I have a Yorkie/Maltese (14 1/2) and a Maltese (4) that I take in every four weeks. I also had a Yorkie/Maltese that passed four years ago that went here for years as well. They area also always on time with your animals and they will let you know that instead of two hours (for my two small dogs) it will be two hours and fifteen minutes that day. When I show up, they are ready at that time. I have been to groomers that would keep my girls for FIVE hours or more, and just tell you they will call you when your animal is ready. That's just ridiculous. Both of my girls get excited when I tell them I am taking them to the groomers. They used to shake when they would first come out of the carrier, but that was just due to the strange scents and what not. Now they come out wagging their tails and crawl right to Taylor and Joe. I am constantly asked where I take my girls because their grooming is so good. I HIGHLY recommend Calming Nature. You won't be disappointed. Yes their prices have gone up, but they did not raise their prices for the longest time AND they are still cheaper than any place anyone I know takes their dogs.That is NOT a reason to give them a bad review. They also have their cancellation policy posted, they are a business and have people wanting appointments. If you cancel last minute, they can't fill that appointment. A lot of places do the same thing whether it be salons or doctor offices. Remember, if it's your first time there it might take a few times to get exactly what you want if you are picky about what you like. Joe is so great about listening to what you like, or what you don't like and will implement it for you. I have asked him to try something new just to see if I would like it and realized I did not in fact like it at all. It just ended with a "let's not do that again." Just be honest and if you don't like something and let him know if you do.

One of my Chi's was abused before we got her, so she can be very skittish and nervous. Being able to hold her myself during the nail trim made it quick and easy! The shop has small dogs, cats and other animals you can adopt. And the pricing on the toys, dog clothing, ect. is very reasonable! I found K9 Grooming through Yelp and I'm so glad I did. We drive 30 minutes to get here and I won't lie, the salon is pricey. It usually costs me around $300 with trip for a standard Aussie and mini Aussie regular groom. But it is absolutely worth it. My dogs are my babies. We have a 6-year-old Aussie we've had since he was a puppy, and we recently added our rescue mini Aussie who is now 8. Our rescue has extreme anxiety from her past trauma, including living in a hoarding situation. The team here treats both of our dogs like family. I've never once worried about the way they're cared for. The salon is spotless. Anytime I walk into a grooming place that smells like urine or feces or is chaotic with constant barking, it's an instant red flag for me. K9 Grooming is completely different. It's clean, calm, and you can even watch your dogs being groomed so there's no mystery about how they're treated. Recently our neighbor warned us about fleas in the area, so I called K9 as a concerned pet mom. They were so helpful. They told me they'd start with a regular bath and, if they found any fleas, they'd do the treatment and call us so we could prep the house. Sure enough, they found a few a went forward with the flea bath. They provided me with helpful information and next steps. I sincerely appreciate the level of care, transparency, and customer service the staff provide. I could never take my dogs anywhere else after coming here.

I brought my bitch in heat and my intact male in to be groomed. I told the groomer that she was in…read moreheat and that they were to be separated. When I came to pick them up she asked me if I wanted her to bring them to the front. I said yes, but to bring them one at a time since my bitch was in heat. Next thing I see is she is coming out with both dogs. I grabbed one of the dogs and said "No. She is in heat." The groomer responded with "I did not know that". It's one thing to make a mistake but another to lie about it. Additionally, I wrote a letter describing this situation to the owner, Vicki. The manager replied with an email. To it she attached video footage of the event. In this email she attempted to explain why the groomer came out with both dogs together. I had several people read this email to see if they could understand the explanation it. They could not. In this email the manager also tried to rephrase the groomer's statement as"'I didn't know you didn't want me to walk them together because we had just talked about that in the grooming office." It's a good thing they had the video footage because it clearly shows the groomer saying "I did not know that" in response to me saying "No. she is in heat" when she brought them out together. Again I had several people read the email. They couldn't understand it either. The email did not contain one word of apology, which would have gone a long way. I just got an email saying that they had cancelled my future boarding appointments...petty.
