I go to the salon often to get my dog's nails trimmed. The ladies that work in the salon are super friendly, and they always do a great job with my little beagle's nails. I used to take her to the vets office, and she hated going there, so Petsmart it is. It is cheaper and they get her done pretty fast. I highly recommend going midweek either night or day. Weekends are super crowded in the parking lot there, and it is hard to find parking. Also, the store staff is friendly as well. There is always some available to point you in the right direction. read more

Horrible place. I brought my dog in for his grooming appointment and they wouldn't take him without his rabies shot but when I called they said IF you have it. Honestly such horrible service. I will never go back to this PetSmart again. If I can give this less than half a star I would. I drove a good 25 minutes just for them to tell me no when they should've been specific with his shots and what is required. Horrible freakin place. I am so upset I wanted to cry. I booked a grooming appointment with Vanessa a week prior for February 1, 2021 and upon arrival was told the prices had increased due to the minimum wage increases. I told the staff since there was no mention of this when I booked that I would only pay what I was quoted upon booking. They were reluctant but did honor the original charge. The grooming took longer than expected but I did receive a phone call telling me of the change. When I picked up my dog she did not have the bow/bandana nor the cologne spritz that was to be included in the top dog add on package. I asked about the bow and they said they only had bandanas and asked if I wanted one. I told them I would since I paid for it. I did turn the bandana into a bow. My dog had loose hair flying off of her and we brushed her at home afterwards and there was a lot of hair that came off of her. She did look better after the grooming but I was surprised at how much hair came off of her at home. -see picture- I won't be returning due to this and the fact they didn't do everything I paid for. She also was not very happy when I picked her up and was very tender on her back side when we brushed her at home. However, there are a few notable differences as compared to other locations: The good: As the building is brand new, the location is definitely clean and bright. & Yesterday, I found a ton of items on special as compared to other stores, so those plentiful deals will bring me back. I got a huge stocking of like 9 toys for only $2.67!!!! The bad: This one is super tiny! I think they missed the mark on the lease here. This is the worst petsmart ever they are so rude and try to up charge you on any grooming. I brought my Miniature schnauzer in and asked for the regular breed cut they say its 52 dollars. Then she tells me that it's going to be 82. I asked for what and she gave me some excuse that its takes longer to do a schnauzer breed cut. When they advertise on line for 52 for breed cut and bath. I am very pissed off at these people will never come to this location again. The Temecula location has never charged me more for her hair cut. Will be going back to that location for now on. Austin is so awesome!!!! I have a difficult dog whom nobody has been able to groom, but Austin put up with and worked with my dog. I've taken my dog to him twice already and both times I've been extremely happy with my results. I will definitely continue bringing Bud to get groomed with him. I'm only taking one star away because every time I go they seem to take 3-4 hours to groom my dog and it would be nice if I can drop him off, go shop at the nearby stores and be back in an hour. I don't believe it's the employees fault though because they're all awesome and very helpful, there's just room for the store as a whole to get a better booking policy so it doesn't take hours from the drop off to the pick up point. I occasionally stop in at this store for pet supplies. Attention to customer service was 5 stars at opening of this location. However, I entered this store three different times this week. I was welcomed once and never offered any assistance. Also this store previously did not smell. When you enter you are immediately hit by the reeking smell of dead fish, and stagnant Beta water. I fully understand that supplies and staff can be limited, as I work in Grocery. My visits this week were not about COVID safety measures, or lack of supplies. Their were team members available, they made eye contact with me. It's sad to say I had to leave this location three different times, with empty hands. I went in because I have been neurotically worried about my Betta and have spent the last couple days google educating myself on caring for him. I wanted to buy a better quality food and while in there I asked a guy ( didn't look at name tag :( ) about him and oh my gosh was this guy knowledgeable and happy to help me care for my fish. He gave me a lot of tips to give him a healthy environment and diet and I am extremely grateful and feel silly I didn't just go straight there for help in the first place . I've taken my dog here a few times now for grooming and have always been impressed picking up my furry little guy. This last time I went in the guy Ryan had me sign a paper that they haven't had me sign before and then he told me that was for agreeing on the price.. I thought no big deal I've always paid around $40 +- but when I picked him up his groom did not look good at all and Ryan wasn't there but I was billed $71 for a 10lb Shih Tzu and when I was dropping off the girl working there had just gave a guy a price of $70 for a 60lb German Shepherd. When i pay $40 he looks handsome when I pick him up. I didn't wanna make a big deal to the girl that was there seeing that she didn't groom him and then to top it off that night I noticed my dog licking his private area a lot and when I looked he had been cut down there. NOT COOL! I will not be going back there and really don't like calling someone out on here but do beware. read more

