I recently got my first dog every (well first one I have owned and was responsible for. The family dog that my mom got when I was in middle school doesn't really count as my dog.) Not only is this dog my first dog, but I am training him to be my autism service dog. Training a dog for the first time is one hell of an intimidating experience, training that dog to be a service dog increases the intimidation and difficulty by 10 times. If it wasn't for the amazing help and training that All Ways Dog Training has provided, this is a challenge I wouldn't be able to overcome--but thanks to their help, not only am I successfully training Fox to be my Autism Service Dog; he is learning faster than I could have ever expected. All Ways Dog Training has truly been a real blessing in my life, and the trainer, Peggy, has exceeded my expectations in every way possible. I am both Autistic and I am a full time college student. Both of those cause a very unique set of barriers that most people don't face. I have limited income, I need things communicated in a specific way, I need to ask lots of questions, my schedule is extremely tight, etc. Half the challenges that I face as an Autistic College student would normally be enough to make training a dog impossible--but All Ways Dog Trainer Peggy has gone above and beyond in making sure the services that she provides are accessible so that I can be successful. She has absolutely gone out of her way to make sure that I had access to All Ways Dog Training and the training she provides. She has been able to answer each and every one of my questions--even when they are at 1 in the morning! She has been able to work with my very tight college schedule! She has done so much that words alone can never truly express just how thankful I am for everything she has done. When it comes to providing accommodations that I need as an autistic, she has exceeded the ADA 10 fold! Thanks to her wonderful instruction, ability to answer questions, and ability to meet my unique needs--Fox was able to handle being on the bus--perfectly--on just his third day of training! The knowledge and skills Peggy has as a dog trainer is nothing short of exemplary! If you are looking for a place to get high quality dog training that you can count on, at a place that will meet your unique needs--this is absolutely the place for you. I honestly can't give them enough praise for how wonderful a job that they have done. I can promise that you will not be disappointed in their services! read more

Tara has been training dogs for decades. Before her, her Mom, Lana trained dogs for decades. Tara has extensive training in working with dogs from extremely shy to aggressive dogs and breeds. She doesn't use the One Size Fits All method. She trains in a way that best works for you and your dog. She doesn't push any specific tools for learning. She lets you choose what tools you want to use and helps you use them properly. She is patient. She listens. She is always willing to answer dog related questions (whether they are training related or not). She doesn't charge extra for sharing her advice and extensive experience regarding dogs. Tara genuinely cares about a dog's life and the quality. Several clients reached out to Tara after their dogs were critically ill and they weren't able to get seen at the Vets. Tara called all over Puget Sound to get the dogs checked in and get medical help. Tara knows dogs. She trains the owners as well. She helps dogs and owners succeed in getting their AKC certifications. I have personally seen shy dogs come out of their shells. I have seen nervous owners become so confident with themselves and their dogs. Many of these transformations happened within a few classes so it was amazing to watch it. At the facilities, she has strict rules about keeping your distance (before Covid, it was so that the dogs would be under owner control and not get into trouble. During this pandemic, she also has strict recommendations for keeping humans and dogs socially distant). During a recent Kennel cough outbreak in 3 counties, she thoroughly cleaned her facilities and grounds so as to not bring illness to any dog. read more

I am writing this review as I feel very strong about my feelings for this facility. First of all I can not believe that I saw a couple of bad reviews but I will tell you my experience. This place is the best I have ever been to and yes, I have been to many....... Right now I am the proud owner of seven dogs. Yes, seven dogs. Some rescues and some purebreds that I have paid big money for. Four out of the seven have been and are enrolled in at least one of the many wonderful classes that Tara ( the owner) has to offer. One of the dogs is a 17 month old German Shepherd dog that has been to training facilities from Vermont to Washington. We were told that he was aggressive and he would never be what we wanted him to be. This facility was our last hope. Six weeks into one of the programs, my dog who was pretty much not allowed to leave our home due to his reaction to children, other dogs and people in general, is now in classes with many other dogs, people and children that sometimes accompany the adults. This seems like its nothing short of a miracle. Tara and the staff at all ways dog training are incredible. The building and grounds are impeccably clean and well maintained. The staff is very knowledgeable and involved. The prices are so affordable. I will never bring my dogs anywhere else. Please take the time to see for yourself. I promise from one dog lover to another, you will not be sorry you did. Thank you so much all ways dog training for giving us what our dogs and we needed. read more

When I took Lincoln to his first class with Tara I could barely walk him myself. I could not figure out what I was doing wrong or how to fix it. Tara gave me the tools and the skills to teach Lincoln. I have attended several other dog training classes but the approach wasn't working for me. Tara has several approaches and doesn't stop there! She is an unparalleled expert in her field with the experience to individualize your training in a group class. She is attentive during class, asking and answering questions and allows glowing conversations! You can call her or email her between classes and she gets back to very promptly! We behave a busy schedule working 40+ hrs a week, taking classes, taking care of my family etc... it is a one hour a week class class commitment with his training happening the rest of the time in small increments. Lincoln graduated his Intermediate class yesterday with his CGC (Canine Good Citizen) award! Afterward I took him to the farmers market, the pet store, and Home Depot! He couldn't go with me anywhere before and now because if the expertise of Tara I have a companion and a buddy! I wholeheartedly recommend All Ways Dog Training and Tara! Contact her - she can help :) read more

