Beware. I purchased a dog trainer to help train my barking dog. The sunbeam device did not work and I knew this within the first hour of use. I then went to return to the Pets Mart and was told by the cashier that they do not except returns. I am sure this is due to Covid-19 but she could not give me any information on when they would. So a warning to all pet lovers. Do not purchase anything you are not familiar with and used before. You will not be able to return. I will Shop at a local shop moving forward. Came here to find a replacement for Sharky, my prized Red Tailed Black Shark, who recently passed on to Fishy Heaven after being stuck in an aquarium decoration for a few days. We've rescued him once before and replaced the old decoration with a different one, but unfortunately the outcome was just the same which led to his demise. FYI: beware of purchasing those huge fancy structures with intricate, narrow holes from PetSmart if you have a fish that likes to cozy up inside -- they may not be able to find their way out. I hate to refer to them as 'death traps' but in my opinion and experience, they definitely are. Even though they didn't have anymore RTBS in stock, the employee in the fish section was extremely helpful by calling the nearby PetSmart's that do. Horrible customer service in their grooming department. I've had my dog groomed here 4 times in the past two years. I usually paid around $110 and never got more than a decent result. Only used them when I needed to get my dog groomed and the other places ($45-$60) were booked up. Today I went in since I wanted to get my Golden Retriever groomed for Thanksgiving since we were having a bunch of people over. Every time I go in they insist I need to pay for a Ferminator treatment (extra $30) which I refuse. Every time my dog comes out smelling fine, and looking better than he went in. This time when I refused the treatment they complained it would take a lot of extra brushing if they couldn't use the Ferminator and I was refused service so I walked out. Sorry, I'm not paying $150 for you to give my dog a bath I think $120 is more generous for a bath and a basic cut. read more

