I came here to get supplies to prepare for a cat adoption. I was able to get the cat carrier I needed, food, toys and other basic items. The store was clearly organized, so it was easy to find everything I needed. This store also has pet adoptions. The condition they have their fish in is so sad, there was a fish that was very lethargic and obviously sick (clamped fins, sunk to the bottom of its tiny plastic cup) and its water was murky and filled with poop. Honestly, wasn't even sure if it was still alive. I tried to ask if there was any way I could take him home since he was very obviously sick and the manager Shelby was extremely rude and short about it. I would have even taken a discount, it's doubtful this fish will survive much longer swimming in ammonia water from its waste burning its lungs. I was a very occasional PetSmart customer. I find Amazon, Chewy, and Cuddly more convenient plus chewy and cuddly seem to do a whole lot more for helping animals in need. I needed a couple of dog sweaters right away yesterday so I went in for the first time in a while. There were signs all over the toy bins for buy three get the fourth free so I put $37 worth of toys in my cart expecting to get nine dollars back. I was told at the register that was only for members. So I had them remove all of the toys from my cart. What kind of business model is that? The store loses almost $30 in sales because you refuse to give a nonmember a nine dollar plus toy?!?! And guess what, this nonmember will never set foot in a PetSmart store again. You have a very poor business model that does not encourage new or returning customers. I'm sure your business will fold to chewy and cuddly and Amazon because of this in the near future. Stay away from this groomer! Louie, who is no longer there, was excellent grooming my Maltese dogs. The manager, Kimberly, has an attitude, and just thinks everybody who comes in there is a pain. She is always right. She told me if I had such a problem, I should not bring my dogs back there. She doesn't have to worry about it. Also, I have a 12-year-old dog, and a six year old dog, who I've taken into Banfield there the entire time I've lived in Texas. I've never had an issue with them, and they've never had an issue with me. Xander, had been in to see Louie on seven separate occasions before he quit. There had to be some notes in Xander's file about how his hair was to be cut. I took him in there after Louis quit, and Michelle did his grooming. She cut his boots a little shorter than I would've liked, but I than that, it was fine. I took Xander in today, and someone named Claudia did his grooming. My son dropped Xander off and told them that his boots were too short last time. Claudia asked him if he wanted the body shaved at a four, and my son said yes. They basically shaved Xander. When they said the excuse about how my son said to do the entire body, I asked why they didn't shave his tail? Shaving his feet should've been equally as ridiculous to them. When I asked Claudia if a red light didn't go off in her head somewhere before she shaved off Xander's boots, she said that it did, but she was just following instructions. Kimberly told me that she didn't realize the Claudia was working on Xander until after she shaved his feet. When I spoke to Claudia later and she was out of excuses, and changed her story twice, she scoffed at me and told me "it's hair, it'll grow back." Before I could ask her if she knew how to cut boots into Xander's feet after the hair grew back, she hung up on me. The appropriate response would have been "We are SO sorry for the miscommunication! We will refund your money, and when Zander's hair grows out, we will fix it and have him back in the same shape he was in before." That would've been acceptable and professional. There's really no excuse for a dog coming in with this haircut, and leaving looking like this. read more

I frequent this business because they carry hills science diet cat food. The only other place I can find it is Petco or ordering it online. The food selection for animals specifically cats does seem reasonable priced in comparison to other stores. They also phave a large selection of toys. Most people working here are pretty nice. I have had one person that was super short with me when I asked a question. She kept walking away even though I had a few more questions. I had to keep tracking her down. The line also tends to move pretty slow. read more

Since Petco was not adhering to their advertise hours, I was forced to drive farther and go to Petsmart. Store is set in kind of off the normal path. They had plenty of inventory. They had exactly what I needed and their doors weren't locked. Was doing a Online order pick up. Some guy in front of me decided he wanted to shop from the cash register. He was grabbing dog outfits off the rack to compare them at the register instead of picking out the items and coming to the register when he was finished. I sat there and waited, trying to figure out if I should interrupt to ask where I needed to go to pick up my online order. I finally realized there were a couple of signs about picking up an online order. I walked over and was able to figure out there is a special button you push, and then a nice young lady came out and quickly helped me. Our service was great. I'm happy with how she handled it. Hopefully next time I won't be behind someone who thinks their time is more important than everyone else's. I wish the cashier had politely asked the person in front of me to please step aside, and until they were finished shopping, in order to let other people through. read more

