While the groomer got most of the mats out, she left him looking shaggy and uneven. No bath, no clipping nails, no trimming up and we were charged twice the normal fee I've paid in the past to other groomers. The Rain or Shine groomer seemed to be rushed and afraid that he would bite or scratch her. The sanitary cut was below par and he still has poop in that area. In a word, he looks terrible. Plus, we had to hold him down for her. We've had many animals groomed elsewhere and never had to assist the groomer in that way before. I would absolutely not recommend Rain or Shine for cat grooming.

If I had continued with the vet in Burien, my pooch would have lost her eye to a treatable ulcer and I would have paid through the nose for the multiple incorrect treatments. Haigh Veterinary Hospital not only diagnosed her correctly the first time, they are less expensive than all the other vets I've been to with various pets. I hate driving, but the Haigh Veterinary Hospital is so worth it, I'll just have to bite the bullet and do it.

This despite Gary Haigh being a cranky, insensitive vet with no bedside manner and one time confusing my cat for somebody else's when recommending treatment. But a recent event caused us to divorce him from care. My dog sustained a puncture wound in his shoulder. I called the vet's office first thing the morning I noticed it. I was told they were very busy but could see him at 2:30pm the next day. I told the receptionist that he had a puncture wound and would need stitches. The next morning, I called to tell the receptionist that since my dog had a puncture wound and would need stitches, I was withholding his food since he would need sedation. I showed up at 2:30pm. A tech weighed my dog and took his temperature. He and I went into an exam room. Gary Haigh looked at my dog from across the exam room and said "He has a puncture wound. He'll need stitches. You need to come back tomorrow." He also charged me $60 for the across-the-room exam. I told him that his receptionist knew my dog needed stitches. Why would she schedule a 2:30pm appointment if he couldn't perform the surgery? Haigh yammered on about how he was 74 and didn't want to work hard and I could blame attorneys for making it so that vets couldn't keep animals in their hospitals overnight unless there was a vet present. He said he could ensure the dog got surgery the next day if I brought him back, so rather than take my dog to an emergency vet where he said I'd be overcharged, we returned the next day. He charged me over $2,700 for 5 stitches. I was stunned. We had an appointment to return in 2 weeks to get my dog's stitches removed. I asked that my pets' records be copied and ready for me to pick up when we brought my dog in. A tech removed the stitches. Haigh did not check on us after surgery by phone to ensure that my dog was doing okay and did not look at the wound to see if it was healing on the day we came back to have the stitches removed. He mistreated and overcharged loyal customers. We have found a new vet.

It was not made clear that by earlier he meant that day (8/18). Services were completed without any discussion or agreement to a quote. According to my Ring doorbell Mike arrived at 11:04 am and left at 12:16 pm. The total cost of the services completed were more than my husband, realtor, and I would have agreed to pay for. Due the fact that we were not offered a quote prior to services completed, we did not have the opportunity to deny services. On 8/20, my husband stopped by our unoccupied home to discover that the door had been left unlocked by Mike. Our realtor had left a lock box with our key and provided Mike with the access code to unlock and lock our door. This means our home was left unlocked, while unoccupied to 2 full days. Upon discussion, our realtor contacted Mike to discuss our displeasure with the way services were completed without a quote agreement and that our front door to our home was left unlocked. We felt that we should have been offered some sort of price reduction off of the cost of the services completed without our consent and for our home being left unsecured. Unfortunately, we were offered nothing and have been left with a sour taste for the way Mike handled business with us.