Last Friday evening, I went to Petsmart to buy some aquarium equipment, including a wheel-filter replacement for my BioWheel™ filter. When it was scanned, the system said "do not sell this item". Everyone was very mystified and confused including the manager. There were five of these simple little filter-wheels on the shelf. "Maybe they're discontinued", offered the salesgirl. I asked "well, then why do they fit the BioWheel filter/pumps you guys have stocked? Are those discontinued, too?" More confusion. We're talking about a $4 part made with about 4 cents worth of materials. If it's discontinued, they'll just be thrown in the dumpster, anyway. This is a vital part of a machine Petsmart sells! Just CHARGE me for a misc. sale, or GIVE me one of these cheap-ass filters to keep a lifelong-customer who's teetering on Yelping your ass off, and bringing in my 5 daschunds to shit all over your floor. They took another 10 minutes, while watching me for further terrorist activities, and the manager came back with no better solution than being unable to sell me this filter. Just like the stupid computer program he was following. No explanation, no filter, no way, and seemingly not very sorry that he had to send me away without a part I needed for a Petsmart-purchased item. I guess it's the Yelp/Daschund-shit option. Woof, Roof, Woof, Roof!! I had so much fun here today. It was my first shopping spree with my extended human family (my Mommy, my Mom's Sister, my Mom's Mom, and my 2 two-legged cousins and my four-legged cousin) and let me tell you girls were born to shop! We started outside and met all the dogs that need forever homes. I get so sad when I see the dogs behind cages barking; because, I remember when I was one of those dogs. My Mommy always gives a donation on my behalf. Inside my cousins went straight for the cats that need to be adopted. The 3 of us really want a cat brother or sister but our Mom's don't want a cat - I licked the window of a super cute white kitten with beautiful blue eyes then looked up at my Mom with my sad puppy eyes and tried to convince her that I needed a kitty. I was sad for a few minutes until Grandma told me I could pick out what ever I wanted. We browsed all the isles for about an hour. I made lots of friends with other dogs and I have to say I felt like a celebrity especially with the kids - they all wanted to pet me and tell me how pretty I am. I just love it when kids wrap their arms around my neck and hold their face right next to mine - it makes me feel so loved and shows off just how sweet I am! After an hour of browsing I finally picked out a fun squeaky toy and a huge smoked beef shank stuffed with Salmon Jerky. Today, for the second time I reported a groomer Mistreating a small dog. The dog wasn't mine, but the poor little dog was yelping so loud you could hear it from the parking lot. I wish I had the time to wait for it's owner. Instead I got the manager who was not much help and told me that that owner knew their dog was a screamer. I bet if the owner saw how their dog was being treated they wouldn't like it. I called corporate headquarters, they assured me that they would investigate the situation, and get back with me. My daughter took my Yorkie to PetSmart like I have done a few times before for grooming on Tuesday, 12/15/20. The groomer called me and said my dog was ready to go. I paid extra for the coconut spaw. Spaw isn't misspelled; that's what they call it. Anyway, The groomer told me what she had done. I asked her abt his teeth. She said that wasn't included. I informed her that's one of the things I paid extra for. She had to look because of course she didn't believe me. She said oh I didn't know that. She said she would do it. She said it took two of them to cut his nails. I told her I wrote online that he is squirming with his teeth and nails. I told her there was an older lady there who tucked him in her arms and cut all of his nails in front of me with no problem in a couple of minutes. I will come back to this later. My daughter went to pick him up and my dog was running trying to get out of there. She said another dog was getting groomed and the dog looked terrified. My daughter said mama he smells, he's scared and he's not moving in the car. My dog is hyped. The last time he went to the spa when my daughter took him; he was all over the place. When they got home; it looked like they cut his hair not at a five, but almost bald, wiped him off instead of bathing him, his face wasn't washed and his breath was bad. It's winter time guys; I wouldn't cut his hair almost bald and his cut was uneven. So, I called and spoke to the operations manager, Terrel and he said he would have the spa manager re-bath, cut his face evenly and do his his teeth. Basically, do it over and he said he would give me a discount. I told Terrel I would wait because I don't want my dog hurt because I complained. Well, they re-did everything, but I had to remind them of the coconut spaw I paid for and they did that right then. Going back to my dog's nails, so one of the guys who had to help hold him down to cut his nails said yeah. He, my dog was nipping the groomer. I said if he was nipping, her then she was hurting him. He asked is he older? How old is he? It's in his profile that he is 7. The guy said he may hv arthritis and they will document it next time. Next time? Next time? I told them abt the older groomer who was able to do his nails within a couple of minutes w/o hurting him. So, I told the spa manager that Terrel said I would get a discount and she said usually if they fix the problem there's not a discount given. I said that's not what Terrel said and I paid a lot of money. Terrel came and said he didn't say he would give a discount. I said that is what you said. I had to take off my job to bring him back because y'all didn't do the job I paid for when he was scheduled? My time is money. The spa manager said she would give credit or something for my dog's next spa treatment. I didn't even hear what the credit would be. I just got my dog and left. My dog will not be going back to that PetSmart. Keep that money. My dog's safety and wellness means more to me. I'm sure I have left out something. Oh. My dog has a lump by his groin area that wasn't there before. He's bn really quiet and needy. My dog is a lapdog, but he's also rambunctious. He's just lying around. I will be taking him to the vet because the initial groomer may have hurt or injured him. I'm really upset and pissed rn. I hv to spend more money to ensure my dog is ok over a botched grooming. I have become a fan of Petsmart since this year, my darling Rat Terrier got knocked up and had 8 more little darlings just like her...that turned out needing to be bottle fed 2 oz every 2 hours.... They had plenty of puppy milk stocked for these miniature holsteins. After the fun with weaning was over, I took the cream of the crop....the pick(s) of the litter and enrolled them in obedience school with Julie Eskoff. She was more than willing to help little "WhiteFeather" with his behavioral issues and even spent almost an hour working with me and the Feath before she even charged me any money!!! What a nice gal...effective dog training lessons have been learned and she is a real sweetheart. Julie has a white pit bull named Moby that has changed my mind about that overbred breed entirely...Moby is the most docile and well trained pit I have ever seen...maybe they are not all bad. As far as the rest of the store goes, they have most everything, except the really expensive organic stuff like Flint River and other brands found at the doggie boutiques... They have some decent sales and clearance items...I would never buy the toys full price, no point in paying full price for what will end up as cotton confetti all over the house...My neighbors must think I am growing cotton in the backyard from all the stuffed animal stuffins strewn about! read more