We have religiously brought our standard poodle puppy, Austin, to this location because of Sam knievel and Daniel Maldonado. We signed up for all three classes with Sam and are very pleased with the results! She is amazing and has such a positive personality that is contagious. She will always answer any questions you may have and always tries to make class enjoyable for both the owners and dogs. We also take our dog Austin to get groomed by Daniel Maldonado. She always does an amazing job with him, we are never disappointed when she grooms him. She is very attentive and you can tell she is passionate in what she does. Went to pick out things to get a hamster and called a man over to get the hamster. First thing he says was "well if you're gonna get a hamster I'll tell you now it's going to be miserable in that cage." Why do you sell it then? He then proceeded to show us a cage that was $80 and said you're gonna want to get one of these and this would be the minimum size you want. It's gonna be so much happier in a metal box that looks like hamster can 100% get out of? That makes sense!! Work on getting nicer workers that aren't passive aggressive or rude!! I have two Terriers in need of grooming. I typically go to the 1890 Ranch location, which has never had issues with my dogs for several years. Unfortunately, the 1890 Ranch location was short-staffed and could not get our dogs in when we wanted. I booked two 10:00 AM appointments for today, 27 January 2022 nine days prior, back on 18 January for the Lakeline Plaza location. One of my dogs has a heart murmur and is listed in his profile as needing "Express" service, which has never been an issue at the 1890 Ranch location. It is actually part of his login profile name "George - Express." Today, at 9:15 AM, less than an hour before my scheduled appointment, I receive a call from the store saying they cannot see George at 10:00 because Christy has other dogs booked for the same time period - one of which is my Airedale. She said they cannot book "Express" dogs via their website (EVEN THOUGH EXPRESS IS IN THE DOG'S LOGIN NAME!!!) and there was not red flag brought up as I confirmed the appointment. She said Express appointments must be booked by phone, not through the website. Now they cannot take George until Saturday, 5 February. I cancelled both appointments and will wait for openings at the 1890 Ranch location. **I just read another review from a couple months ago where the same thing happened to a customer concerning the "Express" service.** Seems like a pattern their Corporate overseers should look into. How hard is it to address their on-line scheduling to alert the groomers and make accommodations? Why do they book two or more dogs with the SAME groomer for the SAME time slot? They charge more for Express anyway. It's not like customers are trying to get something past them. read more

Angie is the best groomer! She always takes such great care of my fur babies. She is the only one who can give my dogs a nail grind without them freaking out. She calms them, gives them kisses, and knows their name. When she sees me at PetSmart without them, she asks how they are. She shows her care every groom. Definitely recommend her! read more

All my Christmas shopping was done online, except for a quick trip to Petsmart. My four legged son got a bottle of catnip but what do I buy for my four legged daughter. Perhaps she might like a soft cat bed. The store was relatively empty so close to Christmas. Only a couple of cashier were all I spotted. The aisles were packed with "Pet Gifts", you know the expensive pet stuffed stockings. I made my way back to the Cat section. There was only two styles of cat beds. They looked cheap and more pillow than bed. The prices were $40. And $50., so no bargain. I wandered over to the dog bed section. Massive amounts to choose from. I picked up one that I liked and was floored by the price. Seventy dollars for a small dog bed. Why? Because it had Martha Stewart's name on it, not worth it. Finally found a small cute bed with blue leopard print fleece lining and a short pillowed wall around. The price was $30.00 and it was a Brett Michaels brand. My daughter loved it. Now I can't get her out of the bed, except for food. What I don't like is the small percentage of cat products compared to dog products. And seriously, please have "Celebrities" stop making pet products. read more

