Update to my review: Maizy went into her first heat in…read moreFebruary so she couldn't come that month and her package days would roll over. I didn't realize it was only for the one month and I had kept asking over and over how many days she had and never got an answer. Several times I got texts saying my dog was checked out and picked up when they had actually meant to check out a different dog and they wouldn't call me I had to text and call and leave voicemails before someone finally would tell me what happened. I used to work for a daycare and boarding facility I know dogs get dirty at daycare but there was one day in particular I asked if she could stay inside because it was raining and we had literally moved into a new apartment the night before, staff said sure no problem keeping her inside and when I picked her up she was covered in mud head to tail. Then the next time after that my aunt picked her up for me and tells me she was wet. When I noticed a $10 charge for a "rinse off" and asked what that was for I was informed it was for when they hosed down Maizy and sent her home went and smelly saying they were under the impression I didn't want her to get dirty..... mind you that was one day I asked for that. I had planned to board her here after I had my baby but when I was given a tour of the facility I couldn't be more disgusted. The putrid smell of filth when you walk in the front door slaps you, the kennel area is dark, they use black wire crates from petsmart to board your dogs in. Nothing lodge feeling about it. I did not end up boarding there. One day I went to pick her up and I could hear one of the staff members SCREAMING at a dog from my car and he was inside the building. I asked one of the other staff members who nova was when she informed me it was his dog. If he talks to his dog that way, how is he treating mine? They want you to think it's a nice clean happy facility here but it's not. It stinks, the staff doesn't listen or care one of the two, and the owner just likes to collect whatever fees she can think of that day. General disorganization. I am a groomer I didn't need to be charged $10 for a hose down and regardless before charging clients for things you should probably speak to them regarding that first. Completely disappointed with the staff here.

She gets back to you so fast and she listens to what you need and completely tailors everything so well. I mean also you should see her facility! It's amazing and you can tell she is putting the time and care into it to create an experience and environment that completely benefits the dogs. She worth EVERY SINGLE PENNY! She even let me bother her constantly wondering how my dogs were doing. I have kennel mates, born together/stay together. They have kennel mate syndrome with a touch of separation anxiety thrown in there. And she totally took my dogs (who are huge by the way) from hard to walk dogs that gave me massive anxiety to take out (it was our first time with puppies we had no idea what we were doing ) and gave me back easily manageable dogs. Simple things like taking them to the vet is night and day from before. She also takes dogs of all ages! You'd be surprised how many people have a negative attitude towards training "older dogs". Ours aren't old but it was worth mentioning. If we weren't moving away I would have paid for more training sessions. I could not recommend her enough to anyone I talk to about training. Did I mention how absolutely cool she is?? Get your dogs trained with Britaini. You won't regret it! And if you do then you're just wrong. You'll know it's her by her amazing pink monster truck. 200000/10. Don't sleep on Bombshell K9

Luckily, though an odd chain of events, I connected with Britiny at Bombshell K9. From our first conversation I knew she was the trainer for us. She is professional, caring, tough, understanding...and confident that even dogs who have experienced severe trauma in their lives can become amazing family/community dogs. After only three or four sessions I was able to comfortably walk the dogs through our neighborhood without the fear of seeing another dog and experiencing chaos. They can now sit, lay down, wait, heal and come, all thanks to Britiny's no-nonsense approach. And my dogs are so happy to be working on their skills. They love the challenge and the time we spend together. I like to call Britiny the "dog whisperer." She expects the best from her pups, and they love her for it. And she gave me the confidence to believe in my ability to help them along this journey. I'm so glad we stumbled onto Bombshell K9 and encourage anyone looking for a professional trainer to give them a call. Bombshell fans for life - Patti and Tim

I couldn't leave him in the house alone while at work because he would (literally) make himself sick with worry. Connie welcomed us as new clients and, as she is a generous, wonderful person, we became fast friends. She has steadily been there for me and my Hubie over the years. Weekdays, weekends, overnights, in a pinch at times with little notice... sending me cute pictures throughout the day of my boy, feeding him, giving him medicine when needed, taking him to the groomer, going on little walking adventures, giving him a little brush 'n fluff from time to time... I even moved back east and she still couldn't get rid of me! When I come back to Olympia periodically for my current job, I bring Hubie simply because I know he misses her. Connie has enriched both our lives and I'm so happy to call her a dear friend.

After our local training place closed we were looking for other options and committed to positive reinforcement training. Unfortunately a lot of trainers use aversives, especially with large strong dogs. We were so excited to find Julia, and after our meet & greet we were confident she was a good choice. Julia did a 2 week board & train with our dog while we were traveling, mainly focusing on leash skills and practicing calm behavior around exciting things. We noticed an immediate improvement, but have also been continuing to work on the training at home after our follow up. I'm happy to report that we are continuing to see improvement using Julia's methods.

I was told she was offered a great deal for the rental and some homemade dog treats. Parking was a bit confusing as the parking nearby the business was full and there was a spot that we think was free to use but not sure. As we entered, we were greeted by a staff member who let us in and the space is huge! There were plenty of toys, a dog pool, and little obstacles for dogs to enjoy to their hearts' content! They even have a hose to fill up the pool or just have your dogs chase around. There were little cubbies and lots of areas to hang leashes, coats, and other stuff on. They had Youtube videos playing too. The dog treats were so creative. They had cannoli, biscuits, and much more. All of our dogs seemed to have enjoy the treats greatly, no treats were left behind. All of the dogs seemed to be enjoying themselves as they just had so much to do or other dogs to play with. Definitely look forward to coming back here to throw future dog parties as our group loves to do little events for our fur babies.

It made me wonder about the ratio balance between humans vs dogs. I had dropped my dog off for a behavioral assessment, as we have trips coming up and I'm looking for boarding care. This is not where I'm personally comfortable leaving my pup, as the ratio seemed to be 1 human to 15 or 20 dogs in an indoor-only, less than 1500sq foot space. The good news is they are so kind and nice humans, if I was rating them they'd earn 5+++ stars as I'd leave my dog in their care anytime! The problem I had was the physical space (super tiny!) and the ratio of dogs, as they allowed 3 or 4 pups to greet my dog while 15 or so were in a hallway-type space patiently waiting and sooooo well-behaved, to greet and play. The space for playing is very limited, about 1/2 the size of a classroom, and while it's clean and the staff are super lovely, it's probably not the best fit for our pup who loves to play fetch and run. Parking is also super tricky in this neighborhood, as there isn't a parking lot or spaces reserved for the business.
