I have been going to this PetSmart grooming for years (more than 10 years) and have been happy with the results. Danielle is my normal groomer; however she wasn't available and booked with the a Sharon Y.!!! OMG, she is the worst (plus, I couldn't understand what she was saying/asking, communication was an issue) and so RUDE!! She preceded to say, she was charging me extra, because by dog was noted "can be wiggly". She hadn't even groomed her yet, and I have ever been charged extra, even if she was ever wiggly. Next step, I had to sign the paperwork and she said, you need to put down your dog, now is the past and has never deviated, my dogs are taken from me and put in the back, or I let them stand on the counter next to the groomer, while I sign the paperwork, again never has been an issue. So, I asked, where do I put her, on the counter? She responded with a major attitude, "no, put her on the floor"!! So, I preceded to tell her how rude she is, and has a horrible attitude problem. She then said, she doesn't feel comfortable grooming my dogs, talk about being so mad!! I made these appointments, and had to deal with her attitude, and NOW, can't get my dogs groomed because I called her out on her attituded. I complained to the store manager and he said that is gets complaints about grooming and her all the time (sounds like she needs to be fired), you could tell he was exasperated, but can't do anything about it. Since, it is up to the grooming manager to deal with the groomers. Actually my husband was surprised, I didn't leave when she was going to charge extra for a wiggly dog, so he wasn't to bothered about not dealing with her. I told him that I wasn't going to tip her anyway, since she was charging for something, that was an uncertain if my dog was wiggly or not. Don't waste your time coming to this location. I usually come to this location and purchase all my dogs necessities. Customer service here is truly terrible and nonexistent..... BEWARE!- Petsmart Grooming salon, Cedar Park tx #1835. Took our dog for grooming cut/shampoo. Groomer looked dog over & quoted me $56 +tax. An hour later, I get a call that it'll be $80 plus because dog has a couple of knots in her skirt and they need to use their "special" conditioner. I explained to her that she looked my dog over carefully when I brought her in and she quoted me $56 plus tax and I wasn't paying one penny more. PLUS my dog didnt have a lot of knots. I asked for a manager but of course that person was on lunch. So they gave me asst manager. I explained that they were NOT going to call me up and try to gouge me for the additional $30 for a dime-sized drop of their "special" conditioner. Especially when the dog didn't have hardly any knots. She informed me that groomer would have no choice but to "shave" off ALL my dog's skirt hair if we didn't pay to get their "special" conditioner. I told her they would do no such thing. She then proceeded to tell me that I would need to come pick my dog up because they weren't comfortable cutting her hair. She then said they went ahead and groomed the skirt but nothing else had been done, no shampoo. This made no sense since the entire disagreement was over them not being able to cut the skirt because of knots. Very disturbed by this groomers & dishonest staff at this location. I've already contacted their corporate and filed my official complaint. If you mistakenly quote the wrong price then you estbthe cost and still proform the service. I really don't mean to give petsmart a bad review this is directed towards banfield pet hospital. This vet doesn't care about the well being of your animals just the money in your pocket. I am writing this because I have taken my puppy there to get an initial check up and did a fecal test to check for worms, not a week later I started noticing something different about my pups stools, took him to a different vet and came up positive for worms, the test at banfield came up negative.... I tried to talk with the vet at banfield about how they could miss this. The response I was given was when they did the test that the larva eggs hasn't hatched yet? This answer is a cover your own ass response have a great day. I will not be returning to banfield hospital I care more about my dogs health than I do spending money for inaccurate results.. read more

My mom and I came in looking for a new pet food for our dog who has had problems with the last few foods we have tried. Jennifer was AMAZING! She listened to our issues and the previous foods we had tried and then gave us an in depth walk through on why we may be having problems and the different food options we had. She went the extra mile explaining specifically why they would be good for Chloe and even informed us of foods that had ingredients that may not necessarily be the best such as chicken byproduct. Andrew "groomer" is a sad excuse for a human. Not only should he be fired the lady who was working with him who didn't say anything about how our poodle was being treated should be fired. Emily the manager was suppose to have the manager above her contact me and I have yet to hear a thing. Our poodle is all of 7lbs and was being picked up and thrown down, his head was being shaken in an abusive manner and his poor little heart was pounding. We saw it all from our car and rushed in to save him. Never again we will go and we have been loyal customers for 12 years. We will be contacting BBB among others. read more