We have been bringing our little guy here to get groomed for 10 years. I made an online appointment yesterday at 2pm for a 9:30am grooming the next morning. This morning the groomers call me at 9:27am, while we were pulling into petsmart, to say "oh your dog is a senior dog, we can't take him in because it'll push the other dogs back." What? She couldn't even properly explain why we couldn't bring him in. She also claimed that our dog had to be cut from a specific person from now on. What is that about? They also stated that because of his age, we can no longer make an online appointment. What? Where on the website does it state this? Such a shame that we have been your customer and have trusted you with my best friend for 10 years and this is the service we receive. Your customer service is whack, and you need to change your policies. Luckily for us, Lucky Dog Grooming came to our rescue. New dog has jaws that chew at 4 million PSI. So, I'm at Petsmart A LOT. Some of their stuff is kinda pricey. But a $10 dog toy is cheaper than a new couch, shoes, chair, baseboard, etc. etc etc. Got the Petsperk card and that saves me a lot of dough. The staff is always helpful. Except the guy who recommended the chew bones that "last a long time". Dog ate them in 30 seconds flat. Oh well, he had no idea what he was dealing with. This dog is a freak of nature. Grooming station has no customer service what so ever. Horrendous prices to something that I could've done myself, they are just not doing a good job. We have given this place two chances to groom our little puppy, but they failed both times. This locations grooming services are HORRIBLE! It was my dog's first time being groomed and I told them that multiple times, they were NOT friendly to me or my dog. And instead of coaxing him to the back they just drug him accross the laminate floor. Basically my dog was traumatized and they charged me an extra fee because they said he was crazy and they had to have help. Well duh! It was his first time to be groomed and they did NOTHING to establish trust with him. I will NEVER be taking him back here. We were planning on trying to find a local groomer, but the my little guy got into a mess and was needing grooming pretty quickly and most places are filled at least a week or two in advance. With petsmart we called one day and they scheduled him the next. I've never used a chain grooming place before, and was nervous because I've heard the horror stories. We didn't want anything too complex- just a complete shave down of his body and a schnauzer cut on his face. When we picked up he was happy and they'd done exactly what we ask! And we couldn't stop laughing because he looked hilarious. I thought with it being a chain, it was a bit pricey ($45), but well worth it to have a clean, good smelling doggie again. The staff wasn't the friendliest, but they did the job well. I most likely wouldn't use them again- as I prefer a place where he can get a bit more attention. BUT, if you are in a bind and need someone quick- they do a pretty good job. read more

We are DONE here. First, let me say that I respect groomers and the work that they do. It cannot be an easy job and they don't make a ton of money, so I try to practice patience - but not here, not anymore. I have been coming to this location for over 5 years, but today was the absolute worst and we will not be back. I made my appointment for Mary as I try to keep my consistent with the same groomer. However, when I picked up my dog, she had been groomed by Dawna. When I got a close look at Abby, I noticed that her fur had brown flakes in it. Um, OK. I brushed them with my hand nd they seem to come out easy enough. Well then, I look at my dog's ears and they were filthy!! Like they had not been cleaned at all! I asked Dawna about this and she said that the flakes were from Abby's skin and where she had been scratching. I was like, What? This stuff is dry and comes right off! You bathed her, right?? And what is what is with her ears? Did you clean them?? She says she did by Abby's ears were oozing brown stuff and needed to be checked by a vet. Funny how you did not put ANY of that on my comment card. And I am sorry, but this looks like you just did a half-assed job in cleaning my dog. Because you are saying that you thoroughly cleaned my dog, but she just got filthy again in the last hour as I came to pick her up?? I call B.S. Now, my dog is older and I'm not saying she is perfect by any means. But this was simply a poor job. Case in point, when I got home, I brushed her coat and brown flakes came right out. Also, I used baby wipes to clean her ears and brown gunk - gone. And guess what, three hours later and NO GUNK! Please, lots of better groomers in this area. Please join me in going to them instead. I had a great dane that was in severe need of some manners. I went to Julie at PetSmart in hope that she could tame the beast I called Sampson. At six months this monster weighed almost as much as I did. He wasn't a bad dog, he was just big and clumsy. He was friendly and eager to love you. He just didn't have the manners to sit and be loved. Instead, he'd bowl you over and slobber wet kisses all over you. In the process, you'd feel as if you had a broken limb dangling by a thread. At first, Julie was reluctant to train Sampson. She explained that she had tried to train a dane in the past and it had ended horribly. The dane had no manners and the owner had no clue. Instead of working with the animal, the owner let him do whatever he wanted. Eventually, Julie had to ask them to both leave class and never return. Thus, when I came around asking for training of a dane, she almost refused me. After meeting Sampson, she had a change of heart. Not only did Sampson do well in her classes, I think secretly, he won Julie over. She no longer hates danes, and I no longer go flying like a kite. Julie was patient and flat out amazing. Her tenacity pays off. She is gentle, yet firm. She will offer advice and even invites you to come in on your "off" days to practice your training steps. We are both better off for meeting Julie. I would highly recommend her!! read more

