent a lot of time hiding under the bed while we were away for that trip, and would end up not going in the litter box as she was stressed. Jasmin took the time to understand our concerns and get acquainted with both cats during the meet and greet. Though they were still shy when we were away, they broke out of their shell quickly and got along very well with her. I followed along on her progress as I would get some great pictures and snippets every day via message. We returned to a clean house and a stress free pair of cats, which was a very pleasant change of pace. Pet Sitting to the Max also gets bonus points from me for having someone available to pet sit over the busy holiday period on relatively late notice, and very quickly handling an unexpected change in schedule (I assumed I would forfeit all or part of my deposit, but I was refunded in full right away - no questions asked). read more

Stella LOVES going to PSTTM. I received daily photos of their activities & I can just see how much fun Stella was having. She was literally smiling in every picture. This review, I regret to say, is LONG overdue for a woman (and the company she owns) who has gained the trust and accolades of THIS nearly neurotic dog mom. My girl NIbbles turned 14 in May of this year, and was diagnosed with Degenerative Myelopathy in 2010. It's slowly progressed to her having a bit of difficulty getting up (once she's on her feet, she's ok), and since I live in a second-story apartment, this entails carrying her down the stairs and either carrying her back up or boosting her up the stairs by her bottom. Back in July, I left Nibs in the care of a boarding facility in Sunnyvale whose services I'd used before. While she became mildly ill (diarrhea for a few days) after that first visit, this second visit left her with liquid stools that she sometimes could not control, and difficulty walking. Needless to say, I will not be taking her back there again. (Send me a private message if you want details.) I work 12-hour nightshifts and could not fathom leaving her alone during her recuperation for the 14 hours I'd be gone, and searched frantically for a dogsitter who would not only come to my apartment to dog sit, but wouldn't mind ferrying my 30-lb mutt up and down the stairs and might have to clean up a mess while she convalesced. Things in the universe aligned and sent me Amy...and for that, I will be forever grateful. During her first visit, the customary meet-and-greet, she got down on her hands and knees to say hello to Nibs the first time, which gave me a genuine sense that she really truly cared about Nibbles. She then broke out her notes and asked MANY appropriate questions, regarding meds, bathroom habits, and appropriate toys and treats.. As the visit progressed, I could feel my anxiety at leaving Nibs melting away. That was back in July. A few months on, and I'm still happily keeping Amy's services for Nibs (we're down to just one walk late at night while I'm at work) and I could not be happier. Amy is communicative, flexible and just a genuinely wonderful, sweet person, both to me and, more importantly, to Nibs. This is a verbose review, and I thank you for reading this far, but I hope the sheer length of this review helps convey how absolutely wonderful Amy is. If any of you love your dog as much as I do, and are in need of someone to look after your poochster just as lovingly as you do, do yourself and your dog a favor, and hire Amy. I have had the pleasure of knowing Amy the owner of PET SITTING To The MAX for 10 years and have used her pet sitting service for that time. I've never had to worry about my animals or the care that they received while in her care. Fees are reasonable and my pets have been looked after and well cared for. Services offered include bringing in mail, watering plants and even taking garbage cans to the curb! Recently I've had the pleasure of meeting and working with Christina. We had a meet and greet session where she met my pets, asked questions about them, took notes, and got to interact with them prior to my leaving. I appreciate that she went the extra mile by updating me daily, and sending me pics and videos of my pets while I was away. It was reassuring to see them and to watch how she interacted with them. My pets well being is my primary concern when away and I was reassured that they were in good hands with Christina and Pet Sitting To The Max. I am now being charged $380.00 for someone named Amy Sibbing for the same time in August 2019. I took my dog there for daily pet care several times. I booked a walk a day for 2 days for my 2 year old American Pit Bull Terrier Mix, taking advantage of the "free walk" offer via yelp check-in. I was leaving my rescue dog home for the first time and wanted to hire a dog walker so my family didn't need to move their schedules around to take my dog out on walks. Lisa came over for an initial meeting and spoke with me about how the dog walking would work and met my dog Indy. Things seemed ok and although Lisa seemed to be a little inexperienced/unsure at first, she was polite and cordial, putting in the effort to get to know what I wanted for my pup when I was gone. The following day, I left for my weekend trip. Since my rescue dog is still dealing with separation anxiety, I let my family know that if Indy seemed too stressed, it was fine to just send Lisa home rather than force Indy to walk. Well, turns out that's exactly what happened. Though Indy did not respond well to being walked, I was told Lisa attempted to make it work until my family told her that it was fine and to skip the walks. In the meantime, I emailed Karina at PSttM to explain the situation, cancelled the second walk, and told her to go ahead and charge me for one walk since Lisa came over and tried. Karina was very understanding and actually offered to credit me for 2 walks to be used at a later time or refund me for both walks. She went above the standard that I expected and I look forward to using this dog walking service again soon. read more