PetSmart Grooming has lost my business, and I will tell anyone with a dog not to use their services. At first, I thought they were being overly cautious when they first refused to groom my senior dog. She's a couple of pounds overweight and has a mild heart murmur. They said she had to be cleared by her vet. Well, her vet is right next door and told them she was absolutely fine for grooming. They still refused and said she would need to have a vet appointment and be cleared before she could come back. So I took her to the vet the day before my next attempt at a grooming appointment and had her cleared. In fact, our vet communicated with the grooming salon 3 times (verbally and in writing) that my dog was absolutely fine and cleared for grooming. But the manager would not accept the vet's expert opinion, and again refused us service. Apparently the salon manager thinks he's smarter than a doctor. What a jerk and what a total waste of time. read more

So I am a rather stubborn person, I am the type of person that will walk into a store, grab the nice big $50 pound bag of dog food at the back of the store and then carry it with out a cart and hold it while waiting in line.... True story. They had 2 registers open but I am also the path of least resistance type so I went in the longer line to give others a chace to get out with their quick purchase a bit faster. The cashier (I wish I remembered his name) Saw me at the back of the line with my huge bag of food, came over, and said that he would place it by his register until it was my turn so that I wouldn't be uncomfortable while I was waiting in line. WOW! He did not have to do that; yet he did. That speaks volumes for me about how they value their customers. Excellent job Pets mart! And also their Petperks prices are the best thing around. Seriously, if you haven't signed up yet, do it!!! Just do it! They also send you coupons and discounts for your pet's birthday month! Super sweet! This is definately my favorite Pets Mart location. read more

I have been bringing my dog to PetSmart to be groomed for 10 years. He hates the groomer, the vet, or just riding in the car. He pants heavily and drools immensely. The door of my car is covered in drool whenever we go anywhere. That is his norm. I was called this morning by PM to see if I wanted to bring in my dog. I agreed and they said come on in. That said I am absolutely irritated that I was just 'dismissed' for him acting his usual anxious self. It was said he was 'panting too hard and drooling too much'. I argued with the salon manager that he is always like this. I insisted on the store manager and she was the same saying that PM has tightened their rules in the last 6-8 months. I responded he has been coming here every 6 weeks and no one has complained. It's usually a chuckle regarding his anxiety - poor little guy. Don't get me wrong - when he has been here in the past the groomer has been great. Lisa was his groomer most of the years and she would be around the corner coming into work while we were sitting on the bench and she would call out " I hear you. Poor baby". You would think that a long time customer would be treated better but no. So if you have an anxious dog that pants and drools - don't take your pet to PetSMart. You will have wasted a trip. Of course I'm sure most dogs that go to the groomer or vet are not stressed. Ha!!! read more

Update. I am still waiting for the Customer Care Management Team response. When I contacted corporate 2/11, I was told I would be contacted within 3-5 business days. When that didn't happen I contacted customer care at corporate again and was told the would resubmit my complaint and I would be contacted within 3-5 business days again. Another cycle of 3-5 business days has occurred. As a former loyal Petsmart Customer including Banfield Wellness Insurance on my 2 pets, I am terribly disappointed. Since this incident happened to my pet, I am hearing from many others with similar groom room incidences of concern. This certainly was not an isolated incident and it shouldn't happen to another pet. read more

There is a large selection of toys and treats here but I was rather disappointed by the selection for collars and leads.. The main reason I went to this store was really for the price of the dog food.. Feeding premium food is expensive and I was trying to get the best deal. But the last couple times I feel like its a headache just to get in and get out.. As soon as you even look at the food a sales person is already all over you asking to help, which I don't object to being helpful, but after being told help isn't needed the staff should back off. They don't. They just push harder than before to steer towards a food I was already intending on buying if they would move out of the way so I could get it in my cart. I'm taking my business elsewhere. Two minutes down the road is a Tomlinsons, which isn't too much more expensive anyway, and their sales people seem to know how to take no for an answer. So price is nice, but steer clear of the staff if you choose to shop here. read more

