My dog was traumatized and abused by the woman who owns this business that is run from her home…read more One of her neighbors warned me of her abusive treatment of dogs using a stick to beat them in the knees, and using high voltage shock discipline for training to the point they pass out and lose control of bodily functions from the pain. I didn't want to believe it, but just in case ... I arranged with that neighbor to let me spend a few hours at their place after dropping off my dog. Their home is right next door to this Excelon. I could easily see the business property and kennel and training areas through the surrounding border of trees. After only a half hour I saw the Excelon woman come out to begin "training" session. She gave the command sit to the small/medium size dog but the dog looked at her as if he didn't understand. She then touched him on the head with a large silcer wand that resebled a cattle prod and she laughed ... she laughed as he screamed in agony! After about 10 minutes the dog fainted from the pain causing it to lose cobtrol of its bodily functions. This made the woman angry, and she left then returned with a sheet of cardboard that she rolled the dogs limp body onto. she dragged the dog out of the kennel, then hosed the kennel down. Then she dragged the dog back inside and rolled him off the cardboard and on to the wet cement. I called animal control and got the run round about their only being one officer and that she would be out as soon as he could to investigate. I later learbed from the neighbor that the Excelon woman continues torturing dogs because she now does the training inside a large shed where nobody can get video evidence to prove the truth. If you love you pets do NOT take them to he Excelon in Shelton Washington!

She is the most well balanced, highly trained dog I have ever owned. She is with me at all times and behaves like a service dog should in public. We continue our training with Excelon to keep her skills sharp and training has always been professional and humane. I called her…read moreat 6:15pm the night before and left a detailed 2 minute message explaining the dog training that our dog already is in and we did not want to confuse our dog with her training and the impending weather problem. She never confirmed our meeting I assumed that she received the message. I recently called (11/22) and Karen proceeded to ream me on the phone for not showing. If I had not cancelled, then why wouldn't she call to confirm. She also yelled and said that I didn't tell her in advance. Our agreement was to decide depending on the weather so again, I even called the day before as I read the inclement weather report. She was hostile and Beltran as well.

We thought Bento was an aggressive dog, but Jamie said he was just reactionary so he was willing to train him. We have been working with Jamie for over five months, and we love his teaching methods. He is very skilled and provides us (the humans) with individual instructions on how to improve our dog and our own reactions to him. We have been dedicated to getting Bento to be less reactive and he is doing much better. We have walked the mall three times; once with a group of his dogs and twice with just Jamie. Jamie has an excellent assistant instructor when he needs him to be available. We are now working on agility training, which our dog loves. We love Jamie and will continue to have him train our dog for as long as we can.

Once a week got him on phone & told he would email or call...none of either. Phone won't accept voicemail, no response to text. There are 4 of us who compete in events listed on his website with two of us who have tried to nail him down for training, with being left feeling he has no interest. One has been trying for months. Having to go with somebody else to train with after well over reasonable amount of waiting with no attempt from Bart to return contact. Blows my mind how a trainer can just ignore multiple long term clients who are looking for somebody to train with closer to home. Will look at him again if he surfaces. But we have dogs in need and competitions upcoming and can"r afford to sit and wait to see if he surfaces. One of the group has already been with Scott Haywood w Centrailia Pet Resort, I'm going to sign up tomorrow as he has followed through with getting back, setting prices, and setting concrete schedules.