GROOMING SERVICE IS HORRIBLE!! My 5 month puppy has been groomed twice before this experience obviously somewhere else.. I paid $40 for a puppy bath, and it being "TOP PUP". Picked up my poor baby, he was crying from the time I picked him and continued to do so all the way home. Mind you, the other two times he comes back happy and full of joy!! I got him back wet, crying, and he smelt like they just put water on him. Never using this PetSmarts Grooming facility again!! Had the WORST EXPERIENCE at your Lakeline store in Austin-Cedar Park store. We went in to get my daughter a dwarf hamster for her apartment at school as she is leaving her dog behind with us. We picked out the Castle habitat which you have on your shelves for purchase. And got the full cheeks bedding and food which is recommended on the habitats they are kept in picked out the hamster she decided on. Mind you this was our third visit to decide so it wasn't an impulse but. Her grandfather passed away like 5 days before Christmas so we are all very fragile and this was something I thought could lift her mood. My other daughter went to ask if someone could get the hamster for us. This kid with long curly hair comes over (I am only mentioning this description because I didn't get his name. I wish I had) And we tell him the hamster we would like and he proceeds to criticize the items we picked out mostly the habitat which was the castle because her room is pink. He says you can't get that it is too small and has a lot of paint on it and shows us another one which would be the "minimum" size that is metal and has bars on it and the description of the hamster said they are escape artists so why would we get one with openings. Then he hands me a shopping list and says "I am going to need you to get everything on this list" Not like let me show you what to get or anything just get this. So I pick up the bag of food I picked out and I said is this not good? And he says no. So I go back to the food aisle to look for something else and he follows me and says well what are you going to do? I look at him and say "She wants the castle habitat. If it doesn't work why do you sell it? Why can't we buy that one?" And he says "You can but your hamster is going to be miserable" With that we put everything back my daughter is in tears and we left. I will NEVER go back. We have 3 dogs and two cats we are a pet household and he made us feel like sh&&! We have had hamsters, turtles, and a hedgehog in the past. This was ridiculous and insulting. This is our go to pet supply place for our doggy needs. It's convenient, since it's very close to the mall and also close to other stores we frequent. The staff has always been nice, and able to answer any questions that we have. Their fish selection is nice, and we have bought several varieties of fresh water fish from them. They also have other pets available, including reptiles, which always get some entertaining reactions from some of the shoppers. They have a good selection of pet foods and accessories, as you would expect. It's an overall good pet supply store. We've received good, solid service in the past. There's also a good amount of parking due to the large lot that is shared by the strip center businesses. read more

When we entered for our appointment, everyone was in the back. It took 10 minutes for someone to notice. I was looking around for a bell we could hit to notify them that we were up front. We finally were greeted to hand over our 7 month old and I made it very clear it's his second haircut at Petsmart and he is a pup. The dog groomer immediately handled him and saw he was a little nervous which the amount of dogs barking in the back didn't help. The groomer seemed to do nothing to talk to Bitty or calm him in any way. Even the handling with the leash was pretty forced. We bring our own shampoo for both our dogs. Chobi takes medicated so we are used to bringing our own shampoo. We brought Burts Bees for our pup and immediately was told we couldn't use it or we would have to pay 21 dollars for a Burt Bee package. Apparently only medicated shampoos are allowed but this is a ridiculous rule and overcharge for using a preferred product that we brought ourselves. Lastly and the most egregious was we got called an hour after drop off that Bitty was being difficult. They precut him and during the bath he was apparently rolling over. I don't see how the groomer could not handle Bitty. He is a very easy going miniature schnauzer but he is still a puppy. They didn't even dry him off after taking him out of the bath. Honestly, the groomer seemed to have been late to work and just didn't want to deal with our dog after the shampoo issue. Both of our dogs will be going to a new groomer. Petsmart has lost our business. I just hope the groomer didn't traumatize our pup. read more

I love the convenience of petsmart. They have a pretty decent variety of reptiles, fish, amphibians and birds. At this location you can adopt cats pretty easily and occasionally they have dogs out front for adoption. There are usually a lot of customer's animals in the store, so be aware of that. This location also offers grooming and veterinary services. I have never had a problem with staff. The registers can get a little backed up, but this isn't a grocery store so the lines move quick, because everyone is usually only purchasing a few items. They are pretty good about opening additional registers when needed. read more