I can't begin to say enough about our Whitestone Cedar Park location. We have been using them for doggy day care and boarding for almost three years. They always take great care of our golden girl and they are so personal it's like leaving her with family! They call when and if there are problems, have opened the doors to take her 20 minutes early before they opened when we had bad weather and needed more time to get to the airport, have called us at home to check on her when they haven't seen her in awhile, taken her into day camp on the spot as a drop in, come up with ways to help us save money on packages for boarding, and even write down how many times they threw the ball to her in a day on her report card! We have noticed the same staff there for several years which says a lot too! It's nothing fancy but it is clean, comfortable, social play and activity great on hot or rainy days! My girl's spirits are always lifted to go play at day camp, and she comes home so tired from a fun day! Give them a try we are so lucky to have them to help with our girl! read more

I scheduled to have my Siberian Husky to get groomed at 5:00 Pm. I get a call at 7:00 Pm and was told to pick up my dog. I get there finding out they did NOTHING at all. They locked him up in a cage without my permission for 2 hours. They claimed my dog was being aggressive, even though I took him to the Cedar Bark Park for 3 hours of hard play. The staff was very rude and handled my dog poorly. Buy absolutely nothing from them, if you drive by them go somewhere else they are not worth it. read more

I took my dog to the grooming center after Banfield stated their doctor was not in for a nail trim for my beagle. The attendant did not listen to me when I warned her my dog does not like her nails being trimmed and would bite. She proceeded to do her nails and seem to be mad at my dog when she bit her. She then dropped my dog off the table and it hurt me to see her struggle to stand with some back issues she has had this last year. The attendant told me I needed to find a manager to issue me a refund for the service I paid for. No apology. I am beyond dissatisfied with the grooming center and will never return. read more

Warning!!! Don't set up vet appointments at this location! Set up appt for exam and teeth cleaning. I even filled out paperwork at drop off stating he was there for an exam and teeth cleaning . They called to tell me after he had been there for an hour that he was ready to be picked up. I was confused because these appointments usually takes longer. They had only scheduled the exam and not the cleaning. The woman on the phone insinuated that it was I who had set up the appointment incorrectly. She was very rude and told me there was nothing she could to to help me. My dog is old and very afraid at these appointments. Now we both have to go back for a second time, traumatic for him and totally inconvenient for me. I have used the lakeline mall location for years, friendly service and no problems. We have a 5 year old Maltese that we have taken to be groomed at this PetSmart since the day we got her. In the past few months I have called to schedule a grooming on Saturday or Sunday since my husband and I work all week and weekdays are not available for us to bring her in. Today was the second time they have turned me down for service stating they have nothing available. Today the girl told me she has notes stating Bailey does not like her feet and paws groomed, this is the first I have heard of this! Makes sense now that they are always full on Saturday and Sunday! The girl recommended me bringing her on a weekday so they can spend more time on her? I explained that weekdays are not available for our family since both me and my husband are working parents and told her I would find another groomer. Seriously?!! If the groomers here cannot handle a 7lb Maltese that "does not like her legs groomed" maybe they need to find another job! PetSmart need's to find professional employees this is just unacceptable that they turn animals down for their own picky reasons. The girl also explained that my dog had only been to their grooming department twice which is completely false, seems as though they have bad record keeping as well. I will never shop here or bring my dog for any of their services again! read more