I just recently moved to this area and was using a private groomer I was referred to and really was not that thrilled. I had used PetSmart grooming where I lived prior in AZ and San Luis Obispo and decided to go back to them. This was my first time taking my mini Goldendoodle to this Menifee store location, but saw great reviews on groomer Christie G. so I booked her and my dog looked so beautiful. The best anyone in any city has groomed her and just what I asked for. I would give Christie G. 10 stars. She specializes in poodles and made in instant connection with my "Paris". I watched the other groomers give love and hugs to the animals as they were all grooming. The staff seems to all have a passion for what they do and it shows. First time I've ever taken my dog to a groomer. I was apprehensive at first because of all the horror stories you read about. Jeanette was my dog, Max's, groomer. We talked about what I wanted done (he's a terrier and I like some of his scruff, it was just getting out of hand!) and how he reacts to his nails being clipped. I had called last minute and they were able to take him in and he was all done in about 3 hours. His cut was perfect, just what we had discussed. She said he was a very good boy and he seemed much more relaxed than when I had dropped him off. They sent me a picture of him when he was done, too. we love petsmart but not at the moment ---went first time for grooming at this location in Menifee -- using Petsmart grooming for many years (in Murrieta) every 8-10 weeks asked for full face and shortest clipper on body.. as usual . "please no pointy faces " -- got pointy faces /short hair all over face / a bit crooked & lopsided mustaches but not too bad ... I don't mind the short haircuts and i guess they looked alright .. the real boggling issue here is a certain policy -- The girl returned the first dog to me and she noticed that she missed aprox 2" clump spot so she corrected it. -- thank you The girl returned a second dog to me and I noticed a streak down the back. asked if she can fix it --she said their policy is to let the person who groomed the dog fix it so I would have to come back the next day because that person was gone! ... "I don't have time to come back the next day" "I give you permission to fix it... " she really hesitated --all it needed was to have the streak buzzed over to smooth to the same length ... asked if a manager could fix it. I was told there's no managers in there ... she thentold me I could walk around the store for five minutes while she fixes it. --it's a 1 minute fix --I'll wait. She fixed it. --thank you -- I give good tips because I know the service industry is a thankless job been there done that ... --petsmart really needs to rethink these policies -- if that ever happened again I would probably get my money back for a job not done and refusal to fix if they refuse to fix... and not have to come back the next day. they should not put their employees through the stress of not allowing them to fix and by not having a strong manager/leader in their grooming dept... that can take initiative to resolve issues.. --THIS WAS AN EASY FIX ! 3 for the cuts and fixing 0- for the pPetsmart policy 5- for the girl who fixed and risked taking the lead --way to go keep it up!! wish i could give 5 to Petsmart -- read more

Made my appointment with Cameron. At first she seemed super sweet and helpful. Over the phone. When I showed up at 905 for my 9am appointment that was pushed back because of the dog before. Cameron was immediately snarky. She made a huge deal about not being able to cut my dogs nails because they are already short. So being immediately irritated being told she was refusing part of the service I paid for AND after her asking what my dog was mixed with, "maybe a little boxer in there" um no ma'am he is a papered purebred dog, I filled out the system information correctly. So I let her know that's fine I just need him bathed I'll take him somewhere else for a nail trim. And this is where her snark peaked "good luck finding somewhere to have that done, I already told you they were already short enough." So I calmly informed her that I could certainly deal with a whole lot less of her snark, she actually replied "well I'm just letting you know I said his nails are already short" well, no they're not. He's back on his pads and his nails drag when he's stepping off, but like I said I just need less snark and my dog washed. Thanks. On a side note his duclaws are a razor sharp point, so we will see if she puts forth any energy at all. The other workers just stood there and let her be a snarky beast which tells me customer service isn't a priority. I haven't even gotten my dog back yet and can tell you for certain I'll never shop petsmart again. Additionally she put a teeny-tiny half inch flimsy grooming leash on my 90 pound American Bulldog that once she had it in place left her about 6inches to lead my dog with. My dog can pull a 250 pound person uphill. What made her think handling my dog with that was even safe? Then she asked if he had shown aggressive behavior and I let her know absolutely not but that she shouldn't let someone walk up to my dog and allow them to pet him when she is handling him and her reply was "oh ok so he seems to be territorial aggressive ok" no. He is not. But I do not let strangers pet my dog so if someone approaches him in that manner he is not familiar. I was called 16mins after I dropped him off. His glands were not expressed, his nails were not trimmed because Cameron who doesn't even know her dog breeds declared his nails too short, and he is about 3/4 clean. AND they tacked an additional $15 fee on without telling me, which I did not end up paying. This is absolutely unacceptable. The store manager authd the removal of the $15 fee but she essentially has her employees back and cares zero about customer service. They said my dog is scared of water so I'm sure that's why they did a half way job but that doesn't excuse the facts. That extra $15 charge could have gone to spending a few more mins and, oh... I don't know maybe got more filth from his coat? And I would have happily paid it. But no. Terrible service, terrible attitude, low knowledge base/quality, price gouging at the register without prior knowledge and the service provided in comparison with the money spent does not equal. Additionally, if my dog had been the handful she claimed he was it would have taken more than 16 mins start to finish to wash him and towel dry him "three times" as she claimed and to clean his ears and express his glands which was all supposed to be included. They thought they were going to get away with not providing the services listed because I told her that her snark wasn't necessary. But it won't end here. read more