Not a good grooming experience the last time we were here. F was shaved again, but instead of an awesome new haircut, he received a terrible, terrible haircut. When I picked him up, he looked embarrassed. How awful is that when your dog has a complex? Have you ever seen a bob on a dog? Not so much... Not only a bob, but this shave was long in some spots, not in others, short here, not there, did you say Demi? Thought you said Dudley. Just can't ever bring F back here. Not coming back ever! This is not the first bad story I hear about this PetSmart. On May 26 we brought paper to this PetSmart for a grooming appointment. First of all the social distancing guidelines were not respected when we dropped off him it was supposed to be a curbside touchless drop off and it was not, the girl that received Pepper got closer to me less than 6 feet without wearing a mask which is what the CDC recommends. After dropping him off we got a call from the groomer advising that he could not dry Pepper with the hairdryer and that he was having some issues trimming his front nails, that he only trimmed back nails, I told him it was fine not drying him 100% and about the nails. When Picking him up the groomer asked me to go inside the store even though I choose the curbside option because I didn't want to go into the store since I didn't feel comfortable because of the COVID-19. He asked me to get into the store get all the way to the grooming salon and pick him up Because he couldn't put Pepper on a leash. I had to to be closer to at least four people in the store which I really didn't want to do. The next day May 27 Pepper started to bleed due to the poor job on trimming his nails that the groomer did. He cut his back nails super short to the point that Pepper is still bleeding until today, he can't take his walks because of this, also when we picked him up he didn't smell as he Usually does after bath, he smelled like if he was only wet or something...I think it's not fair that Pepper is still bleeding because of his groomer trimming the nails so short, if he isn't capable of doing this he could have told me, and that's ok, but hurting my dog or other dogs, that's something I just can't understand. read more

Never going back!!!!!! Terrible customer service in the grooming salon!!!! I went to the wrong Petsmart on accident for my dogs grooming appt. I was early and had to wait outside the door due to social distancing for about 10mins. When I got inside the grooming area we realized I was at the wrong location. The girl told me no problem and she would let the other location that is 5min away that I was on my way. So I rushed over to the other location and now at this point I was 10min late and the groomer Amanda called me and said she couldnt do his grooming now and would need to reschedule. I told her I was almost there and it would be only 15min late for the appointment by the time I arrived. I've been going to Petsmart for years, never have been late or missed an appointment, I've been waiting for this grooming for 3 weeks because of the pandemic and now they weren't even going to try and accommodate my appointment because I am 15min late. Terrible customer service by Amanda!!! I probably should have asked for the manager but I dont want my dog in there when Amanda doesn't even want to do it now. I work by appointment as well and I've never turned someone away because of being 15min late. I'll be going somewhere else from now on for my dogs grooming appointments. read more

Jessie, the grooming manager, was very passive aggressive to me when I was only a couple minutes late due to finding out earlier that day a family member was gravely ill. When I arrived she was very condescending and told me she "guessed" she could groom my dog but she couldn't endure her safety bc there were high needs dogs also getting groomed. Seriously!?! I called back recently and now apparently Jessie is the only one that can groom my dog and no employees can explain why. The absolute worse customer service from their grooming salon. Scheduled a bath and cut for my senior dog two days ago and they call 2 hours before the scheduled appointment and say they can't take her in because she is a senior dog and falls under the "express" service. This is the second time they have done this. We have gone to 2 other locations near by and neither have ever done this to us. They said I should call to schedule her since she is a senior express dog. 1- no other location has requested this from us 2- you see the appointments and don't notice till 2 hours before the scheduled appointment that a senior express dog is on the schedule . 3- why would petsmart.com allow the scheduling to happen if it is against their policy? It is clearly noted online that she is senior and express service and it still allow us to schedule online. It would have been more understanding had they called 24 hours in advance and had a solution. But they don't. They just call and say tough poop we won't take your dog in even though she had an appointment. Absolute worse service! read more

My pups adore the vast selection of toys, and are especially fond of the treat selection.