I took my Bichon puppy there for a trim, and he came back scalped in some areas and hair untouched in others - worst grooming job I have ever seen on any dog! I let it go for a day, then went back and spoke to the manager on duty. He said he would have his manager call me. No one called, and I have switched to another store for all of my dog supplies. Terrible customer service, very unprofessional! First couple of times to the groomers were great, last few not so much. Today had an appointment for 8am. Groomer calls and leaves a message at 7:20am say they need to reschedule for a different day and time because I missed my 7am appointment. I had set up for 8am several days before, and all prior appointments have been at 8am. When I called the first person I talked to even admitted they have been having problems with keeping correct appointments on their end, but this person was unwilling to fix the problem they created. Was transferred to the groomer whom also would not take responsibility for fixing a problem that they created. It was obvious over the phone that they don't care about be professional or are concerned about providing good customer service. Needless to say they have lost grooming business. read more

I'm not sure what changed here but things have gone down hill. I took my dog, Louie, for a bath here several times and was always happy with the result. Louie does not like taking baths but they always reported to me that they didn't have any trouble with him there. The last time I brought Louie, he did not want to go to the back of the salon and he was resisting and pulling. I suggested that if I left maybe he would be more willing so I walked out. The next thing I know, the groomer there was calling my name and told me to come back and get Louie. She said that she would not be able to groom him due to him not willingly walking to the back. I explained to her that there had never been any issues in the past. Louie is a sweet dog and I feel like anyone who is working with dogs should have some basic animal behavior skills and know that this could be a normal reaction for a dog who doesn't like baths. I asked if I could walk Louie to the back to see if that would help and the groomer turned me away saying that Louie would have to willingly walk by himself in order to be groomed. About a week later I decided to make an appointment for Louie to get a bath at a different Petsmart location. The day of the appointment I put my car seat covers in and got Louie loaded up but when I arrived, I found that the salon was closed. There was a sign on the door saying that the AC went out so they closed for the day. While I was reading the sign an employee walked by and said that the salon was closed. I explained that I had made an appointment and the employee said "oh- they were supposed to call everyone". I double checked my phone and no one called me. Needless to say, this was very frustrating. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time! read more

I should have listened to the reviews of the PetHotel. I just received a call saying my dog had blood in her stool, and they are taking her over to Banfield. She was just at my person vet literally days before I dropped her off, and received a clean bill of health. I called to speak to someone, and was informed this is a common occurrence with dogs being boarded for more than a few days, but as a precaution she still has to be checked by the vet. If this is so common why was I not told prior to dropping her off, where I could have discussed this issue with my vet? And if it's so common then why does she have to be seen by their overpriced vets there? When I pressed the issue I was transferred to a "manager", who also told me this is a common issue, and re-stated that she has to be seen regardless. I could not get an answer as to why I was not informed of this before dropping her off, when I could have discussed this with my vet and had medication ready in the event this occurred. Oh but of course my dog is acting just fine otherwise. She's eating and drinking and playing. Not showing any signs of illness or injury. This is a stress response to being boarded, which I was told is common, but conveniently the only remedy is to have her taken to the Banfield vet and be prescribed medication that will likely cost 3x what I could get it for at my vet. And then have to pay for the unexpected vet visit, and pay extra to have the medication administered to her. Next time I will trust the reviews I read and board elsewhere, as they are only interested in finding ways to make you pay more money. read more

I have a Shorkie (shitzu yorkie) and have taken her to this Petsmart grooming salon twice. The first time it went relatively well. Today, the second time, not so much. They charged me a total of $79 for bath, haircut ($7 because they had to use scissors) and special shampoo (including $7 for a "special handling fee"). Her hair cut is a mullet. A 1992 Billy Ray Cyrus mullet. Her nails aren't trimmed. Her whiskers are not trimmed. They didn't give me a breakdown of everything they did like they did the first time. When I asked the groomer who groomed my dog about her nails her excuse was "..well she moves around a lot" (remember that $7 special handling fee?! ..the fact that she moves around a lot is no excuse!) and then "...I didn't want to get the quick". I have had my dog's nails trimmed plenty of times and she is the only one who couldn't manage to get it done. And to top it off, one of the groomers was grooming another dog while I was in there picking up my dog and she kept telling the dog "call down. You need to calm down". She wasn't loving or reassuring to that poor little dog. It was very disheartening to watch. I absolutely will NOT go back and will make a point to not refer anyone to this location. read more

