I have been coming here for a while even before they moved spots and every time I come in they'll ask can I help you find anything? I'll say nope I got it but yet they follow you around and breath down your neck. It's like they think you're gonna steal something and I spend a lot of money in this store and I think I am probably gonna find somewhere else because it's really uncomfortable. This is a great store with a large variety of food and pet items. Ashley and her staff do a fabulous job of filling the customer's needs. She is always reaching out to work with local rescues. The grooming staff is amazing. My. Siberians come home looking absolutely beautiful. I give this store top marks in all categories but especially for the helpfullness of the staff. read more

I spent $83 for a groom for a 32 lb. dog with an add on of deshedding premium package, and they finished the groom in 45-50 minutes. My dog is still shedding almost as if she had no bath or deshedding less than a week later. The groomer did a terrible job, and when I picked up my dog, she gave me the excuse of the shampoo that they use opens up the dogs hair follicle pores, so she's gonna continue to shed for a couple days before it finally levels out. I've gotten a deshedding groom service many times before, however, I'm new to the area, which is why I tried this place out, and this is the absolute worst groom I've ever gotten. The deshedding service was supposed to add an additional Hair dry blowout, it's supposed to come with extra hair brushing on top of the already 15 minutes of supposed brushing they do. During this service, she was also supposed to have her glands expressed, her ears, cleaned, nails, trimmed, and filed, and you're telling me they did this all in 45 minutes? They rushed the service, and my dog should not still be shedding, as if she didn't get a bath. And then when I picked her up, my dog yelped really loudly when they were grabbing her from the cage, and the groomer was telling her to be nice to her... My dog has never had behavior problems has never nipped at anybody and I have never ever gotten feedback like that in my life. I think the groomers providing the service here are potentially unsafe to animals and at the bare minimum half ass their job. DO NOT GO HERE FOR GROOMING! read more

I wish I could leave less. They are rude and unknowledgeable. I had a grooming appointment and it disappeared. They refused to honor it yet I had all the reminders. Most other places would have honored their mistake. The grooming lady and the manager were very rude. Then in the front end with the pet food their staff knows NOTHING!!! They are not trained one good food. I was told Victor was top of the line food, when actually it is not. The turn over is insane too. I would go to a local mom and pop store like Totally Pawsome, Pacific NW Pet Center, or Three Dog Night These places actually care about your dog and are trained in pet nutrition. Petsense hires anyone and does not train well as they figure the staff won't be there in a month. read more

Wonderful staff! The staff is always friendly, helpful, and go out of their way to keep your pets safe and well! We called in when our vet said to get a over the counter med for a large dog having tummy issues. The Petsense staff made sure that the product was in stock before we drove in. The product did the trick! We have also taken our dogs there many times over the years for grooming and nail trims. Always a great place! read more

By far the best place to take your pets for grooming! The kindest workers. So informative and helpful! Sophia at the front shop and Bethany and her team in the grooming department were fabulous. This is our third time here! Bethany really knows dogs and understands past neglect and trauma they may have experienced! I love supporting local. The staff was super helpful! Lauryn heard our travel situation and let us take some cardboard that was going to be recycled which was super helpful. We did also buy something haha, we got a cat carrier and she answered our questions about it thoroughly and without judgement. It's under tractor supply too so we were able to use our number for the stuff we got. They gave our puppy lots of love/treats/attention. Overall very good service and if I find myself in the area again, this will be my first choice for anything my pets need :) read more

Unfortunately, this store's return policy and inconsistent customer service is enough to make me go elsewhere. I have shopped there twice and will not return. The young man in the store was quite nice and helpful on my first visit. However, after my second visit, I had some interaction with a female employee on the phone (after discovering that I had not received the sale price on my receipt) that left me not really wanting to go back. I got the impression that they did not care about giving me the sale price, and I felt like the burden was put on me to prove it. I also definitely got the impression that the employee thought I was trying to pull a fast one. Not only was I asked to bring back the receipt and the tags, but the sweater as well. I can understand the tags and the receipt so you can match up the codes, but the sweater? I can't return it and there are no tags on it, so this seemed like overkill. I was already told when I bought it that there were no returns because it was on sale. This policy sucks, but ok, just give me the sale price. At this point, it is a lose-lose for me and I won't be going back, just because of the perceived hassle in trying to prove that it was on sale to the employees. As a side note, their prices are not the best, so Petsense you need to step up the customer service and your policies! read more

Yuck gross disgusting. They have pets up for adoption but the cats litter box was so nasty. Also the employee at the door was not nice at all. She rudely snipped at me can I help you. She also seemed not to know her product. A lady was looking for flea medicine. The only thing she told her was go to the vet. Not my type of store. read more

I went there to purchase some dog food on Saturday 9-26-2020. I ask the associate if I could get a price match from pet co. She look it up and said she could not do it, because it was 10.00 off. She suggested I could pay their price or drive into Olympia and purchase it. Really! I have purchase my dog food there all the time. She never asked if I was a loyal customer. ( where you buy 10 bags of food and get one free) She needs more training or find another job, her customer service skills suck. I have never been treated like that there. read more

This store has competitive prices for what I was buying and a large variety of pet food.

The only thing this store has going for it is location. There are really no other options in the area. I find it is often out of stock on its already limited selection. The staff seems nice but clueless that customer services isn't, I don't know if that was ordered or I'm not sure what day the items will be in next week or if that will be in it. Really? Well gosh maybe you could check...naw just keep people driving out of town for the items they need. read more

Most of the people who work there are cordial and helpful, but manager is neither. It is worth the drive to Olympia to do business with a store that is not run by a person with a troubling attitude.... Someone who is complaining each visit about being asked to do "price match" and saying nasty things about the dog food company I have chosen. read more

I just took my dog there for a nail trim. We'd been looking for a convenient place in the area and nails are a drop in service there so no appointment needed. Britni did my pup's nails. She was wonderful! She was so patient, my dog is very enthusiastic about meeting new people and she was so kind and understanding. My dog has very black nails and she never hit a quick but still managed to trim them well. I cant comment on the other grooming services because we haven't tried them yet, but this is my new go-to for nail trims. read more

This place seemed friendly but when I picked up my dog, she had been shaved so close that she was razor burned. She wasn't herself for days so I have to wonder what else happened. A week after her appt, I took her to the Vet as she was still not herself. I found out that they did not expunge her glands, even though I had paid for that. They need to hire an experienced and compassionate groomer. Either way, no one gets a second chance with my dog and I will just stay clear of this place. read more