Just finished the Basic Training course for my new rescue dog, Penny. I have to say I was very impressed with the course. Tara was great, very friendly and always offering additional advice and ideas. She gave me the confidence I needed to become a good dog Mom. I loved being able to bring Penny to class early and utilizing the play field before class to help Penny socialize and run around without a leash! She offers this with no extra charge and keeps the invitation open before ANY class even after your dog has graduated. She actively oversees this playtime offering advice and encouragement along the way. She gives homework sheets after each class with ideas that go beyond what was learned in class to take your training to the next level. Tara is a wealth of information and knows what she is doing. I highly recommend All Ways Dog Training. read more

My wife and I spent months looking for the right trainer, right mindset, right facility's, right attitude, and right price structure. We found it all in All ways Dog training. All 3 trainers are incredibly knowledgeable, with patience, but firmness. Thier love of the Canines is always on display . It shows in the regimen, and the instruction. We had a particular tough nut to crack , our boy was aggressive towards another in our household. Tarra interviewed us, and made a decision to help train us humans to better understand out 4 legged friends and be better handlers to them. I cannot say enough positive things about this practice. If you are looking for a trainer for you and your Pup, please consider All ways Dog Training. You will not be disappointed. read more

I have taken my Aussie, Duke, here for training since he was a puppy and he is now 2 years old. The facility is neat and clean. Vaccines were verified as a puppy and for every class that we have attended, proper identification was also verified at puppy classes. The instructor makes it a priority that all dogs and people are safe before, during, and after all classes are finished. The classes are professional and instructors use correction that is best for each individual dog. Definitely not a one size fits all atmosphere. Instructors are available for help outside of class time and the facility is also available for use outside of class time with prior communication. Love this place!!! read more

Best place to take your fur Baby for training EVER!! I've taken both of my Rotties there for dog training. Love Lana and Tara's teaching. .. you just have to pay attention. My Thor was the bestest, bestest dog ever, Lycan is great as well thanks to them. They really training us to train our dogs, it's the best therapy ever! Funny some people just don't get it. Paula M, obviously just does not want to take the time to train her dog by her post. You think the dogs are gonna read them and practice on their own!! ALL WAYS DOG TRAINING, IS THE BEST!! read more

My review of ALL WAYS TRAINING was erroneously placed on Yelp's "not recommended" list. Yelp uses an automated system to supposedly balance reviews if it thinks a business had too many positive responses. Crazy! There is absolutely nothing negative about my feelings towards ALL WAYS TRAINING. In fact, my Service Dog just completed a brush us course to qualify for her final AKC award. Community Canine. Again, I would never take my dog anywhere but ALL WAYS TRAINING because they know what they are doing. They have been doing this for years! read more

Last time I used this place was 5 years ago and I left after the 3rd time when watching Tara push a rescue dog into bitting her numerous times in the arms and chest. Being caught in a time bind and needing to bring my finance up to speed around animals; Tara's approach was again to stand in the middle and yell at people, she put all pets at risk because she does not check vaccination records which if you have a young animal this place is a breeding ground for Parvo. Do you and your animal a favor and pick someplace that isn't so ass backwards. read more

Tara is an amazing dog AND dog owner trainer. She has terrific, creative ideas for working with whatever issues you are having with your dog. She is great at helping people understand dog psychology--how dogs "speak" and learning to know what they are telling you, other dogs, etc. She is happy to spend time talking with you by phone or in person on her own time answering specific questions you have about your relationship with your dog. She is highly engaging and affordable. Best of all? She really cares--both about dogs and their "people." read more

At All Ways Dog Training, Tara and her assistants provide the best dog school you could ever hope for! It was truly a blessing for me, for my family, and for our two dogs when we happen to discover Tara's school. We were so thankful for Tara's amazing knowledge and gift for training. She is unique...a Dog Whisperer. She also cares. A lot. And cares about not only the dogs, but the owners too. Tara's assistants are also passionate and gifted. They are a team and together they offer an experience our dogs love and one we appreciate. read more

We love All Ways Dog Training. Tara is an amazing trainer, second dog we are training with her. Our Poppy is a wild puppy, two times through Beginner, now in Intermediate, she shows progress with Tara and her staff. We will advance through Advanced and Agility training. Training is affordable, and they will help your dog be a great dog. Tara answers all my questions and gives great advice. We won't take our dogs anywhere else. If you want a well mannered dog, taught with love and respect, for you and your dog, this is the place. read more

Tara and her team have really helped me connect with my dog. You not only receive the necessary training tools you receive information on health and safety. I have an Italian Mastiff which is a large domineering breed. I have received the training necessary so I am the one in charge. My dog is being trained as a service dog and I can already take her to public places and she is well behaved and under control. I get a lot of complements on her demeanor. read more

This is by far the best place to go for dog training and it's reasonably priced. I've gone to other places that charge more and don't give you your money's worth. Not only do they teach you the basics but they are also understanding that you can run into problems that are not usually taught (every dog is different after all.) The trainer is caring and is willing to work with you and is able to come up with ways to help you and your dog to be the best. read more

Could not have asked for a more perfect training for my dog . Tara is awesome and I really appreciate how she gave me the ability to work with my 135 pound dog! There were dogs in our class that I was very nervous about but she helped the owners have a dog that was not they could train. The ONLY place thst I can say made it so I could succeed with my dog! Thank you ! More than highly recommend this trainer and their training!!! read more

The team at all ways dog training has taught me and my dog so many life skills I don't know where to begin. I have a dog that has taken four classes and the progress she has made is impressive.