He scratched up my hardwoods and would only pay attention to my partner, We went to Pet Smart and met Julie....and she changed our lives...Now he acts like a cat! :) He's the best boy I could have ever imagined. For this being my first Yelp review, I wish I could post something more positive. However, if possible, I would give the grooming department at the Lakeline PetSmart no stars. I was told over the phone that I could bring my dog in, without an appointment, to have her nails done as long as I brought her in before 7pm. So I brought my dog in around 4:30pm to have her nails trimmed and filed/ground down since I couldn't get an appointment with her usual groomer. Upon entering the grooming department, I was politely welcomed and told them that I was wanting to get my dog's nails trimmed and ground. When the woman behind the welcome desk told Jessica, the groomer that would be working with my dog, what I wanted done, Jessica literally sighed and said "like I have time for that". I should have taken that as a huge sign to get my dog out of there, but I tried to chalk it up to maybe Jessica was having a rough day. Jessica then took my dog and I continued getting all the paperwork filled out since this was my dog's first time at this groomer. From the minute Jessica took my dog, she was yelling at her, verbally berating my dog for being skittish and pulling on the lead Jessica had around her neck. This should have been another red flag for me as my dog has never acted this way with her other groomer. She then put my dog up onto the table to start working on her nails. Every single time my dog moved the tiniest muscle, even if Jessica wasn't working with her nails, she yelled in my dog's face for her to sit still and stop moving. Obviously, this frightened my poor dog even more so she became more skittish and was trying to evade Jessica's touch. I watched as my dog slipped off the grooming table and Jessica forcibly threw her back on to the table and attempted pinning her down to get her to sit still. Jessica was yelling at my dog the whole time. My dog finally calmed down when another groomer came into the room to help keep my dog relaxed. Ultimately all of my dog's nails were cut except for one, but Jessica refused to be bothered to file them down because my dog was "too skittish" and would "absolutely have to be sedated in order to cut her nails". Which I can see why my dog would be skittish when the person trimming her nails is yelling at her and slamming her body on the table, especially when my dog has never acted this way at her other groomer. The assistant manager was polite enough to refund me the price of the grinding, since it didn't get done. I however, want to warn other dog parents of what is happening at this location. If you love your animals, I do not recommend taking them here. And maybe other groomers at this location are okay, but Jessica is not. read more

SO disappointed. Scheduled appt to bring my 4 dogs for grooming. All 4 have their rabies vaccinations. I brought their certificates. On 1 of the certs it doesn't show an expiration date. So after I wrangled my dogs, loaded them into the car, drove 20 minutes, got them from the car to the store, they tell me they won't take care of that dog. Even though he is vaccinated, has proof and all the other ones have the same info, they refused. Will NEVER take my pets here or shop here again. Very disappointed in these clueless staff members. Petco's air conditioner stopped working, but they told me my pup's panting in a hot kennel was due to nervousness. And because she was nervous, they couldn't bathe her. I had to schedule that appt out 2 days to come in at 2pm and was told she wouldn't be ready until 6pm. After they called me to get her, I drove her across the parking lot to PetSmart, they got her in at 4pm, and her and I were home cuddling on the couch by 5:30pm. And to add the cherry on top, PetSmart was $10 cheaper than Petco. My girl looks great and I found my pup's groomer! read more

If you love your dogs, DO NOT get them groomed here!!!! Y'all, I never write Yelp reviews, but this place is terrible! I wish I could give this zero stars. Where to start? This location always smells like pee, is generally dirty and the staff is there.. that's it, just there. They consistently give bad haircuts and the staff has little or no common sense when interacting with dogs, people, really anything. They cut my dog's tongue while giving her a haircut WITH SCISSORS!! She was bleeding everywhere and it took forever to get her to see a vet. When she hadn't even been seen yet they were laughing about it and we're acting so casual while she was bleeding everywhere. The coup de grace, THEY TRIED TO CHARGE US FOR THE HAIRCUT AND THE VET. There has to be something this Petsmart is missing, we've never had a problem at any of the other locations. They need better hiring standards or something.... We just used this one because it's closest to our house, but I don't care how long I have to drive as long as my pups never have to go here again. read more

The absolute worst store ever. If I could give negative stars I would. I spend thousands of dollars at PetSmart and am a rewards member (ie they know I'm a loyal customer). I tried to return a few items (1 wrong size and 1 defective) and after waiting 15 minutes, they said I needed a receipt (despite every other PetSmart just using my account). I even asked if I could just return a small item that wasn't even open and they said no...extremely rude and unhelpful. Will never return. read more