So me and my husband bought a new puppy and we always shop at Petsmart it's close to my house and I've always just shopped there for all of my dogs well anyways So We went there yesterday and bought a whole bunch of puppy supplies for our new puppy a cage ,some toys ,food ,water bowl, bed ,all the necessities right , so we go home and I realize the cage is too small for my new pupp , so I go back this morning which is 7-6-20 and I go to return my puppy cage and get a bigger one as soon as I put the cage up the lady with a very rude and disrespectful tone says this cage was not even rung up , and I said excuse me ma'am u don't have to speak to me in this manner I paid for this cage yesterday how could I have just walked out of here with this cage ? She snatched it from my hands didn't let me say one word and jus kept accusing me And I am a regular customer here I had my receipt in hand but still insisted she was right , I couldn't belive the way I was being treated, the cage was snatched from me before I can say anything Me and my family will not be returning to this petsmart at all ever again they have very poor customer service quality I encourage all my pet lovers to go to PETCO instead, if you don't want crappy customer service do not go to this PETSMART. This store was my go to pet stop until I purchased two anti-barking devices at the suggestion of an employee and with reassurances i could return whatever didnt work without issue... Tried to return with both my reciept and phone number used at the time of purchase, but because my debit card used has been compromised and cancelled wouldnt return my money to me... So what was the point of giving my number and holding onto my reciept? Treating customers like thieves is never a great way to keep people coming back... If I could rate 0 stars I would. I drove 20 minutes to PetSmart for 3 items and a return. I wasn't wearing a mask for this stupid Corona or whatever. The manager came up to me and she had the WORST attitude. She told me I had to wear a mask. I told her I don't have to because we are not required, she said something like "well it's OUR policies so therefore you have to leave." But what I find so funny is how I walked into PetSmart on Sunday without a mask and got told nothing about wearing a mask. I think PetSmart needs to up their game and get their act together. This was my first time that I'm disappointed with pet smart grooming service. I have 2 Maltese and this is not there first time getting groomed at this location in Menifee. The groomer called me and says that she's not able to finish my dogs grooming due to her knot and matted fur on her back paws and there was dried pee. There explanation to me that they don't have the KIND of a blade to remove the mat also possible an infection due to the dried pee. So she recommended me to call a vet, so I called my Vet and explained to them what the groomer told me. The Vet says that it was odd that for a pet groomer is not able to remove the mats and not having a certain blade. I picked up my dog and my dog looked like she had a mullet. First of all my dog is 10 yes old and she can't easily walk plus it was just a dried pee. I took her back home washed it up it was fine. And there is no infection on her skin. So my vet recommended another grooming for pet I called them and also explained what happened and the lady I talked to was also surprise that the groomer was not able to do it. read more

ZERO STARS! Worst grooming experience again!!! I tried to give them a second chance on grooming my Yorkie puppy, but after making the appointment they wouldn't service him. I called multiple times to alter my appointment due to traffic and finally landed on 2:30pm. I was asked about his rabies twice and there was no problem. He's 4 months old yet they supposedly "don't groom that age without one". They had his birthday entered incorrectly and still no one thought to tell me not to come in without a rabies vaccine. They only tell me AFTER arriving but not during the multiple phone calls I made THE very same day... The previous time Itold them to trim around his eyes and to leave the hair on top. I pick up my puppy who usually sports a bow to see all of his hair cut off! Eric the store manager was nice and understanding and offered a refund. I gave them another try and this is what I get. A waste of time! The grooming manager female (the heavier set one) is extremely rude and gives a mocking attitude. How she made it to managent is beyond me since she was the one who dealt with my dog during the chop job. I had no idea THAT was the department manager! read more

so i've been going here for grooming for a long time. i've had good experiences but lately it has been so bad and i'm a very flexible person. i first set up an appointment 2 months ago for a dog grooming and they told me a date. the next day i had a photo shoot so i was happy i chose a day before. i get a call saying that i had to re schedule my appointment. i was frustrated but i let it go. so i scheduled weeks after for a groom. because there aren't a lot of days with my time preference. today i come in and comes to find out the same guy that rescheduled me the first time clocked out and went home the day of my appointment. the guy was not there so i couldn't fault the lady that told me but i was frustrated more than ever. read more