Petsmart's doggy day camp rocks! They take great care of the dog and I really like the fact they have an employee with the dogs at all time to play with them and watch over them! (there are multiple small camps for different size breeds)! They treat the dog with such love and the dog loves going there! Definitely recommend! read more

I've been going to this Petsmart for months now ever since moving to Cedar Park. I have 2 senior dogs, 1 deaf and 1 was a rescue, whom I am treating for heartworms (slow kill method, not arsenic). Every single time I call to schedule an appointment to groom my dogs, they have a hard time finding my name. One time, they scheduled someone else with a dog the same name as mine, and when I arrived they said I never scheduled an appointment but they could "squeeze us in". UGH! Very unorganized and poor management. I have now brought my dog with heartworms in 5-6 times. They never remember my face or my dog and always make a big deal about his heartworms. We have been there 6 times people! Do you really have to ask your manager if it is ok EVERYTIME? I appreciate not wanting my dog's heart condition to get worse but the people here are so uneducated in what hearworms are and the various types of treatments! I will be taking my dogs, my money, and my time to a locally run pet groomer that will remember us and have better customer service, management, and organization as well as education! read more

I noticed most of these reviews are for the other services the store provides. It's too bad the actual store gets a bad rating because of this. I actually go to this store over the Lakeline one because of its curteous staff and cleanliness. The fish tanks are immaculate and the isles are neatly organized. I have never had an issue with the actual store. I can understand though, that people need to voice their opinions about other services. read more

I'm speaking specifically about the fish section and the employees that work there. This one employee who carries around a black bag is always condescending towards customers and holds a completely pompous attitude just because he works with fish. I saw him treat a female customer with disrespect after she explained that she didn't know that the fish needed the water to be dechlorinated after water changes using tap water. Generally, this isn't common knowledge I'm assuming since not a lot of people are fish hobbyists, so it should be understandable. But I saw him gawk and roll his eyes as he guided her to the isle with dechlorinators. Another time I was browsing betta fish and asked him when he would get in a shipment of female bettas. He told me, uncertainly at that, and then bothered for whatever reason to say "careful, you have to be 18 to buy a fish". It was patronizing and the cashiers never even check for fish because...they're fish. I understand the policy applies to other pets, but fish...I mean seriously? He obviously doesn't talk to his coworkers otherwise he would've known that it doesn't matter. Never want to come into contact with him ever again. read more

Really wish I could give no stars for the Petshotel at this location. Dropped my dog off on a Friday evening and picked up on Sunday around 5. I was informed my dog had soiled his bed and their washer was down or they would have washed his bedding. Okay, I understand no big deal I can wash his bedding at home. Get him in the car and notice how horribly he smells and my white dog is now yellow all the way up to his belly from laying in a soiled bed. I called and talked to the Petshotel manager, Mark and he informs me there was a note stating my dog soiled his bed on Saturday and he says when he went to get him the bed was on top of his kennel. Well how long was he laying in it before anyone noticed he had peed in it. If a white dog pees and lays in it he is going to be yellow so why when he was taken out to potty did no one notice it? Or did they even take him out in the first place? We paid for suite so what kind of kennel was he in where his bed could have been placed on top?! I get his bed out of the car and the blanket it was on is soaked with urine as well! I received no notification or anything letting me know my dog had soiled himself to ask if I would like him bathed. Mark said they just wipe them off with a wipe. Called another area Petshotel and was told this was unacceptable and they would have given him a bath to make it right. That store told me to call corporate. I will be calling the GM tomorrow and if they do not make this right I will be calling corporate. I now have to take my dog to be groomed because of the matting on his belly and underside which will cost a fortune after I spent $91 for boarding. I would never let an animal or human sit in their own urine for a day and a half possibly more. It's as bad as a breeder who lets their dogs sit in a kennel and soil themselves. Totally unacceptable if you ask me. We will not be back for doggy daycare, Petshotel, and I'm considering canceling our Banfield plan to go somewhere else. We spend way too much money here for our little guy to have been treated the way he was. read more