I am constantly leaving stuff behind. Leftover food at restaurants, grocery bags...and expensive pet supplies at PetsSmart. It's really a successful outing if I remember both my kids and like, leave the house with a bra on. So I realized a day after the purchase that is left a (very necessary) 25 lb bag of litter in the cart. I called and spoke to Al, the manager, and he was sooo great. Clearly I can't be expected to remember my receipt if I can't remember my product and Al let me grab some new (actually more expensive litter as they were out of what I had left in parking lot). He was gracious, easy going and completely polite about the fact my memory is that of a 100 year old granny. And now my cats get to poo in fancy litter. I made an appointment for my dog but couldn't get service because my dogs shot records wasn't in system after I had already been there just a couple months ago. I'm glad they didn't have it because I did not want to leave my dog there. One of the lady's was getting after a dog yelling STOP! Don't do that! And Sighing, get frustrated. She was only scaring the dog who literally was staying still. They know how it is already with dogs especially when they don't know the person. The staff there should be patient with these pets. I'm giving 2 stars because I've only been to this location a few times and every time I come in I see no one at the register. Its also very hard to find help. It wasn't till I was already walking out that I got asked if I needed help. Another problem is compared to other stores it is very hard to find things in the fish area. The tanks and pump are in 2 desperate isles. Everything seems to just be thrown there. Pricing is almost hard to find. At checkout we were behind 4 people with 3 more behind us and only one register open. Finally when someone saw the long line they felt they needed to help. After they helped a few customers they left to do whatever it is they we're doing and sure enough another long line formed again. We were buying pet bedding that was buy 2 get 1 free. That was a hassle in itself because their system wasn't honoring the promotion. We had to constantly ask "did it take one off" and the clerk had to go back and redo the entire purchase. We felt really bad that a long line had formed behind us but it was not our fault. Although it was a bad experience we did get something good out of it. We we're going to buy a basking bulb and it wasn't in there system so we got a good deal on it. read more

I have come to this store multiple without any issues. The employees are always friendly, the store is clean, the groomers look happy and handle the dogs well, and the managers seem to be on top of things. Today we specifically had a wonderful experience thanks to the cashier named Michael. After leaving the store my husband and I realized that we forgot to use a coupon that we had. Normally it wouldn't be a big deal, but this would have saved us $20. We turned around and went back to the store and spoke to Michael. I wasn't sure how rude I was being by asking him if he could do anything, but with money being tight this month it was worth it for me to ask. He was so understanding and sweet, I apologized many times and he said he understood. He really made me feel at ease about the whole situation. I spoke with his manager but felt like he needed a shout out elsewhere. Thank you Michael for all of your hard work and for having a smile on your face. Most of my grooming visits have been very pleasant with the exceptions of 2. Both times were groomed by Matthew (2nd appointment I didn't know it would be with him). I said teddy bear face and they turned out horrible. First time I didn't mind since I'm a true believer in second chances and even tipped him nicely. The second time he messed up my dogs' haircuts, he lied and said they were both matted (one of the dog yes but not the other one as I just checked him the previous night). When I came back to pick her up and was waiting for the employees to get my dog One guy was shaving a dogs hair and the dog fell off the table and was practically dangling there choking itself the employee with no emotion on his face just put him back on the table like it was nothing I was soo disgusted,when I finally got my chihuahua she smelled clean but was still very fluffy like they didn't shave down her coat at all so i asked them to redo it which again I don't even know why I gave them an opportunity to correct the mistake. The girl with the tattoo on her arm tried arguing with me telling me that my dogs hair was fine i told her no and to fix it she grabbed my dog and put her back on the table and i stayed and watched and right in front of me my dog falls off the table yelps really loud and instead of grabbing her she moves her body against my dog towards the table to restrain her and then puts her back on the table i was sooo livid i asked them to give me my dog back and i didn't even get a refund they just offered to have me bring her back another day when they aren't soo busy ....pretty much telling me when they are very booked the employees get overwhelmed and are pretty much doing borderline animal abuse after this incident i will never step foot into that grooming salon again read more

Obviously a store that does not care about pets. As we were there buying leashes for my mini potbelly pig, we were asked to leave because the pig was not allowed in the store. apparently unless they sell the animal, it is not allowed inside. I will be taking my business elsewhere, like to Petco, which has NEVER had an issue with my pet. I have never been so embarrassed or insulted. read more

I boarded my cat at the Petsmart PetsHotel and I was very pleased with the service provided. I did a lot of research online and really liked their approach of taking care of other's animals. They treat them as if they are their own. Someone is there 24/7 to watch over the animals, which gave me a lot of peace of mind while being out of town. Also, you can call and check on your animal at anytime to make sure things are going well. When I picked my cat up, they made a big fuss over him and told me how much they enjoyed him. I will definitely take him back there the next time I go out of town. read more

I hate the Banfield here. They never know what is going on or what I need next to keep my dog-children healthy and safe. They tell us that they are due for shots when they aren't and acted like they were confused about how to transfer my dog's files to another location. Don't take your dog-children there if you love them. read more
