Tater waiting his turn to get his vax
Carla R.

Went to the store yesterday for the vaccine clinic. We just adopted a pup and were unable to get into a vet clinic without having to wait over a month. I was happy with how very nice the person on the phone was when I hooked the appointment. I really like that they sent me several reminders for the visit it was nice because I get busy and forget things, When we got there , everyone was SO nice and even though it was just a vax clinic they really did take their time with him and handled him the way I liked . It was also very clean in there. I highly recommend using this clinic for simple vaccinations for your fur babies. The prices were on par with today's expensive pet care so I'm aware would have paid that much at a vet office too, but at least the pup got his shots without having to wait over a month. My only complaint is they did not allow me to take photos of him getting weighed, and him licking the peanut butter or whatever it was they gave him to keep him occupied. The photos would have been adorable and I would have added to his baby book.

I rarely shop here, but do use the grooming. When first getting my Rottweiler I wanted to find someone to work on getting her nails back in good shape because the previous owner never clipped them for two years. I happened to talk to Leanne and it turned out she loved working with rotties. An appointment was made and Jewel immediately took to Leanne. Leanne was able to get her nails under control, clean her ears and even recognize she needed a little treatment in them. Jewel is always excited to see her, and I've even seen her and Leanne sitting on the table and Jewel getting some special attention. I just wanted to send out special kudos to Leanne for the passion she has for her job and the love she has for her clients. I will continue to see her and recommend her as much as I possibly can.

well i saw the silly creatures and i was satisfied! i was feeling really sad today so i went here to see some cute animals. my heart happy.

Sorry, you can't go to Petco.

Petco Grooming discriminates against customers and pets. They have banned our dogs from grooming because they take medication. Our three year old labradoodle started at Petco's puppy training and we've been loyal customers since then. Once he began his medication, they refused service to him and our other dog. We're done with Petco. Mudbay has been great and Chewy seems to cover the rest of our needs. Our recommendation: forget Petco.

Had posted a previous review but here is the update after talking to an attorney:…read more Disappointed by How We Were Treated We were long-time clients who genuinely tried to build a positive and respectful relationship with this business. We booked services well in advance, followed all procedures, and even purchased additional training services to show our support and trust. When we canceled a December trip more than a month in advance, we expected a full refund based on what we were told. That had been the case in previous contracts. Instead, we were told the deposit was non-refundable, and only 25% was returned. We were told that was final. Another 25% was refunded later, but only after we followed up again. There was no discussion or explanation. We made several respectful attempts to resolve the issue directly, but eventually our number was blocked, cutting off all communication. With communication being blocked off, we were left with no choice but to consult a lawyer to understand the situation. We've never been treated so poorly by a professional, and this situation has caused us and our family an incredible amount of stress, including one and possibly two hospitalizations. The lawyer said that what had happened was not technically legal, and definitely not ethical. In our opinion, the way French K9 runs her business is unethical, and we could NEVER recommend them to someone who is trying to do good by their pets. We're sharing this because we trusted this business and were extremely disappointed. We hope others ask clear questions, get all terms in writing, and proceed with caution.

But when we canceled a December trip with more than a month's notice -- as allowed by the contract -- things quickly turned. We felt backed into a corner and accepted 25% of our deposit back simply because we were told that was all we could get. There was no formal or signed agreement. We later received another 25%, but this was done WITHOUT DISCUSSION and only after we followed up again. We made multiple respectful attempts to communicate and discuss the issue, but those efforts were ignored and my number was eventually blocked. That response, combined with rigid and shifting policies, made the whole situation feel dismissive and unfair. It's really disappointing, especially given how much trust and goodwill we offered.

When I came to pick them up she asked me if I wanted her to bring them to the front. I said yes, but to bring them one at a time since my bitch was in heat. Next thing I see is she is coming out with both dogs. I grabbed one of the dogs and said "No. She is in heat." The groomer responded with "I did not know that". It's one thing to make a mistake but another to lie about it. Additionally, I wrote a letter describing this situation to the owner, Vicki. The manager replied with an email. To it she attached video footage of the event. In this email she attempted to explain why the groomer came out with both dogs together. I had several people read this email to see if they could understand the explanation it. They could not. In this email the manager also tried to rephrase the groomer's statement as"'I didn't know you didn't want me to walk them together because we had just talked about that in the grooming office." It's a good thing they had the video footage because it clearly shows the groomer saying "I did not know that" in response to me saying "No. she is in heat" when she brought them out together. Again I had several people read the email. They couldn't understand it either. The email did not contain one word of apology, which would have gone a long way. I just got an email saying that they had cancelled my future boarding appointments...petty.

Both dogs are extremely reactive to new people entering the owners home, to the point of fear from guests, and needing to put them away and use straight up animal abuse tactics to "correct" them (taught by the trainer). One friend uses a prong coller (used to cause pain when dogs pull on the leash) in the home to correct them when barking at visitors by pulling up (HARD) on it to cause pain. Another owner was told to CHOKE their dog when aggressive behavior was shown. This dog bit my husband and put him in the hospital, and if this person wasn't a friend we would have wanted the dog to be put down as this dog is EXTREMELY aggressive, and this training hasn't even kind of helped. Unless you want your dog to react and act aggressively to anyone but you, take them to someone who teaches positive reinforcement, which is good for bonding and creating positive interaction, even in situations that cause stress on the dog, you can create a positive experience and make them less aggressive with a different trainer. This guy clearly isn't it, based on the dogs I've met that he has "trained" (one was even trained since she was a puppy, the other started training after aggressive behavior had already started)

My husband had to physically carry him out of the vehicle. When I contacted the business, I spoke with Maddy at the front desk, who reassured me that my dog had not sustained an injury while in their care. However, I was not present and was never shown any video footage or documentation to support that claim, which left me with serious concerns about what actually happened. Months later, I received a brief email asking me to update my information in their portal. I responded honestly and shared how unsettled I still felt about the previous incident. Shortly after, a staff member called and said they would be happy to schedule grooming appointments for my dogs since they hadn't been in for a while. However, when I arrived to pick them up, I was told that my dogs were not actually scheduled for grooming but that they "accommodated them anyway." I was then informed that Friendly Grove would no longer be grooming dogs at all. The entire interaction felt incredibly confusing and dismissive, and it came across as though they were simply trying to push us out as customers. They offered a $120 credit for that service and essentially told us to find another groomer. My dogs had been going there for years, and $120 doesn't even cover the cost of a single grooming service. After years of loyalty, the lack of transparency, accountability, and communication was extremely disappointing. I expected far better treatment from a place we trusted with our pets for so long.