Amy is professional, personable, prompt and trustworthy. During the interview process she was really thorough and displayed a passion for what she does. She provides quality and loving care for your pets - her #1 priority is making sure your pets are well cared for. I noted that my dog had a behavioral change and displayed anxiety/fear over her food bowl and I appreciated that Amy worked with my dog and hand-fed her in order to eventually get my dog to eat from the bowl. While my 2 shih-tzus were in her care, Amy sent updates letting me know that they had gone on their walk, what happened, and any interesting (and cute!) behavior they may have displayed. My husband and I recently traveled to Mountain View to help care for an ill family member. At our family member's request we continued her pups regular routine by taking him to doggy daycare at Pet Sitting to the Max even though we were there and could help care for him too. She (and her pup) absolutely love Amy and her team. Tommy is absolutely wonderful as well. With his tail wagging and dancing with excitement, Bentley entered the daycare building day after day and suddenly couldn't have cared less if we were even there. It's obvious when a dog is well cared for and based on his repeated behavior, that's exactly what happens at Pet Sitting to the Max. I wish my experience with pet sitting were the five stars others have had, that's why I picked them and why I'm bothering to share an alternative experience, so people see more sides to the service and can make sure they get what they want from it. I also liked that the price was reasonable and that some sitters were comfortable with exotic pets and could handle them well. I truly think the individuals I interacted with are kind people who care about animals and I'm appreciative they cared for my pets. However, there were a few logistical things that could have gone more smoothly to reduce uncertainty and last minute stress like reviewing the contract and payment during the visit and helping to coordinate more than one sitter (ideally all able to communicate by text and email). There were also several areas where service didn't meet my expectations upon return around basic cleaning and a specific grooming request like perch cleaning, cleaning any cat puke (yes), and brushing an older cat's back occasionally to avoid matted fur. Unfortunately, I found a large mat had formed that I couldn't brush out without hurting/irritating her further and had to cut it out. Maybe an intake form or contract that allows for detailed or complex instructions the sitter or owner writes out or checks boxes for could help as a reminder? I'm sure the sitters have a lot to remember and giving them the benefit of the doubt, perhaps more documentation of requests and preferences would improve satisfaction in some situations. read more

Long overdue - For the last 5 years, Pet Sitting to the Max has taken fantastic care of our pups! So grateful to have this great service we can count on. They make dog ownership so much easier! Our dogs go to daycare several days per week. We know the pups have a good time because they are so excited when they get picked up. The staff seems equally excited as they all seem to genuinely love animals. They take our pups to the vet as well. The transportation to and from daycare is so helpful. When we decide to head out for a long day, we can count on Amy to walk the dogs. She and her staff respond very quickly to requests and have been quite flexible and accommodating. This review is long overdue. Amy came to watch over my cats while we took off to Vegas to visit my parents. From the very beginning when she came over to check out our place and the pets, she was professional, asked all the right questions about feeding, mess, hiding locations, and habits. Amy was always on time, took pictures of the cats and texted them to me and gave me continuous updates. On our way to Vegas we had gotten into a bad car accident which delayed our return. She was completely flexible and offered to get additional cat food if necessary. The pricing was more than reasonable, the invoicing was professional... I don't know what I would do without Jamie... My 16-year old grumpy little feline dude needs subcutaneous fluids every three days and pain meds daily. We got a call from a random person saying they had our baby! Needless to say, my search started for a reliable, professional and knowledgeable alternative. I love their flexibility in scheduling - if I had an emergency, I know they would do everything they could to accommodate. One of the challenges of my selection process was that many daycares/boarding didn't allow Pit Bull Terriers. Not only is this annoying from a discriminative perspective, but I don't want anyone who has preconceptions about my dog taking care of her anyway! What I liked about MAX is they had experience with Pit Bulls and had even owned one in the past.
